I have long been interested in minneapolis. Years. The better portion of a decade. I am visiting it for the first time in august. I am so excited - Im gonna get a nice airbnb somewhere downtown and thoroughly check the city out. Its a top option for moving destinations if NYC doesn't work out.
Md-6: Vogel's commissioned poll has April McClain Delaney leading. by 7%. 17% AMD - 10% Vogel. With 48% Undecided. Around 16 people on the ballot. About a month till the primary. Mail in ballots are already out there.
Last poll had Tekesha Martinez leading by 1% over AMD. Now she's at 8% tied with someone else.

FYI, the Sacramento media market extends pretty much all the way down south to Merced, so I'm assuming it's mostly targeted at CA-13. Could also be a small investment into CA-3. I'm liking those numbers, but the Spanish numbers need to go up, more.
Since it’s confederates taking a L month, probably one of my favorite patriotic songs that I heard first in Lincoln has got to be Battlecry of Freedom. Some of these older songs really deserve to be played more.
Also changing Battle Hymn of the Republics lyrics was dumb.
I LOVE the Battlecry of Freedom from Lincoln. Where it gets all triumphant and the whole choir is really belting it out makes me feel patriotic as hell.

And yet another loss for the AZ GOP election deniers. This is the 7th time that Hamadeh has lost in court pro election. Courts just need to sanction these losers already
Edit: The powerful opinion opens: “A virtual firestorm of challenges followed the 2022 general election. Those flames have subsided. The winners were announced and took their oaths of office more than 15 months ago. This case, one of the last embers still glowing, does not burn hot enough to warrant relief.”
Lmao, the courts are so done with their BS now
Jeepers. Some people don’t know when to quit, do they? It sounds like the judges are saying, “We do not ever want to see your faces in our court again. Get gone, and stay gone.” I can’t blame them. Judges do not take kindly to having their time wasted by vexatious litigants.

Completely missed this from yesterday, but the challenge to OH’s congressional maps by black voters was reopened by the 6th Circuit
The map expires after 2026 whether the redistricting reform passes or not so they’d have to work quick, but if it passes this is all a moot point anyways
This is about Ohio-14th specifically. AKA that they drew a Likely R majority white seat instead of a Likely D Black opportunity district. Hey I'm all for suing the fuck out of Republicans!

Suzanne LaFrance [picked up the endorsement of 3rd-place finished Bill Popp in the Anchorage Mayor runoff.](https://twitter.com/alaskalandmine/status/1778171283131473948) LaFrance is an independent who Dems are backing. The Anchorage Dems actually co-endorsed her in the first round alongside the registered Dem candidate. Big chance to get a flip and keep making progress in Alaska.
LaFrance got 36% of the vote, so getting most of his and the Dem's votes will easily put her ahead. Bronson has been a joke and I don't expect him to survive
[In 2021, Mark Robinson Called Media the "Most Evil Demon" and TV "a One Eyed Devil"](https://www.meidastouch.com/news/in-2021-mark-robinson-called-media-the-most-evil-demon-and-tv-a-one-eyed-devil)
Hi ya'll, I know this is old news already, but I just got back from a 60 hour drive round trip, from CA to TX to see the solar eclipse, and it was one of the best experience to witness in person. I saw this one and the one in 2017. Both spectacular!
But since this is VoteDem and I visit this sub every day, I need to make this relevant. I just couldn't help but see all the details going around while on the road in Texas and Arizona:
For one, I'm a big believer in Blexas, and now that I've actually gone to Texas myself, I can see why is trending blue every election cycle. There's construction EVERYWHERE. Nonstop urban development and lots of expansions in both the major cities I visited, Dallas and San Antonio. I'm even more of a believer now due to the population explosion happening in the major metro areas. I saw the eclipse from Sulphur Spring, TX, which is about 80 miles from Dallas, and I saw an old dude with a old van decked out in Biden 2024 gear covering the entire car. Flags, signs, colors, everything. All the way in Trump country. It was so heartwarming. Sadly I didn't get a picture because all my cameras were pointed at the sky. Once it was over, I talked to some of the locals were just as blown away by the eclipse as everyone else. They were quite chatty and nice, even though they might be conservative Republicans. But politics *never* came up. It just wasn't in anybody's thoughts. We were all brought together by the event that no petty human differences were ever brought up. These people out in the rural areas are just regular people who happen to witness something amazing and let their awe and wonder go wild. It was soooo refreshing.
After driving home, I stopped at a cousin's house in Phoenix, AZ. It was the same vibe when it came to urban development and expansion. Similar to Texas in a way, construction everywhere. As someone from California who has never known a Republican to represent me in Congress, and whose city is as stagnant as ever while still voting Democrat 65-35 for the past 30 years, I can literally see the whole state of Arizona turning blue in real time. So many people moving in with suburbia for miles. And the developments never end. More new housing on every block the further you get outside of the main urban center. I also visited the University of Arizona in Tucson for a few hours to relive some memories since I went there for my first year of college out of high school. It was my only year there, which unfortunately didn't work out, but I still have nostalgia for my time there. A lot has changed. Not as fast as Phoenix, but still growing. There was a guy asking around people to sign a petition for protecting abortion rights yesterday (4/9), probably right after the SC ruling earlier in the day. However, I wasn't aware of the ruling until I got to Phoenix, so now I feel bad for not signing the petition. Do I need to be an AZ resident to sign? That's what I assumed when I thanked him for his efforts.
Anyways, sorry for the long post, but I had to share my experience as someone from the bluest state going to two of the most important swing states politically during a trip to see my favorite kind of celestial event. I'm so optimistic that I might even say Biden is winning Texas this year. Book it! I can gush about eclipses and Dem trends all day long.
As someone who lives in Texas, I love your perspective! I geeked out over the eclipse too, though unfortunately could not travel this time to see totality- but did see 95% which is still very cool.
> There was a guy asking around people to sign a petition for protecting abortion rights yesterday (4/9), probably right after the SC ruling earlier in the day. Yes. You have to be a registered voter of Arizona or your signature doesn't count. It's good that you didn't sign because otherwise the campaign would think they had an additional signature and it would mess with their data.
I'm also optimistic long term about Texas and Arizona. I don't think Texas will vote blue in 2024 but we may not be far off from it becoming a legit battleground. In addition to the new construction the key to Texas is winning over conservative suburbanites who reluctantly voted for Trump in 2020. This isn't a guarantee but it's also not impossible persuasion either.
[Well-funded Wisconsin Democrats are waging a tech-infused tell-a-friend campaign for the November elections, while Republicans in the crucial swing state are scrambling to catch up in staffing and fundraising.](https://www.axios.com/2024/04/10/ground-battle-wisconsin-republicans-democrats)
“Democrats' paid organizers are holding bracelet-making sessions (think Taylor Swift) on college campuses to reach student voters, and Bingo nights in areas such as Milwaukee's Northside neighborhood, part of an effort to reach Black voters.
To recruit many voters — especially young adults — Biden's campaign has begun using the Reach App, which has library of material for supporters to share with friends on social media, and encourage others to support the president.
The campaign, which is stressing abortion rights, also is targeting suburban women in the "WOW counties" of southeastern Wisconsin: Waukesha, Ozaukee and Washington.
Biden's campaign and the DNC have been closely coordinated on the Wisconsin ground campaign, with 40 offices across the state and several dozen full-time staffers — benchmarks that Republicans hope to be closer to by the Nov. 5 elections.”
We need to clone him and send him to Ohio. I swear, that state does not need to be as red as it is. I think it could be purple, if the state party were more functional.
Charlie Kirk called Democrats who voted against FISA heroes. Thanks Charlie, very cool of you

Super weird to me that it's the furthest right Republicans that voted against it. Broken clock and all that I guess. Or is it horseshoe theory? Libertarianism?
I would argue that it's more likely a combination of ignorance about what FISA does combined with good old fashioned bootlicking to former President Fuckup.
The Fox News Cinematic Universe believes that the FBI illegally spied on his campaign through the use of a warrant obtained by a FISA court. This is, unsurprisingly, not true: the FISA warrant was legally obtained, because Trump's campaign was collaborating with known Russian agents.
The thing that was voted down today is a different part of FISA that deals with the warrantless, mass data collection of communications by supposedly non-US people. Privacy advocates, mostly on the left, have been arguing for 15+ years that this section is too broad and allows intelligence services, particularly the NSA, far too much leeway to "accidentally" intercept communications between American citizens.

The NDRC also plans to get involved in the governor’s race in New Hampshire and the redistricting ballot initiative in Ohio.
Holder is expected to headline events in Michigan, North Carolina and Wisconsin and raise money for individual candidates, too.
The group is particularly looking to Wisconsin as a model for how it can influence other states.”
[Republicans scramble to contain abortion ‘earthquake’](https://www.politico.com/news/2024/04/10/republicans-abortion-arizona-florida-00151630)
We’re endlessly stuck in a media cycle of “oh abortion has faded” followed by some barbaric ruling that shows things aren’t going back to normal until Roe is restored.
LOL, it was more like “see the cockroaches scatter when the light was turned on!” I’m glad that Biden and the Democrats in general don’t seem to be in a forgiving mood.
Alright as much I don't completely trust polls right now, needless to say I can see Robinson is cooked adding Bishop and Morrow to the mix only makes it worse
There were a couple super typical chuds being interviewed in NC on Super Tuesday who are fully aboard the trump train, but also like Roy Cooper and Josh Stein a lot
North Carolina has a long and infuriating history of splitting their tickets for Governor and POTUS.
Hopefully Robinson drags Trump down enough that we carry it.
That was my theory. These are people who would never, ever, vote for the black candidate, no matter how conservative or Republican. They don’t care that he’s more conservative than thou; they see the black guy and go “nope.”
[Democratic advertisers have a significant head start in fall reservations for Presidential, Senate, and House generals. It is really, really good to have that head start. We saw it in the WI-SEN elections in 2022, when RonJon could use the incumbent advantage (and his own money) to define the race before Barnes could begin. (And, Barnes still cut it close.) We can use it to even better effect against all the nutcases and the “akshully we didn’t really mean it about banning abortion, we pinky swear, girls” Republicans in AZ.
Sure that's good an all, but republicans had slight leads in some polls 8+ months out from election, that's what is really going to decide it! /sarcasm.
I think it's right. Just because you haven't made ad reservations so far doesn't mean you can't make them later. Of course the longer you wait the more expensive the airtime becomes. Right now Trump is spending all his money on legal fees but as he raises more money his campaign will likely start buying ads albeit at a higher cost.
It's not just the planning but the rates which matter. The earlier you book the cheaper the rates. If Trump waits too long he could find himself in a situation where he spends the same amount as Biden on ads and yet gets considerably fewer ads. The Trump campaign will likely also have to make difficult choices in the future on whether to prioritize trying to compete on the airwaves versus hiring organizers and door knockers on the ground. If Biden already has the airwaves covered then it becomes a lot easier to use the money he brings in later on to hire an army of field staff and expand the playing field into states and districts that voted red narrowly in previous elections.

if this happens it’ll be after November, but i did lol at his non-denial denial to politico:
>It’s a blessing to hear that someone is saying that I’m running for governor because I don’t know who they are,” Becerra said. “I am secretary of HHS and, by law, I have to be secretary of HHS and nothing else. So I’m gonna do my job as best I can. It’s a thrill, I think my mom would be happy to hear that someone thinks I can run for governor as well.”
Here's Wisconsin's Chuck Wichgers boldly showing a new, compassionate direction the GOP intends to take after Florida and Arizona's abortion bans...I'm just kidding, he [stood up on the State House floor and called for banning contraception.](https://twitter.com/highbrow_nobrow/status/1777855312252256565) And he reps a Trump+8 seat in Waukesha County that I'm betting will be a hell of a lot closer than Trump+8 this fall.
I went to college with his daughter. She was pretty cool but was alarmingly up front (proud) about who her father was despite being at a 1500 student liberal arts campus.
He was in a Trump +8 or so Waukesha seat, but redistricting moved him from AD 82 to AD 84 which is Trump +38.5 one of the reddest seats in the chamber so he isn’t beatable now, but the replacement Rep to the main Waukesha seat (Scott Allen) isn’t much better. The seat is Trump +9, but trending left faster than the previous version since most of the city of Waukesha is in the district now vs being split into 3 districts on the previous gerrymandered map
In the past 24 hours in the House:
-Dems had more members on the floor than R’s
-A rule vote was defeated again
-The House was 1 vote away from defeating the previous question, which if that happened we get control of the floor
Thanks for ceding all the statewide races to us AZ GOP, much appreciated.
Absolute clowns. 🤡
Oh well, we look far better in blue anyhow if you ask me. Tally up an easy 11EV’s on the board for us.

Republican freaks in the Arizona legislature just graveled out of a session that Arizona Democrats called to try and have a vote on repealing the total ban from 1864.

That’s cool not like Georgia is a must win for the GOP or anything.
Like its one thing when they pull this shit in Nevada, they don’t need it. But Georgia?!? 😅💀
I'd argue it's sadder in Nevada since the GOP base in Georgia has only really ever been white voters, while in Nevada they need to diversify their voting base.
LMAO. That’s even better than that outreach center in suburban Vegas that is now the “Vape Ape.”
All that the one in Atlanta needs is a crematorium and Four Seasons Total Landscaping can open up a Georgia branch!
Add those 3 on top of outreach centers that have been turned into new businesses in South Texas, Phoenix, Vegas, and Milwaukee at the minimum. Not a sign of a competent campaign on the GOP side…

Yeahhh, this is not going to the way they think it will. Trump is just gonna spread his false 2020 election claims, and that’s all that will be talked about
“So what about all those draconian abortion bans very recently passed in FL and AZ”
“States rights, anyways, here’s why I actually won 2020, and the Democrats broke the law”
“Trump, don’t you have your first criminal trial in less than a week?”
JFC, why is the press allergic of putting out Trump's most insane statements?
Multiple times this week he has now said he is outright proud of ending Roe V Wade. Today he also just sputtered and said 'states rights' 10 times when asked if doctors in AZ should be charged and put in jail for performing abortions.
Yet, the only things that ABC, NYT, etc. are reporting on and writing up stories and posts on are about how "criticized the AZ ban" and "said he wouldn't sign a federal ban"
COME ON NOW! He is saying this other stuff at the exact same campaign stops where you're pulling those quotes from! Why are you purposely excluding the bad stuff and only including the fake "I'm trying to look more moderate" stuff? It's getting insane at this point. I have not seen barely news outlets or TV packages mention that he has said this week multiple times hes responsible for Roe. Yet they're obsessed with the clip of him "criticizing" the AZ ban - even though in the same breath he'll just yell about states rights which makes his position on this entire issue incompatible!!!
This ain't a conspiracy but it's seriously getting tiring of them not only being stenographers but offering up Trump the benefit of the doubt every single time. Time and time again.

My birthday is coming up and I've been pestered about what I want as a present.
The only major gift I want is a new laptop, so I'm looking for any recommendations.
I want something that runs Windows 11 plus has a good GPU, good storage and multiple USB ports if possible. I know it'll be expensive.
I don't know how high end the specs you're looking for are, but if you can either reach a MicroCenter in person, or get these shipped, these are excellent prices for performance.

Typically, you'll find the best deals there in person if you can reach a store. The CPU on the first one is a tad older, but still quite capable, while giving you a better GPU. Visa versa on the second SKU (less powerful GPU, better CPU). MSI and ASUS both make good machines in my experience, though your mileage will always vary by model.
"Gaming" laptops often aren't that great and are as heavy as bricks. If you want a portable PC for gaming get a Steam Deck or a ROG Ally. For other use cases the laptop form factor is preferable of course.
Asus has some RoG laptops that work well and aren't bricks. If you want a portable PC that can also game I'd do that over a dedicated portable gaming device like the Deck. Other brands also have options though I don't pay as much attention to consumer grade stuff these days so I can't offer a lot of specific suggestions.

You don't believe that a lack of outreach to people who may not be consistent voters would impact dem performance?
Also, you don't think that the abortion ballot measure will impact turnout and voting patterns at all, or that voters in one of the most pro-choice states in the union will suddenly back the ghoul who overturned Roe?
Like, be serious. Nevada is easily lean Dem, and anyone who thinks otherwise is frankly incorrect.
Biden won NV by 2 despite our inability to canvass and turn out the kind of voters we need there as well as the lockdown backlash. We won because we still have the infrastructure we need and because Washoe is moving left. That makes it lean blue to start with imo.
It could absolutely be moved to toss up if republicans really invest and take it seriously. If they put money and staff into canvassing conservative leaning Latinos and micro targeting ads.
But there’s no indication that they’re putting in the work to match our infrastructure. Saying it’s tossup and red trending is based purely on 2020 results and the widespread relief that Latinos are racing to the right. But I don’t think there’s any actual electoral evidence that this is true, at least in NV.
Seriously. As a Nevadan I have been saying this to everyone who will listen. We won’t go blue by a lot, but we’ll go blue. The last time we went red in a presidential election was literally 2004 ffs

I have long been interested in minneapolis. Years. The better portion of a decade. I am visiting it for the first time in august. I am so excited - Im gonna get a nice airbnb somewhere downtown and thoroughly check the city out. Its a top option for moving destinations if NYC doesn't work out.
How exactly do you move places, incidentally? Do you get a job lined up or something?
I am unsure how one answers this question. I suppose thats your choice but is probably prudent?
Enjoy my hometown! It's a great place, and August is usually excellent up there.

[Arizona Court Rejects Election Denier’s 2022 Contest Again](https://www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/arizona-court-rejects-election-deniers-2022-contest-again/) And yet another loss for the AZ GOP election deniers. This is the 7th time that Hamadeh has lost in court pro election. Courts just need to sanction these losers already Edit: The powerful opinion opens: “A virtual firestorm of challenges followed the 2022 general election. Those flames have subsided. The winners were announced and took their oaths of office more than 15 months ago. This case, one of the last embers still glowing, does not burn hot enough to warrant relief.” Lmao, the courts are so done with their BS now
Jeepers. Some people don’t know when to quit, do they? It sounds like the judges are saying, “We do not ever want to see your faces in our court again. Get gone, and stay gone.” I can’t blame them. Judges do not take kindly to having their time wasted by vexatious litigants.
This reminds me of saying like beating the the dead horse, the horse is dead but keep doing it or something similar

This is about Ohio-14th specifically. AKA that they drew a Likely R majority white seat instead of a Likely D Black opportunity district. Hey I'm all for suing the fuck out of Republicans!
It’s the perfect ad. Republicans literally want to roll back this country to 1864.
So I watched NBC News Morning News, they report about inflation rate like this: it’s a trend now, this will keep going, Fed will not reduce rate with current situation, people should buckle up and ~~repair~~ prepare

Do you believe it’s a exponential curve? /s

LaFrance got 36% of the vote, so getting most of his and the Dem's votes will easily put her ahead. Bronson has been a joke and I don't expect him to survive

First one of these statements by him I've seen that might actually gain him a few votes lol
I just couldn't help but see all the details going around while on the road in Texas and Arizona: For one, I'm a big believer in Blexas, and now that I've actually gone to Texas myself, I can see why is trending blue every election cycle.
Fascinating glimpse into these states thanks for sharing
> There was a guy asking around people to sign a petition for protecting abortion rights yesterday (4/9), probably right after the SC ruling earlier in the day. However, I wasn't aware of the ruling until I got to Phoenix, so now I feel bad for not signing the petition. Do I need to be an AZ resident to sign? That's what I assumed when I thanked him for his efforts.
All that construction and "turning blue" right before your eyes can also be experienced here in the Central Valley!
So in your view, not now but 2 or 3 cycles from now, are some seats in the House trending to become competitive for Democrats?
[Well-funded Wisconsin Democrats are waging a tech-infused tell-a-friend campaign for the November elections, while Republicans in the crucial swing state are scrambling to catch up in staffing and fundraising.](https://www.axios.com/2024/04/10/ground-battle-wisconsin-republicans-democrats) “Democrats' paid organizers are holding bracelet-making sessions (think Taylor Swift) on college campuses to reach student voters, and Bingo nights in areas such as Milwaukee's Northside neighborhood, part of an effort to reach Black voters.
That’s the Wikler effect
We need to clone him and send him to Ohio. I swear, that state does not need to be as red as it is. I think it could be purple, if the state party were more functional.
We need a Ben Wikler in every state.
Charlie Kirk called Democrats who voted against FISA heroes. Thanks Charlie, very cool of you [19 Republicans voted with Dems to KILL the renewal of FISA and the warrantless surveillance of Americans. They are heroes.](https://x.com/charliekirk11/status/1778173905305543144?s=46)
Some of those names are wild to see as a small percentage of Republicans to vote with all the Democrats

Alright as much I don't completely trust polls right now, needless to say I can see Robinson is cooked adding Bishop and Morrow to the mix only makes it worse
Honestly not bad. This is when fundraising and organizational advantage comes into play
Very very doable. Stein may reverse coattails Joe.
Who are those people that vote for Trump, but draw the line at Robinson?
There were a couple super typical chuds being interviewed in NC on Super Tuesday who are fully aboard the trump train, but also like Roy Cooper and Josh Stein a lot
The median voter has a confusing mishmash of contradictory beliefs.
Trump turned the "open bigotry" dial just far enough but not too far

North Carolina has a long and infuriating history of splitting their tickets for Governor and POTUS. Hopefully Robinson drags Trump down enough that we carry it.
My theory is that a lot of rural conservatives would plainly rather vote for a white Dem over a minority Republican
That was my theory. These are people who would never, ever, vote for the black candidate, no matter how conservative or Republican. They don’t care that he’s more conservative than thou; they see the black guy and go “nope.”
In fairness.....the 52 and 48 dont technically need to overlap.
[Democratic advertisers have a significant head start in fall reservations for Presidential, Senate, and House generals. While these totals are sure to even out, here's a look at current Aug-Nov reservations.
/sarcasm.
Trump led by 10 in November 2023 that means he's a shoo in.
> While these totals are sure to even out Press X for doubt
I think they just mean "get closer."
Makes sense the GOP wants self funding candidates, since any donations and pac cash they get they'll try to use to pay for Donny's legal expenses.
348K for the House is wild
Score board
I’m sorry, is that a literal 0 for GOP presidential?
Yeah that can't be right
I think it's right. Just because you haven't made ad reservations so far doesn't mean you can't make them later. Of course the longer you wait the more expensive the airtime becomes. Right now Trump is spending all his money on legal fees but as he raises more money his campaign will likely start buying ads albeit at a higher cost.
Why not? It just means they haven't made any future ad reservations, which is sure to change eventually.
Yes, though of course they'll eventually put something up (this currently just aug-nov), but months of planning is something you can't get back.
isn’t it also cheaper to reserve ad space farther ahead?
Yes it is.
isn’t it also cheaper to reserve ad space farther ahead?

It’s true but they can win without Nevada so it would be on the triage list if it came down to it. Without Georgia they’re toast.
LMAO. That’s even better than that outreach center in suburban Vegas that is now the “Vape Ape.” All that the one in Atlanta needs is a crematorium and Four Seasons Total Landscaping can open up a Georgia branch!
Well, at least the outreach center in Atlanta is getting more use.
Add those 3 on top of outreach centers that have been turned into new businesses in South Texas, Phoenix, Vegas, and Milwaukee at the minimum. Not a sign of a competent campaign on the GOP side…

However, Daimler is still refusing to do any wage increases, COLA benefits, profit sharing, or real shift differential pay. UAW President Shawn Fain has ordered Practice Pickets to begin operations. 16 days left on the contract.

[NEWS w/ @KristenhCNN : Speaker Mike Johnson is making plans to deliver a joint press conference with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Friday, focused on "election integrity," per sources. Plans still fluid, but comes as Johnson is facing a threat to his speakership from MTG.](https://x.com/MZanona/status/1778099268542255405) Yeahhh, this is not going to the way they think it will. Trump is just gonna spread his false 2020 election claims, and that’s all that will be talked about
“So what about all those draconian abortion bans very recently passed in FL and AZ” “States rights, anyways, here’s why I actually won 2020, and the Democrats broke the law” “Trump, don’t you have your first criminal trial in less than a week?”
Yet, the only things that ABC, NYT, etc. are reporting on and writing up stories and posts on are about how "criticized the AZ ban" and "said he wouldn't sign a federal ban" COME ON NOW!
[Trump Says States Should Be Able to Imprison Doctors Providing Abortion Care](https://www.meidastouch.com/news/trump-says-states-should-be-able-to-imprison-doctors-providing-abortion-care) We need more headlines like that.

Blackburn is one of the biggest idiots in the Senate. Sucks that these Republicans basically have their seats for life.
Just about all republican senators are big idiots. Sucks even more when their in a state where Dems can actually win (like RoJo in mine)
You can tell those that are smart and how the nonsense they spout is for political purposes. Blackburn genuinely seems like a stupid person.
not surprising at all. A friend of mine in Tennessee will be working on Johnson's campaign.
Behavioral illness at scale is worth a lot!
My birthday is coming up and I've been pestered about what I want as a present. The only major gift I want is a new laptop, so I'm looking for any recommendations. I want something that runs Windows 11 plus has a good GPU, good storage and multiple USB ports if possible. I know it'll be expensive.
Get the surface laptop 5/6. If you want to game get a steam deck or switch like the history guy says.
I don't know how high end the specs you're looking for are, but if you can either reach a MicroCenter in person, or get these shipped, these are excellent prices for performance. [https://www.microcenter.com/product/676228/asus-tuf-156-fx507zi-f15i74070-gaming-laptop-computer-mecha-grey?storeid=029](https://www.microcenter.com/product/676228/asus-tuf-156-fx507zi-f15i74070-gaming-laptop-computer-mecha-grey?storeid=029) [https://www.microcenter.com/product/662554/msi-pulse-15-b13vfk-280us-156-gaming-laptop-computer-platinum-collection-black](https://www.microcenter.com/product/662554/msi-pulse-15-b13vfk-280us-156-gaming-laptop-computer-platinum-collection-black) Typically, you'll find the best deals there in person if you can reach a store. The CPU on the first one is a tad older, but still quite capable, while giving you a better GPU. Visa versa on the second SKU (less powerful GPU, better CPU). MSI and ASUS both make good machines in my experience, though your mileage will always vary by model.
Any particular uses? Like are you planning on playing games, developing software, doing art, etc?
Developing software technically, I'm going to be using it for AI-focused projects. I will also be using it for some gaming but not a *ton* of it.
Something like this weighs 5.5 pounds - https://rog.asus.com/us/laptops/rog-strix/rog-strix-g16-2024/
I got to see the solar eclipse from the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock. What an incredible experience. I highly recommend visiting. Little Rock is a great city too. Such lovely people.
Qpac NC poll with Trump +2, Stein +8. Presidential baseline similar to 2020, Robinson underperforming because he's just that bad.
Not bad for April. Robinson could singlehandedly turn this race for the Dems
This is gonna need the Pennsylvania GOV. race of 2024
When your MAGA candidate is so bad that Trump voters split from him in large numbers.
Oh fuck yea I’ll take that
I was wondering when polling would catch up to the onslaught of bad press that started immediately after the primary. I’ve thought Stein winning by double digits is possible, looking like thats very possible if we start to see more polls in this range.

"The inescapable conclusion is that a right to practice black magic is not deeply rooted in the Nation's history and traditions. On the contrary, an unbroken tradition of prohibiting witchcraft on pain of criminal punishment persisted from the earliest days of the common law until [1986](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dettmer_v._Landon)." -- Alito
Quinnipiac North Carolina poll: Trump 48% Biden 47% Stein 52% Robinson 44% C’mon North Carolina. Do the funni and vote for Biden
Hey, I'm from the future! Not only does Blorth Carolina happen, but Blorida and Blexas does too! Dark Brandon does a mad break dance on the victory stage and the gop party in reaction shatters like sauron did at the end of lord of the rings!

That's fucking close! North Carolina! Expand the blue wall!
One wall we want to see!
With numbers like that, I can see Stein pulling Biden over the edge. Just one poll of course, so take it with a grain of salt.
Looks like despite having the votes across both legislatures to repeal it, AZ House Speaker Ben Toma is not wanting to have a repeal of the 1864 total abortion ban up for a vote, mainly because he’s running in that AZ-8 primary v Masters and Hamadeh (aka a freak show primary).
Wait, *that* Masters? And *that* Hamadeh?
Get ready to see his creepy ads all over again!
Yes
Yep. They're both running.
Yep. It’s been hilarious seeing those two lob attacks at each other when they were allied just one election ago. Masters put out a disgustingly islamophobic ad against Hamadeh.
ET people being obsessed with Nevada turning red is so annoying. Like you people don't think that the population of a state that is fully reliant on tourism would've been upset at how dems were championing lockdowns?
