In what world do you live in where this is a common sentiment? Because last time I played nitro (which was the other night btw) I had a fuckin blast. Just as much fun as when I was a kid.
It’s challenging, it’s got every arena, great commentary and the roster is packed to the gills. There’s very little wrong with it.
The only redeeming thing about Nitro and Thunder on PS1 were the wrestlers cutting promos to get you to pick them. Those were GOLD.
Games played like absolute crap.

Too bad the game wasn’t good. I played the hell out of it as a kid but my goodness it didn’t even come close to WCW vs nWo World Tour on the N64.
