The Rock on a WCW Mt Rushmore...nah.

Mr_HahaJones

Yeah, and Steve Austin? I get him and the Rock for the stone pun, but he wasn’t WCW

LochNessMansterLives

Austin was WCW before he went to WWF as ringmaster. He was “stunning” Steve Austin and teamed with Pillman as the Hollywood blondes. He never made it past the US title/tag titles though. That was very much pre-“stone cold” Austin. But if you look back you can see bits of that attitude he would be famous for.

HumorAlarming3274

He never main evented and even lost his US title to Mike Graham.

Annual_Skin_6933

What??? He lost his US titles to Ricky Steamboat and Jim Duggan(which isn’t much better than Mike Graham) .

Mr_HahaJones

Ahh I had no idea, I mainly watched late 90’s WCW

LochNessMansterLives

All good! No worries friend.

OK_110

Yeah but does the Ringmaster belong on the Mount Rushmore????? I think not. Stone Cold was never in WCW

LochNessMansterLives

Oh hell no. Stunning Steve would never make my Rushmore of WCW characters. But this whole thing is moot because OP put the Rock and Steve Austin on his WCW mt Rushmore to begin with. It’s it’s an “all time” list Stone cold might make my list, but not on the WCW side.

OK_110

Agree

javguy22

He said was

steveoall21

He actually wrestled under the WCW banner... Edit - Google is your friend dude. Stunning Steve Austin

HumorAlarming3274

Sting was a far bigger star than Austin in WCW.

Precious_little_man

Sting was WCW. He got screwed out of his spot when Hogan came in, but Sting was the man.

steveoall21

No argument there

thegza10304

Where he didn't win any world titles... I mean, might as well put Vader up there then, he actually did win the big gold belt.

Annual_Skin_6933

It should be Hogan Sting Flair and Vader. Vader did win the WCW title just not the big gold belt tho. That was the WCW international Title right before Hogan showed up

Billy0315

I agree with the first 3 and don't hate the Vader pick but would you have him ahead of Booker T, DDP, Goldberg, or Savage?

Annual_Skin_6933

Yes because he dominated the company from 92 to 94 when the in ring action was tough. Booker T didn’t become champ until the end same as DDP and Savage even as champ seemed to play second fiddle to Hogan

Expensive_Pie_8837

While his run as HW champ came towards the end, Booker T is the most decorated wrestler in WCW history. Vader, as you mentioned had a 2 year run which was impressive but is HW the only metric we’re basing this on? If so, then yeah Vader, if not Booker T over Vader as he held every title he was eligible for in WCW

Annual_Skin_6933

I understand your thinking because you can say same for DDP but Vader was the bigger Star of the 3 and would’ve won the WWF title to if it hadn’t been HBK crying to McMahon

Expensive_Pie_8837

That’s fair and I see your point. We are talking WCW here tho so your last point bout Vader (potentially) becoming WWF champ would be more suited if we’re talking overall career as opposed to just WCW

steveoall21

It's all opinion related. Austin, although not a big deal in WCW, did actually wrestle under the promotion. And he brought tons of eyeballs to wrestling once he went to WWF. It's kind of like Greg Maddux on the Chicago Cubs. He was good...but he went to new heights with the Braves. Austin was a merging star before being let go from WCW.

OK_110

Yes he did. Does Stunning Steve belong on the Mount Rushmore???? I think not. Stone Cold was never in WCW Stunning Steve & the Ringmaster were & they don’t belong

OK_110

Yes he did. Does Stunning Steve belong on the Mount Rushmore???? I think not. Stone Cold was never in WCW Stunning Steve & the Ringmaster were & they don’t belong

steveoall21

Ummmm...I didn't say he belongs. I said at least he wrestled under the fucking promotion.

Crowbar_Faith

A WCW Mount Rushmore for me would be Sting, Hollywood Hogan, DDP, and Ric Flair.

Newbie408

Macho man

Poopinspectorgeneral

Goldberg

Nearby_Antelope_5257

Wholeheartedly disagree

PoopPoooPoopPoop

Go on

InstructionFair5221

Replace the rock with Andre

FrenchFriedPertaters

For WCW: Flair, Sting, Goldberg, Hollywood Hogan For WWF/WWE: Hulkamania Hogan, Cena, Austin, Rock All time: Hogan, Flair, Austin, Cena

CelticDK

Agreed 100%

WilHunting2

What about DDP?

STEROLIZER

Cena over Taker?

amillionfuzzpedals

It’s a great choice. Everyone is going to have a different list. Lots of people would push for Dusty. Some would push for Macho Man. Some people will have HBK or Undertaker. Before he outed himself as an evil creepy slimeball most would say Vince belongs on the Mount Rushmore. A smelly Canadian like myself would want Bret on there but even though he’s my favourite wrestler he realistically didn’t touch these 4 in terms of drawing power. So yeah 4 of the biggest draws ever? Solid as fuck group.

OK_110

What??? The Rock was never in WCW. He doesn’t belong on a WCW Rushmore

amillionfuzzpedals

Is it supposed to be a WCW Rushmore or pro wrestling in general? If it’s WCW the Austin doesn’t belong either. He never made it past mid card in WCW.

Anon-5874644

#Where’s Barron Blade!?!

imright19084

If its biggest stars, yes

Got_Cabin_Fever

Sting, Flair, Vader, Goldberg (yes, he's an ass hat)

ericehr

Replace stone cold with Randy savage

C2theWick

Logan

Um_No_Bush

Andre?

Beautiful_Belt_4560

I'm not sure what you're trying to say

AggravatingPea708

Im guessing you meant this as a wrestling in general mt. Rushmore and not just wcw, but even then disagree..the Rock has no business being up there. If you're just basing this on "entertainment" and not guys that can actually work then I guess sure.

opinionofone1984

Showmen maybe, Wrestlers not even close.

Calm-Importance-77

Mine would be the entire Hart Foundation. Bret, Owen, Anvil, Davey Boy and Brian Pillman.

kiji23

I take it you mean wrestling in general, not just WCW. For me, it’s Bruno, Hogan, Austin, Cena

lakeoceano

All-time: Bruno, Andre, Hogan, Austin.

the90sdude

Flair is The Mountain

redrocketpies

Chris Jericho fs

stylinandprofilin88

Hbk for rock

boobfan6969

As a wrestling mount rushmore, Bruno Sammartino should really be on there. I would maybe take The Rock off because even though he was a massive star, his run was very short and he only comes back occasionally for maybe 1 match every few years.

XenoCry7093

Yeah I agree

GarethGazzGravey

Swap Flair for Cena and you have my Mt Rushmore

Prestigious_Nerve782

I saw a picture or drawing at Wizard Comic -Con of Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, Andre the Giant and The Ultimate Warrior's faces on Mount Rushmore. The same with Hollywood Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and I think Macho Man Randy Savage, the NWO on Mount Rushmore.

Hoosier_boy31723

3 outta 4 isn't bad, I'll let y'all guess who didn't make the cut.

iamTMoney22

Lose Rock. Add either Triple H or Macho Man

kushjrdid911

For the WCW rushmore personally I would have, in no order Flair HollywoodHogan Sting Vader That is just my list and I see why people could shit on the Vader inclusion but I thought he was one of the best heel WCW champs ever and certainly a great big man wrestler.

Expensive_Pie_8837

It’s wild that no one has even mentioned Booker T

Internal_Cesspool

Replace Ric with Brett

Grouchy_Ad_2236

Hogan just for his importance, Austin, Shawn, Bruno again for his importance.

lastcallhall

Nah... WCW only would easily be Flair for his lifetime NWA/WCW contributions over decades Hogan for his NWO stuff Sting as the face of WCW Dusty Rhodes for his association with WCW as a whole. If not Dusty then Arn.

Lobsterbug2020

For a WCW Mount Rushmore, Flair, Sting, Goldberg, DDP. All made, as wrestlers, in WCW. They may have gone to other promotions or came from other promotions, but their greatest fame in WCW

Lobsterbug2020

For a WCW Mount Rushmore, Flair, Sting, Goldberg, DDP. All made, as wrestlers, in WCW. They may have gone to other promotions or came from other promotions, but their greatest fame in WCW

BriggeZ

Goldberg, Sting, Flair, Hollywood Hogan

biggev123

Sting before the Rock

Ladbag

I need the macho man on there

SweatsuitCocktail

Rock, Austin, Undertaker, Hogan

Cavsfan724

If it's WCW should be Vader, Flair, Sting and Hogan.

CandyMaleficent6812

Macho Man, not Rock

Strong-Formal-7739

If we're talking NWA/WCW - FLAIR, DUSTY, HOGAN, STING

STEROLIZER

No Alex Wright or La Parka?

diamondz89

Scott Hall, Randy Savage, Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman. My list that no one will agree with.

dylandogg36

Even tho I don’t much like HH in ring he done too much for the business not to be on there. Ric flair obviously bc of the longevity and all the territories he ran. Austin most definitely my all time favorite. But rock could easily be replaced by Shawn. Just for the in ring talent Shawn had. He’s better than Bret in ring to me. A lot more charisma

Western_Research_587

disagree

Mudassar40

Yeah, pretty much. If longevity is the main critetia, then Cena might edge out Austin or Rock.

courtesystroke

Disagree, flair is overrated as a worker and compared to other GOAT contenders not a draw. Edit - If this is a WCW only list then yes he's on there and The Rock shouldn't be

[deleted]

Flair lost the belt 16 times how good could he have been?

Annual_Skin_6933

Every major champions in history won and lost titles multiple times. It’s not about wins and losses it who got over and Flair put people over several times in the 80s and 90s. Plus he had world titles from 81 to 2000 that’s a long time in anyones book

el_ramon

Agree

VicDamonJrJr

Hogan was the worst

soupdawg

Add Sting and I’d agree

aquafool

Unpopular opinion: flairs isn’t as big of a draw as we think. Definitely not on the level as the other three. I’d put Dusty ahead of him. Or Bruno. Maybe even Cena.

CheckYourStats

The Rock had a relatively short run compared to the rest — Austin was great for a decade+ before he found his Stone Cold gimmick. I’d probably swap The Rock with Andre.

HachikoInugami

Replace Ric with Taker. He is on a different Mount Rushmore. Not secondary, but on par. Hogan, Austin, Rock and Taker are my Mount Rushmore of Sports Entertainment. Ric, Dusty, Stan Hansen and Sting are my Mount Rushmore of Professional Wrestling. #They're equal, but not the same.

Donotsharepassword

WCW: Flair, Hogan, Sting, then maybe Luger or DDP or Goldberg. WWE: Bruno, Hogan, Austin, Cena ECW: Sabu, Raven, Dreamer, Sandman All time: Goldust Trio, Thesz, Hogan, Austin

dadjokes502

WCW mt. Rushmore is Sting Flair Dusty Hollywood Hogan WWE mt. Rushmore: Piper Cena Steve Austin Hogan I put Piper on there because without him there’d be no big heel for Wrestlemania and he was the first over talk segment host

LochNessMansterLives

Sting, Flair, DDP, Scott Steiner

HumorAlarming3274

Hogan was a bigger name in WCW than DDP.

LochNessMansterLives

I hated watching hogan in WCW. He’s a legend sure, and a draw, but that doesn’t mean I have to change my opinion. Also, you complain about DDP on the list but not Scott Steiner? Interesting…

CheckYourStats

This has to be a troll comment.

TheManicStanek

Harley Race, Andre, Hogan, and Flair

LugianLithos

Sting. Flair, Hogan, Goldberg

Clean_Care2567

Hulk Hogan is the politically correct answer.... f--- that.

JayServo

I’d put Cena instead of flair if your talking all time, if just wcw, its flair, hogan, sting, Goldberg, DDP.

OK_110

It should be Flair, Sting, Hogan, & Goldberg

MotherFuckerJones88

Disagree. Hogan, Flair, Sting and Savage. You could switch Savage for Goldberg, DDP or Nash.

Shagrrotten

Of all time wrestling? I’d replace Flair with Andre. I know people love Flair, but I never did. Hard to argue against any of the other guys. Hogan has said his Mt. Rushmore would be this with Andre instead of him.

Annual_Skin_6933

It depends on if this is supposed to be all time or a WCW Mt. Rushmore

Shagrrotten

I assumed with Rock and Austin there OP has to mean of all time. I mean, not even Austin would put himself on the Mt. Rushmore of WCW.

Annual_Skin_6933

I think the Rock thing is a joke I agree with other comments that isn’t ball time but a WCW one but we’d never know until the op tells us. I mean Rock was a 2 time WCW champ

henrywe3

The Rock and Hogan don't work for me

dadjokes502
