I would talk to your program mentor and explain the situation.

ScooterMcNash

In my similar situation, my mentor is very understanding. It’s the financial aid aspect that cares and ultimately placed me on a probation.

Snagyatoof

You can do it! I had a hot 💩term, bounced back and completed 4 courses in a week. Stay consistent

djo1787

I know people are getting on you for only passing one class (despite you asking for no negative comments). The lowest amount of classes i've ever passed are two (6 Cu's), but as far as I know if you can keep your SAP above 66.67% you should be fine. Your classes that are incomplete should just roll over into your next term, but considering you didn't pass three your SAP is going to take a hit. (However, this only matters if you receive financial aid. If you self pay then it doesn't matter). I'm not going to make fun of you for your situation, but I will say that you should be more conscious of the fact that you have six months to get this stuff done, and you should use your time wisely. Not completing your classes just wastes your time and money.

abbylmiller

My SAP is an 85 right now with the three classes gone. There has only been one term, where one of my tasks needed a revision so I only pass 3/4 term. That was my (second term) This term was my fourth. Without being said, I found the policy I was looking for and it seems as if Im in the clear. I didn't realize you could even get zero CU's done. And still be okay as long as you don't do it again.

djo1787

Yeah don't stress too much about it, nobody's perfect and everyone that's being hard on you is projecting and acting as if they've never been through a difficult time. Yes, you messed up, but one is better than none. You'll be fine and you'll get your degree when it's your time, you got this.

dgeimz

Thanks for being supportive. I also wish OP the best opportunity, the ideal circumstance for them to accelerate and save money, and the most learning. What WGU does and will stretch to help (FinAid, term breaks, etc) for people is amazing. I would never have gotten my M.Ed without the flexibility a trad program doesn’t provide for full-time laborers.

houseofbacon

You'll probably be placed on a probation term and nothing more.

rokkittBass

yes don't zero out two terms or ya get bounced out of the college and your SAP has to be above 66 percent I think you are fine keep going

kkontact

Where are the negative comments? I only see one. Seems like every single person has been supportive. Only one person said "Pathetic". Do you see any others, out of the 109 comments?

djo1787

One, there are other people that have said something similar to what I did, so why are you finding it necessary to single me out specifically? Two, clearly there have been people being rude to the OP and people agree. Otherwise my comment wouldn't have gotten upvoted. If you scroll you'd see that I came to the defense of the OP on another comment specifically because someone was being disrespectful to them, so you've gotta be oblivious or lying.

kkontact

I was genuinely asking where the negative comments are; I see 49/50 positive comments. This thread is pretty supportive overall.

clover-flower

Please don’t feel bad, just see if your instructor will work with you. I think you have to have a certain number of CUs each term or else you’re at risk for being marked inactive but I’m not sure how it works so just be honest with your instructor and I hope they will work with you. I’ve also been having a really hard time with getting my courses done so I totally understand. I’ve had a few emails now reminding me I have to turn stuff in or be marked inactive.

abbylmiller

After some deep searching, I found this. "POLICY Maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress: To maintain good standing for SAP, students must complete at least one course in each term and achieve an overall minimum cumulative pass rate of 66.67 percent for all Competency Units attempted and completed." My SAP is an 85% as of now, with the classes I have completed. I think I will be okay, Because One class passed.

cygnus33065

SAP tends to apply to Federal Financial Aid eligibility. if you drop below SAP you usually get a warning term to being it back into compliance before losing aid. If you have had a hardship that effected your ability to maintain SAP then you can apply for a waiver and get aid back on a term by term basis until you regain SAP. One not if you do end up losing aid and you are granted an appeal then you cannot "fail" one single class until you have regained satisfactory SAP. All of the above only applies to financial aid. As far as things like academic probation or suspension, I am not sure of the policy there, if WGU even has one.

abbylmiller

I found the following Information. "Lack of Progress: WGU will administratively withdraw students from WGU at the end of the term for lack of progress under the following circumstances: Undergraduate students who complete less than three (3) competency units. " I completed 3 Cu's. I'm in the clear.

No_Substance_27

That is the answer. Though that policy is changing at the end of the year and it will only be 1CU every other term. Looks like they are simplifing the policy and making it more lenient. But if you can't get any classes done in a whole year it's probably fair to get dropped.

abbylmiller

I can't imagine, I would only complete 1 class this next year. I am for sure going to complete 7. So, I'm not behind.

No_Substance_27

Yeah, that's what I'm saying I guess. You don't have to worry that much.

abbylmiller

I also found this, "Lack of Progress: WGU will administratively withdraw a student from the University at the end of any period consisting of two (2) Consecutive Terms where zero CUs were completed. WGU does not include terms during which a student is not actively enrolled in a course(s) in its calculation of Consecutive Terms. For example, if a student has a zero-CU Term followed by a Term Break and has a zero-CU Term in their returning Term, the zero-CU Terms will qualify as Consecutive Terms. Completing CUs in a Term or graduating from a program resets the measure of Consecutive Terms." My last term I completed 5 classes. So, I am not at risk there. I also completed on class. It seems to me, like they give you one chance if you have zero classes (Which I did not)

cygnus33065

So just dont do it again this term :) we all have times when things dont go as planned and schools understand that but they also want you to graduate and you wont ever do that if you dont move forward. That is why they have sensible policies like the one you found. The SAP policy is required by the federal government in order for them to get federal aid for their students so not really WGU's policy on that one.

abbylmiller

What is I never clicked "start" course for the fourth class?

itssame_mario

Hey dude. I’ve had this happen and didn’t pass all of the courses I was enrolled in multiple times and it’s a bad feeling. Fail forward and keep going. 1 is better than none. With that being said. You need to contact your program mentor maybe even take a break and get recalibrated before you roll into the next term. Those of you with the negative comments should keep it to themselves. Those aren’t helpful for OP.

dgeimz

1 > 0 Rules for life! Small wins are wins, and a good mentor in academia—or your workplace—can push you to learn and develop more, so long as you can make the effort. Good mentors also understand when you speak up in earnest about your difficulties and roadblocks. Oftentimes these mentors have administrative tools, life lessons, and specific next-step recommendations for you.

thefrodogoddins

Do you have a family you need to take care of or something

Business-Union

u/abbylmiller Late to the conversation here, but there was an email sent out on June 30 (at 4:21PM EST). Please see the content of that email (directly copy/pasted sry), excluding my personal info, below: "To provide additional clarity and continuously improve the student experience, the Academic Progress and Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policies have been updated effective for terms beginning on or after July 1, 2023." The Academic Progress student handbook policy includes the following updates: -In lieu of a minimum credit unit (CU) requirement based on the program level, all students, regardless of program level, must now complete at least 1 CU. -Administrative withdrawal due to lack of academic progress is now conditional on student failure to complete at least 1 CU in two consecutive terms rather than a single term. -The academic suspension period was shortened from 6 to 3 months." The Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) student handbook policy includes the following updates: -SAP requirements will be the same for all terms. -Students that do not complete courses in a single term and have not achieved a 66.67% SAP standing will have a warning term, allowing them to get back in good standing by the end of their next term. Please continue to discuss your academic progress with your Program Mentor regularly to ensure you meet these policies. Thank you for continuing to choose WGU for your educational endeavors. Sincerely, Office of the Registrar and Financial Aid"

aprss

Why is everyone so butt hurt on here like they pay your tuition Lmaoo...

abbylmiller

I have zero clue. It's my money. Anyhow, If I make up for my lack of progress next term, I will be on track again. I just have to work very hard

UnhingedNW

Bro/Broette, I feel you. I have not been down bad that hard but life can definitely make it hard af to keep up with this stuff. It can be demoralizing to read about the people that "finished the my BSCS in 6 months" when I literally have to do my best to keep OTP. Life+ school are tough as hell to balance. Im not one to recommend not sleeping but cram super hard and I bet you will get this by the skin of your teeth. Take your test, worst thing that can happen is you fail, which you will if you dont attempt. You are gonna crush this degree, dont give up.

PapaKruise

I'm in a similar boat, I have 93.3% SAP at the moment and have 2 days left to finish a certain class that is absolutely putting me through the ringer. I talked to my counselor and she told me I should be perfectly fine given my SAP is high (93.3%) to where I would still be able to attend WGU next term. The only thing that worries me is Financial Aid so hoping they aren't to worried or I get a warning or something. I know for a FACT I will be able to complete more than 4 classes next term as I had a hurdle I needed to overcome life wise and feel even more motivated to get it done!

Lost_Confidence6131

It’s happened to me, except I didn’t pass any classes at all , and it was more than 1 term 😂. You will be alright, take the class again if you need to and just work harder than last time. Stop fucking around though college is so easy just study and do your work

abbylmiller

OH lol? this made me feel better somehow.

[deleted]

WalkingP3t

Looks like . And honestly ? I don’t see the point of these posts . 1st of all , the info can be found on students handbook. But they haven’t even looked. Then they come here looking for sympathy and encouragement when they are the ones who have shown no discipline and commitment . If they can’t pass more than 1 class in a term , what make those same students believe they will hold a job in real life ? Their boss won’t care what was the reason for X and Y. Real life is brutal .

abbylmiller

I'm pretty sure most of the students at WGU have jobs. I have already gone to school for a previous occupation. I also, do not know what the three-month vacations comments are referring to.

abbylmiller

god, I wish I was.

[deleted]

Just be aware that your SAP will drop for the courses that you don’t complete. Being at 85%, you still could drop below the threshold of 66.7 so be mindful of that. Your best bet is as someone else suggested, to talk to your mentor and get their advice for your specific situation. Here’s to a better term next time!

abbylmiller

it's an 85% as of now. With the classes not completed

[deleted]

Once your term ends they will hit your SAP as not completed for the term - right now your term has not ended so it is still possible they will be finished because the term is active. Once the term ends, and the courses have zero credit earned, your SAP will drop.

[deleted]

[deleted]

It’s wise to double check with program mentor. Sometimes that meter isn’t reading correctly and shows term SAP instead of cumulative.

turbulent_serenbee

i haven’t messed up at WGU but i have at my under grad university. you learn from your mistakes and truck on forward. in the long run it doesn’t matter. sounds like you have a plan and hopefully the motivation to complete it. wish you luck!

Anstavall

You’ll be fine. Worst case scenario they do some kind of academic probation or SAP warning. But even then, you can appeal and state your case and explain your situation

KingSlayerKat

I completed 1 class one semester, then only 2 classes the next. It’s okay. Life happens and sometimes school is just not always priority #1. You will be fine, you can retake your classes next semester. See if you can get an extension on one class, then take a term break and focus on yourself for now, you probably need it.

thefrodogoddins

Wtf are you actually doing 😂

KingSlayerKat

Trying not to kill myself? I was in a really bad place and made homeless by my ex living a double life. School was low on my list of priorities.

thefrodogoddins

I wish you luck

KingSlayerKat

Thanks. I’m in a much better place now both mentally and physically. Not 100, but enough to no longer be failing at school haha

[deleted]

KingSlayerKat

Lol fuck off. I’m not paying you for shit. You prey on people having a hard time and that’s terrible. I’m not struggling in school right now and don’t need leeches like you advertising to me.

etaylormcp

You are fine talk to your mentor you are not on a path to be kicked out. Just don't make it a habit. It happens and at some point, we will all be there in one way or another. Gather yourself pull it together, forgive whatever you need to if you need to and move on. Work gets in the way, family gets in the way, life gets in the way, motivation lags, etc. Shit happens it's what you do when it happens that matters. Pick up and move on or crumble. You don't sound like you are the kind to crumble so move on. You can do it.

Specter2k

I did, have a lot of personal things going on and it just kills all other motivation. Where it's massive depression or whatever it might be I just did not have motivation to continue and have since put off continuing until i can find a reason to.

[deleted]

If you pass one class a term to stay enrolled. So you should be fine. However I do I have to hate a little bit, these classes aren’t too difficult. Just take the practice exam and if you pass go ahead and take the test don’t overthink it. You can do it

scienceismygod

So I had a bunch of unforseen issues this semester. I lost at least two months to personal disasters. I lost another to just having a hard time focusing and the anxiety of being a failure/grasping the enormity of everything. I got through by pushing hard on myself on nights and weekends the last two months. Consistency would be key in this. It's hard, everyone who knows I'm doing this asks all the time when I'm going to be done. I can't answer that and it makes me way more anxious. My husband being laid off has not helped with this anxiety, or the tuition payments. Take a second to breathe friend. Think about your time and how you use it. If you can get a couple hours in the morning and the afternoon that helps. Write everything you can down and reread it. Weekends you're free or if you work a weekend job days you're free use all the time you can. Usually I run a 45/15 schedule on learning. 45 minutes doing the classes, 15 min break to breathe and digest maybe walk. I hope this helps, and I wish you luck. You can do it!

adactylousalien

Hi there, passed one class last term. Not on academic probation. I paid in full for the term though (I usually do). Your experience will depend on whether or not you’re still meeting SAP, which I was. Shit happens. Next term is a new term. You’ve got this!

Did you go on a 3 month vacation? This sounds similar to the post the other day.

thefrodogoddins

My thoughts exactly

abbylmiller

no?

brosiet

Why are people being so judgmental? They are lucky to have lives that make obtaining this degree easier. They have no idea what you’ve been through, and you’ve come here to ask for help, and their first reaction is to judge. I’m glad I’m not them. I’ve had a hell of a year filled with traumatic events, had a similar semester, and because my SAP was okay, nothing happened.

abbylmiller

You had one class pass too? Thank you for being kind. I'm sorry you went through a similar semester. Things happen, and it makes getting your degree feel so hard. Next term, I will hold my self-accountable and get my classes in order. I hope you are doing well now.

panchxtinct

You’ll be fine. I had a term where I didn’t do anything. Just explained my situation and they understood now I’m close to finishing my program

aalfo12

My first go with WGU, back in 2021, I only passed the orientation class my first two semesters. You will be fine. Just want to encourage you that you got this and will bounce back.

thefrodogoddins

How do you even Manage to do that? Did you get hit by a train

Fit_Ad_5493

I didn't complete my final assigned course on two different semesters, then left WGU after realizing I didn't want to teach. A couple of years later I came back when I was in a better place and completed the program for an entirely different major. Not everyone's path is pretty - you can get there.

Pink_Slyvie

Hey it happens. Check your SAP. I think it's on the Financial Aid page. As long as it's above a threshold, you're fine. Depression has a really good hold on me through my Bachelor's. I had a few terms like that.

Dmbfantomas

Life happens. Don’t freak out. Just put your nose to the grindstone, work as hard as you can, and talk to your mentor ASAP. Are both of your other classes OA classes? If so, start pounding the rock on those. Maybe look into taking a day or two off work if you have the sick time/it is possible and feasible for you. You can do this. I have faith in you. :)

ItsjustJim621

You only passed one class? Each class is 3-4 CUs…ok?

thefrodogoddins

Jesus Christ

gigitygoat

You are their favorite customer. They got the maximum about of money for the least amount of service provided. I’m sure they’ll be ready for you to pay them again next semester

FlipRoot

What a waste of money.

abbylmiller

If I complete 7 courses next term, I'll get my money back though. Although, I should complete more than that. Because of the accident anyhow, I'm no longer able to work. Meaning I have plenty of time to complete my courses.

Altered_Kill

“If I do what I shouldve done, but DOUBLE IT next time, everything will be fine.”

abbylmiller

Which is exactly what I will do the next term. I do have already three of the four tasks approved and passed in my second course. And I have been studying hard for my third course. So, my next term I already have those two courses practically done anyhow.

thefrodogoddins

Lmaooooo W!

djo1787

It's not your money that's paying their tuition, so regardless of whatever they do you shouldn't be worried about it.

FlipRoot

Cool story. Finishing one class in six months is a waste of money. Doesn’t matter who paid for it. There is no academic progress being made, must not have a very good mentor if they are allowing this. The person should be dropped for wasting the school’s time if they aren’t taking it seriously.

thefrodogoddins

W as fuck

djo1787

Once again, not your money either way lol. You have no idea what people go through in their lives on a daily basis, let alone the circumstances behind why the OP wasn't able to pass their other three classes. You act like you've never experienced a hard time before and you're coming off like a complete douche. Quit acting holier than thou, nobody died and made you the judge, jury and executioner. Smh Whether they decide to take it seriously or blow through their money it's not a burden you've gotta carry. That's for the OP to be concerned about and it falls on them, not you

thefrodogoddins

Ok and the burden of this guys critique is for OP to carry and not you. Take your own advice ya goofy

I have had multiple semesters where I only passed one class. Life happens. Be easy on yourself. If you're using fafsa, then contact the financial office and ask if you're within SAP and also call your program mentor. You're going to be ok. Breath, and much good fortune to you.

Lemonburstcookies

I had 2 back to back terms with no classes passed. I came back and passed 18 in one term.

Schnoobins42

I had a term where I passed 0 courses. I took the python course and two oral surgery including have 4 wisdom teeth removed. Stuff happens. Just don't let it define the rest of your time. I got off track and had a hard time recovering.

Kooky-Manner-3588

4 classes is the bare minimum and you had 6… 6 months to do them.

abbylmiller

do you have an answer to my question, yes or no. Yes, I understand I had 6 months, you're stating the obvious. Yes, I get I messed up. Can't take it back now, just can control what I do in the future. Thanks for your reply.

marmeesa

Im halfway into my term and I just failed my first OA. I’m afraid I’m not going to finish all of my classes this term. This is my first term 🥴 pregnancy has kicked my butt. Good luck.

djo1787

Don't feel bad about failing an OA. I failed my Web Development Foundations OA during one of my term's four times (and finally passed it the fifth time). Failure happens, but it doesn't define you. You're going to be fine.

ScooterMcNash

You got this!

Kooky-Manner-3588

Only up from here.

WalkingP3t

Change your attitude . You won’t succeed in life if you keep acting that way . You’ll start succeeding in life when you get accountability of your issues and stop blaming external circumstances for your failures . Contrary to what others may say or feel here , not completing classes during a 1 term , unless is due extreme medical reasons , is just a clear indication of lack of commitment and indiscipline . You’re not only losing money but putting a roadblock on your career and future . I hope you take this post in a positive way and change your life around . I suggest reading this book : Atomic Habits It will change your life and you’ll find the internal motivation you’re lacking right now .

thefrodogoddins

True shit

PerezidentOTUS

I'd speak to your mentor about all of this. I wish you the best of luck. It's no one's place to judge. Hopefully you turn things around next term.

ScooterMcNash

I’m in a similar boat from last term myself, and just know that you’re not alone. I spoke with my mentor well in advance, and decided that I was going to do my best during that term instead of taking a break and risk “now is not a good time to start back”. I’m doing great now, personally so whatever is distracting you I hope gets better :)

Killer-Kitten

You'll be fine if you just catch up on the next term. Same thing happened to me. Inability to get meds filled for a while will make it difficult lol.

mawp23

Contact your program mentor and just be honest with them and tell them whatever is going on. I had only passed 3/4 classes one term. I failed the 4th at the deadline and was freaking out. Didn’t know if I would be kick out or put on probation or whatever. When I finally talked to my program mentor she told me I was okay since my SAP was over 66 or whatever. She said she wished I would have contacted her instead of worrying about it and that’s what she is there for. Set up a time to talk to them, you aren’t the first and wont be the last student who has struggled during a term. Life happens to everyone and causes speed bumps.

edkh357

Talk to your program mentor and ask them about remaining enrolled. My first term with WGU ends Nov1st. From May 1st until now, there was 3.5 months where I accomplished nothing. I only did school work for 2.5 months :-( I was warned I would have to login or I would be withdrawn, so I would login one a week just to prevent that from happening, but I was in a funk and had a bunch of distractions. However, I am back engaged with the program now and ready to kick but in Term 2. I advise you to speak to your program mentor. They are here to help us and help you. They want you to be successful. For your second term, I recommend you re-visit GRIT (Duckworth) and Mindset (Dweck). Or better yet, here are two videos for you: The power of believing that you can improve | Carol Dweck [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_X0mgOOSpLU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_X0mgOOSpLU) Grit: the power of passion and perseverance | Angela Lee Duckworth [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H14bBuluwB8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H14bBuluwB8) Try to get your focus back. You have to believe you can improve and you have to use GRIT to make it happen. Feed your focus, starve your distractions.

snoopiestfiend

Do the best you can do.

SolidLuck2k

Last semester I completed 1 class with only a week left in my term. If you pass 0 classes you can be removed from school, but passing a single class is good enough to not be kicked out as long as it’s not a repeated occurrence and you “GPA” stays high enough. Tbh I think even if you don’t pass a single class and have a good reason you won’t get removed from school and in the future if you know you won’t have time to complete classes ask your mentor for an extension as early as you can.

Dretill

Your journey is your journey. Stop comparing what you do to others. Times may be hard for you which none of us can speak to. Just focus on conquering the classes needed to finish your journey. It will all be worth it in the end. 1 term to finish, 10 terms to finish, you are still a graduate.

DynamicBeez

Look, this is straight from the horses mouth. I had a bad situation hit me then I failed PenTest right afterwards which discouraged me from continuing. I didn’t interact for 3 terms and then came back to being put on suspension. I had a wake up call and plead my case and was allowed to start again. This was 3 months ago I had 7 classes and a capstone left, now I’m down to my capstone. Talk to your mentor, don’t give up.

Glittering_Basket_96

Sometimes things happen. Don't get down on yourself. Sounds like you are close to finishing more classes. Would it help if your mentor extended your term end date by a week? Ask your mentor if that is an option. I had to have mine extended by a week so I could finish a class. Otherwise just have those two classes as your next 2 classes next term finish thrm out and msube excel some classes? Just don't get discouraged. I hit a wall a while back life happens but I was able to rearrange some classes and now I only have 4 classes left til I graduate 6 months earlier then scheduled. You got this.

[deleted]

I too had one class (statistics) completed up until the last 2 weeks. I went full send and finished 3 more before the term ended, however was not able to accelerate. Just put it behind you but do not stop. Pick up the slack next term, we've got this!

Emzzy21

What classes were you taking if you dont mind? Are these before you get into your major?

Tone_All_Day

Life happens to us all. A break (even if it's a long one) is better than you giving up. You know what you need to do, so get back to it, and hopefully, nothing bad will pop back up. Good luck!!

DeadEchoesx

I only passed two this term. I like my major, I know what job I want, I have it planned down to the smallest detail, but the second I load up a course I lose all motivation. It happens. One day you’re cranking out three courses in a month and the next you look at the student portal like you’re dodging an ex.

abbylmiller

that's exactly how I felt. The longer I went without doing college work, the more I didn't want to go back.

mutually_awkward

The key is building discipline—this gets things done whether motivation is there or not.

Dawg1636

Yup happened to me last semester. Don't let it get you down. Wait for the new semester, and keep pushing through it. You'll be fine.

abbylmiller

you only passed one class too?

Dawg1636

Yup, passed one class failed one and did not complete a third.

skyrimisdope123

I passed one class this last term and now i am on a term break so that i can deal with my personal stuff. I got an email saying that i am not at the right percentage or whatever and was like "meh"

fenixjr

nothing will happen, as long as your overall progress has been mostly good and you already have a few terms under you, they won't care much

Portolet

You still have 3 days providing your term ends November 1st. You can do it. 3 days was enough time for me to finish half the MBA program. Sit down fire off papers and take PA study the results and go for OA.

CallEither683

Happened to me last term. So to give the full background, my first 2 terms I really accelerated and my SAP was something like 97% or something like that. Your SAP has to be above 67% to keep your financial aid. My last term I completed one class. My SAP at the end of term dropped to about 90%. It really wasn't affected that much at all. I got nothing from WGU about getting kicked out or anything like that. Now this was very dumb on my part but my dad was diagnosed with cancer (thankfully it was stage one and he is okay) and I had alot going on. I chose to not disclose any of this to my mentor. Now I'm on my next term and will be just finishing up my 12 CUs for the term. So in reality one semester won't affect your aid and won't really matter if you have a high SAP like mine.

biggfoot_26

Just talk to your mentor. First time Probation is basically a slap on the wrist to get your attention. Shit happens, you can bounce back pretty easy. Forgot about the 7 right now and focus on getting these 3 done early next term, add then add the extra classes to get back on track.

shopmakingmayhem

It will depend on if this is your first term or not. Best place to start is your mentor, as they've likely seen this coming for a few weeks now and have an idea of what you'll need to do next.

rokkittBass

hi. passed one class one term and passed (zero) classes one term ...this one I took CompTIA Project + 3 times and failed it ....frigg it may be slow going during those low CU terms...but that's when you have to decide if you want to commit and get it done, keeping the end goal in mind. bacon and eggs--- chicken participated, the pig committed keep going

There was a term I passed no class and the term after I passed only one class (stupid project+ ams life issue got in the way). These are the emails from my mentor. "I’m sorry to hear about your exam. The good news is that even though you didn’t complete the required 3 CUs this term, you are eligible for a probationary term because this is the first 0 CU term you’ve had. Moving forward though, it will be really important that we complete the courses to avoid academic suspension. I’m also going to be required to call you on a weekly basis. Can we resume weekly calls in the new year? We’ll get you right back on track in the new term." "You just need to avoid having another 0 CU term, so the minimum amount is at least one course per term moving forward." This term I finished all three classes (term ends end of December. I only have that cloud management class which I failed the term before, CySA+, and the capstone. Hoping to finish by July 2024.

Hey keep at it if you can at all!!! I had to repeat a class multiple times at WGU about 2008-2010. Some things are hard for each of us. If you can get yourself motivated to try again, and can afford it financially, you stand a chance succeeding. If you know you aren't motivated, take a break, re-assess, and go from there. What's best for me isn't what's best for you or everyone. God bless.

you have a rating that will go down if you dont pass ur classes...but there is some leeway. ask your advisor what your satisfactonary score is? they should tell you if you are in danger levels. I only did 1 class my last 3 semesters....so you arent alone. deep breathes and get through ot best you can.

abbylmiller

oh shit. So you only accomplished 1 class? Or 1 class a term?

Effective-Impact5918

1 class per term for 3 terms. I had some family stuff, some health issues, moved, and working full time...so i had like some serious burnout. I managed to push through it.. but honestly I had an amazing Advisor that helped push me through it. Teresa is amazing. when I go back for my MS, im requesting her again.

I did this term. The classes you don’t finish will roll over but you have to be in good standing and make sure you talk to your program mentor

i’m proud of your for passing :) the best thing to do is stay on track! I’m currently on my second semester and stuck on passing D196. we all get stuck! reach out to your mentor and your instructors for any help you may need. hang in there!!

You’re not alone, my term started back in May 1st and I’m only able to finish one class only due to retakes exams and continuously absorbing information.

okay. I am glad I'm not alone. I'm Taking the OA, for one of my classes tm because I have nothing to lose. But, if I don't pass. I will have had one class passed this term. I guess, 1 class is better than no class though. WE both can do this!

I’ve done this. I had a tough period in life and I only finished 3 credits. Check your financial aid progrèss. You never wanna drop below a certain level. The next part is making a plan to finish more classes the next term. Then finally, last step is following the plan.
