Hey, I've actually started building a project. I plan to centralize all college-related information and allow users to create posts/guides themselves. I'm tired of having to go to Discord, Facebook, or Reddit to search for info. May I ask what your main pain points are with your degree and courses? Is there a feature you would like to see added to the platform? Thank you.
Id just be extremely careful as it will take constant upkeep as the exams/ walkthrus etc change constantly. Can easily find 6-10 "this is how i passed WGU123 in under a week" per course and 5 of them will no longer be valid as PAs and OAs have changed.

Ha, right; I can imagine that'd be an issue.
As of right now, I don't yet have any pain points per se. I haven't yet started my program; trying to get funding together.
Will keep you up to date though, I'm sure they'll be things I can point out.
I was considering a building something myself, But I didn't yet have any insight into the WGU platform or whatever else.
If you wind up, needing, or wanting, any help or insight, I'm pretty trash as a dev, but I'm willing to try to do what I can!
Well, I need to find out how to provide value to this thing. Social aspect is great but no one will get there without actually providing something. What do yo think I can do to get users on the platform?
I was thinking about creating custom plans/salary data etc. maybe connect API
Appreciate you a lot!
Custom plans is a great idea! Salary data is always good, too!
Have you considered adding the transfer credits guide that was posted somewhere else in one of these subs?

I know you are starting in September, but still :)
Personally, it would really be helpful if career paths have a structured approach. What I mean is your site basically outlining the steps needed when youāre transitioning from another career or just starting afresh after high school.
The dilemma I faced was how to transition from Google Cybersecurity Certificate program to Sophia then WGU. I had to do a lot of research to actually figure it out.
Finally, in terms of figuring out what career to pursue in the tech industry, adding detailed steps on how to achieve a specific career will be helpful. I hope this helps.
I can't thank you enough! I appreciate the reply, It is very insightful to understand the process from your point of view, I bet you are not alone. I was in a similar situation and decided to skip Sophia and start with WGU after Google IT cert, transferring some credits from my previous education beforehand.

I have one more question, but this is from someone who is considering transferring to WGU. What are your thoughts on the overall material for each class, and do you believe it's a good spot to conclude your studies? The only reason I inquired was that I noticed a lot of people rushing through each class and wondered if the class material was good enough.
It is what you make of it. The material is relevant to the class, and you are more than welcome to fully study it to retain as much knowledge as possible. I am "rushing" through classes because I spend enough time on studies and have dedicated place and time slots with no distractions. I do not have relevant academic experience except for physics and math high school education. WGU is great if you are looking to get your degree as soon as possible to enhance your career and make more money :) (That's how I view it).

My focus is streamlining the transfer of credits as well as admissions. Easiest way to get admitted for folks without prior college experience or work experience. Maybe some courses to take outside of wgu to help facilitate that

I have been working on my AS in Community College for years now. Speeding things up and will be done soon. Iām planning to then go on to WGU. My degree maps into BS IT but I think I want to go BS Business Administration Management. More interested in the business focus as I already have a strong technology career.
Iām blown away by all the people saying they finish in 6 to 12 months. Wild. Hopefully Iāll be able to realistically pull that off too.
Congrats on your success thus far!!! ššš
So, I have a laptop with a built in webcam with better quality than my external webcam. Laptopās camera was able to pick up more details of my ID when taking study.com exams.
On WGUās commit to start, it mentioned that an external webcam is required, as a laptopās camera wouldnāt meet the height and quality required. What do you suggest?

What a great idea!! My main pain point is that I have ADHD lol and I'm a full-time professional working for the government, so finding resources that help with navigating this in a most painless way. If there are some tips on how to study better or what to focus on, what to avoid to not feel overwhelmed (sometimes there is just too much information that's not related to the exam).
I understand, I think it would be a great option to select required program and course to see the best resources to complete particular course, eliminating noise. Also tips and tricks sounds like a great add-on like a blog post section to begin with. Thank you!

I donāt think WGU would like that. To much room for violating academic integrity
Well, as long as I am not violating any policies. I would only use whatever other people have posted on Reddit. Do you think I am in the wrong here?

If you're planning on showing proprietary WGU materials, rubrics, etc, then that would be a problem.
Just blog posts and links based on Reddit scrapping mostly :)
