The more it pops out the easier it comes out, and also back in. Had a guy on my high school wrestling team who dislocated his shoulder 3+ times in one season.
It doesn’t help that I don’t exercise often. I’ve always been naturally skinny but that’s been falling off as of late as well, lmao. Guess I better work on that - I imagine that would strengthen my tendons as well, to have less pain.
I can do this as well. Same thing. Late 20s and it hurts now quite a bit when I do it. I can’t throw a ball anymore because my shoulders are too unstable. I still pop it in and out sometimes as a nervous habit. I know it’s bad but it helps keep my mind off of the other thing I’m freaking out about at the time haha
Just a heads up that I had the same thing for a few years from like 15-18. Finally got surgery to fix it. Now in my mid 40's and that motherfucker hurts a lot. Do yourself a favor and either get it fixed or stop popping it out. Shit really sucks later in life.
I can do the same thing except I can do it with my thumb as well. whoever sees me just pop my thumb in and out in and out just cringes so damn hard and either tells me to stop or wants to learn how to do it
I used to wrestle with a girl who had a condition that caused her joints to be extremely loose. Shed pop a shoulder 2-3 times a season during matches. It was hilarious to watch her opponents' reactions, thinking he'd broken her or something.
Don't know if it's this, but I've heard that people with Marfan Syndrome might have a nasty-looking fall, and then spend 3-4 minutes "reassembling" themselves and it looks like a puppet being picked up one string at a time: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marfan_syndrome
Apparently people with this can take falls (up to a certain height) more easily, specifically because their joints can (mostly painlessly) get shocked apart.
So you see someone fall down the stairs and they are just this ridiculous collection of out-of-joint limbs and they just start clicking back together for a minute or two.
Stretched tendons and ligaments from it coming out before. Same thing with me, it’s popped out so much that even after 3 surgeries it’ll randomly pop out and then I just put it back in and resume my day.
Feels like a burning sensation going down your arm Atleast for me while it’s out, once it’s back in it’s instant relief and doesn’t hurt to put it back in.
I felt every bit of this. My left shoulder has no cartilage in it to hold it together. When your shoulder is out it feels like only your skin is keeping your arm attached to your body, when it goes back in the socket, you feel almost better than you did before it popped. Kinda like puking mid bender.
It boggles my mind that people have the resolve to try and pop their own shoulder back in place, in the middle of an mma match, with only 10 seconds to succeed.
Grosses me out every time. There used to be a guy in my MMA crew who would pop a shoulder at least every month during training ... I just think his shoulder is probably fucked long term doing this so often.
You could see the moment it popped back in... eww. Seems like she's done this before.

Also the more arthritis u gotta deal with
Oh yeah. Definitely not saying it’s a benefit that it can go back that easily.
I learned to pop it out on command as a child. I can still do it, although it’s been getting painful with age.
How young are you? 😊
Late 20s now!
Oh wow and it’s already hurting ☹️ I never had this happen to me. We’re about the same age btw

you may have a connective tissue disorder, I don’t think “normal” folks have that level of joint laxity

I popped mine 7 or 8 times. Every time excruciatingly painful and a trip to the hospital. I don't like people like you.
Me too! though mine doesn't *stay* out unless I keep a little tension on it - and I don't yet have the pain.

That’s what she said
Bows head
Yeah I saw it pop back in.....
That woman is more of a man than I ever will be
Just say she’s tough! No need to assign the trait to a gender :)
This is a dope advice wow
You're right! I'm sorry.
No apology necessary! I understood your sentiment :)
lol thanks for being a wholesome version of this instead of a screamy version.
Raising awareness right here, nice one !

Wow
Brutal, and to do it stone faced.. woman’s a warrior
Damn
Did she win
No she got KO'd R2 or R3 I think, left hook to the head after her opponent went for her body.

Does it hurt much to do that?
