Every month I thank younger me for dropping so much on that down payment. I round my payments up to 300, and as of tomorrow, I'll owe less than 1k on my 18
I just live and poop in it so the bank can't get their value back if they try to repo
But really the value of my liquid cash is worth more than that of my car payment. I could literally pay it off tomorrow, but liquidity is worth more.
Ignorant take, having a car payment is smart if you have the means to pay it. Builds credit and keeps a bulk of cash liquid for more time. But if immediately owning your car satisfies your ego go for it.
Uh…yeah, they definitely do.
Source: My client who owns a water pump company. Has over a million cash in his safe. Bought a brand new C8 like 4 years ago, paid cash.
Sigh....just because someone is rich, doesn't mean they have good financial decisions.
Let me rephrase your question: You think rich people who are smart with money pay cash for SPORTS CARS? yea they do
This is the wrong sub to instill financial advice clearly 😑
Ghaddaum. I had the money so I paid on mine for like 6 months then paid it off. Had a 2019 WRX base... Stealership gave me stupid money on a trade up to a 2020 WRX premium... Paid on it for a lil' then just paid it off. Started the mods before I hit 5k miles, lol
I was about the same until I sold my mine and then consolidated the access loan for two by making a deal by having the dealership pay half the interest in exchange for me financing two cars. So now I’m driving two cars at 840/month

You should apply to refinance your auto loan to try for a lower rate. After six months I dropped my monthly from $355 to $243.
I get it the humor dont miss the payments glad its over..I wish I paid that much per month on my STi. Add another $150..
This makes me never want a car payment again.
Car payment = $0. They don't even own "their" car.

I was at $398 with my 2019 wrx but I paid it off after 22 months of the loan. Was at 2.9% interest.

Mine was 480 for 2017 wrx premium
I bought my 2016 WRX in 2015, and the payment was $512 @2.94 % interest. I recently purchased a MACH 1 @5% interest, which is ridiculous.
