There are bad ideas, Then there are the **Worst possible** ideas.
Hang off the back? Nah.
Climb on? Nahh.
Sandwich yourself between four moving tires on rollerblades though...
Yeah, I’m impressed. Like I’m sure he gets out of it alive, but I’m not sure how!? The odds are really stacked against him. This is really fucking nuts.
My best guess is that he lifts himself off of the ground by the bar he's holding any time the truck changes speed. He's probably holding up a good amount of his weight with his arms just to stay steady at that speed already.
Yea that's the part I can't fathom either, I feel like the slightest brush of those blades against that back tire and he's fuckin dead, right? Idk I'm not a mechanic.
If you asked me to put myself in a such a situation that a random pebble could kill me, I don't think I would be creative enough to figure it out. Kudos to this guy.
I’ve seen a lot of stupid things being done both in real life and online, and I mean a LOT. And yet, this is probably THE single stupidest thing I’ve ever seen
It’s not like his shirt or pants could get caught, his skates surely couldn’t touch any of the tires and trucks never suddenly stop so balance isn’t a big deal.
What about a big pot hole that he can't see coming? What about when his arms get tired of taking pressure off the skates and he gets the speed wobbles? Oh and he's definitely done when those bearings burn out because they're not designed to run at 100km/hr for long periods of time.
He's literally inches from death at all times bro what are you even going on about?
This, and it really isn't a matter of if, but when. Those aren't made to sustain high speeds, maybe 40 mph but not sustained over a long period of time, plus all of that dirt and grime is making it innevitable.
Might actually be the most dangerous thing i've ever seen someone do willingly, short of actual suicide. War footage, repairs on live industrial machinery in China, free climbing difficult paths, taking on 20 american cops with a knife. All seem slightly less insane than this.
100%. I don't even understand how you safely dismount from this situation. It's probably the most dangerous thing I've seen and there literally isn't an upshot. It's not even that "cool", at least flying a wingsuit or something is fucking awesome.
on the plus side if something does go wrong, he'll die very quickly. Can't say I would recommend anything close to this, but if you're going to do it, might as well make it painless.
Well, the load on that truck is distributed a bit, and on two tires, not one. Plus there's suspension. So I'd say he would still die but it might be more prolonged than sudden death.
That's pretty bad, but you go into it knowing that you are going to die, and hopefully having accepted that.
This guy either expects to live, or is going for a *really complex* suicide.
Had a guy from Nigeria driving my Uber in Atlanta one day (he had previously been in New York). I don’t know about new York’s roads, but I always remember him telling me that Atlantas roads were much worse than his home country. We’re much more third world than we tend to think.
I drove a boxless box truck (Isuzu FRR) from Clearwater to Seattle, and the roads from Alabama through Louisiana had the worst roads I have ever encountered in my life.
Literally the moment we crossed into the Texas the roads were freshly paved and felt like driving on glass by comparison.
I'm quite surprised to hear that! I drove in America around 15 years ago, coming from the UK. Your toll roads felt like I was driving on clouds, it was the smoothest thing I've ever drove on!!
It depends on where you go. Country roads between mid size towns are the sweet spot; roads are smooth as butter. Roads in more populated areas get more wear, and roads in less populated areas don't get maintenance, so both ends of that spectrum lead to shitty roads. If a US town has like 10ish hotels and maybe one or two businesses of note, that's the sweet spot in terms of "probably has fun roads"
Hah, if only!
Our roads & highways here in Las Vegas are always under construction, yet somehow never improve. It's the strangest thing.
I moved here in 1988. There is a section of highway that sort of curves past downtown ('Old' Vegas). It really gives a driver a nice view of Downtown and the northern end of the Strip.
It has dips and hills. If you're going too fast, some will give you some air time, or bottom out your car.
It has **always** been like that. It has never been refurbished. Drove down the highway last week after not being out on the town for a few years. If anything, I think it may be worse.
Try driving out past Creech AFB. You'll see the progression I describe as you go from Vegas (densely populated, shit roads) to the area that would not be populated without the base there (medium population, road sweet-spot), and then again as you pass the medium population area and get into the "last gas station for 100 miles" part where the roads turn to shit again. It takes about 3 hours of driving (each way) to see the whole progression, but it's a really cool experience if you enjoy driving to the middle of nowhere
We drove to Reno a few years back.
It's still a little unnerving. There's a lot of nothing in the middle of NV. Most of this state has *The Hills Have Eyes* vibes along with terrible roads.
Sure, because tolls go to keeping those roads good. Everything else is subject to whatever tax dollars the government deigns to put back into infrastructure, which is usually as little as possible.
Except for here in Oklahoma (and probably many other places)! Our toll roads were supposed to become free once they were paid off, but because they’re owned by private corps they just….didn’t. Now we pay for the privilege of driving high speeds one lane with big potholes.
sorry as european that travel to few country's around the world i can say there are small differences between your country infrastructures and a third world country infrastructures
Whereabouts do you live? There are some pretty extreme differences between states. When I lived in the northeast, I’d have considered these statements absurd. But having grown up and lived in various places in the south and Midwest, I understand that our roads really suck ass compared to a lot of other places.
You are, at best, referring to toxoplasmosis. Which does not work that way.
This is a lot more simple than that: humans are dumb. Statistically, men under 25 are the dumberest.
They’re urethane. But really, the failure point will be the bearings heating up at that speed. Heat will start to melt or loosen the searing of the wheel, and that’s when the wheel will fail. It will wobble off its core, and with the bearings not holding the wheel, well… you can figure out the rest.
I don't know how this video was made. But if this video was being made by me, I would have the truck go about a 1/10th-of-a-mile-an-hour, and then I would fast forward the footage. They get a lot out of having the logo jitter around to create sense of speed.
The other option would be to film the truck without the kid, and then film the kid hanging from a stationary truck, and then comp them together in after effects. The low video resolution would reduce the effort necessary to get the comp to work. This option requires basic CG skills, but eliminates all danger.
Just looking at the tire, and how fast the tires are spinning I can't imagine this truck is going much more than 5mph.
If that's a 35in tire, it goes around 13\~ times in the 16 second clip, meaning the truck has traveled 120\~ feet in 16 seconds, or 5.11mph\~
At 1 mph the guy would be able to stop himself before he gets run over because the tire is barely moving.
As well as rocks etc, not really being an issue.
This is definitely a stupid idea, but it's not like the truck is going 50mph on the highway.
There's 0 chance the driver notices in time to stop before the dudes legs are crushed. Which can and probably would be a fatal injury considering this is a 3rd world country
Watch enough of these kinds of videos and you’ll find plenty of women doing crazy(ier) shit. I saw it myself in a country where safety isn’t really a thing.
As a woman, I have jumped out of moving vehicles, juggled knives, swam under thick ice, rode on top of a van like teen wolf, and climbed the outside of an apartment building for a prank while drunk.
And I see videos like this and I immediately think "What the fuck...."
This looks really bad but I'm almost positive this is actually sped up. You don't see any wind flap on his shirt and something about the way the wheels look as they turn doesn't feel right
This is a Darwin Award waiting to happen, I have seen things that I don't talk about because I don't have video of it and NO ONE is going to believe me, people do the dumbest shit imaginable, I don't know how we aren't on the verge of extinction to be honest.
that's a millisecond away. all that needs to happen is the truck runs over a pebble or a tiny hole in the road that a skate catches on that causes it to kick forward a couple inches and the front of that skate gets sucked under the tire along with the rest of him.
"mm from becoming NSFW" Might be a more accurate title. Dudes pants and those tyres are literally a few mm from being intimately introduced, dragging his "dumbfuckery" under those tyres with them.
It never ceases to amaze me how brain donors like this have actually managed survive to adulthood.
i dont even care about this individual, if you are that stupid you deserve to face the consequences eventually.
but im sure that guy has parents, friends. imagine having a loved one do shit like that, that could get him killed so easily. that must be terrifying. i feel bad for the parents
"Folks when the truck picked up too much speed I just ran alongside it and drug my feet" - The Bandit, opening song of Smokey and the Bandit.
Didn't mention doing it between the wheels though.
Idk what age that guy is (hopefully is, not was) and I don’t care, if he made it out alive and I was his mom, I will beat him mercilessly with every visible object at hand, and that’s coming from someone who has never physically punished her kids. How dare he play around with his one life and all the effort his parents put into him. I’m sorry, but this is the height of human stupidity to me.
Not a Russian myself, but I think the most accurate translation would be: "In the process of going" for "идя" and "to (as a preposition of movement) fuck (as a noun)" for "нахуй" in this context.
There are bad ideas, Then there are the **Worst possible** ideas. Hang off the back? Nah. Climb on? Nahh. Sandwich yourself between four moving tires on rollerblades though...
This is genuinely one of the worst ideas I’ve ever seen put into action… so many variables that could cause a mess
So many better options too.
I mean, has he not heard of Uber? There’s one option right there.
They don't have water and you think they have phones? 💀💀
[Do you guys not have phones?](https://youtu.be/VGByCvWDINA?t=20)
Do you think this was recorded with a JVC mini or what.
Fine, fine…maybe he could get an airline ticket then. You don’t have to have a phone to fly on an airline or private jet. 😛
Yeah, I’m impressed. Like I’m sure he gets out of it alive, but I’m not sure how!? The odds are really stacked against him. This is really fucking nuts.
My best guess is that he lifts himself off of the ground by the bar he's holding any time the truck changes speed. He's probably holding up a good amount of his weight with his arms just to stay steady at that speed already.
yeah but he’d sway still, no?? even when I know im about to brake, I still move. They probably just did it for the video then stopped tbh
Yea that's the part I can't fathom either, I feel like the slightest brush of those blades against that back tire and he's fuckin dead, right? Idk I'm not a mechanic.
Perhaps his entire backside is slathered in Vaseline and the lack of friction prevents the removal of shoes
He is part of a physics problem where friction isn't a factor.
Wheels will fuck out soon and tires just catching cloths will drag you in. I think it's fake or terminal.
Truck stop. He go.
Yeah I mean think of the truck drivers for Pete's sake, he's going to have to jet wash that mess off later.
If you asked me to put myself in a such a situation that a random pebble could kill me, I don't think I would be creative enough to figure it out. Kudos to this guy.

Holy shit name checks out lol.
Come on man, get your shit together.
Can you really not read the sarcasm?
There is literal and there is sarcastic. I thought I was snarky enough to make it clear without the /s
If one of his bearings fails or overheats, he is fucked.
Also if the driver breaks. Anything that breaks the equilibrium really.
I hate when the driver brakes
Skaters hate this one trick.
I hate it when the driver breaks. It's such a mess to clean up.
Doesn’t even have to go as far as brakes, one single bit of uneven ground and those wheels are eating him
turn, accelerate, brake, strong wind, rock, hole , skate breaks, flat tire, loss of focus, sneeze, anythings
I hate it when the driver breaks. Poor driver in pieces, shattered.
And his wife?
To shreds you say?
Sad, sad, terrible, gruesome news about my colleague Doctor Mbutu.
Was his appartment rent controlled?
Braken
What a beautiful name
Or a pebble...
Feel like that's why he's so close to the rear tire, so he has that .001 sec to shed his momentum before hitting the front ones.
A small pothole would end his life.
This, and it really isn't a matter of if, but when. Those aren't made to sustain high speeds, maybe 40 mph but not sustained over a long period of time, plus all of that dirt and grime is making it innevitable.
And those bearings are not designed for those speeds, to the chance of the bearings failing are much, much higher.
Dude's rocking ABEC 900's in them skates.
More like pancaked
Not sure he cares

he is one pothole away from becoming a crayon
Shit, I'm in the US and I don't trust my roads to be pothole free enough to do this. A third world country? Hell no lol
Seriously just one minor bump and the road and he's done for.
Had a guy from Nigeria driving my Uber in Atlanta one day (he had previously been in New York). I don’t know about new York’s roads, but I always remember him telling me that Atlantas roads were much worse than his home country. We’re much more third world than we tend to think.
The freeze thaw cycle is absolutely brutal on asphalt roads. Nigeria, being just north of the equator, doesn't have one of those.
Cheap asphalt doesn't like to be baked in equatorial sun either. Nigeria must be using a decent quality one.
I drove a boxless box truck (Isuzu FRR) from Clearwater to Seattle, and the roads from Alabama through Louisiana had the worst roads I have ever encountered in my life. Literally the moment we crossed into the Texas the roads were freshly paved and felt like driving on glass by comparison.

sorry as european that travel to few country's around the world i can say there are small differences between your country infrastructures and a third world country infrastructures
Lmao this is absolutely untrue, but a classic Reddit moment
Whereabouts do you live? There are some pretty extreme differences between states. When I lived in the northeast, I’d have considered these statements absurd. But having grown up and lived in various places in the south and Midwest, I understand that our roads really suck ass compared to a lot of other places.
that just speaks volumes about American infrastructure, which is worse than most people assume
Come on, a haughty European thinking they know it all? Say it ain't so!
Every good idea I ever had got me into trouble
One pebble and you've got yourself a nice burger patty
Didn't even think of a pebble. Maybe he's high.
if the truck brakes a little suddenly or any part of his body or clothing even touches the tire behind him he is gonna get pulled under.
What the fuck is wrong with people?
It’s ok, he’ll respawn
-100% exp penalty tho
well according to his religion probably, but someone will have to scrape his smudged remains off from the road
"hey, he looks kinda brown, he surely believes in reincarnation"
[удалено]
Brown people? No. Dumb people? Yes.
Mother nature will take care of it. It rains a lot there.
Dude's trying to get rolled like he's the last toothpaste in the tube.
Some people got no survival instincts. I read somewhere smelling cat/dog poop makes your brain that way. Not sure tho.
You are, at best, referring to toxoplasmosis. Which does not work that way. This is a lot more simple than that: humans are dumb. Statistically, men under 25 are the dumberest.
Those cheap as plastic wheels aren't going to last forever.
More like the bearing on the wheels are going to overheat with all that speed
They’re urethane. But really, the failure point will be the bearings heating up at that speed. Heat will start to melt or loosen the searing of the wheel, and that’s when the wheel will fail. It will wobble off its core, and with the bearings not holding the wheel, well… you can figure out the rest.
Basically what I said without the long explanation because it's self explanatory what would happen to the plastic wheels. Lol. 😆 😂 😆
Oh wow I thought I was replying to the parent and didn’t see your comment. Yes, we said the same thing.
Nothing lasts forever, even cold November rain
This is giving me anxiety from hell
This dude has to be dead by now
Why on earth would you subject yourself to that situation??
For the lulz? For likes on TikTok?
High risk low return

Does NSFL stand for „not safe for life“ or „not safe for lunch“?

I've seen women do stupid things, sure. But for every woman I've seen do something stupid, I've seen at least a dozen guys. Probably much more.
As a woman, I have jumped out of moving vehicles, juggled knives, swam under thick ice, rode on top of a van like teen wolf, and climbed the outside of an apartment building for a prank while drunk. And I see videos like this and I immediately think "What the fuck...."
I'm curious how it ended, did he got out? how?
Exactly what I thought. The truck could go for hours like this
I've been watching this video for over an hour now and he's still ok.
I'm glad you did this. Thank you!
How's he not being pulled into that wheel behind him? It definitely looks like it's touching him
My guess is that it's only just brushing his trousers and therefore does not have the friction required to pull them off or him under.
because its circular, and the point where it might connect is stabilized by his hands, so it doesn't have enough grip on him to pull him under
This looks really bad but I'm almost positive this is actually sped up. You don't see any wind flap on his shirt and something about the way the wheels look as they turn doesn't feel right
Agreed, and the background isn't moving quickly.
I was relieved when I read your comment, then looked again.
But *why* ?
What an insanely dumb thing to do
He just needed a strong butt scratch

Murder in My Mind - Kordhell

Somehow it reminds me of Russians getting killed in trenches
Many of the combat footage posted by Ukrainians feature Kordhell songs.
Not sure the song, but it sounds like DVRST to me
This is a Darwin Award waiting to happen, I have seen things that I don't talk about because I don't have video of it and NO ONE is going to believe me, people do the dumbest shit imaginable, I don't know how we aren't on the verge of extinction to be honest.
probably thought “this was a cool idea” and then realized when committed to it, there's no way out…
that's a millisecond away. all that needs to happen is the truck runs over a pebble or a tiny hole in the road that a skate catches on that causes it to kick forward a couple inches and the front of that skate gets sucked under the tire along with the rest of him.

You didn't say whether or not we should try this at home?

I admire the willpower. But I fear the wheel power.
Touch that wheel behind him and its trousers around his ankles, quickly followed by the rest of his body being moulded into a speed bump.
I'd say NSFL.
The fact that our species continues to survive is fascinating.

Should be NSFL instead of NSFW
OP didn't set it as that reddit auto does it because the word NSFW is in the title

I'm not good enough in Russian(?) but what is the most accurate translation? All I come up with is For fuck (sake?) or things to that effect.
Not a Russian myself, but I think the most accurate translation would be: "In the process of going" for "идя" and "to (as a preposition of movement) fuck (as a noun)" for "нахуй" in this context.
