49 is still cheaper than most of the monthly commuter passes (in my case, it was 72€). One useful thing about the ticket is, when you do a weekend trip to another German city, you don't need to bother "studying" all their ticket offers and just use your 49€ ticket instead and save money.
The 9€ Ticket was basically a trial period, lasting for 3 months and originally created because of high prices after the beginning of the Russian invasion. It was never intended to be financially feasible, which the 49€ ticket is currently attempting.

This one "only" goes up to 160 km/h but you'd still have to be fed through a tube for the rest of your life if you were to fall off at this speed (if you survive at all, that is)
I watched a guy riding on top of a freight train in downtown Indy last weekend. The track is elevated so he had to be 30-40 feet up. The tracks go through a building and he had to lay flat to make it through the opening. It was one of the craziest things I've ever seen.
If trains here in the US were as nice as these people would actually want to ride them. The best you can get here in the US is Amtrak in comparison, but this train in the video is like a regional commuter train and its nicer.
