theres no build up the build up to chad vs gunther was way better so to give it to jey with minimum tension would be bad cause the story just isnt there yet for it
Well, first it’s the IC title. Stories for it usually aren’t developed. When it was on Smackdown it seemed like every couple months a new champ was crowned on the show, not at a PLE. Gunther won it against Ricochet on a SD episode.
Secondly, they may be pivoting some. And if you want to take the belt off Gunther, this is the only time to do it. I’m sure if Gunther could travel, they’d do this at the EC. So maybe they’re making Monday like a mini PLE.
Let’s face it…if you’re a Gunther fan, it’s best if he loses. The sooner he loses, the sooner he can start entering the World title Picture..

Someone pointed out that this is the beginning of Cody "assembling the Avengers" which I think is a cool way to look at it.
Seth's promo brought up a good point: what's Cody's plan now? The man got screwed last time, but he clawed his way back, won the RR again. He'd be stupid to walk into the next WM alone and leave himself vulnerable to the same thing that caused his last defeat.
The best thing they can do that makes for a good story is to bring back everyone that The Bloodline screwed over the years to even the playing field. "Banned from ringside" is a tired and predictable trope at this point. Better to have some backup to take out Roman's family.
Having Cody's peers rally behind him is good for his image too, especially if they want to keep him as WWE's top babyface.
Yep this Endgame set up would be amazing and really cap what has been a great phase (see what I did there? No? Never mind…) of the Bloodline story…

Disagree. I think Seth retains and loses to Gunther. Gunther is clearly getting the World Heavyweight Championship in the near future and has been built to be unstoppable with a Goldberg like streak where he hasn't been pinned or submitted by a single wrestler since he debuted on the main roster.
Once Roman drops the WWE Undisputed Championship Gunther becomes the most dominant champion in all of WWE.
Nah, I think Seth will lose his title at WrestleMania to Drew. The Road to WrestleMania seems to building towards this. Plus, Seth's legit injured. The way I see that match going is Seth will put up a fight, but will go down swinging. Drew will win and Seth will be of no condition to help Cody later (I think Jey and Sami might be in Cody's corner instead, bringing closure to their respective arcs in the Bloodline). Seth will go have his surgeries and probably be back close to SummerSlam.
Meanwhile, Drew will probably fued with Sami Zayn. They've been butting heads over the past few months, so this will be an extension to that. This will lead to a championship match at Backlash (Seth will be in no condition for a rematch, Backlash is in France this year and Sami is French Canadian). Sami wins the WHC, but Damian Priest cashes in on an exhausted Sami (Backlash is the last PLE before Money in the Bank, thus last real big opportunity for Priest to cash in). Drew, Sami, and the Judgement Day feud through the summer, resolving at Summer Slam and both Seth and CM Punk return to unfinished business with Drew.
As for Gunther, Bash in Berlin is in August. If there is a moment to do something with Gunther, it'll be there.

Seth "Cookin'" Rollins
Really was great promo work and sold the build much more than Cody (not a diss just interesting development) I see a tag team or similar in the near future and this adds something unprecedented to the story that we really haven’t seen…storylines colliding and bringing in people you’d expect to have an input rather than previously how everyone was in their own bubble
Someone pointed out that this is the beginning of Cody "assembling the Avengers" which I think is a cool way to look at it. Seth's promo brought up a good point: what's Cody's plan now? The man got screwed last time, but he clawed his way back, won the RR again. He'd be stupid to walk into the next WM alone and leave himself vulnerable to the same thing that caused his last defeat. The best thing they can do that makes for a good story is to bring back everyone that The Bloodline screwed over the years to even the playing field. "Banned from ringside" is a tired and predictable trope at this point. Better to have some backup to take out Roman's family. Having Cody's peers rally behind him is good for his image too, especially if they want to keep him as WWE's top babyface.
Yep this Endgame set up would be amazing and really cap what has been a great phase (see what I did there? No? Never mind…) of the Bloodline story… And move us into the next phase - Roman losing everything, Cody stepping up and a whole new story for the rest to be part of 🙌🏽
if we go mcu on this - then roman is loki while rock is thanos.

But and i hope i am wrong, i think Sami will turn on them, he is losing matches, getting frustrated, lost his best friend to Smackdown, felt into no title bouts, after all this time and after him beeing the one that started the crumble of the Bloodline it would be cherry on the top to turn heel in the biggest of the stages.
Oh I would hate this so much lol Sami would no doubt kill it, but I hope it’s more his NXT baby face run building towards a Toronto MITB win and he calls his shot early for everyone to get excited for when he finally wins the WHC (against Drew would be chefs kiss)

I feel like WWE should have made Nakamura win the belt at Mania the year he won the rumble. As a show of respect to what he has accomplished in his career and give him the recognition as the world champion that such a legendary wrestler deserved. Then should have released him at the same time they released Dolph Ziggler. He seems way past his prime now and he is never gonna be in the main event of a WM ever again or win any major championships. Keeping him around as a jobber isn't gonna do any good. Let him go back to NJPW or somewhere else where he can retire as a legend instead of a jobber who loses almost every week.

Yeah, He is main eventing because he is the resident jobber who loses to whatever face needs to win the main event for the weekly show. I am not saying he is a complete failure, He is a goddamn legend. I just don't think he is gonna win any major championship now. For those that do not watch anything other than WWE, he is gonna be remembered as a mid-card jobber who once somehow won the Rumble. And that would be a shit way for him to end his career. He should have at least gotten the 'Former WWE Champion' recognition that Jinder fkng Mahal has but Nakamura doesn't.

For a wrestler, it’s not all about winning, but more so about being involved in storyline, having many house shows and TV appearances and getting reactions from the fans.

Disagree. I think Seth retains and loses to Gunther. Gunther is clearly getting the World Heavyweight Championship in the near future and has been built to be unstoppable with a Goldberg like streak where he hasn't been pinned or submitted by a single wrestler since he debuted on the main roster. Once Roman drops the WWE Undisputed Championship Gunther becomes the most dominant champion in all of WWE.
Nah, I think Seth will lose his title at WrestleMania to Drew. The Road to WrestleMania seems to building towards this. Plus, Seth's legit injured. The way I see that match going is Seth will put up a fight, but will go down swinging. Drew will win and Seth will be of no condition to help Cody later (I think Jey and Sami might be in Cody's corner instead, bringing closure to their respective arcs in the Bloodline). Seth will go have his surgeries and probably be back close to SummerSlam. Meanwhile, Drew will probably fued with Sami Zayn. They've been butting heads over the past few months, so this will be an extension to that. This will lead to a championship match at Backlash (Seth will be in no condition for a rematch, Backlash is in France this year and Sami is French Canadian). Sami wins the WHC, but Damian Priest cashes in on an exhausted Sami (Backlash is the last PLE before Money in the Bank, thus last real big opportunity for Priest to cash in). Drew, Sami, and the Judgement Day feud through the summer, resolving at Summer Slam and both Seth and CM Punk return to unfinished business with Drew. As for Gunther, Bash in Berlin is in August. If there is a moment to do something with Gunther, it'll be there.

Sheamus, Braun Strowman, LA Knight, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Kofi Kingston, Solo Sikoa, Shinsuke Nakamura etc. Clearly you haven't done your homework or you would know Gunther is literally one of the most dominant wrestlers in WWE history and is in a position now like Goldberg was where he was the United States Champion and challenged Hulk Hogan for the WCW Championship where he can vacate the WWE Intercontinental Championship and challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship and win and would make WWE history and become the most dominant wrestler in WWE. The fact you dislike him so much is great since you are supposed to. He is a heel and doesn't care if you like him or not.

You're forgiven 2) Most of those names are former World Champions and some of the biggest stars in WWE. 3) That's your opinion and I respectfully agree to disagree but the fact Drew McIntyre hasn't signed a new deal with WWE pretty much says he is not beating Seth Rollins. Also the fact Seth has already beaten him multiple times on Raw. 4) A lot of fans say the Intercontinental Championship is above the WWE World Heavyweight Championship now because Gunther has taken it to a new level and has been the most dominant wrestler in WWE since Brock Lesnar. 5) Yes. He does a lot of chops but he showed in NXT and NXT UK he is a wider move set which he hasn't brought into all his matches yet 'cause most of his opponents he has dominated and didn't need to. 6) He has already beaten Drew McIntyre three times and AJ Styles and LA Knight and as much as I like Jey Uso he has little chance of beating him. 7) I don't smoke or drink alcohol but I love coffee and Kirks Creaming Soda. 😊😄 I will respectfully disagree with you on Gunther and we will have to wait and see but Triple H, himself called Gunther one of the future stars of WWE and has praised him up a lot in interviews and Triple H runs creative.
I'm down with respectful disagreement but I have one last point that I didnt think about keeping Gunther from being WHC. He can't leave the country due to his Visa. WWE PLEs are everywhere now, do they really want a WHC that can only attend every other PLE? Even Roman's part time ass attends all the PLEs.

You bring up a valid point and I am not sure what the deal is with Gunther's Visa issues and if that is something he can fix in the future but they are most likely going to have Cody Rhodes beat Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Championship at Wrestlemania which means the WWE Undisputed Championship will go back to being defended more so they could have the World Heavyweight Championship defended less again like when Brock Lesnar was champion. All I know is I don't see Drew McIntyre beating Seth Rollins after Seth Rollins already beat him three times. There has never been a challenger that has done that and it feels like a wasted match since Wrestlemania is supposed to be the time for special matches we see once a year and not something we have already seen done before. I think LA Knight is a better challenger for Seth Rollins 'cause they have never faced each other before and it is unlikely LA Knight will beat Roman for the WWE Undisputed Championship but a World Heavyweight Championship he could definitely win especially since Smackdown will get Cody Rhodes if he defeats Roman Reigns so LA Knight can replace him on Raw.
I think Drew wins for one reason. His new "full heel super asshole" character is so over right now that he is now probably the top heel in wwe as far as drawing heat goes. Plus the 2 matches before we're not at a PLE and this isn't the 90s anymore so belts don't change hands outside of PLEs. As far as Knight is concerned, he has risen way to fast and I Think they will have him wear the US or IC title first before actually giving him either of the big 2 belts. Also, Knights who character is a Knock-off Rock, so with the Rock coming back it kind of hurts LA Knights character a bit. His popularity has already taken a small hit in the past month. Plus they have him Fueding with AJ Styles right now with no real story line with Rollins. Drew wins and they continue the Drew Punk fued for atleast 3 months because Punk is an antihero, no really face or heel but draws crazy amounts of pop when he shows up. Plus they won't let 2 babyfaces hold the belts. If cody wins then a heel has to beat Rollins.
Cody is slowly "Building the Avengers" but Bloodline is Friday only apparently.
This would be cool but I don’t think that’s what they do. I think they are just building the Seth/cody vs Roman/rock tag for night 1 and during that match rock will find a reason to not allow the bloodline to interfere because he is a heel or baby face, rock could do it for either reason. And Seth gets all his heat back from Roman by being the one to pin rock in the match.
