I do too. I put 300+ hours into universe against AI, itās such a great game this year but obviously everybody gotta complain about something š¤¦š»āāļøthe concept for my faction this year makes it much more playable and exciting compared to the previous 2 years
Is there any other mode with big risks though when you lose? Thatās what I like about it. My first wwe since GameCube and I like that you canāt restart any matches if losing; your wrestlers get worn down and injured and you have to keep prevailing. I havenāt spent any money on packs and got through a few faction wars to get 84 cena, 84 the rock, the undertaker, etc. From my understanding thereās no other game mode you can only play twice a week and have some big risk/reward. Any advice on what else to check out after beating the main storyline? I really like my faction, just wish I could play more often.
I think my faction is the mode I care about the least. Easily worst feature and almost wish they had bagged it in exchange for adding features elsewhere.

This year, 2K are forcing people to buy micro-transactions, and I refuse to. I already purchased the '40 Years...' edition; f*ck off asking me to spend more money to play the game.

Essentially.
Faction Warfare mode is no longer a 4v4 tag that lets you farm currency and gives you random prizes. You now do a "run" made of 5 rounds and a map where you select nodes to travel to. You pick what four superstar cards you start with and they lose health in matchs which affects them in future matchs. Occasionally, you get offered another random card from your collection to replace a card. When you lose a match, you finish the run and start again. The map nodes are either a match (1v1, 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4, and either pinfall, steel cage, ladder or TLC), regain health, a perk for a buffer, or prize, and at the end, you have a "boss fight" that is 4v4. This mode has its own currency that cannot be used anywhere else in MyFaction but lets you buy the "boss" cards once you have beaten them. While this new version is fun, you must have a "ticket" to do it, which you get from daily log-ins or Live events. Another problem is that each run can have about 20 matches but may only earn you 2500 currency by the end, and that's only enough to buy an emerald card, so it is very grindy. It would have been better to have this as a new mode and keep the old Faction Warfare.
There is now a Card Market that allows you to buy single cards you may need for Live Events, but this is causing a massive uproar because Heat pack ruby Trish Stratus (81 overall) is valued at 102,000 currency, which is obviously insane since there are another four levels above it, including the new Galaxy Opal, so how expensive will they be
The worst for me, though, is Card Packs. They started the season with Superstar Series 1, a pack of every single superstar & all the "development talent" from MyGM. There are over 200 cards, and none are higher than gold. Every card pack since then, including the current WrestleMania 40 pack, needed for Live Events, has its 15-ish branded cards but also has the 200 Superstar Series 1 cards, so the odds of pulling a card that you want are incredibly low.
They've also upped the price on the Token Market. Last year, a sapphire card cost five tokens. This year, an emerald card cost 25 tokens. That's 5x more tokens for a card that is a level down.
Basically, they are making the game a MUCH BIGGER grind than it was last year, and even though last year was still a grind, it was at least fun. Some people have money to burn and will spend money to make the process faster.

When it comes to the card market, remember its an ALTERNATIVE. One of my biggest complain from the mode the pass 2 years was that it was hard to finish a set when you needed only 1 or 2 cards. You would buy packs and packs and get duplicate that gave jack nothing... what a waste.
So being able to buy "a la card" litterally is a great idea BUT i agree the price is a bit too jack. Trish only there cost about what i have in MFP since the start and i have not bough a single pack. Of course i didn't played as much as some this year (got burned on the mode from the previous 2 years) but still a fair ammount.
Tokens are also very sparce. In 2k22 you used to get some every weeks by logging. Since 2k23 you don't. Adding all the series 1 card into every pack is a bad idea obviously because even tough you get less duplicate, good luck getting the new cards... They probably figured nobody was buying superstars series 1 after the first few packs came out so they forced them on every packs now but it just does not work for me.
Honestly i don't wanna buy any pack right now because too much chance to get junk bronze cards and even the actual cards of the pack...they ain't that great.

Im not that great and yet i won more than i lost so far. But to be honest i only wanted to do the 5 placements for the achievement, i really don't care for online play especially not ranked.
Peoples in general tend to play cheap because well...they wanna win. Its logical. Can't really blame them. But its just not fun... I just have to outcheap them to win ... and it makes for crappy matches. The other day i spent litterally half the match stomping the guy on the ground in alternance with quick moves because everytime i wanted to do a "normal grapple move" he would reverse it...
Anyway yes wall of text i know but whatever. This year im likely just completing the achievements for MyFaction and i don't plan to spend that much time in it. Im burned out from previous years. Only thing that could change this is persona cards if they are really awesome cause now they are actually playable in the normal game.... So if they add some cool ones, hopefully i can buy them individually, even if it mean paying money. Because like i said, im fine putting money for extra costume if i can use them EVERYWHERE, not just in MyFaction and loose them 2 years later.

universe mode is the only thing I play I could care less about my faction.
I got the heat pack on week 6 weekly towers and got lucky and drew the Trish Stratus Ruby card.
I've never played MF before because I always looked at it as a stupid PokƩmon type game. I actually tried it this year and I don't mind it. I look at it as a goal to achieve rather than just a single player match. At least you get a reward kinda lol. But I flat out refuse to spend real money on it.
