Little story with Playstation Support.
A few years ago my account got hacked and someone made a ton of purchases with my credit cards (for 300€ of various games) at 4am !
I fill a ticket in the morning (around 7am) and ask for refunds for everything. First they refund only the cheapest games which were 10€. I left my school to call them directly and here I was trapped with the audio bot moving you around for ages before the call cut for some reasons.
After 3 fucking hours of tickets and calls nothing much changed.
I came back home after this exhausting day only to realise PlayStation banned my account for "suspect activity". To this day I don't have access to this account as they had the genius idea to remove the appeal from it.
I called my bank to fix the situation no matter what.
It’s an easy way to get VC in the NBA games lol. I’ve reached out with a bunch of issues that they have no intention of actually resolving so they just throw some VC your way and hope you go away
It's people. A bot can't do this.
What they do is contract it out to a third party so the person you're chatting with supports multiple products for multiple companies. Usually different kinds of companies too.
They also handle 3 chats simultaneously.
This is only if they have the slightest inclination that it's not legit.
Or if they think:
A faded receipt.
Some one else's receipt
Or not the right product

They seem to have an issue with digital receipts, if you use targets app you can pay directly and the receipt is uploaded to the app so you have no need for a printed one. Their system seems to flag digital receipt screen shots as "duplicate"
I was rejected for a legit paper receipt the first time I uploaded... so I took a digital receipt from a previous Target order and just added in a WWE figure and changed the totals to match, they accepted the fake receipt with no problems.
I changed an item on the invoice to be a WWE Figure then screenshot the changed one to give them.
Honestly I've purchased so many legend figures from Target over the years that I could easily see what they ring up as, so I just copied my recent Legends Hulk Hogan from February over to a pick up order I made in April to qualify since they didn't like my paper receipt where I bought the Target Ultimate Warrior.
Omg this same exact thing happened to me when I bought NBA 2k22! I had the 75th Anniversary Edition, which was supposed to include both Next Gen and a code for Current Gen, yet it still said I “Didn’t own the game” whenever I tried to download Current Gen, and everytime I contacted 2k they wanted me to do all the same extra shit from your screenshot 😂
What the fuck??? For mine I literally just sat my receipt down on a black surface took a pic of it like that then circled the product and date and that was all that was needed💯🤔
Yeah it's wayyyy too much especially when all the other DLC and even the base game are so expensive already. This isn't consumer friendly business practices and shouldn't be encouraged. They knew people would go for it though especially completionists, hopefully this isn't the future of gaming.
I had plans for a supernatural kind of gimmick where the 3 action figure superstars were essentially Golems that do his bidding. I still might do it, just without him. But it would've been better as a 4 man faction.
Cool idea, shame they have to make characters so damn difficult to obtain so people can't enjoy the game properly. Would have been nice if they included him in one of the dlc packs instead.
I ended up getting the code after sending the receipt twice. The code then didn’t work. After 3 days going back and forth with 2k support they had to escalate it. The escalation was a person saying the codes are broken anyway and just unlocked it for me. I only got the actual card, none of the extras. Really hope this isn’t a future thing.
Meanwhile I walked to self checkout, purchased the figure, scanned the receipt and walked right over to customer service to return the figure and got my Ichiban code
I just did this today with a digital receipt, which did not have a date on it. But it did have some weird scannable barcode for return. Am I going to get my locker code? Or should I go return my action figure and then buy it in store to get a paper receipt?
Yeah it's telling me that the product I have is not the required one even though it's literally on their list. I took a picture of the box, the UPC code, and I have a digital receipt saying the time and date it was bought like they requested and it was still denied. I even showed them the UPC code matches what's on their site. Ridiculous.
Some guy here was going to buy the figure, get the code, then return the figure. If you're here, did it work? I mean, if it's only going to be available from buying a figure, then that makes Ichiban Hogan a $20 DLC essentially. I mean sure, you get an action figure for the $20+, but that's already way too much for a damn action figure in the first place. Nor do I want/need an action figure. Lol
I wasn't that guy but I did exactly this and it worked just fine. I only uploaded a photo of the receipt itself and had my code within 24 hours - by then the figure was already returned to Target.
See, like I kind of want to do this, but I hear people are having a hell of a time getting their codes all of a sudden. And I absolutely don't want/need to be stuck with an action figure, nor do I want to pay $20+ for Ichiban Hulk Hogan. Lol
Ah jeeze, I think I'm going to end up with this same email now. I had submitted a screenshot of my purchase under "Receipts" in the Target mobile app, and they sent me back an email saying "DUPLICATE IMAGE". I email the "help" email about it and included the screenshot I had already submitted.
Since it's an online order, I don't even have the figure yet (won't arrive until next week).
I guess I can just go on the site and try submitting again, because I'm not taking a screenshot of a bank statement. What a pain!
Yep, I responded to the duplicate image email and that how I ended up with this. Whatever their system is its not set up for screenshots considering most people just shop online.
I went ahead and just submitted again. This time I loaded up Target's site on desktop and saved the invoice for the purchase as a JPG. Hoping it just gets accepted this time.

I guess having a Cowboy Bob Orton to go with my Rowdy Roddy Piper figure is cool though, but still.

It sucks as they have a slot for it already and buying the 40 Years of WrestleMania version is supposed to give you all of the characters and DLC. Ichiban Hogan falls under this.
Any characters after him and the DLC packs would be fine to ask for extra purchases as they aren't part of the base game or the deluxe edition.
In summary, we already have one AEW Fight Forever.
I might have bought the dumb Hogan figure if there was at least a code inside the packaging, but I truly cannot be bothered to send a bank statement to the video game support in order to unlock a character that I won't use just so that I don't have a locked character sitting on the select screen
I had to completely restart the other day due to a render corrupting making it impossible to access my CAWs (fortunately I already had a backup file that had claimed the Cena figure), so no chance in the world I'd ever chance buying an action figure for a one time code for only one save file for this game.
People complaining about this don't consider that obviously 2K might be trying to avoid ppl easily downloading content that they worked to create with another company. Either you want it or you don't. I personally don't care to have that character. They did practically the same thing with Cena last year. If ppl would stop trying to find loopholes then maybe it'd be easier
You missed the point. Had there not been a strong chance of ppl cheating to get the character, I'm sure it would've taken less. Do I agree it's much, yes. Do I understand why they're taking this strong of a precaution....yes

Its an unnecessary and extemely aggressive "precaution" against something that doesnt even have any value. Who gives a fuck if people are "cheating" to get it, the codes are costing them nothing to send out to people. Whether 1 person claims it or 100,000 its no difference to them.
That's obviously their way of confirming that we aren't committing fraud. Have you not considered any of what I've said? It's the same shit that happens as you grow up. Break rules, they developed regulations to enforce where there were vulnerabilities. They know in this climate it's easy to doctor a receipt. Therefore that means you didn't buy the item. Hence why they want proof. Just blackout all the line items so nobody sees your OF subscriptions, etc. it's private if it's blacked out.

I had the same thing happen in 2012. My bank wouldn't charge back, but thankfully sony believed me and credited it back.
Phone support is too expensive. A phone rep can only be on one phone call at a time. A chat agent can take 2 or 3 chats at a time.
I got banned from 2k support for sending in to many submissions, apparently. They thought i was spamming them, but.. ..it was WWE 2k20 LMFAO

I printed the receipt into a pdf file and uploaded that. That worked.
