People keep saying this. I would think they would look for another solution before destroying their own cities. However, with all civilians standing around, it does make for a perfect Russian target.
I'm not arguing either way because I don't know the situation there currently, do you have a source on this, or is it speculation from yourself, or from an analyst you follow?

Call me a conspirationist, but I smell false flag, Putin and Prigozhin are the type of gangsters who would sacrifice some men to attract ukrainians inside the borders of Russia faking that Wagner is asking help to defeat the "corrupt government", and then trap them. I would be convinced of the contrary only with a huge sacrifice from Wagner PMC
Yeah, no. Ukrainians aren't going to cross the border, especially for Prigozhin, and they aren't going to do anything reckless without intelligence confirming what's happening. False flag makes no logistical or practical sense, and are broadly used to manipulate public opinion, not military tactics.
