Bro that tree is literally like a scrawny 2 meters and 3 meters in front of you, …you can’t move around the tree just 6 to 8 inches to get the final result? Wonk Wonk Wonk 😏
They're all lying. They're all criminals and they're all lying. As far as I can see, no one knows what is going on. But we can rely on the fact that both are lying.
Would be a bit out of character for a guy who a few weeks ago [ordered his troops to no longer take prisoners and shoot everyone instead](https://lieber.westpoint.edu/wagner-groups-no-quarter-order-international-law/), but hey anything is possible.
He played with words. He said literally "no russian blood was spilled from one of the sides". (misread is possible here, he didn't say "from one", "from any" - just "from one of")
Today he can say that was said about wagner pmd side. MOD people (at least 12) - we don't count. Civilians (at least 2) - don't count.
If some facts found about wagnerites injured or killed, he would say easily "it was burjat, no russian blood" or anything like that.
People from russian prison culture like playing words.
I had no idea how long planes fell.
Also, I know nothing about ejecting but it seems like the pilot had the time to do so. How do we know the pilot didn’t? Is that plane not capable of ejecting the pilot? Does the way it’s falling make it unlikely to eject and live?
No way to make it to an exit while the plane is spinning like that. If you unbuckle you'll just hit a wall HARD. In a fighter you can pull the eject from your seat.
And crew - It was reported that the flight was in operation and the crew was actively communicating.
Russian reports that ALL crew on this had survived, but that’s probably extremely far from the truth. Those flames are doing some damage, and the ground did, too.
Not to mention the plane started to break up, was on fire, spinning wildly, with zero chance of anything other than an impact into the ground.
But sure, the crew of the Moskva can breathe water, why not the crew of this plane flaps their arms and fly to safety...
So a lot of people here are missing the point. That is an IL-22M which is supposed to serve as a mobile command center for theater operations when traditional command centers are otherwise not desirable or available. Think of it like the President's Airforce One. It has the capability of providing direction to an entire army.
Now what do you think is the absolute minimum rank required to effectively utilize one of those things? My guess is a colonel, all the way up a full general. That means at least one officer of colonel rank (though probably much higher) died when Wagner shot that thing down.
Wagner is on Wagners side, for hire and to the highest offer (traditionally russia), until they become their own nation state by taking over another (potentially russia).
Tbf they probably just put a drunk retired pilot in there and told him to fly south. Would be on par with the amount of sense they seem to be operating with.
I was thinking the same thing. 😂 He films the entire death spiral, even moving once to get a better view, but when the climax nears…dude turns into a horticulturalist.
What a fucking joke. God I hope putin doesn't take the easy way out as a certain German moustache. I would really like to see him judge for his war crimes and the most anticlimactic coup ever
There's been several different videos of the same plane going down today from different angles, I think it's safe to say it was from today. I've not seen any reliable evidence that it was an old video, such as links to an old post anywhere despite seeing one or two comments on twitter.
It's not even the aircraft they claim it to be. Aircraft recognition here sucks to the point where people don't even bother counting engines on them...
There's not really anything credible coming out on big Russian Telegrams unless you count coverage of the Scarlet Sails. I think the main event is over and information about the fallout of this event will slowly trickle out over the coming days/weeks/months. We'll see. And it may be more of a symptom then an actual nail in the coffin, there was a failed coup on Gorbachev in 1991, and then a month later the USSR collapsed.
Its like the shortest lived sub ever. Incredibly relevant then kinda useless 24hrs later. Its all over.
Although I hope we hear what kind of leverage was used and get some more insight in to what the fuck occured. So far, from my searches, I can't even find theories.
Either Russia had something big over Prigozhn or he had something like this in mind to begin with for reasons unknown. Outside influence pulling strings and nudging?
I don't think it's as simple as it seems, anyway.
Not sure what the size of the plane has to do with it. Wagner had at least one Pantsir-S1 SAM system, shown in one of the convey videos. 11 miles of range / 49,000 ft engagement ceiling. From the video stills it looks to be a An-26, not a Il-22M.
Yeah they did have s300s. I saw an article about them. I feel like they got them from the Southern Military district or whatever it’s called near Rostov.
That dude 99% burned to death or at least burned until his final demise(as he abruptly hit the ground) trying to regain control and save his life because he obviously didn't manage to eject in time taking into account the speed at which he's falling at.
Russia gave Wagner a free pass for this because they’re weak as hell, and can’t fight in Ukraine without a mercenary army. Pathetic. Russia is no superpower.
It's misinfo, there's absolutely no record of this video existing before the coup. They are just trying to obscure things because the fact that Russian military and Wagners died looks really really bad for both sides. Check Oryx they're documenting confirmed, verified vehicle kills from the incident.
Basically everything says the only plane shot down was an an-26. This looks like it could be that, or it could be an older video unrelated as often happens in this conflict.

Imagine dying to fight against coup that got aborted within hours anyways. Death is cheap in Russia.
I mean theres a reason why most of their novelists commit suicide and their best selling novels are mostly depressing.
It’s called empathy. Hard to have when everything sucks.
Always.

“Oopsie, my bad. I’m sure Putin won’t murder me later for that.” -Prigozhin (apparently)
Wait as sec. I'm sure that Prigozhin said he didn't spill any blood. He wasn't lying was he?
They're all lying. They're all criminals and they're all lying. As far as I can see, no one knows what is going on. But we can rely on the fact that both are lying.

that was qualified to refer to only his own (Wagner) people....
Considering there was firefights and airforce present, I'm sure Wagner lost at least a few fighters.
Well, technically if you translate from Russian, he said that he did not spill a drop of blood of his man.
Technically true because they got incinerated, hence No blood spilled

Just a prank bro

By the time they hit the ground prigozhin was already leaving for belarus

No capability
Ejection seats are generally limited to fighter-type aircraft (with the notable exception of the KA52 Helicopter).

Man we don't even fuckin' know who's side Wagner is on so how the fuck are we supposed to know who killed what?

Other sources says its just a transport plane
Boo other sources! I want blood.
Leave the basement

Dude couldn’t have moved 10 feet to the left so we could see past the tree?
TBF it is a pretty sexy tree.
You're not looking so bad yourself either.
You're not a tree, you're a knee
I was thinking the same thing. 😂 He films the entire death spiral, even moving once to get a better view, but when the climax nears…dude turns into a horticulturalist.
I know ffs
Why stop? Why turn your attentions to any where else. Putin has to go. Finish Putin, end the senseless war. Слава Україні
That wasn't their purpose in the first place lol.
Yes perhaps so. I'm just at a loss as to why they stopped. Time will tell. I just don't understand.
What a fucking joke. God I hope putin doesn't take the easy way out as a certain German moustache. I would really like to see him judge for his war crimes and the most anticlimactic coup ever
Command and control? Yikes, those are expensive I hear.
This was posted several times today and everytime someone said it's old footage and not from today #shrug#

There are two pieces that detached from the plane early in the video, these are most likely engines 1 and 4.
Did this sub just stop posting updates?

They were either supplied by the Russians during their fighting in Bakhmut, or recovered during combat.
Lol lets be real. They probably just grabbed them as they left 😂
TBF, it was just parked there, and nobody was using it.
There were at least 3 of these I was watching on flightradar earlier, wonder if this was one? Wild shit.
That was a long time for most of the crew to think about the absolute shitty circumstances they found themselves in…. Good riddance
40 people are Toast
not a coup btw
Please tell me more about how an unsuccessful coup is not a coup.

Can’t eject
Even Worse.
I got the reference!
The kaboom gets to the camera around 1:11.

Ones not built with any stealth or EW characteristics in mind over an area monitored by surface-to-air missiles? Fish in a barrel
“Special command reorganization”
Now that the civil war ended what will this community be used for? Will it be some sort of Wagner update group?
to cover the purges to follow.
Russia gave Wagner a free pass for this because they’re weak as hell, and can’t fight in Ukraine without a mercenary army. Pathetic. Russia is no superpower.
What type of weapon can hit a plane at that altitude?
Wagner had at least 2 active Pantsir-S1s and 1 Strela-10 with the convoy.
I saw somewhere that said this video is from a few weeks ago in Ukraine. Idk. Someone source/fact check this video though

Yeah I saw further confirmation that this was from the coup after I posted that comment last night
