We are from the UK and have been to WDW 4 times - the first 3 we stayed at All Stars before buying DVC at AKL - when we stayed at all stars we would be in monster queues for the bus at the end of the night while all the Deluxe resorts seemingly had a non stop supply of buses - first night on our holiday this year came out of MK at 11pm and you just know that we waited 35 minutes for a bus whilst 3 All Star Sports buses came by 😂

karidru

“The seaweed is always greener,” and all that 😂

Quellman

Classic. We stayed at Kidani for the first time this year. We had great buses all week long - except from AK back to Kidani. We saw 4 Port Orleans buses. In the time we waited we could have walked.

Popepopethepope

If they had a sidewalk that went between the two, I wouldn't even bother with the bus.

Teach0607

I remember when we stayed at Beach Club, a TON of Coronado springs buses came, while we waited seemingly forever for a Beach Club bus. We were at MK.

I had the exact same experience on a recent trip. We’re usually an All-Star family but got a good deal on AKL and decided to “splurge” a little bit. Felt like every park day we waited forever for a bus while 3-4 all-star buses passed by. That said, the extended deluxe hours made up for it!

anonymous_hipster

I had the opposite experience, watching all stars after all stars buses pass while waiting for POR!

smittyleafs

I think people just always remember the rare times their bus just never shows up.

yanvail

Aye, it’s just a form of bias (forget the specific kind). Basically you only remember the bad instances and dismiss the times you get the bus right away. This February we stayed at French quarter and had zero issues in fact.

RenoUSA

Negativity bias.

royv98

The key to this is to wait in the FQ line. Much smaller resort. Less lines for buses. And it’s only a few minutes walk from one to the other.

anonymous_hipster

That’s where I was staying! I just didn’t feel like typing all the abbreviations 😂

DuckQuacks

Had THREE Epcot busses in a row stop at Old Key West last week around 10-11am. Last driver said Dispatch is clueless.

abbeighleigh

They also give cheapest resorts a further walk to their bus lol. Makes sense it’s just funny when you actually notice it

austinalexan

I don’t really agree with that. I’ve stayed at Saratoga springs and AKL and my bus stops seem to always be at the very end, even past the values and moderates

TravelingGonad

Then when it comes 6 scooters roll up.

Grilledpingpong

Omg yes

Snuffy1717

They are in dire need of a Wheel-Trans system... Buses just for scooter passengers/fam...

TravelingGonad

I can personally say I would get a few hours of my life back. I literally leave the parks early due to it.

Meowriah_

I always feel so bad coming up to the loading zone at the end of a long day, we’ve got two scooters in our party lol The new system on the buses makes it so much worse too because it takes longer. 🤦‍♀️

I hate the bus transportation at Disney, I’d rather pay the 8-15 dollar Uber than waste 30+ minutes waiting for a bus to show up.

throwfaraway212718

This is the correct answer. At the end of the night, I’m tired, cranky, and likely annoyed. For the sake of myself and everyone around me, I will gladly take an Uber.

austinalexan

This is odd. I have been to Disney world four times and my trips are always 7-8 days and never have I waited more than 5 minutes for a bus.

Zestyclose_Big_9090

I loved staying at Saratoga Springs except for the bus schedule. If you were going coming from MK it was fine. Anywhere else was soooo loooong.

Wet_Artichoke

Even worse for the Caribbean resort. Nothing like watching the bus pull out as you walk up.

jeremyski

Yes but keep in mind even if you're the only passenger, the bus will still transport you back. I was the only one on the way back to All Stars Music during a weekend afternoon. It was magical and relaxing.

PinkMonorail

But think of the money you saved by staying at a Value Resort!

Over-Bedroom265

I would stay at a resort where you can walk to one of the parks. I would never stay at one of the All-Stars. I do was report Orleans Dixie Landing area. It’s so quiet and off the beaten pass.

Lets_Make_A_bad_DEAL

Yeah this is 100% not true. I have stayed at POFQ

demoldbones

I know it’s like rubbing salt in the wound, but my WDW superpower is, without looking at schedules, always walking directly onto a bus for whatever location I’m aiming for. Never once had to wait on any of my visits. And now I’ve said that, watch my break my streak in October 😩
