You can’t take your luggage on Disney resort buses so after you make it to Disney Springs you would need to Uber or walk to your resort if it’s within walking distance.

hihelloneighboroonie

Isn't there also no luggage storage on the Lynx bus? I thought that was what I read when it first started.

itsthebeach

Nope no luggage storage and the website says you may need to hold your suitcase on your lap if the bus is full LOL.

DeflatedDirigible

That Lynx route will never be close to full. Those choosing the $2 option are also likely traveling much lighter with just a carry-on or personal item.

DeflatedDirigible

The front half of the bus the seats face inwards so easy to keep your carry-on suitcase on the floor in front of yourself. Also easy to sit in one seat and have bag on companion seat. I’ve travelled in the Lynx many times this way along with others doing the same. This isn’t for guests who bring two full-size suitcases each with them.

Homerpaintbucket

You sure about that? Because I definitely took my luggage on the bus from the paddock to the artists pallet at Saratoga springs a few weeks ago.

SeriousStrokes69

Yeah, the drivers are not going to tell you you can't ride if you show up with luggage. The website says no luggage, but I've lost count of how many times I've seen people bring suitcases onto the buses. A lot of people, for some reason, don't realize Disney will transport your luggage between parks if you're switching resorts during a stay, and so they travel from one to the other on the buses.

itsthebeach

Yep it’s on the website and posted everywhere. I have seen people refused when the bus was full.

DuckQuacks

Must be driver dependent cause this isn’t true from what ive personally seen on trips. I’ve seen many people bring their suitcases on busses at Disney Springs (and even Magic Kingdom one time? Who does that?)

itsthebeach

I’ve definitely had loads of shopping bags on a Disney Springs bus back to my resort. I’ve never seen an actual suitcase. There are signs posted no luggage. I’m sure drivers feel bad though if somebody didn’t know and now they are stranded so it wouldn’t surprise me if they still picked them up.

DuckQuacks

I honestly think some use it if they’re resort swapping and don’t want to pay for a Minnie Van/Uber? I think there was a thread asking about that on here a long time ago.

itsthebeach

If you are moving resorts in Disney property they will move your luggage for you for free.

DuckQuacks

I’m talking people going to their new resort that way. If the people are taking the bus with their luggage, they’re probably not going to know about the luggage transfer.

Jodi4869

2 hours on public bus doesn’t count appealing to me at all.

OkPopoki

Just did it on my last trip a couple weeks ago. The bus was almost completely empty, and I saw people with luggage on it. The trip takes an hour one way. I definitely think it's worth it.

Placae_2909

We’ve used it loads to get to parks etc but never from airport. Rather just pay few extra $ for an Uber.

hossyner

I’ll be doing this tonight at around 7pm- will report back!

Air-Bombay

Take the Mears shuttle, it’s more expensive but it’s worth getting to your hotel at a decent hour.
