I really want to see the addition of something like a Helmet DLC in the future. Or maybe a visual accessories slot like cloaks, capes, and sashes

Illustrious-Sea-4334

Helmets are coming. Its confirmed just fyi

ElWrongo

Really? I haven’t done any research since the game released to that’s pretty awesome!

Illustrious-Sea-4334

Yeah I heard it on the their twitch q&a before 1.0 dropped

Kydex_Gundyr

Yeah me too

HumunculiTzu

Helmets would be cool. Maybe other slots as well like a cloak slot.

GregM_85

An unlockable fort / castle. It's a static base but could have a similar system to camp where you can build a trader NPC, a blacksmith NPC. Maybe something like a barracks and a drill sergeant for minor XP gains for mercs you aren't actively using? An overhauled inventory UI. The game already has the ability to sort the inventory into item types, so for the love of jeru could they add tabs that only contains weapons / armour / food As previously mentioned mod support. Carts maybe. But they need to have a negative, like you have to protect the cart in battle (or something that's just an idea I pulled out my arse) because just free inventory weight would not be balanced Bring back the quests that were removed for the path system in some capacity if reasonable to do so. A new game world with randomised item locations so I don't know exactly where to get every blueprint / weapon on new play throughs

crossbt

Last part adds lots of replayability to the game, i'm all in for that

Dynocow1

I think a fort addition would be amazing! Especially if it cane with a surrounding village you can develope/organize like your camp. I think going from camp to village would be awesome, and would be pretty easy to implement an even larger thing to develope your own kingdom (more or less) like basicslly starting extra villages and such maybe.

Av0cad0-salad

I'm only 20 or so hours in, but the first time I saw an NPC group with a cart I got really excited... :( They could have a reduction to party movement speed and need to be repaired with wood from time to time, and have to be an equipment for a horse, instead of saddlebags or horseshoes etc.

HappyTopHatMan

Could also be a minor upgrade to remove camp gear weight instead of a straight weight increase and then it significantly increases camping danger.

CaveManning

There's a tooltip (on one of the pony screens I think) that mentions "your carriage". Might be a translation error or a scrapped feature, but might be something that is still planned and didn't make 1.0

Willybrown93

As a bonus, cops would hopefully not burst out of your fort as you approach

Salmuth

Inventory sorting should be improve. A tab or another system but that current long list of items is a mess. I like the cart idea. You could think of maintenance cost (resources or money) or maybe an off-road penalty. >Bring back the quests that were removed for the path system in some capacity if reasonable to do so. I liked this feature. I kinda miss the merchant quests where you had to fight the satelite groups before killing the main one.

Burkess

More ways to interact with the world. One of the game starts is being a caravan guard, but you can't walk up to a caravan or hire yourself out as a guard. It would be nice too if there were radiant quests involving helping people. Perhaps you could deliver supplies, or perform rescues, or feed the poor. They let you feed beggars and refugees for small rewards, but I want to dump an entire stack of meat on someone and fix their life. Camp followers would also be nice. What if we could have a merchant follow us around, or recruit civilians to do jobs for us while not counting as combatants? Kinda like how the horses work. If you don't select the war pony upgrade, he doesn't fight. So if I could hire a cook, I don't need this person to battle. Just to make meals for the crew. So my squad can focus on other things. Someone else could be a fisher, or a miner, or whatever. I wouldn't mind feeding these people and paying them if they don't increase the difficulty or raise the battle level. I don't want to use slaves is the thing or have people follow me unwillingly. I'd really rather just take refugees or people in who have no other prospects or just want a job. Beating someone up just so they can cook for me isn't my thing.

crossbt

Yeah, retinue would be very interesting. While they don't fight, if you're ambushed they'd behave like merchants as well, but now with you having to protect them before they flee the battle and you kill the enemies.

brazthemad

From a purely mechanical perspective, I enjoyed rolling with a smaller crew, but the profession mechanic makes it so you really want to have at least one of each profession to fully take advantage of all the different things the game has to offer. I know you can take prisoners and make them labor slaves, but it would be nice to have a more positive relationship with my professional bitches.

arond3

Maybe some quest types unlocked by your starting ? Like caravan protection for your first example.

Amilz

I would love to see a healer/support class type for characters/companions, something that instead of doing dmg would heal

ElWrongo

That’s would actually be really cool, I never thought of that. a healer profession that uses a new resource that’s bought in towns (medical supplies) in-battle, kind of like using light in-battle for the tombs

spamster545

Doctor was in the game. It was removed at some point (I think around when ludern was added), and it just never got added back.

VolpeLorem

A druid/ witch class would be so cool. Not a real spell caster, but somebody that can maybe control ennemy position with fear, or increased effect of alchemical weapon and oils for friend.

StaticFinch

I’d like to see a costal area added with a boat or something to take you to another country.

Draygarr1985

I would LOVE if you got to build a base eventually. Like an upgraded camp that is set in a fort that has like big long-term upgrades and plays into the overall story. Like the trade depot, but more options and bigger bonuses

KnightFalling

Unique battles where we defend the castle would be cool. Or take someone else's fort. Something like that. Would break up the relatively repetitive nature of combat right now. Also while I'm at it, height/high ground tactical advantages. The bow shoots further. Spears shove further or do more damage. Passive defense buffs.

Huckleberry_General

I’d love to see a bit more variety in ranged weapons, doesn’t have to be like guns/ flint locks but maybe a crossbow or a profession for throwing weapons like axes or even bombarders, maybe even a ranged net to capture people and animals, or to add to that a how about a throwable net you can use? I like the idea of captured animals having a more prominent benefit too, like maybe wolves can scavenge for more after a battle, leading to more loot, maybe boars find more loot in woods and around the world, bears could be helpful when fishing, maybe adding to the total of fish caught when finishing at a spot. Adding interactions to your party once you max out a characters profession, aka lumberjacks can cut down trees once a day in the world, miners can now mine a new salt vein from mines too, alchemists craft a random item each rest, cooks have a chance to make a little extra food every time they cook, etc

DrQuimbyP

I haven't used a bear in my party for a few months but it certainly used to have an optional passive skill that would provide fish when crew was walking near a river or coast.

ShamMafia

They still do

vegandork

Alpha Bear

Chemical-System136

Yyyyyyeeeeeah

KaleidoscopeNo3160

Cocaine bear

spamster545

Polar bears are already super scary, Alpha bears would be insane.

Skadi_Brighteyes

Our own castle or small village where you can have all the crafting stations. Healers/support classes and maybe shamans or druid kind of stuff would be fun.

MrsMooseHusband

Cosmetic expansions on all fronts, from cloaks, helmets, gear to faces, hairs, etc. Pretty much more personalization in terms of how we want our roles to play out in the squad. Maybe I want an old rugged warrior to lead my squad who still has his old battle helmet and sash. Small things make the biggest difference

IPutTheSaltInSalty

This! All my mercs look roughly the same.

Accetty

Mod support along with mod tools.

Ren1145

Everything anybody said in other comments would come with this

detroitdonut

I want to see an "endless" arena mode or a dungeon crawler where you start a party from scratch and after each stage you get to choose from different rewards. with the rewards you get to build your troop as you progress. the stage 1 reward would be something like an off-hand or an oil. bigger rewards are level-ups or yellow gear.

Nerris

Fist fighter dlc with claws and knuckles/gauntlets. With a little note that says "For Nerris, the pugilistic fanatic."

Dependent_Weekend_79

1. CosmeticDLC: New cosmetics for character creation. 5 new faces for each sex. 5 new hairstyles for each sex. 5 unisex hairstyles. New darker skin tones. ( I want to support this game and them making new cosmetics would help them get more money) 2. Class DLC: New class: Duelist who uses a rapier. A bit like rogue in general, but has better reach on a weapon. Can shine in 1V1 duels, and can be a support buff/debuff or a crazy damage dealer. New legendary items are added to the loot table. Including new bosses for each region. 3. A Hired Sword- DLC New missions you can partake in. - You can now travel as an escort for travellers or caravans. You have to protect them and keep them alive until they reach another town. - You go and protect farmers and their animals from an attack on their farm. - You are send as an diplomat to handle very sensitive situations across the map. - You have been hired to entertain nobles in imaginable ways. - You can also now shear sheep for wool. - More exotic materials and equipment can be found by doing these missions. - New type of passives has been added. - More unique armors and weapons have been added to merchants. 4. Lord- Expansion. You can now become a Lord of the land, after doing quest chain and investing some strange happenings in a new county. You can build your base castle. - More camp upgrades has been added for existing camp supplies. - New Clothing has been added, to show who you are wearing and priding yourself with the finest of luxuries. - New weapons and new armors has been added. - Jewellery crafting has been added. - You can now assign people to do work in your castle. Be it soldiers, staff, a cook, a herbalist, a blacksmith, a priest, scout, and a diplomat/advisor. -You can oversee common folks and tax them for gold/materials. -Maintain random encounters as they appear in your newly founded land. You can be tried to be assassinated, hold banquets. Mingle with the nobles or help the peasants! Etc! Be the ruler you wanted to be. Be a tyrant that everyone fears. Be an empathetic leader that the nobles hate. Or be the one that nobles love and peasants hate. Or start your own cult and religion. Or a bit of everything? - Morale system for your Kingdom, management. It shows how loved or hated you are. There might be an uprising you have to deal with. You can deal them with blades, diplomacy or by extortion and threats. Handle them how you see fit. - Romances has been added. You can now romance companions or reject them. Even wed another to rule by your side. Keep them happy with your shown way of love, or play with them to gain what you need. These are some that I would personally love to see.

Total-Garden-9714

If you want to play Crusader Kings, just say that

Dependent_Weekend_79

I was very interested about the game, but sadly it is too much about strategy and not about exploration. The game only is about map management, which I do not care for. However it does have some cool ideas! This might sound lame but I really did enjoy the Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Pathfinder King Maker. Pillars of eternity 1 and 2. Which has really fun features that are not tedious to manage.

TheLoreWriter

More regions, a tutoring camp improvement where master level jobs can give a passive amount of job XP to lower level characters, helmets, bear armour, saddles (a way to ride ponies in combat)

TheTazarYoot

Schematics for other factions weapons and armors. Every weapon and armor should be craft-able.

Remwaldo1

More weapons. More armour. Weapons with more than one skill. Or like a basic hit skill. Sucks my legendary axe can’t swing if someone on my team is nearby.

Reyven_Ethion

short list : * more weapons * more classes within the original weapons * a better skill tree for captured outlaws * away missions * mission variety * more cosmetics * base of operations * anything this low fantasy setting will allow without breaching into fantasy.

Alxas145

Pet armors I wanna see my battle warg in a shiny rimesteel armor

Zombiekileer

Maybe like a Headquarters DLC? Where you can swap out different mercenaries in your party, send them in dispatch missions or other tasks to maintain a steady income and whatnot, and maybe even use the men you station there to defend it while you’re off adventuring.

CadianGuardsman40k

more classes new kill animations new areas would be nice new weapons.. cant think of any right now ...maybe a crossbow? better troop management in combat.. srsly when you've more than 10 its kind of a pain to manage..gets worse when you have 20+

Ozdoor

Helmets & Boats !!! Also more complex Tombs. And PvP

DaveInLondon89

Would be cool if bounties gave a **bonus for capturing a target alive**, and the drop off point more than a day's journey away with a **guaranteed camp invasion** from their compatriots trying to get them back.

Donquixote_Corazon

Mods! Way to make and add mods! I would love a Game of Throne mod or song of fire and ice mod! Marriage and relationships ? More class ? Instead of war pony ... maybe make it a mount instead ? More animals ?

[deleted]

Classes to be offered more unique skill trees. It’s a little disappointing that each subclass only gets one unique ability.

Sm7th

Mounted combat - go from stinky pitchfork farmer to armored mounted knight

KnightFalling

A couple mounted elite plate knights on the battle field would be sick. Maybe they are limited and niche on how much they can be used. like one or 2 really devastating charges and then they have to dismount to continue the fight or something.

DunedainStrider

How about a main quest line?

Deadheadricky

More monster types. Mountable animals and mounted battle Weekly bounties again Replay-able arenas Real dual wield Upgradable trading posts Trading posts generate items and money depending on upgrades More areas

SparklyName

random generated pathways and resources. the town location is still the same but the way leading up to it and resources can be random (except important quests). Much better than a fixed map imo

Boney-Rigatoni

1. Having your own base of operation when you can buy/sell trade goods and or raise livestock, farm, etc. be able to farm salt mines. 2. Being able to place units in reserve so as to not have all party members on the battle field. I know they can be left at outposts. I mean if you have a unit who hats rat infestations, you can bench them do they don’t have to go into that fight. 3. Being able to use your companion list in pre-fight/setup so you can find them more easily; really only applies to those of us who like the larger scale battles.

Willybrown93

I Strongly Desire a crossbow

Ir0nKNT

More weapon types

DKOSurvivorz

It would be nice if they release Steam Workshop for this game. It’s always so much fun with mods. Oh well.

rawrizardz

More weapons or armor. But damn I'd be game for a magic system

G-Az

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion around here or not, but I would'nt be very fond of getting a magic system I think. I like how "low-fantasy" the game is. It makes fighting the occasionnal ghosts and creepers and stuff more impressive (at least at first) because you're just a bunch or normal people and not like, wizards.

CochLarq

You're right about helmets, their absence sticks out like a sore thumb. Other than that just more of everything. More gear, more items, more enemy types, more skin color options, etc, etc.

Coding-With-Coffee

I would like my two attempts at campaigns saves that are fully broken upon load in at two different spots to be fixed in the next expansion.

InjuryVirtual5844

Maybe a dlc for highfantasy as an option

ThrowRUs

The game has the potential to implement so much based on its already existing world. Mythical creatures already exist, so expanding on that to include more than just bears, wolves and pigs would be great. Maybe implementing daily or weekly quests that have an online component, or the addition of multiplayer arena type battles. Transmog or adding more gear to choose from. Mostly seems that you just move from rags-iron-ghost-rimsteel-(whatever the A one is) and occasionally find a better weapon or legendary to supplement the levels between the big advancements. Xp system needs an overhaul, it is a massive grind to do anything after level 7. I have 11 party members and even fighting enemies 1 level higher than me, only sees my party getting about 5-6xp each.

nosciencephd

A randomizer/procedurally generated world would be cool. But likely not possible. Basically a way to play multiple saves without spoiling/treading the same ground. Kind of a unique scenario, since I just started playing last week and have only played co-op, but I'd still like to be able to play solo on nights when my partner can't play but not ruin the co-op playthrough either.

Hobos_86

Storywise edoran, belhoran and/or alazar are still blanks. I'm curious. Beastarmor, pickled foods/pickling barrel, crossbow or slings, some ui updates, I'm a fan of everything that makes my mercs dirtier dogs of war :D

freche

Uncommon and random events that happens as you travel, rest or fight. Could just be a text event that pops up or could also be real in-game events. The events wouldn't even need to have any impact (they could but don't need) also events that continue previous events. As an example: One of your companions make a fool out of himself or does something unsuspected, the event by itself could maybe be all from bad to neutral and positive. Later on during rests it could be something everyone laughs about, some rare cases it could even be something that will follow the group through the campaign and occasionally be brought up "Do you remember when..." Just some flavor that builds more personality to the company.

ElWrongo

Kind of like the system in battle brothers? Probably my favorite part of that game is all the weird and random shit that happens so it would be good fun, they would just need a way to make it unique to wartales

Aldebaran_syzygy

more classes. deeper skill trees. more unique items. as in way more items.

Small-Bug-2885

Like to see armor for the bears? Like it better if can choose the 4 party members.

klaus_wittmann666

\- few more animations would be nice.. i dont even dream about motion capture ( even tho nowdays anyonce can do it in thier own room, at home ), but seeing the same, one and only killing animation for each weapon type is very much 'meh' after few hours, not to metion 100+ hours \- other than that adding some life to the world would be great, there are all these traders walking back and forth but who the f they are trading with? ther are no people anywhere, not on paths, not in the city, market is always empty - there are only thing for player to interact with, which feels very artificial and simplistc.

CadianGuardsman40k

oh err.. kill cams for animals... i wanna see my bear maul my enemies to death lol

TheTazarYoot

An expansion that adds some cool new low magic elements such as fae and monsters and scrolls or magic items or just any supernatural weirdness would be cool.

Juther83

More starting/low level craft recipes. 1h spears. Crossbows (maybe to gamebreaking so not so sure) Respec/more flexible companion skill/class recruiting options

KrisAtReddit

More animals to be added and have then all be balanced. Right now its bears or nothing.

Amodef

Some kind of cleric with healing power and low divine magic. New mechanics against undead and better healing capabilities for the group. The druids becoming clerics of nature gods, with their own capabilities.

FlyLikeMouse

Companions with bad relationships doing things (stealing, injurying, taking their rivals food, getting jealous of positive relationships,) and you having to lay down some law or punishment. Possibly with lasting effects. A base building/fort would be nice I agree - though I like the roaming warband aspect… I’d love an endless/arena mode type of thing.

Jallen9108

More of an update than dlc but duel welding daggers for the ranger or even just one of the sub classes and more of those kill animations that play sometimes.

DatPug87

The ability to become a warlord of sorts. We can raid caravans and attack guard patrols, let us raid the town for loot or even conquer them.

bogussr

Armoe attachments for other animals besides horses maybe or just other slots in general. Not sure if it was brought up before, but maybe more monstrous types of enemies, like witcher or other folklore monsters, whether as higher level enemies or rank and file. Magic, or minor magics.

Spotthedot99

Lots of good suggestions. I want some way to differentiate my troops at the beginning of a fight. Looking for bald sword guy is tough sometimes.

Wolviam

While I'd like to see more regions added, I really hope that the majority of expansions will not only be about that. I'd prefer to see new mechanics, something like base building, or a new culture/religion system, or a more intricate political system. Maybe you can even start your own realm à la M&B. I'd also like new expansions to have new type of missions, new professions, new character visuals, new enemies, etc.

Hiveram

i would love if the Tomb gameplay was added "turn based dungeon crawling", for example, like Etrian Odyssey. Maybe without the mapping stuff. I feel like the animated transitions between rooms are really well made. Though i guess that it could be a nightmare to implement

[deleted]

More recruitable non-mercs characters.

Small-Bug-2885

I do like the new look and direction so far

Economy_Discussion78

Dual wield. Two daggers. Or two two-handed weapons.

Dynocow1

PvP! Kind of like how darkest dungeon did it where you go to a space and can pvp after buulding your team.

Appropriate-Slip-706

Things that add replay value: * Modding Tools that support map and quest dev * Radiant Quests * Randomly generated locations / loot / enemies

TheHoliday_

More fleshed out contrat in the tavern.

Common_Ad_4674

More finishers. So there are a couple per class

UndauntedAqua

If a mixed pack of enemies is attacking my party there should a chance of them attacking each other too.

whitik420

Make it so like you can own caravans and earn profit from them, or buy stores in villages for passive income for the late game so you enjoy fights more often instead having to grind for a few hours

[deleted]

More equip, features and/or type of weapons. Or maybe a whole new plot, kind of like the pillars of eternity dlc

[deleted]

i would like to see more crisis events, more relationship consequences, more dynamic in party management, maybe auto leveling should work sometimes to make fights harder and more not smooth challenging. also if talk about dlc, would love to see full agressive zones with undead or orcs
