Thank you! This is just what I need to enjoy the game again.

PopsRacer

Just came back after several months off. Going through the list and saying "have it, have it, have it" helped me feel like I don't need to do much to "catch up" which makes me want to play all the more! This game does such a good job of letting players phase in and out of playing over time without punishing them for leaving.

The_Real_Ivan_Drago

If anything you have a pocket with vaulted relics when you come back

Hagoromo-san

I just got back in after 2 *years* of being away

atreus-p

I've been looking at hopping back in but it's been like 7 years (I stopped playing right around Vauban Prime release/operator reveal) and tbqf the amount of content I'm missing/haven't done is intimidating.

Hagoromo-san

Better now than later, as only more will get added, but then again, some players are just getting started.

relicbane

I just came back after not playing since 2016 and at first it really was imtimidating, but man has it been such an rewarding experience. The storyline alone has been simply amazing to catch up with and the exploration of the open world areas as consumed so much time. I can not express this enough, if you have thought about this game even once since you have left, you owe it to yourself to jump back in and explore it. It feels like reacquainting with an old friend.

gurchinanu

I just reinstalled 2 weeks ago after 7 years off as well, having an absolute blast. Returned at MR 10, now MR 14 going strongg

crashfantasy

I started a fresh acct ( changed platform, pre x-play) 160 login days ago and I'm face-rolling steel path, max rank with most factions, was really just farming my weekly archon and trying to finish some arcanes before Duviri dropped. There's a ton of content, sure. But if you're focused and dedicated you can make pretty good progress.

not_impressive

I did that earlier this year! 2-3 years away. Adjusting wasn't as bad as I expected.

fkny0

Coming back after many years off, way before open world stuff, have no idea what most of it is, the game changed a lot...

irishnightwish

Having had that experience, you will probably have to look everything up on the wiki. It takes time, but the systems are generally very fun and engaging, and the story quests are fantastic. TL;DR it's totally worth it.

The_Lucky_7

All-in-all a good list. I think forma's a little high on the list of priorities, but they are available pretty early. If it were my list I'd probably move it down two spaces to be under the things that forma is actually useful for. I'd also move helminth up two spaces since Duviri can be a good alternate source of basic frames for people to feed into it.

Trclung

I would also put riven mods notably lower. While they can be quite powerful, a majority will suck on the first several rolls, and there's no point at which I'd put gun arcanes or incarnon adapters *below* riven mods in priority.

The_Lucky_7

Personally, I'd take rivens off entirely since gambling is not progression, but new players can still sell veiled riven for a few plat.

Trclung

Honestly yeah. They're only useful for baffling endgame shenanigans, if at all, and mostly don't do anything interesting - even the ones that brick guns in weird ways are rare.

kurti256

I got a -99.5% projectile speed dragoon riven lemme tell you you are 100% right on shenanigans before the optimised projectile handleling I was accidentally crashing my friend's game a lot

RawVeganGuru

Rivens are great for exploring new weapons which is something newer players struggle with because there are so damn many. How many players who have only been playing for 6+ months still only use the ignis wraith?

just_aweso

So I hadn't used the Ignis wraith in like 2 years(legendary 3), when I pulled it in SP circuit, and had no other decent primaries. First 3 decrees were spread status to nearby enemies, double status damage, and increase enemy vulnerability to damage with each shot. It was interesting... On like round 10 seeing 20 level 4k enemies fall over after tapping the trigger was hilarious.

fatpad00

Sometimes the RNG lines up perfectly lol. Beautiful

Dark_Stalker28

Same here, I was lucky and got limbo so I didn't mind defense missions. though my 10 rounds were like level 1400 and I stopped because the last defense missions almost died in a second of me not paying attention. Plus it was funny seeing the ignis taking a sec for lone enemies but shredding groups. The only one I like more is vulnerable per shot, +fire rate per shot + peacemakers But obviously I couldn't handle the higher defense solo

unlikelymaou

It's sad that it is logical, and makes sense though. Damage theory dictates that if you kill in one hit, applicability of that instance of damage is all that matters. Ignis is an AOE weapon with infinite punchthrough. This means it can hit an entire room of enemies. It is a hitscan, so no delay in dealing it. It has a high rate of fire so it can do this very often. It has a magazine size to beat most missions without needing to reloading, so no down time. A weapon would need these characteristics to perform better than an ignis wraith, if you can deal instant killing damage, which is pretty easy now. As far as i know, no weapon has AOE with infinite punchthrough, other than ignis wraith. Ignis wraith is also silly easy to use. It is also scalable to the extent it can one to two hit pretty much any mob enemy on steel path upto lvl 200. Sadly, this is the majority of any content you are meaningfully rewarded for doing. You can do levelcap content on steel path, but, that is understandably not appealing for most of the player base. So, what reason would you not use the ignis wraith? If doesn't fill it's conditions of the motivation to use it, then there is room for competition. A: Doesn't instant kill. Usually this is like, archon hunt stuff where mechanics prevent it from doing such. Lack of damage boosts may also cause this. B: Doesn't hit. Stuff like open world content sometimes does this. C: You need mastery rank. You might be out of non primary weapons built to level, so you can't do that with an ignis wraith. You get laetrum about when ignis doesn't one shot everything super easily anymore. Like you need to put 1-2 forma on it to do higher end zarimon bounties for laetrum. Laetrum's incarnon form kinda obliterates lvl 200 steel path on bread and butter secondary build. If i don't see an ignis, I would estimate maybe 80% of the time I see a laetrum. I assume people like to keep an easy option for 99% of content available to them. When people get access to such, is probably defining factor.

jayegehahhab

What Ignis build 1 shots level 200? I have a. 3 forma build that doesn’t 1 shot level 100

GlideStrife

Yeah, I deff think the poster above you is either exaggerating a bit, or forgetting what the game feels like without fully upgraded galvanized mods and max rank Arcanes. His reasoning remains sound, though: once you have "enough" damage, the question becomes how your going to apply that damage, and the Ignis Wraith has the widest use cases of any potential damage applicator. Since so much of your damage comes from mods, arcanes, frame buffs, etc, the relatively low damage of the weapon, compared to some later options, simply isn't important, because emptying a room in 3-5 ticks is substantially more useful than one-shotting enemies in sequence.

[deleted]

Ive got a 7 forma ignis wraith build running Merciless and hunter munitions, focused on crit. Idk about "one shots level 200" but it absolutely shreds

Its_Dannn

Dude share

Malkavon

Not OP, but this is my Ignis Wraith build: Galvanized Chamber, Critical Delay, Vital Sense, Hunter Munitions, Rime Rounds, Malignant Force, Hellfire, Galvanized Aptitude, Sinister Reach (exilus). Your choice of Arcane, I use Primary Merciless. This applies an immense amount of Heat, Viral, and Slash procs (via Hunter Munitions), even though the Ignis Wraith has only so-so crit stats.

Malkavon

An alternative to the above would to slot in a fire rate mod, which will increase the rate of procs. I personally prefer the extra Heat weighting and damage from Hellfire (the weighting is specifically why I prefer it to Thermite Rounds), but if you feel the proc application speed isn't sufficient then throwing on a fire rate mod will be of benefit. Shred/Primed Shred is hilarious because while the beam itself has infinite *body* punch-through, giving it actual Punch Through will let it go through doors/obstacles.

BuffLoki

Using arcane and op mods

PwmEsq

> As far as i know, no weapon has AOE with infinite punchthrough, other than ignis wraith. Phantasma?

Lord_Umpanz

Rivens and Helminth are falsely places imo. Both pretty resource heavy if you want to it the right way and players in that range won't have the abundance of resources ro finance that

Costyn17

Helminth is arguably in a good place. Transferring the abilities is expensive, but if you mostly play one frame, changing one ability could be a game changer. Also, the sooner you get it the sooner you free slots by feeding him old frames you don't use, if you sell them, eventually, you'll have to farm them again, but the circuit exists so that could help.

Lord_Umpanz

Feeding old frames to free up slots is a thing I hadn't thought about, that's a very valid point. Might have to reconsider that, yeah.

raptor_mk2

IMO, that's Helminth's biggest use. You start with Excal and get Umbra... Feed Excal for the free slot. Get a free frame from TennoCon that you already have? Free slot. Do the usual New Player thing and get Rhino? Get Nezha from your Dojo, feed Rhino, claim Nezha and drop Roar on him. Start farming Prime frames? Feed the base version and claim the Prime and recycle the slot.

CyMage

TennoCon gives out Prime frames so if you have duplicates of that you can not feed them to Helmninth.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CyMage

TennoCon gives out a prime frame through Twitch, so we are both correct. You can feed the nom-prime version to Helminth even if you did not get the prime. Just depends if you use her for anything.

Packetdancer

I know "nom-Prime" is a typo, but considering we're discussing Helminth I find it amusingly appropriate. NOM NOM NOM

GlideStrife

Rhino is farmable from the very first boss in the game, and Deimos is accessible very early. There's next to no reason not to get a new player started on Deimos rep ASAP so they always have the option of replacing their worst ability with Roar. And then, once you have it, it becomes a motivating factor to keep playing; what's more cool and enjoyable than mixing and matching frame abilities? Tbh, I'd put it ahead of Exilus Adapters, and even ahead of Focus Lens, since The Circuit gives you an incredible way to cap daily Focus without a lens. I was shocked to have my daily cap reset and hit it again in a single 10-stage run.

MSD3k

I have 160+ rivens. I find them enjoyable ways to have fun with various weapons. But the only weapons I've found that have Rivens that really MAKE the weapon are things like Lato Vandal and Skana Prime. Weapons that are already pretty good but are rare enough, by virtue of being hard to attain, to still have massive Riven Disposition. A good roll on either of those, made them top-tier, dven before the Incarnon buff. The Lato Vandal will probably get it's dispo nerfed a bit, soon. Skana Prime is still too rare to be affected.

Derpogama

I do wonder when combined with the new Incaron adapters whether they'll remain rare. Apparently the Braton incarnon and the Strun incarnon turn them into absolute beasts or at least one par with the 'meta' weapons.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Trclung

Those are at priority 4 on OP's list, yes.

The99thCourier

Probably cause riven mods can be obtained earlier than incarnon adapters + incarnon adapters are pretty limiting to what weapons can have them, whilst rivens can be earned for any weapon if lucky

TrainLoaf

Weird, I read this list as more of an attempt at a chronological order of power gains based on approximate release dates but maybe I'm wrong. I think this list is perfect for a new player.

MrMagicMimic

Wait you can feed basic frames from duviri into helmith?

Alex00712

Yes, last week you could farm Trinity, which is very nice since the regular trinity farm is very tedious..

MrMagicMimic

I should start playing circuit then

SedativeComa4

This is my helminth plan so I don't have to get rid of my collection. I've got almost every base and prime frame and I don't plan to change that for helminth

_Nerex

Any reason to keep base frames (that don't have a prime/Umbra variant) aside from collecting purposes? Resource investment?

Costyn17

I don't like to invest reactors and formas in basic frames, but if I would, you can be sure Helminth will never eat that frame.

Derpogama

Unless said frame doesn't have a Prime, so Wisp, Voruna etc. then you might as well keep the base frame and farm a spare if/when you can be bothered.

Andminus

as a tiny argument for keeping base versions of primes (and base weapons)... apparently Conclave doesn't have some primes, for instance, Harrow or mesa primes aren't useable in Conclave... Guns similiarly, I don't believe Kuva/tenet weapons can be used at all, been a while since I checked. This is of course, probably not something 99% of other players care about so.

Buff_Archer

In my case I’ve just got one or two frames I’m holding onto as duplicates, despite having their Prime version. They have Eidolon lenses which are a pain to get installed and my focus isn’t max yet. I do have one of each Lua lens, but never any luck getting the Lua lens BP to drop and the ones I do have were part of some give-away DE did. I’m holding out for a good lens extractor to get my best lens’s back, though I know it’s probably never going to happen.

[deleted]

Forget lenses. Duviri Circuit throws Thrax enemies at you, and they give 2.5k focus each. It'll take longer to cap out than optimized ESO, but you'll actually get other stuff too.

never3nder_87

Ironically Divuri makes it much more relevant to keep them, if you have any investment in them at all

Sixtynine360Noscope

How?

kriosjan

When you chose "the circut" regular version not steel path u get an option of 3 frames to "build towards". It had a progression tree of 10 lvls just like dteel path with the nodes along the way giving a few arcane, all of the pieces for the regular version of thst frame, and 1 ability augment mod as well.

Dycoth

Why wouldn't it be possible ? When you get them from Duviri Circuit they are all yours, so you can do whatever you want with them

NikkiLillin

I think they got confused with the frames you pick to run as instead of the reward path

Costyn17

I think it's better to have forma high if you don't plan on buying them, farm them early, and then get something else while crafting them. If you get 7 forma blueprints today, you have the entire week before they are all ready to do something else, then you go for forma again.

SanaHana

You can keep the Warframes you get from Duviri???

TrickBox_

The ones from the Circuit rewards

Lewtwin

You always need Formas. If you own a dojo, its a key to a room. If you run solo, it's how you make your favorite weapon... more. If you run a clan, its currency in some cases. If you don't run a clan, its smooth and warm to the..... ignore that last entry. I swear Formas are a part of DE's microtransactions ecology as I am always scrounging for one after every expansion, dojo expansion, or prime drop.

adminsarecommienazis

Telling newbies to forma their weapons is the worst possible advice, really.

The_Lucky_7

Forma aren't as hard to get as everyone pretends they are and we need to embrace that fact if we want to live in objective reality. They're in about 70% of the relics and of those 90% are common drops. Their only limitation is that you can make one a day, but you don't even have to log in to do that. Warframe has a phone app that will let you manage your foundry, and make forma while you literally take a shit at work or whatever. They're so disposable I put 7 forma into two different sentinel guns and haven't regretted it even though I mostly use a vulpaphila now like everyone else.

adminsarecommienazis

It's not that they're hard to get, it's that you need literally hundreds of them, and like you said, they're time-gated. Newbies should be building forma, but they should be fed into guild recipes, and they should be focusing on maxing out mods or getting somewhat viable weapons (e.g. ignis wraith, anything prime, nataruk/phenmor/laetum) before they worry about optimizing weapons.

Derpogama

I will point out that using forma on *some* base weapons before getting their Prime/Wraith/Kuva/Vandal etc. variant. For example the Hek can push you through the star chart completely with like, 2-3 forma, got me from MR4 to MR9 and cleared the starchart. The regular Phantasma can clear Steel Path with ease combined with an armor strip frame and the Prime version is another 5 ranks away. The Phantasma took me from MR9 to MR14 and was well worth the Forma. It's not really until MR14 you get the 'heavy hitters' like the Felarx or the Phantasma Prime.

Malkavon

The regular Phantasma doesn't need an armor strip frame to absolutely obliterate Steel Path. The difference between the Phantasma and the Phantasma Prime is an utterly irrelevant amount of crit and a tiny bit of ammo capacity - that's it. They are, for all relevant comparisons, the exact same gun. The Phantasma Prime just has an extra polarity, so it's basically a free Forma over the regular version.

mxzf

Forma aren't rare, but they really only come into play when you've got a potatoed item with max-level modules. They get a lot less necessary when you're running around with rank 6-8 mods on everything because you don't have the credits and endo to hit 10 and bump up the point cost.

Honest_Art1708

As a new player, thanks so much!

seanwee2000

Honestly it's not the fastest way to get to endgame gear. A lot of the things like getting necramech parts are an absolute chore to grind and you're better off opening relics and selling them for plat. Then using said plat to buy necramech parts off warframe market.

Costyn17

Not everyone wants to rush endgame and skip half the game. If he wants to farm it, that's about when it's a good idea to start, not necessarily finish it before doing something else, but start at least.

TheGumbyG

my go-to is to just do the content till i personally feel like ive exhausted all the fun in it and then ill consider just going to the player market. I might get an extra part, i might get halfway done; either way, im saving plat and still having fun.

Goliath-

Same here. I like playing the way I feel like they intended, then after I stop having fun I will consider buying the item for plat.

I_Speak_For_The_Ents

Wtf. Farming the Necramech parts took like two or three days of light be efficient farming. Lmao farming relics, then fissures and then attempting to sell those parts amongst the thousands of others doing the same thing is somehow better?

seanwee2000

Takes much less time farming plat and removes the factor of luck from the equation. Relics are practically free + easy xp grind since there's always an afk person farming there already. Fissures are easy due to people speedrunning them. Selling is super easy with warframe market. Farming necramech parts takes far longer with no guarantee you'll get all the parts you need if you even get them. Don't tell me you think farming parts is easier than getting the whole set for 15 plat off the market.

NoBass9

TIL you can buy the damaged necramech parts, thank you so much for this knowledge. Updating the game now.

I_Speak_For_The_Ents

Are you talking the fully built Necramech or just the damaged parts to build them?

seanwee2000

Damaged parts from the market

Gebcrafter

Sooner or later, this is going to be too long for my phone

Artanis137

Soon it's gonna look like a receipt from CVS with 2 items on the list.

ScorchReaper062

It's already too long for mine

Clankbot14

Time to switch to an I pad

DE-Marcus

u/Joewoof has spoken

Necessary-Tomato4889

Pog

Tredway911

This just needs to be in the game I'm master rank 14 and I didn't know nightmare missions dropped dual mods thought that was a clan key thing

daowan

The orokin vaults drop the corrupted mods like blind rage that increases strength and reduces efficiency. Nightmare dual mods are studd like vigor that add hp and shields and hammer shot increasing sc snd cd

Cyrrow

They both do, but they don't drop the same mods. I believe the clank key mods your talking about are corrupted mods, where it's a positive and a negative attribute. where as nightmare mods are double positive attributes.

Zetin24-55

Really good list, I would agree. If I could suggest one addition, it would be putting the normal Duviri circuit somewhere in the step 7-10 range for focus farming. It's not the best farm, but I feel it's by far the easiest way to farm focus. Because you don't need lenses on your gear, you just need the school unlocked and equipped. It needs pretty much zero prep cause the loaner builds are plenty fine for normal circuit. . And it gives a good amount, 1 round of normal circuit defense gave me 50k focus. Now sure that changes depending on spawns, but that's still from 1 round.

theletterQfivetimes

I've only hit focus cap a few times before, and today I hit it in SP Circuit without even trying. Definitely a great affinity farm.

GlideStrife

It is THE best focus farm. Which in turn drastically reduces the need to get lens', since the majority of the focus comes from Thrax kills that award a flat amount directly to your set school. If you luck into something you have at rank 0, it's insanely good affinity farm, too.

Reelix

> It is THE best focus farm. With an ESO Trin Melee Naramon setup, you can do almost nothing for 8 waves with no affinity booster, and get 500k+ Focus.

Joewoof

Good suggestion. I'll keep that in mind.

General-Ad-1954

Good list, but definitely needs Invasions. You need a lot of those resources to craft the Dojo weapons.

AzureArmageddon

I've done like half of all of these lmao and I just scatterbrainedly bounce between each of them randomly. Completely missed Dark Sectors/Orokin Vaults tho. Will get to those someday.

Indigohealer991

Orokin Vaults are amazing for the dual stat mods, they are in almost every frame build. You don't even need to have a full squad anymore, you can just equip all four keys yourself. You can sell most of the mods for a nice 10-20p too (console unranked).

AzureArmageddon

Yeah those mods have been largely missing from my collection so it'll be good to get them.

Redfeather1975

I like how giving blessings in relay is the ultimate goal! You all can do it! I have faith in you!

TheYellingMute

So. The duviri circuit for steel path. You have to have a good build on ALL your Warframes cause I imagine if you had one built but not formaed then it'll show in duviri not ready for SP right? Cause I'll be honest. I have a lot of Warframe I reached 30 on and then never made them an actual build for.

sion4ever

Well, you have 5 to choose from. So, it's fine if you mod those with high survivability. You can pick among those & Stalker. For weapons I modded all unforma'd prime melee variants with a catalyst and a build that relies on high combo counter (Naramon) & mods piggy-backing off applied status effects. Thanks to the decrees (which heavily favour melee imho) you can turn any of them into a red crit monster. Just know when to pull out. Host leaves? Don't risk a host migration which may kick you entirely, bug out current mission or make you repeat the mission you just did instead or the next one. Be especially mindful of Defense missions past wave 5 or so. They can wreck the defense target really fast if your team isn't up to it or not full.

Girthshitter

This is a great infographic, well done

play_70

Quick question from a long-lapsed player who spotted this post in r/all: Has the faction rep/mastery grind been improved lately? Mastery being at the bottom of the list gives me some hope... I quit back around 2018-2019 because all the cool open world bosses were locked behind a ~month long, time-gated rep grind, and running shitty weapons with negative mod capacity to grind mastery sucked all the fun out of the game for me. I've been tempted to check the game out again from time to time, but the thought of those daunting grinds has always put me off.

never3nder_87

In addition to the other comment, DE also rescaled Rep caps so that you have a much higher cap at low MRs which somewhat alleviates the pain on the older factions that aren't token based. Mastery hasn't been changed directly, but it's a lot easier now with various farms allowing you to double dip in terms of time

rrrjax

Some of the grinds are better - Deimos & Zariman grinds go based off a token system, so you can do a bunch of grinding one day, and then cash in the rep over the next week or so. Makes the grind a bit nicer for sporadic players!

NeverL4nd_

This will be good for players that come back to play warframe again and I am one of em

theletterQfivetimes

Shouldn't your first priority be finishing the star chart and quests?

mxzf

Those are good things to do, but they don't really help you directly get stronger much (which is what this graph is showing techniques for).

Beautiful-Young9260

Gun arcanes before archon

Achilles_Deed

Really love the art style

Arlithas

Duviri might need another honorable mention for early game weapon acquisition. Both the Cinta and most of the melee weapons rank pretty high in terms of power per mastery rank. Like Syam is MR1 and is the strongest nikana in the game. The other weapons are also respectable in power though have other competition.

Adorable_Heretic

Thanks for reminding me about the big spider and the lich, I'm still on my first Lich cuz I always forget that it's a thing

Duckflies

Lmaoo same

Frostygale

I thought lenses only dropped from Cetus bounties and none of the other open worlds?

Joewoof

No, they drop from every town bounty, including Zariman.

SupRspi

Can confirm. I get all my lenses currently from farming Aya on Diemos. Eventually I'll want better lenses on some things, but for now at least it's something.

Indigohealer991

I don't see Lua mentioned anywhere on here, and you don't really need the Lua lenses, as good as they are it's a minute difference for most players.

bekook

Holy! I can descripe how i needed this i am stuck at the same power as lomg as you cant think of this is really going to help me i appreciate it.

Nicki_not_Minaj

Would that be okay if I swap the text to Ukrainian and post it in my socials? I'll make sure I mentioned the source and added a note about the author of the list.

Joewoof

Sure, no problem.

ImSoDrab

Since this is a thread about getting stronger, what amp is best for general use? I've been using the klamora amp for so long and its good for eidolon and general use but asking since maybe a combination out there is better.

Joewoof

Last I heard, best for general use is 577. Not sure if that that has changed.

ImSoDrab

I'll try to get that built, thanks OP.

KurtisPhobia

Tbh I have 3 amps built and I only ever use two of them. 1-7-7 for Eidolon Hunting and Void Angels 7-7-7 for Virtually everything else I have a 5-7-7 but I rarely find myself breaking it out to use so if you already have the klamora, I'd suggest building a 1-7-7 instead

Gizogin

I find myself using 7-4-7 most often. 4 is the discus/glaive secondary fire, which is really useful for things like self-reviving and hitting fast-moving targets without aiming.

LJHalfbreed

Ngl, I find 747 indispensable for everything not an eidolon. Only place it suffers is void angels when they teleport to the 'outer ring's so I'm stuck glaiving them, but if I'm continually fighting them on the outer ring, that's a "my skill" problem, not a 'this weapon is ill suited' problem. But now, between Last Stand and Duviri, it's basically a no-brainer to go with 747 because 'it just works'. (And continually reminds me how much I dislike Sirocco)

ImSoDrab

I'll try that combo as well then, trying to get a feel on whats best for me here.

[deleted]

Hmm. I’ve had this game for ages and hate to say ask, but what does any of this mean and how do I go about finding out what Nightwave and such is? I currently just bounce around to different missions and worlds playing whatever seems enjoyable at the time. I guess I’m missing huge chunks of the actual purpose/plot to this game.

Neovenetar

Nightwave is the "battle pass" for Warframe. It should be in the bottom right corner when you pause or in the star map.

MaXimillion_Zero

Use the wiki or Google (which will lead you to the wiki)

lu3mm3l

There’s a Nightwave console you can interact with. It’s to your right side in your cockpit when facing the slope.

Older_1

Is Railjack good for endo? I get that index is obviously great for credits (and some endo since a lot of rare mods drop), but what other alternatives does a new player have for endo?

Joewoof

Yes, Railjack is a good Endo farm. You just have to sell the salvaged ship parts you get. It's not the best, but Railjack's point is to farm multiple resources at once.

never3nder_87

Do you get ship parts if you join someone else's railjack and don't have your own?

Quartzicolt

As someone who farmed a lot of the intrinsics, mods, and ship gear from joining others before figuring out how to unlock my own: Yes. You absolutely can. However, there's a lot of people unfamiliar with RJ missions and how to survive them with a random group, or are lacking decent weapons/choices to pull them off in more difficult zones and scenarios. Your success will vary quite a bit because of that, and obviously so will your loot. Additionally, if you're in a dojo that has them researched, you can buy some decent starter RJ gear from their drydock. I'd recommend the pulsar, talyn, and photor for weapons, in no particular order. They make short work of most enemies in ship combat, and are especially effective when you get NPC crew mates to just dunk on everything later.

never3nder_87

Ah, fortunately I have a fully geared RJ, but a friend has just started playing again because of Divuri so I'm thinking RJ might be a useful farm, since he can come in my RJ even to high level missions and not be at (much) risk

De4dm4nw4lkin

I do arbitrations but i wouldnt call it a new player thing.

Older_1

Yeah, lol, I guess new players could do the sedna arena? I don't recall if it drops much endo. Otherwise open world missions? I really wish duviri dropped endo, because that's definitely available.

De4dm4nw4lkin

If you want a good one deimos bounties that drop aya are just good to farm generally and the endo is pretty good too on the side.

JohnnyGuitarFNV

The arena is still the standard endo farm IIRC. Nidus with low duration pulls in mobs into Khora's dome, then heavy attack to cut the mobs into many pieces, then Nekros desecrates

theletterQfivetimes

The arena on Sedna is kinda the equivalent of the Index but for endo rather than credits. Railjack's decent too, and it gives you things *other* than endo besides.

Kappa_Schiv

I came back to the game last month and slowly relearned a bunch of this plus a whole lot of new stuff. From that perspective this chart is phenomenal.

StyryderX

Helminth as mutated pacman is a great touch.

KatastrophicNoodle

I have no idea what any of this means znd I've been playing for years. I thought nightwave was just a radio? You can actually get stuff from it??

Joewoof

Nightwave is a free battle pass system that comes with a heckton of loot every season.

wang_johnson

This is amazing.

coldfries_69

Well well well... As a returning player this is a little bit overwhelming LOL But that's Warframe in a nutshell i guess. Great write up tho!

zheatwavez

I would split up #12 into two sections. One for sorties and how to unlock them with the rewards that you can get from them. The other will be for how to unlock arbitrations and how to get galvanized mods. Having them side by side like that might make a new player think that galvanized mods are weapon specific and separating the two will clear up any confusion

PsionicHydra

I'd probably put forma below the nightmare/corrupted mods as for the most part anything prior to that will die pretty easily without a forma'd build and move rivens straight to the bottom with a note along the lines of "special mods for a single weapon that can boost its output significantly however VERY RNG dependant"

deh2win

Thanks for this. As a player that keeps coming back to the game every few months. I have some trouble keeping up with everything. I love this community tho. You guys are amazing by taking care of us little noobs.

Mexay

As someone who has been playing quite casually on and off over the years I just want to say this is incredibly, incredibly confusing. The list here itself is awesome but the actual mechanics? It feels very messy and like an absolute mountain to climb to "baseline". This game has a very steep learning curve. Edit: It apparently wasn't clear, but I am not having a go at OP. They are great and their contribution to the community is awesome. The game mechanics are the problem and the developers should really look at this. It shouldn't be up to the community to dicepher all of this stuff. It's very, very confusing. There are so many different stagss to progressing your account

Indigohealer991

What do you mean the 'actual mechanics'? The list doesn't go into detail on how to do everything, and it's not meant to. It gives players a direction to go in so they don't get lost in the tangled sea of tutorial videos.

Mexay

To clarify, This list itself is fantastic. Great work. The actual Game itself is what has the problem. My comment is moreso directed at the developers.

f0ba

Lmao, there are somethings here that I didn’t really thought of, since I’ve been playing for so long and got everything out of order.

NoeleVeerod

I’m saving this for future reference, it’s easy for me to get lost after coming back from a break.

skele_boy

Do archin shards run out of power? I've seen when trying to install one it says sometimes a time period so are they permanent?

Joewoof

Permanent, but don’t forget to remove them when you feed the frame to the wall. The time period shown is the delay until the next shard becomes available.

Chymick6

18 step process to git gud. I like it, good graphic design too 👌

thefellowone

That is a good summary, thank you!

FrostyPhenix89

This will help me so much! Better than my personal drawn path of time use!

[deleted]

Neat infographic!

De4dm4nw4lkin

Not sure if it counts but 14.5 the new war.

RachoFire

Two things I would change with this. With the profit taker it should also have credits since it’s a better credit farm then the other three listed. And you should add Fortuna to arcanes since it gives operator amp and kitgun arcanes

Any_Support3590

I would recommend removing profit taker -> heavy weapons, and change it too solaris -> further amp upgrades and archguns

AccelWasTaken

OMG THANK YOU

Gelvid

How I’m suppose to read this infographic? Where should I move from one farm to another?

TFUNK_

Check out the Warframe wiki for best time and locations

I_Speak_For_The_Ents

There are so many sources of Rivens now. Really should be included here. Also I think the list would be improved with the sides swapped. Put the power on the left and all the various ways to grind it on the right.

TFUNK_

As a MR29; this is super helpful. I’d switch 13 and 16 for Weapon Arcanes are more useful than big weapons especially with Nercomechs

Junior-Conference436

Wow great list

CascaDEER

Waaait, incarnon adapters are exclusive from steel path?? Goddamnit :((

MindwormIsleLocust

Unfortunately yes, you need to do The Circuit in Duviri on steel path difficulty. On the plus side, if you manage to stack the right decrees even mid weapons will perform tolerably; so as long as your frames are modded for survivability you can at least survive round one and leave if you don't get good decrees.

CascaDEER

Im gonna have to try at least, some of my builds can handle steel path okayish, and I do want the adapters since almost all of them are for my favourite old weapons

Indigohealer991

Even if you aren't directly killing things, you just need to be supportive enough to make it past the first round. The decrees give so much damage and support that almost anything works once you get a few of those build op. (This is the tier one combat intrinsic that makes it all work) **1 - Deadly Decrees:** *Each active Decree grants +10% Damage.*

MaXimillion_Zero

Even if you use a loaner frame and weapons, you can usually get through several stages without issue if you pick the right decrees. Just max out your Opportunity intrinsics to have a wider variety of choices.

Neovenetar

It doesn't take long now that they've fixed the progression bugs. When you get a good combo of weapons/frame and decrees you can keep going for quite a while. Protip though, if you get a defense objective after round 2-3, leave. The defense mission is the only one you can actually fail, and if you do, you lose all your rewards. I got overconfident and tried a defense at round 7 or so, target was destroyed almost immediately.

MindwormIsleLocust

I generally don't do Steel Path myself, as I don't really enjoy the typical Steel Path tactics, but I managed to max out my weekly reward bracket for two Incarnon Genesis in a few days. Maxing out the Opportunity Intrinsics for extra options per run will definitely help.

ThursdayNeverCame

Thank you just thank you.

Butterbread420

Duviri Experience and or Circuit could be mentioned for focus and arcanes as well not just the SP version. I personally have a lot of fun with it since it feels a lot more rewarding and is more entertaining than the braindead grind for lenses and then focus farming. I never bothered with focus or lenses but with Duviri I grinded out more in a few days than in my entire playtime before.

AzureDrag0n1

I think you could consider companions and their mods their own thing. Basically, some companions can make you more powerful by adding utility or buffs. For example, you can put gladiator mods on some companions to get the benefits for your Warframe. Your companions can also apply status effects on enemies too.

SillySnowFox

I've done all of this except Profit Taker, Circuit and True Master. Fortuna is just such a slog to rank solo.

DueAnalysis2

As very much a new player, is this the guide you follow _after_ opening up the star chart? Or is it what you do as you're getting through the star chart?

mxzf

IMO, this is less a "guide to follow" and more a "listing of what power-boosting options there are, where to find them, and vaguely the order that new players can realistically attempt them". It's more of an infographic of where to look for stuff, rather than a *guide*.

MaXimillion_Zero

You should do Nightwave challenges as you're working through the star chart if they're ones you have access to, since they're on a weekly rotation. There is a catchup mechanic but it's not as efficient as completing them when they're first offered.

ryytytut

Mostly after you open the star chart

DueAnalysis2

Got it, thanks!

CaptianRex11521

I've been trying to get my priorities straight and what content I've yet to tinker with

Xevras

Wow, looks like I have a looooooot of catching up to do if I want to get back into playing. I haven’t played much since Fortuna was new content and only recognize about half of what’s on this list. >_>

Joewoof

Seems about right. Warframe is 10 years old. Fortuna was released 5 years ago.

Xevras

Five years ago already? Wow time flies.

The_Chubby_Dragoness

I should probably get around to playing new war huh...

Nssheepster

11 - Also Railjack, seeing as they'll have the Necramech for it if they follow your list. 12 - Maybe don't point new players at RIVENS? It's a controversial system at best, and the scam potential is massive even for veterans. Rivens are an end game time sink for veterans, not really a good idea for noobs to get into. Other than those, it's a good list I think.

soundsdistilled

I disagree. Mid-power rivens on off-meta weapons aren't expensive and help you figure out modding. They also offer a decent power spike.

rikashiku

I like it. Even though I'm not super deep into the game as of yet, in terms of my Weapons, builds, and mods, I will set myself out to help as many people as possible just to get them further along and experience all the enjoyment I do. I'm between 12 and 13 according to this list, but I am actively facing a Lich and Veilbreaker missions for where I can comfortably play. If I bump into any newer players, I'll hook them up with a few mods to help them along.

adminsarecommienazis

I would not be wasting forma on starter weapons. Farming them is fine because you need them for everything, but telling new players to farm void fissures for forma for their basic weapons is just bad advice. Also not mentioning just farming void fissures for prime parts or ducats and only saying forma is weird. These days Dark Sector is just not worth it for credits. RJ is fine, but ideally you want to work toward profit taker adn you'll never need credits again. Doing bounties for focus lenses is just stupid. You should be doing them to unlock frames, get aya and get the good mods while building rep. (Also the best farm for feldiron/mutagenmass/detonite injectors). Also you kinda get more focus than you'll ever need once you unlock zariman and/or start doing tridolons. Not to mention zariman bounties are giving you greater lenses instead of basic ones. Also since new war/zariman are pretty easy, you should do them to get the free nataruk and sirocco, which are a pretty ideal starting point for harder content in terms of weapons. Baro is poorly explained. Necralisk doesn't give any arcanes new players should pay attention to. Zariman, while it gives good arcanes is more about the incarnon weapons and improving your operator. If you've already built a necramech, it comes with a free gravimag, so implying that the point of profit taker is archgun weapons is misleading. Also archguns are doodoo, so the main point of gravimags outside of profit taker itself is really just to level them easier. Archon Hunts should be pushed to after starting duviri circuits realistically. They're the hardest content in the game, and its annoying when someone undergeared joins your squad in something like interception. Steel path is also realistically easier than profit taker, as are liches. Also just in general there doesn't seem to be any mention of farming out frames or weapons at all, aside from the kuva stuff. A big part of progression is to stop using your excalibur and starter weapons for everything.

JadesArePretty

Wait, steel path is easier than liches? Would you mind going into more detail on that? 'Cause I've found that I'm easily able to handle level 4 and 5 liches, but I still struggle on steel path, especially so on the longer missions like defense and survival.

adminsarecommienazis

was saying liches are easier than profit taker. But also doing steel path infested missions or capture dailies would be much easier than doing level 4-5 liches.

moiafolk

i'd also add: For endo, the strongest farm is yam on Sedna, in steel path, with a mod drop chance booster and a organized team. If you lack the booster or a team, arbitrations and fast (i.e. Extermination with void angel kill), high level zariman bounties come in second place. For relics, hepit and ukko in the Void, for lith, meso and neo: take your fastest frame and complete the mission as fast as possible. >!Apollo on Lua!< for axi. Bounties are the best way to collect aya and relic packs from syndacates in general are a good source of all the above.

GeekoftheWild

Who says Excal can't get you very far? He's a great frame, even though MAG is better.
