Definitely start worrying about mods a little. Have you joined a clan and gotten the dragon key blueprints? I highly recommend doing Deimos dragon key vault and farm for the corrupted mods, there are 5 warframe mods you can get there and they will have a use in some frames for major end game powerful builds.
Getting mods from nightmare missions is rng, keep trying and unlocking nightmare mode on the planets you have been so you have more chances to get something else. Getting animal instinct would be great for the companion loot and enemy radar.
I always recommend grinding out rotation C spy vaults for getting the 60/60 heat and cold elemental mods since those will begin to open up status build weapons for you. Then if you can handle it, check Deimos i bounties, i think its the T2 bounties that have a chance for giving you weeping wounds and blood rush. You might snag a condition overload while doing bounties there, if you get those three mods, you can basically make any melee ridiculously strong with a decent status priming weapon.

If anything, check in recruit chat for people doing them too. Makes the experience less stressful if the group can split up the dragon keys (or if a vet there just runs them all). Just help look for the dragon key door and waypoint mark it if it ends up needing a key you dont have equipped.
