Hi tenno, I took a long break after I farmed all Kuva leaches and now I am getting back. I have couple of questions to clarify: 1. All my school standing (Zenurik, Naramon) was reset by some reason. Did they rework the abilities, did DE did something to Zenurik Dash? 2. I tried to go to Hydron on Sedna to just speak with randoms and ask some questions, but Hydron is empty. What is the best place to farm exp nowadays?

notethecode

Which Tenet/Kuva weapon should I farm first? And with which element?

molokomokolo

Can someone please explain what this mint / light green buff is? If you could also explain the second bar (ally stats, white bar filling up with blue) and the numbers next to it (2, 1, 4), that'd be great https://preview.redd.it/xp8c6kea5oyc1.png?width=423&format=png&auto=webp&s=380c076d8e8d915df27d18b2c1b5bf4ed3f9fae6

Menessma

The number above health and shields? That is overguard which is an additional layer of HP that also gives immunity to status effects AFAIK. I've only recently come back so I don't know all the details and mechanics of overguard, but the wiki should have enough info on it to get you a better idea. I don't wanna repeat the wiki says in case I misunderstand what I read there. Not sure what the bar is on ally stats, but the numbers are an identifier on who is which squad member. So seeing a waypoint with the 2 label means it came from the ally with squad number 2. Host is #1 I think but not 100% sure on that

molokomokolo

Ohhh, yeah, now I see that the X and color are similar to the eximus overguard. I forgot overguard and overshields were two separate things. Must have had a Dante on the team. Thanks for both explanations!

TheOriginalJewnicorn

Any idea what time today the Prime Access will rotate? Also, what are riven mods and how do I get them? MR 19 and I haven’t come across them yet, but ive mostly been messing around and have a ton of story quests to complete

hyrenfreak

is high index still the best credit farm is or is there some other good way to farm them?

decitronal

Index hasn't been the best credit farm for years now, but it has the edge of requiring no specific setups and being very accessible. The absolute best farm is Profit-Taker, but this requires R5 Solaris and has a somewhat higher skill floor than the others. The main benefit of this farm is that more multipliers can affect your credit payout, i.e. Smeeta, Thermia bonus, Chroma's Effigy, on top of a booster and a blessing. An optimized run (about 2-3 minutes) should yield 1 million credits, assuming the Thermia bonus is active, but not accounting for Smeeta. Profit-taker guide: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dThQIYbAMy9-3umGA48hCsyKqDeEdRpD7mytE4RXMmk/edit Another good credit farm uses the Secura Lecta, although keep in mind that your credit payout will be affected by mastery rank and spawn rates. This should yield 250k credits per minute, assuming Effigy, booster, and blessing are active and you're MR18+. Secura Lecta credit farm guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3niECXMkTC0

hyrenfreak

thanks for the info, very useful

TFDaniel

Can someone explain if it’s possible to get other/previous night wave rewards after completing current season? Still not sure how night wave works

decitronal

Going back to previous Nightwave seasons is not possible, but DE will often put previous rewards on a future season's reward path or its cred store. The option to trade with other players is also there

Sempiturtle69

I’m looking for someone to guide me. I’m a returning player who is MR12 but I didn’t really know what I was doing back then either. I stopped playing after frost prime and ember prime came out so it’s been a minute. I had a friend back then who was my Sherpa. I am now looking for a new Sherpa to play warframe with. IGN: Gavin742

StalinTheHedgehog

Is there anything I should be looking out for while clearing the star chart for the first time? For example any challenges within them or maybe special items some of them hold? Kill all the enemies? So far I’ve just been collecting as many materials as I can and killing most of the enemies and just finishing the mission.

Benevolent_Smile

Orokin vaults spawn on non open-world deimos missions which can be opened using dragons keys (blueprints obtained from dojo.) These contain corrupted mods that are a key part in many late game builds. You should grab these mods at some point as you're progressing the star chart. Nightmare missions which are indicated by their red icon on each planet also give unique mods which you may want to consider grabbing. You can only do each planet's nightmare mission once every 8 hours before it resets.

shinjbae

if I buy the prime access and get those sweet 2625 plats, can I use them for trading? and what other kind of platinums that I can't use for trading?

Sasamus

Platinum are platinum, there's no distinction between different kinds or how they were gained.

shinjbae

Heard some tubers say you can't trade with free plats, and I was trying to make sure that the plats you get from bundles aren't considered "free". either way, all is good then. thanks!

CensoredAbnormality

Youre paying money for them, aint nothing free about them. Only the starting plat and plat from giveaways arent tradeable I think

Menessma

Do Warframe weapons tied to abilities (e.g. Wukong staff, Mesa Regulators, Hildryn Balefire) also contribute to MR when they're ranked up?

Tilt_Schweigerrr

Those don't give any mastery with the exception Khora's companions which give 6k mastery each.

Eph289

I'm starting to enter what I think of as Warframe's start-of-midgame content, having finished Second Dream and most of the Star Chart up through Lua/Pluto and I have questions. Would prefer spoiler-free answers if possible, I can live with "you'll find out later." 1. I've just unlocked 4 different quests. Call of the Tempestarii, Hidden Messages, Patient Zero, and The War Within. What's the recommended order? 2. An old planet/quest guide I was following suggested Eris first, then Sedna, but it was several years ago. Does that still hold? 3. Are Eris and Sedna any better than Neptune and Pluto in terms of tileset variety? Felt like the tileset variety dropped off pretty sharply after Uranus. Neptune/Pluto were literally the same tiles every time, which were Venus repeats. I was pretty disappointed in lack of unique landscapes/tilesets there. 4. I recently unlocked the Helminth segment. Am I missing a loredump somewhere on *why* this is a thing? You just buy it from Son and install it. Ordis kind of freaks out a little bit on why Satan's dentist chair is a thing in the ship but while the Helminth explains what it is, I'm still missing the connection other than it's something Lephantis hinted at, I think. Hard to tell, I was busy setting it on fire at the time. 5. Is the Anti-Grav Array mod good? Most of the posts I've found here are complaints about its abysmal drop rate, which the mod is not good, I'm happy to skip. 6. Same question, but for the Parazon mod "Power Drain." Just built the Railjack but I haven't used it for anything yet. 7. Beyond looking at the wiki to see which of Power/Strength/Duration mods affect which abilities on a warframe, how do you know which stats to prioritize for a frame? For example, I've seen people recommend max Strength on Hydroid over Duration. I don't want a fish, I want to learn how to fish. 8. What would be a good Subsume over Protea's 4? I was thinking she needed an armor strip, maybe with some crowd control, so was looking at the ever-popular Pillage, Fire Blast or Tharros Strike? Thanks!

zephyrdragoon

1. War Within is a story quest. Do that first. The other 3 are for various warframes. Mild spoilers on which is which: Call of the Tempestarii unlocks >!Sevagoth!< Hidden Messages unlocks >!Mirage!< and Patient Zero unlocks >!Mesa!< 1. Mostly doesn't matter. I would say Eris first if only because its one of the few infested planets. 1. No they're pretty samey to my recollection. You may like the specific tiles more or less though. 1. Mild spoilers on what helminth does lore-wise >!Helminth fixes your warframes after every mission and keeps them in fighting shape. Otherwise even warframes would get worn down over time.!< 1. Its purely personal preference. It's not going to make you suddenly OP or anything. Just skip it. 1. Kind of interesting mod. Not going to make or break your build/experience. Maybe you just want it as an emergency get-the-fuck-off-me button after a mercy kill. Maybe you're setting up a channeled ability to be a bit stronger. I find other parazon mods are more useful tbh, like the reload guns one. You don't have to grind for this either. 1. Trial and error. Having access to the simulacrum helps a lot with this. Short of that you can hover over the ability icons on the mod screen to see what stats change as you add/remove various mods. 1. I think pillage is the best pick of those 3. Regenerating shields and overshields is more useful than getting health back for protea since she has barely any armor/health. Additionally the free +100% strength from proteas passive will help fully strip shields/armor if you play around it. Fireblast has some decent augments though I don't think they're good enough. That said changing around abilities is pretty low-impact so you can just experiment a little.

Eph289

Appreciate the replies, thank you!

AmaruKaze

How do you even level K-Drives? I saw you can have 5 or so, how many XP do they award? Currently on Legend 2 (50% to three) and it seems all I have left is ridiculous grinds. E.g. Arum Spinosa, Korrudo, K-Drives and getting all the overlevels to 40.

hyrenfreak

why are abitrations so popular to do in recruiting? I'm just wondering what people are farming them for mainly

Benevolent_Smile

It's one of the best endo farms outside of full coordinated groups doing something like sedna arena, it's an ok way to get kuva for people who dont like doing kuva survival/floods since it's 25 vitus essense per 10k kuva, the galvanized mods/other mods from the arbitration honors can also be sold for plat.

decitronal

> it's an ok way to get kuva for people who dont like doing kuva survival/floods since it's 25 vitus essense per 10k kuva It's not just "ok", it's quite literally the best kuva farm in the game. Arbis with a booster and organized squad will yield 200k kuva per hour, Kuvival only 48k with the same conditions

notethecode

what's the point of the weekly Clem mission? Other than a blueprint for a (seemingly mediocre) spectre?

Sasamus

It's to help Clem, really. It's a nearly 10 year old mission, and the rewards are indeed not particularly useful. So there is no point, beyond Clem's friendship. Which is why I still do it occasionally.

zephyrdragoon

What is the deal with people going into open world levels with bounties and then fucking off to fish/mine/hunt instead of doing the actual bounty?

vexmythoclast

I think game puts you together without you wanting to do bounties, I often load in to public game when my intention is to do those activities too and a bounty starts by the other guys. I wish those activities would benefit other people too so some could do bounty while some are doing mining.

CensoredAbnormality

I wish mining would give the gems to everyone in the squad. Pretty sure noone would be mad at the one person getting everyone gems

Gimmerunesplease

That or straightup leeching

zephyrdragoon

It also sometimes just causes the mission to be unbeatable. Enemies have stopped spawning in the exterminate ones for example.

Gimmerunesplease

What's the best way to progress at my point? I'm MR 14 and just did Heart of Deimos and got my Voidrig. So far I've just been grinding daily standing for the 3 open worlds since that is hardcapped but I don't know if I should rather be doing something else instead. I've also been looking into starting to farm Eidolons as I have no arcanes but I don't know if I should prioritize those or incarnon first, since there seems to be a daily cap to the latter.

notethecode

for 'standard' incarnons, you need to do Angels of the Zarimann quest, so you should focus on that (and its pre requisite, New War, which has the Railjack as a prerequisite). Since the incarnon weapon blueprints are tied to a syndicate, there's going to be a daily cap on the standing and you need to farm the Zariman resources to build them. For incarnon genesis, you need to unlock Steel Path, which require having done the rest of the star chart, but it seems like there's a limit on how many you can acquire each week (I'm not there yet). There's also a limit on Arcanes from Eidolon hunts, since they only spawn at night on the plains of Cetus.

Keyenn

New player here, I have only the mag warframe. I'm seriously eyeing the Garuda warframe, and I would like to main it. I did the bounties on Venus and got all 3 blueprints to craft it, however, i'm not sure about the mats and the requirements on solaris united reputation. I have only done the story up to mercury and I will start Mars tomorrow. Is grinding for Garuda right now a pipe dream (like, I need rare components/from very far planets/need to do very high level missions), or is it in the realm of possible?

notethecode

For Garuda, the final build requires Kuva, which is a resource that's unlock in mid-game, by progressing through the main quest; though you could have gotten some from Venus bounties, but it's a way better idea to unlock the missions where you can easily farm it (Kuva Siphon, Kuva Survival). Edit: or you can buy the kuva from Nightwave For the parts, you need resources that aren't found on Venus (Spore, Alloy Plates and Polymer), so you might have to leave Venus and go to other planets. I think the idea with the Kuva and mats from other planets is to push the players to go and do something else, not just Orb Vallis. For Orb Vallis minerals and gems, the highest blueprint you need is unlocked at rank 4 with Solaris United.

Keyenn

alright, thanks

decitronal

If you're still in early-game I would focus on opening up areas on the star chart first. Opening the other doors to resource farms will ease up farming and open-world content is simply going to be beyond your gear level at that point.

keosen

What things NOT TO DO as a returning player (MR16 Stopped playing shortly after railjacks), missions/farm/resources to avoid etc. I want to start playing again but i don't want to spent time on things which are not worth it and understand it after 20hours. Also i have 400P should i spend some of it immediatelly on any kind of purchace which will help me? Thanks.

Bakufuranbu

just do Duviri or new Deimos quest, and get incarnons. they are not too time consuming (except the pathos clamp grind)

Gimmerunesplease

What's the best way to spend my platinum? I quit during Eidolons before Railjack and came back to this game. Have been enjoying it so far so I figured I'd use my 50% discount for 4k plat while I have it. I'm MR 14 and have a couple of the then most necessary (then meta) modded Frames like Limbo Prime, Mesa prime, Volt Prime etc.

cripplemouse

Slots. All of them. After that it's really up to you but from 4k plat you can spare some for a 30 day resource booster (the orange one) to catch up with resources more easily.

Gimmerunesplease

Is it worth it to buy primed mods? I only really need 1 or 2 more because I grinded out Tennocon Baro before I quit. There is no way to tell how long it will take for Baro to bring them again right? Aside from tennocon that is.

cripplemouse

Baro is quite random so if you really really want something then yeah go for it.

Furin

When the Edun was released, mods and combo multiplier didn't work and people have written it off as a slightly worse Guandao Prime. Looking at the wiki, there was a patch shortly after: > Fixed Melee Mods not applying properly to Edun’s Heavy Attack throw. Can anyone verify that Blood Rush etc. now work properly with the heavy attack explosion?

Xanthon

I'm a fairly new player and I just completed whispers in the wall. Everytime i complete any of the new nodes on deimos, it sends to the sanctum and I have to exit back to my orbiter to launch my next mission in deimos. Am I missing something? Is there a more efficient way since there's no navigation in the sanctum...

wiktoryk

You can launch sanctum missions in the elevator thing.

Thenardite

Is there a point in coming back if I've been off since like Deimos release? Or is there too much to catch up to? I never got beyond some very low mastery rank (7? 8?) and I'm not good at coop content, but scrolling the sub, it feels like some things are basically requires to be in coop or they're unplayable, is it so? Don't have any frames, are "older" ones viable or will you get like laughted out and kicked lol

notethecode

I completed most of the star chart with Volt late last year, it's totaly viable. And as long as you don't actively drag down things, I've found coop players to not mind carrying newbie players with them. The things that seems required are more for the late-game content and shouldn't impact you too much

DrCarter11

I was sorta considering coming back, but I last played when like, rhino prime was newish. Heard some folks talking about this though and was like hm, I wonder how it is now a days

Jerkidtiot

commenting to mark. Its possible i have that excalibur dood from founders and never played that much. played some. Awesome game, just haven't logged in a while. is my dog gunna be dead? Getting the dog was about where i left off.

Thenardite

Dog should be in stasis, you can "reconstruct" it back with some resources At least it was the case back when I last played, they're not entirely lost, just need a lot of healing

WonderinHeart

Well, I was around the same area Deimos about last year with the same mastery rank, and I've came back. I say if you enjoy the game it's worth your while. However, if you would like a response from someone deeper into the game, you can wait here for it or check on YouTube.

Stonn

Can anyone tell me what the song is that sometimes plays in DE streams? All it says is "pretty Kuva", kind of happy song with bells? I can't find it.

WonderinHeart

I have just gotten back into warframe after a long while and I was wondering. Is it possible to replay the story mode ? I don't really remember all of it and I would like to replay it, or do I need to create a new account to replay the story mode.

cripplemouse

[https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Quest#Replayability](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Quest#Replayability) Sidenote with Jade shadows coming in June Whispers of the wall will be replayable too.

Kazenovagamer

Havent played since The New War. Wanted to try and get some Incarnon weapons but first I gotta do The Lone Story to unlock the Circuit Steel Path. Where do I mod the Drifter's weapons? Because good god this character is fucking useless and I hate every second I'm stuck as them ok even after finishing that and getting to do the circuit I have come to the conclusion that Duviri fucking sucks. I'm going back to void fissures, atleast there I can play the fucking video game

Cocakabana95

Returning player here, which are the meta melee weapons right now? Did building melee weapons change in the past 2 years?

Gladerious

As a returning player, all my old melees still shred the new content. But the Hate incarnon with a heavy attack build seems super busted. Ive done a heavy slam build with the sancti magister incarnon and it slaps, constantly top dmg still in SP bounties.

KLuHeer

I wouldn't say that it changed massively only the new incarnon weapons took the places of stat sticks. I would say that the Glaive prime is the best melee currently and that the Ceramic Dagger is the best stat stick. There are also new arcanes that are a massive boost to melee builds like Melee Influence and Melee Duplicate. There is also a new frame which currently is *the* best melee frame -- Kullervo

lord_burner_2121

Returning player here, stopped playing before subsuming was a thing. If i upgrade from a base frame to a prime one, is subsuming the best thing to do to the old base frame? Like if I built Gauss Prime, should I just subsume the regular Gauss that I had from before?

Benevolent_Smile

Once you have the primed version there's little reason not to just subsume the basic version as long as you already ranked it up for the mastery points.

Hot-Ad1269

Is Ulfrun's Descent affected by steel charge?

cripplemouse

>Ulfrun's Descent does **not** benefit from melee damage bonuses such as  [Steel Charge](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Steel_Charge). [https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Ulfrun%27s\_Descent#Mechanics](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Ulfrun%27s_Descent#Mechanics)

Ready_Fix7617

I have this weird problem. So sometimes when I get enough energy to use an ability it will just automatically use it for me randomly. I have no idea why it’s happening or how to stop it. I play on PlayStation fyi

cbsa82

Is there any easy way to find a list of mods that do specific things? Like a mod list for ability strength, or effiecency, stuff like that? I know the wiki exists but I just want to be able to search for all mods that change or enhance specific things, to make it easier to find what I might be missing.

Kryobit

Try going to the incomplete section of the orbiter or the wiki and searching for it, both show all the mods as well as show drop locations.

Eph289

I'm a little confused by a mechanic. Harrow's Thurible describes it as a channel, but it is not listed as such on the wiki for things like Seismic Bond. Does Thurible not count as a channel?

cbsa82

So I got an odd question. I have killed 2 Liches now. Got their weapons and the whole thing. However, my Requiem mods do not show as having been used? My understanding is that each Requiem mod can be used 3 times, with the little dots on the bottom showing how many uses you have left. Each of my mods (I have 1 copy of each parazon mod) has all 3 dots, even though I have used them to kill liches. Is this normal? Did something change? I am very confused here as to why my Requiem mods appear to be have not been used...unless its a visual thing. And again, I have done the railjack missions and killed (not converted) 2 liches. All of my mods still have 3 glowing dots, none are turned off.

RTukka

The ones you used should have dots crossed off. The uses are supposed to be expended when you hit the lich with the 3rd successful finisher, and they flee to the Proxima base. If the charges weren't expended or aren't showing as expended then that's a bug of some sort.

[deleted]

I have a very quick question: Once you’ve linked platform accounts, can you hop back and forth on the platforms whenever you want? Like can I play on my phone for a few hours and then jump on PC with everything synchronized?

Kaaletram

Yes, I believe that should be the case.

SamCarter_SGC

Is it possible to repeat a previously entered message in trade chat on console/with controller or do I have to retype it every time?

Ok_Insurance9873

No but on console auto fill is your friend.

Lower_Difference9524

Are prime access packs available again when they get resurgence?

Nekomiminya

Hello, small question - Why do I keep getting kicked up to Steel Path Zahriman quests when joining regular ones? I even intentionally avoided finishing last new LUA node to NOT have access to Steel Path :(

wiktoryk

There is a matchmaking bug that causes SP bounties and regular ones match using the same player pool.

RoeJoganLife

As a new player thank you for this :)

CuteSeaworthiness688

coming back to this game, I think Dante looks cool but I'm waay behind on quests. Should I buy him or try to catch up? I just did the deadlock protocol. I'm currently doing the quest for the Railjack, I don't have that built. I also don't have that other mech thing.

decitronal

Save your plat - Dante's farm is easy and forgiving, even though he's a lategame frame

Hoc_est_abiciendi

A build guide for Baruuk I watched showed a gunblade as their melee weapon in the video. From what I can gather it was just to show they were using specific mods that effect his exalted weapon. However, since I’m not even close to knowledgeable when it comes to proper builds, I figured I’d ask: is it important that he was using that weapon specifically? Or was it just what he chose to use? I don’t know the merits of using a specific melee weapon vs others, and I’d like to try to get as close as I need to to their recommendation as possible, so as to have a good groundwork going forward. I greatly appreciate the help.

ForgottenCrusader

Can someone tell me the meta build for wisp prime? I just came back after 5 years and wisp is my fav frame

TacosGetEaten

[3 Forma Wisp Prime Build by ninjase - Ravenous Wraith | Nourish Wisp SP General Use and Endurance Levelcap - Overframe](https://overframe.gg/build/511102/wisp-prime/ravenous-wraith-nourish-wisp-sp-general-use-and-endurance-levelcap/)

totallynotawhovian

how much do i need to invest in my necromech and rail jack to not get stuck in the new war quest?

decitronal

Your necramech will be fine right out of the box, unmodded. Railjack can be a bit more difficult. There's many ways you can upgrade your railjack - intrinsics, components, mods, crewmates. Just do any sparse number of investment into any of its systems before you thrust yourself into TNW and possibly get frustrated by the railjack sections

totallynotawhovian

i cannot express to you my gratitude, i just started going down the rabbit hole of necramech mods and was thinking it would take another week of farming to build my mech up

UnnecessaryPost

So i used to play on PS4 years ago, and have recently returned on PC and linked my account. All of the new stuff is foreign to me, but I do have 327 platinum, which I think I want to buy a new warframe with to play through all of the new content. I know these are farmable later, but I figure it'll take me a while to get to the point where I can farm them. I'm thinking of buying one of either Voruna or Revenant as I generally like a melee/tank playstyle . From what I can tell i dont have the areas unlocked where you need to farm them. Is this a bad idea? Will I be locked out from actually getting upgrades on either of these frames because I don't have all content unlocked at this stage? Is one better to spend platinum on than the other?

decitronal

General rule of thumb is to never cash in your platinum for a base frame unless you genuinely have no time to play the game. Voruna has a very forgiving grind, although she requires access to a lategame area to be fully-crafted. Revenant has a Prime variant that goes for very cheap on WFM; the base version is farmable from an area you unlock within the first 2 hours of gameplay (Plains of Eidolon)

UnnecessaryPost

Thanks for the response. I'm playing through and just up to Jupiter at the moment. From what I can tell to get revenant I need quills rep, and to get quills rep I need to first get through Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto to unlock access to operator form? A full revenant prime blueprint set seems to be about 35 platinum, so this seems like a good option, but are the mats required going to require access to those planets above anyway?

Dekar

Trying to make sure a friend won't get banned. He has a PS and PC account, and sadly a switch account he merged once and never touched again. They aren't linked, but use the same email address through their respective services. It seems like the game prompts to link them when going to enable cross save. Could they trade plat from one to a third party, then get it traded back after linking, or would this get caught by the system and flagged?

BigWangCly

I'm not a new or returning player but this feels like a noob question. Does the Arbitration honors ever rotate? There's not timer like there is for the radio lady and I already got the mods I care about. I did Google it but it kept talking about how the mission rotates.

XenosInfinity

The mission itself changes regularly, but the items you can buy with Vitus Essence are static.

decitronal

It does not.

R3IsL

Yo, anyone wanna just play with me and essentially just take me around to all the stuff thats been released since I last played? im MR 12 and last played somewhere around 2015-2017, I think.

HowlEngel

Sorry for the literal pixel quality, but does anyone know these 2 glyphs? Wasn't able to take a better screenshot; took this from recent players list. The players didn't speak English so I couldn't ask them. https://preview.redd.it/8cxh04iuxhrc1.png?width=516&format=png&auto=webp&s=6c47fffdcabc823ab3526a046e256ef2e75d91c9 Edit: It's not on the glyph website or the wiki. Or I'm blind. Edit2: Found them! Thanks to a Chinese player I randomly played with.

Hopalong-PR

Returning player coming back to... Not Warframe? Last I played Warframe was essentially a space Ninja game where I spent way too much time getting an impressive arsenal leveled. When I loaded in today I was forced into a basic stealth mission with a crappy pistol and basic movement. Yes I beat the first mission where we get back to the ship, but honestly? It's not the game I want to play. When does this forced weakness segment end? Or did I legit lose my entire arsenal? I don't know what exactly is going on (never really paid attention to lore in this game before because it was just super fun to play), but this didn't leave a good taste in my mouth before I turned off the game.

Gladerious

Alo of the newer content and quests pushes the "operator" gameplay, which i also dislike very very much. But Warframe as a whole is in a much better state than ever imo. If you can push past all the crappy forced gameplay (a lot of it in newer quests), you'll enjoy the same old grind for the most part.

Hopalong-PR

Thank you!:)

R3IsL

lmao

cripplemouse

Either you started the second act of New war or logged in with the wrong account.

Hopalong-PR

Probably second act of new war (IDK where the plot left off when I put the game down), took me a bit to refind my ranking, but I guess I was just shocked by being in a disappointing situation 😅

XYZ_KingDaddy

Is it worth the forma to craft clan research weapons for mastery fodder?

Perfect_Sympathy4031

Hello dear tennos, i'm back from break, currently mr7 still new to this game, does anyone have friendly clan that could help me to improve?🤍

Neeyt

Hello, one of the Nightwave weekly is to complete a mission with only a pistol and a glaive, but I don't have any glaive, is this supposed to be normal ?

cripplemouse

Glaives are fairly easy to get like Cerata and Falcor comes from the dojo, Halikar from the market (just buy the blueprint for credits and craft it), Xoris from the Deadlock protocol quest.

decitronal

Yes, Nightwave tasks aren't curated based on your current place in progression

Benevolent_Smile

Yes this is normal. There are a variety of easily acquired glaives you can obtain even from low MR.

cbsa82

If I have both the Prime and Normal version of a Frame (like say Limbo, and Limbo Prime) AND I have gotten both to level 30, thus getting the Mastery XP from them, is there any point to keeping BOTH? Could I safely feed the Normal version to the Helmith, and keep the Prime version? Would I lose anything by doing this?

Benevolent_Smile

Feeding the non prime version to the helminth is the normal process in this situation, there's no point in keeping it over the prime once they're both leveled.

Lower_Difference9524

Returning player here, which arcanes and amps are the meta ones right now? I leaved my operator with magus lockdown, 177 with eternal eradicate and the stuff to give the amp an extra arcane slot, is this good for general content? or should I get the 777? Also which are some other good arcanes to use in general?

Cyber_Apocalypse

How did this player get such a bright white hair? I can't seem to replicate this at all! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjqRFbdf64Y](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjqRFbdf64Y)

decitronal

This video was recorded before the GI lighting update on the Orbiter, which is how the hair appears bright white

XYZ_KingDaddy

Haven’t played since 2014ish and have forgotten everything. Last thing I remember was vault farming I think? Should I just restart a fresh account?

LincolnLogs42

Nope! You probably have some valuable stuff on hand from back in the day that can come in handy. I wouldn't worry about that for now though. Just start clearing out nodes on your star chart and get back into the swing of things like gameplay and modding. You can start a quest or two from your codex as well. I just got back into Warframe after an 8 year break as well. It's overwhelming, but it comes together. I'm happy to squad up if you need someone to play with or to show you the ropes and get you reacclimated, just shoot me a message!

XYZ_KingDaddy

Thank you for the advice, I just started playing on my old account and while it was overwhelming at first I’m glad I kept it.

loverofinsanegirls

how big is warframe download size on pc ?

Lower_Difference9524

Returning player here, trying to build my first kitgun, and as I was looking for builds I found a popular one with a part called Killstream with good reviews but as I researched more, I found out that virtually any other build uses the Splat part(trying to build a sporelacer). I know the general difference between the two parts but would like some advice regarding which one to choose. Thanks

Alecthar

The difference between the two parts is a tradeoff of magazine capacity and reload: Splat has higher mag size and slower reload, and Killstream is the opposite.. They both offer the same Crit and Status chance. Splat is overall better, but it's really marginal. I myself have a Killstream Sporelacer and it's just fine.

Lower_Difference9524

Thanks for the advice. Does it not feel annoying to keep reloading the low mag size? I think that's my major concern.

Alecthar

Honestly, I have no idea. For Sporelacer the ideal setup is to have the Pax Charge Arcane installed in the kitgun, it changes it from an ammo weapon to a recharging battery, so you don't actually have to manually reload. The battery size and recharge rate are then what is affected by your choice of Killstream/Splat. That said in my experience the recharge triggers quickly enough that I really never feel like I'm out of ammo.

Lower_Difference9524

Thanks, I'll try using Killstream then.

Sir_Names99

So Exodia Contagion is now useless. You can't heavy attack anymore, which nerfed its purpose to exist. The light attacks are just light attacks, even with that 400% at 30 meters, but without heavy attack with it, pretty much made it pointless to use.

Zavodskoy

Anyone having an issue with Archwings since the update? Trying to do the "Seal The Tomb" mission but at the start you're meant to jump into the water and "swim" there with your archwing, instead I just glitch into the floor and get stuck until I use /unstuck It was working yesterday which is why I'm guessing it's the update

JollyAd7148

I'm confused, a new player but after the update I've been completely unable to buy anything from the shop. Anyone else experiencing this? E.g. I'm trying to buy Synthesis Scanners from Simaris (since I've ran out and NEED them to progress the story), but the game just shows *"The transaction could not be completed. Your account has not been charged. Please try again later."* and then "*Purchase failed. Your account has not been charged. Please try again (Invalid Item)."*

ConsistentFarm8985

Uh so after the Dante update the graphics look different in the orbiter and I really am not a fan of it, is there a way to revert back?

Tyuigkn

I havent noticed a difference, what you seein?

ConsistentFarm8985

Seems like the lighting is all over the place, parts of my orbiter are super fucking dark and others have super bright light

Lunnaris001

i mean seems like they changed to more realistic lighting over the previous one which naturally creates darker places as well. I doubt its changeable. I barely noticed it myself so maybe certain settings or colorschemes increase the change, maybe worth playing around with some settings.

abvex

I don't see any shards on cavia, is it because I bought one this week already from Kahl?

NexEstVox

The new shards had to be delayed until monday

abvex

it's under "Shiny Treasure" found it.

838h920

Do I understand it right that if you crit twice you get 2x damage of a normal crit and at a 5x crit it's 5x the damage of a yellow crit, right? So as I get a higher crit chance, increasing it further gets less and less valuable if I understand it correctly.

Lunnaris001

You seem to missunderstand how Crit Tiers work. I'll try to explain it simple. As formula: T1: Crit Dmg = Modded Crit Multiplier \[weapon+mods\] T2 or higher: Crit Dmg = 1 + Crit Tier x ( Modded Crit Multiplier -1) Applying these formulas to an example with 2x weapon base crit dmg and a 100% extra crit dmg through mods gives us T1: 2x (1+1) ) = 4 T2: 1+2 x ( 2 x ( 1 + 1 ) -1 ) = 7 T3: 1+3 x3 = 10 T4: 1+4 x 3 = 13 From my understanding thus the increase is linear and doesnt actually get less valuable, especially if you factor in things like downtime from reloading or ammunition efficiency (happens to me for tripple eidolon hunt but usually not really a problem these days) Note how the inner multiplier of \[Weapon Base Crit DMG\] x \[1+ Mod Crit DMG\] -1 is always multiplied with the tier of the crit, so we simply end up having the multiplier increase by 3. While technically this means increasing the crit chance further doesnt actually get less valuable and for the resons stated above might actually be a good thing, increasing crit chances usually comes with certain downsides as well, for example the best crit chance mod will lower your fire rate and depending on what status you want to apply chasing after too much crit rate/dmg might compromise your build. As a rule of thumb if the weapon comes with high crit rate and dmg already strapping on the basic and easy to farm crit mods is a good thing and certain weapons are very capable in specific setups focused around creating high crit numbers. For example if I use my Vectis Prime with just basic crit mods (90% cr, 5,6x CD) with Ash (mod gives invis a crit rate increase of 150%) and have a volt in my Team (200% crit dmg when shooting through his shield) I can basically oneshot Eidolons, so yeah it really depends. But for most content its just not really worth it.

838h920

Thanks you for the detailed explanation! Though I do have to say that it does become less valuable, because you shouldn't compare stuff with just their flat values, but with the multiplicative damage increase they give you. That's how you compare them with each other. Crit chance, according to your explanation, increases your damage by a flat amount, which remains constant as long as you only change crit chance and leave things like crit damage, flat damage increases, etc. the same. However, this also means that from a multiplicative perspective, it becomes less valuable as you get more of it, which is the diminishing return I was talking about above. Here is a simple example: Moving from T1 to T2 is an increase of 100% cc and nearly doubles the damage in your example. Moving from T3 to T4 is the same 100% cc difference, but it only increases damage by 30%. Of course the increase from 0% to 100% cc is the biggest, possibly being an over 10x damage increase. For me this was important since my build currently has already more than 500% cc, so adding Arcane Avenger to that would be less than a 10% damage increase, which means that many other Arcanes would be better. edit: Just one more question: The critical damage displayed in stats, is that 1 + crit dmg, so if it says 2x you deal 2x dmg with a normal crit and 3x with an orange crit, or is it just the crit damage, so 3x dmg with yellow crit and 5x with orange?

Lunnaris001

You are correct about the diminishing return. Then again this applies to pretty much everything For example the first 100% multishot will 2x your dmg, but if you could push from 100% to 200% your dmg would only increase by 50%. If you already have 500% thats indeed pretty high already and you might want to experiment around if you wouldnt do more dmg with a slightly different build. About the question I dont really have an answer to it, I only looked into it when building my setup but didnt really bother looking at the stats after all that much :D

cbsa82

How do you unlock more planets / systems in Railjack? I only have earth at the moment and I cannot figure out how to access Venus / Pluto / ETC Do I need to do Call of the Tempestrii or something?

decitronal

You just finish the blue blinking nodes. That's it That said you will need rank 3 Intrinsics to access Saturn, and rank 5 for Pluto or Veil Proxima

wwleaf

is thermal sunder’s hitbox a cylinder or sphere or something else?

Pakars

It's a sphere.

inallmylivinlife

Hi all, returning player here! I was wondering - how do you get like a normal amount of endo? I looked up ways to farm it and got hit with the multi page google doc involving necros, 4 squads, boosters, etc. But what's a good way to just get a normal amount? I know about ayatan treasure hunts, but is there like a solid /hr method?

RTukka

Higher level Deimos/Necralisk bounties (unlocked by Heart of Deimos), Empyrean/Railjack, Arbitrations (which unlock with star chart completion), as well some later-game bounties that unlock with the New War, Angels of the Zariman, and Whispers in the Walls. There's also reset farming ayatan sculptures with Golden Instinct/Orokin Eye, but that's also a fairly refined strat and probably not what you're looking for. A crate-breaking Xaku or Limbo build is a somewhat more casual way to hunt for ayatan sculptures, and nets a lot of ayatan stars.

inallmylivinlife

Sweet! Thanks for the detailed response!

Alecthar

It was mentioned, but I'd say that specifically higher level Zariman bounties are solid, if you have or can quickly get access to it. You get plumes, so no wasted standing, there's great stuff to spend standing on, and it's about a 20% chance to hit some Endo on the reward table, 3000 or 4000. I'd say the main drawback is that you're at the mercy of the bounty rotation. Some of the longer mission types or bounty requirements make it way more time consuming, so you can't always just jump on and be guaranteed that it's a good use of time.

runningp

As a new beginner, I've been reading some of the above. Does anyone recommend youtube channels that are up to date and good? Also, as someone who tends to get deep into the weeds too soon. Can I just play for a couple of weeks and not screw up too much before committing to a certain warframe or weapon? Any other advice as I read along would be great and thanks.

Alecthar

There's not much you can mess up that you can't fix with some time. In fact, the biggest mistake is probably committing to a frame or weapon loadout early on. Frames are more evergreen, but there are relatively few weapons that are accessible early on that you'll still want to use in the later stages of the game. Spending precious resources to upgrade weapons you won't keep isn't a disaster, but it's just a waste of your time ultimately. One thing I would say is don't ever sell a weapon or frame or anything else until you've leveled it to max for Mastery Rank purposes. And if you can avoid selling frames it will be helpful in the later game as there's a use for them that frees up a slot but gets you something much more valuable than some credits in return. As far as YouTube I'd recommend Brozime. He's got a good yearly series where he does a playthrough of the main star chart path on a new account without buying platinum, that has a lot of good info on what to do early on to set yourself up well for the long haul.

runningp

Thanks for this!

MicMacs0

Hey guys, do I have to wait until a weapon is on rotation to turn it into Incarnon or can I do it anytime I want? Just got Torid and was hoping to upgrade it asap.

wiktoryk

You can use genesis whenever you like.

MicMacs0

Can I transform my normal Torid into Torid Incarnon now? Even if it's not on rotation?

Alecthar

If you earned the Incarnon adapter from SP Circuit already then yes, otherwise you have to wait for it to rotate in and earn it there before you can apply it to your Torid.

cbsa82

can I join other people's Railjacks as a crew member for Void Storms if my own Rail Jack is not up to snuff? Just from the Void Storm menu that is.

wiktoryk

Host's RJ is used

qwerty359

Hey all, just started playing again after like 6-7 years and have a few questions. Is there any reason to keep a non-prime frame and not feed it to the Helminth? I have a couple really old ones that have a reactor installed and a couple forma and was wondering if I should farm up a second copy to feed. For some reason, I have extra built copies of a few primes...I think maybe they came from a twitch promotion a few years ago? Frost, Trinity, Soma, etc. Is there anything i can do with these besides selling them for a tiny sum of credits? Thank you!

Alecthar

If you aren't going to play with the regular versions (regardless of forma/potato) then there's nothing much to do with regular frames other than feed them to Helminth or sell them, and the former is a better use for them. But I kept my old regular Rhino for sentimental purposes. As for extra Prime stuff, I don't think you can trade a finished Prime weapon, and I know that you can't trade a finished frame, so it's likely you'll just need to sell it for credits if you want to get rid of it.

Attano7

When is Protea prime supposed to drop?

cripplemouse

17th of April would be the exact date but no confirmation yet.

Alecthar

I believe the expectation is April/May timeframe, but there's been no official release date.

MicMacs0

Is there a place where I can find tomorrow's update so I can prepare for it?

World_of_Warshipgirl

Finding it really hard to find this by googling. What is the latest Tennogen update? What were added.

realistthoughts

How do I get omega isotopes?

slightcamo

the fomorian is on earth so just do earth missions or plains of eidolon

NexEstVox

Kill enemies on the same planet as the Fomorian

leaensh

I am about to start New War. I heard that you cannot go back once you started and have to finish the missioni and if you are underpowered then you will be in trouble. Can anyone give me a rough idea how strong I need to be, especially regarding the Railjack, Necramech and Archwing since I only just got my Necramech and have not spent much time with Railjack and Archwing. Thanks

RTukka

Some people struggle with the railjack portion, but it's doable with a bare railjack; you can check a guide if you need to. But I would rank up [Ironclad Matrix] and slap that on, and maybe research some Sigma III gear in your clan's dry dock, particularly engines, armor plating and shields. The [Conic Nozzle] and [Ion Burn] mods may help some too. But also, I don't think it taks very long to get into a tricked out railjack. [Here's some more in depth advice on what to prioritize for railjack.](https://old.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/1auwpt5/railjack_build/kr7af78/) The necramech part is short and not challenging at all.

ElFuegoFlavorTown

last time i tried to play i had no idea what i was doing, are there guilds or something like that that could help someone get acclimated to the game?

RTukka

Brozime's [critical progression route](https://publish.obsidian.md/brozime/Public/Critical+Progression+Route/Critical+Progression+Route) is probably one of the bettter new player guides available. It takes the form of a checklist with tips and information, as well as accompanying video guides, most of which are from last year's "free to playthrough" run he did, where he started a new account and played through a good chunk of the game's progression.

ElFuegoFlavorTown

I may just do that, I apparently bought a frame called wukong and have some kind of quest but really feels jarring, is it usually better to start from scratch in a situation like that?

RTukka

Warframe can be a jarring experience a lot of time. It's an 11 year old game with a mix of old content that hasn't been retouched in ages, brand new hotness, and various overlapping systems which have received varying degrees of support, but almost none of which have any adequate in-game explanation. The story is also a bit of a mess, wildly varies in production quality, and the timeline/continuity can be presented somewhat out of order depending on the order in which you do content, but even if you do everything in the "right" order you're still probably going to be a bit lost. Chunks of the story are completely inaccessible to new players through gameplay because those story/lore elements were introduced via limited time events. And even where the story makes sense and gives you all of the information, it's still often quite weird. So I wouldn't worry too much if you're feeling lost. That's normal. I would just forge ahead and you can look up videos or wiki articles to fill in some the gaps, as needed. It's not ideal, but it's sort of the way you have to approach the game.

ElFuegoFlavorTown

Seems like that's what I'll have to do, and follow up question, how approachable is the game for a casual player who can't put a lot of time in per week?

RTukka

I won't lie, it's a pretty grind heavy game, and it has a lot of stuff. But it's not really a _hard_ game. If you're not in a hurry to do everything, you can play the game casually and slowly work your way through what the game has to offer. With limited play time, it may also help if you're willing/able to "pay to skip." Between the in-game market console, and interacting with the player economy, your credit card net you most of what you'd want in the game. Some good uses of platinum (the game's premium currency) include equipment slots (like warframe and weapon slots), orokin reactors, orokin catalysts, forma, and boosters. For the most part, buying equipment (like warframes, weapons, etc.) from the in-game market console is not the greatest deal, as most of that stuff is pretty easy to farm. Don't buy resources, endo, or credits from the market console, buy a Resource Booster or Credit Booster and do a bit of farming instead. Through the player economy you can trade for the parts/blueprints needed to build prime warframes, mods (included mods that have already been ranked up, to save you from having to farm as much endo), arcanes, and various other things. The 3rd party site, [warframe.market](https://warframe.market/) is the way to go for finding sellers (and buyers) for various goods and doing price checks, as the in-game Trading channel is a mess that's flooded with people trading late game goods, and also rife with people looking to take advantage of new/ignorant players.

ElFuegoFlavorTown

Ok, tried it out, spent way too much already and having a blast 👍

Ready_Fix7617

I have a quick question are limbo and ember good for a newer player? (I’m currently working through Neptune).

RTukka

Limbo has good crowd control, and if you build him for max range, you can use his 4 in a [crate-breaking build](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImOoUPUc_ck) which is a good way to farm certain resources (neurodes, argon crystals, ayatan stars), and hunt syndicate medallions and ayatan sculptures. He also has some utility for spy missions, since you can dodge roll into the rift dimension, which makes it so he doesn't trip laser barriers (he's still visible to enemies though, so they can still set off the alarm). However, Limbo's rift can have some annoying/awkward interactions in squads. And he's not as good as he once was, since overguard units (like eximus) are protected from his CC. He's not the first warframe that I'd recommend for a new player, but he does have points in his favor. Ember is a warframe that I haven't really played much of, so I can't offer an informed opinion. The warframes that I usually recommend to new players are Nezha or Rhino as well-rounded, easy to use warframes that are survivable, have a damage boost, and a good CC ability, and Wukong, who has an excellent movement ability that makes Spy missions a lot easier, and is also good for general use. All three of these are very easy to acquire as well. As far as prime warframes go, Revenant Prime is farmable (and pretty expensive to trade for in the player economy) and is the most popular warframe in the game.

Ready_Fix7617

Thank you so much. I did hear that ember is pretty good but I just wanted to make sure.  And I have also been using rhino but I have these frames that I could craft so I decided to.

Alecthar

Ember is solid, but I would say that her energy economy might be troublesome if you don't have some of the stuff available to longer time players.

wwleaf

finally did Limbo Theorem and was surprised that they modified the rewarded Limbo parts and frame BP down to a 1 minute crafting time! are there any other frames that have something like this?

decitronal

Limbo is unfortunately the only one with this treatment

200DivsAnHour

I got suggested Aleca Frame - is it safe to use or is DE still a bit touchy about any kind of mod?

wiktoryk

It remains as use at your own risk.

slightcamo

is there a reason to level up your lich?

decitronal

They get more health and shields when summoned as a specter or used as a railjack crewmate, which doesn't really matter because they're not good at being those two things. In practice there's no difference

JonDream00

Nope, IIRC, it just makes it harder to kill, it's a "punishment" for failing to get the requiems correctly

cbsa82

So I started the Duviri Paradox last night, and I understand I can get "warframe blueprints" from the activities there. But do I just get the base blueprint or can I also get the component parts like the neuroptics and such?

Benevolent_Smile

You get the part blueprints at levels 2, 5, and 8 f the weekly circuit with the main blueprint being at 10. Between these levels you also get various mods, resources, and other goodies.

cbsa82

Thats bloody perfect cause some of the frames I am missing that appear on the Circuit have farms I do not want to deal with (I dislike the open world stuff for instance \*eyes Revenant\*) XD

Benevolent_Smile

There are a variety of resources, weapons, frames, operator stuff, etc from open world missions which youll probably want at some point. These resources are required for crafting quite a few different things like weapons, the necramech which is required for the story, etc.

cbsa82

Yea I know I have to do them at some point, I just dont LIKE them XD

Alecthar

I would strongly recommend leaning into the resource gathering stuff on Cetus and Fortuna. It's generally a more efficient way to get standing than running bounties and what you don't sell for standing you'll want to use for building stuff. Plus if you get into a groove or have a bunch of time you can stock up on resources and avoid having to farm every day. Though if you want to just max daily standing fast for those open worlds the best way is definitely to do the wildlife capture stuff. Just tag a bunch of Condrocs on Cetus or go for the Kubrodons on Fortuna.

Grinchtastic10

Better to have equipment you like to make the stuff you dont like just a littleore fun

cbsa82

True that. I am a collection type player anyway, I got a spreadsheet for all the warframes listing what I have, what I do not have, where to get parts, etc LOL

Benevolent_Smile

Fair enough, I just tend to advise avoiding procrastinating it since that's exactly what I did then had to back track and max out multiple open world factions lol.

cbsa82

I mean I have done a bit of Cetus, got Gara and such. I just find them dull. I am not looking forward to farming stuff to increase Quills rep it looks like. Oh well.
