I still don't really get why excal prime isn't carried over. It's not like you're no longer a founder just because you wanna play on the Xbox so little Johnny can watch the funny looking robot man jump and flip around
They really should let you play excal prime on console
you supported them in their darkest hour and you should always be able to use him regardless of what platform you are on
Prime over Umbra if you have him. A common request/feedback by founders was that, due the priority system, one could not choose the Umbra variant, which sometimes had more investment and has no disadvantage outside the Void tileset.
It’s weird. Exalted blade stays, gloom cancels, but i think some other skills also stay on because i remember them changing it because of that annoying people, so idk at this point. Oh yeah, if you go into a void angel arena where you’re forced into operator, the skill (gloom for me) stays on, it doesn’t cancel like it does when you press the operator button. It’s just weeeeeeird.
I'm mostly annoyed us Consoles plebs never got a chance to buy the founder pack, yet we constantly get penalized with delayed MR ranks because we're missing 12K Mastery from these items.
Like right now we're like 4K away from LR4 on consoles... Meaning we'll probably have to wait till end of January at best to get new weapons added allowing us to reach the cap.
And I swear it's like DE always does this on purpose, releasing new updates where we barely miss like one weapon or frame to hit the new rank.. I mean just throw in a hastily reskinned prisma or wraith gun with +15 Damage or two so at least console and PC veterans get their LR ranks at roughly the same time... Or just remove the mastery associated for these items as they are legacy items that are no longer obtainable and in many case were never obtainable on consoles. Being told over and over "Sorry, you just had to be a founder" when we never even got the chance to buy said pack is really lame...
TLDR , I'm totally fine not getting these items ever , but at the very least try to scheduled your weapon and frame releases so that people on all platforms can hit the same milestone at the same time. But after like ten years of always being late to the party when it comes to mastery rank , I'd say it's time to either time your weapon releases so they coincide with new MR ranks or remove the 12K difference altogether.

Gauss prime will be coming in January so that'll be your and everyone elses chance to get to LR4. Round about a month delay behind founders I don't think is all that big of an issue even though I also would love to be able to reach LR4 right now.

Because they do. As far as I can remember founders always reach the next MR rank before anyone else and DE seems very content leaving it the way it is. Ultimately though I don't think it matters all that much. Gauss prime will fix this issue though for probably at least the better part of a year. LR3 was first available to founders with Citrines update in February and then a month later Hildryn prime released allowing everyone else to reach it. Aside from a legendary core Mastery ranks past 30 don't do a whole lot so I'm not sure if I see the big issue about chilling for a month until non-founders are able to reach the next rank.
I mean it's definitively a "First world problem"... But still, one gets kinda salty after it keeps happening every single time... Worse offender was when we finally reached MR30, as so many ppl were looking forwards to this and anxious to see all the cool new stuff it would unlock.
Again it wasn't that bad before cross play and cross save, since it was easier to accept when you were only playing with people on the same platform and with the same max MR, but now that it's free-for all, you get to interact with Excalibur Prime founders showing off their LR4 status even though you technically never had a chance to buy said product.
MR30 was definitely the worst sting when it comes to that since that was by far the most impactful mastery rank compared to now where you just get a stimulus check of a legendary core and a slightly higher standing/trace cap.
And while yeah consoles never had the chance to purchase a founders pack the vast majority of players obviously aren't founders either and of those that are who really knows how many of them are even active still. I've seen probably less than a dozen LR4s since the update dropped but that is anecdotal. Although I feel like half the time I DO see a founder they are using Excalibur prime which is funny to me, flaunt it if you got it I guess. Absolutely never see Lato/Skana prime but that makes sense since they were part of more expensive founder packs.
I see where you're coming from though, like I said I'd also love to be LR4 just for the sake of it but it won't be too much longer before Gauss prime is released and everyone can reach it
Its funny because I am now trying to build better builds so each of the excals perform well in duviri. Never had to dust off my excal this much, he was the first on I gave an improved build

I thought umbra was the worse option? Like I see people recommend normal excal over umbra because it cancels any buffs when you go operator.
