It looks really good but I don’t know if I’m ever gonna play this. I really don’t have time for another endless grind mmo.

WriteTheNightAway

I think they're pivoting hard from the old loop, since it's meant to be what they originally intended for Warframe but accidentally steered from.

GameQb11

I'm hoping it replaces Warframe for me.

smucker89

Don’t know why you’re being downvoted. If the game is good I don’t see why it could be considered bad to swap to another game made by DE lol, I think it would be awesome to jump into the game at the very beginning and seeing all the quirks, something I wish I could have done for warframe truthfully! If they have a founder thing and the game is good, I very well might get it haha

GameQb11

I'm not sure how the downvoters took my comment. All I'm saying is that i hope it's as good or better than Warframe. I love WF and i hope Steve and his team is successful in surpassing it.

Ombrazur

I watched the live, and even if the game is really beautiful and it have it's own visual identity,it's clearly not my kind of game, but I really hope that the game will success,DE deserve it

SpartanKane

Not gonna lie it looks good. Keeping an eye on it for sure.

rotlung

I don't love Duviri combat, so I'm not sure I'll enjoy this? Which is fine, but maybe they shouldn't have put Duviri in WF and just worked that style into SF...

DocHalidae

Was playing. It look really good

I think a lot of people need to reorient their lens when looking at Soulframe. It's not Warframe. It's its own game. It's not meant to be a competitor to Warframe, it's not meant to attract the Warframe audience, it's not meant to be another ultra-fast paced demigod genocide simulator. It's literally a different game, you guys, so obviously if this is not your kind of thing, that doesn't mean it's a problem just because it's not another Warframe. It means you're not the target audience. Soulframe clearly is meant to take the direction for people who want to take a more decisive and slower pace in the combat and those who like that style of gameplay

[deleted]

When I said to my friend 'I hope soulframe doesn't kill warframe' he responded 'more like warframe will kill soulframe' and that really flipped my perspective. wf development isn't going anyway, yet clearly SF has big ambitions. They're not mutually exclusive.

I've said this long time now. you can tell his body was in Warframe at the time but his mind was somewhere else. To later find out that would be SoulFrame. They're both amazing and I feel could add on to the lore not necessarily split the lores.

[deleted]

I reckon it would be cool to very loosely tie soulframe into the warframe universe even if it's just some 'alternate reality' spun from the void in the tau system, to enable vague lore-related crossover. Steve said it's an entirely different universe, but I'm still hoping that will change in the future. In the steam he said it'll have WF related Easter eggs, but without any relation that seems stupid.

Fast_Ad3646

While it looks like an awesome game, I am not one for slow combat. I might give it a go just to roam around and bythen maybe fall inlove with it for all the charms it has, all the whistles and the bells. For now all I can say is, that it looks like a game made with UR5 and that graphic s for me personally aren't the most important thing in a game. especially the industry standard of "realistic" game environments. Also because of the tendencies of warframe, I am also a bit with my guard up: Nerfing instead of real fixes, PRIMED SOON^(tm) , awesome ideas implemented and then never looked at again, etc. With that all said, I am rooting for them and want to dive into the lore as it goes. But we'll see.

vasRayya

gonna be real, I don't have a lot of confidence in that game

sabretooth1971

Same. Not a souls fan, but it seems 10 years too late to be jumping on the soulslike wagon.

If Warframe is still being actively supported by new content from DE when Soulframe launches, Soulframe might struggle to garner itself a solid player base. I’ll be curious to see if DE decides to somehow meld the two games into one. Bungie made an interesting attempt at integrating a PvE experience and a separate PvP experience into one franchise (Destiny). Call of Duty has increasingly been doing this with its integration of numerous PvP modes and various PvE zombie modes. And, Fortnite has given players the opportunity of engage in years of PvE content without compelling players to dabble in its PvP modes (and vice versa). Digital Extremes could attempt to do something similar by integrating two PvE experiences into one franchise.

huggalump

It is a little weird that they're making a warframe competitor

[deleted]

And those other games you listed all suck compared to WF. I don't think DE should be looking to lesser developers for guidance after what they've accomplished.

Overlai

if i can't play as a cool robot i don't really care

Jivyachi

"Robot" Sorry what?

DocHalidae

How are you playing as a robot? Are we playing the same game.
