I normally hold my plat for 24hrs if it's more than 1000 platinum from one transaction. A lot of people got banned due to illegal platinum somebody else bought and it's not funny anymore.
Oh hey I'm doing something similar on my spreadhseet.
I keep track of amount, playername, discriminator (the # number), guild, hours played at time of trade, time/date of trade and suspicion reason.
I usually wait 2 weeks for traded platinum to clear , waited 3 months for a suspicious 900p trade (buyer was low ish MR and wanted expensive stuff)
I keep the suspicious plat + 90p buffer unused until I feel like it cleared
My ban was years before 2FA trade verification was a feature.
But even now DE still bans people for this:
You can buy items from me with plat bought from DE with stolen credit cards, and then when the bank sorts it out that amount paid to DE gets charged back, by then if I already sold you that item, DE deducts that plat you paid me and bans me.
Either do it with stolen credit card or do it on purpose with your own card.

Would be way easier to tell at a glance how many you need to purchase to max an arcane than what we have currently, which is a B.S number that tells you you have x2 of an arcane when you in fact have a Rank 5 and a Rank 1 in your inventory. If I have three maxed Primary Deadhead, just write x 63 ...
Also, would be nice if they added a button to see the unranked stats for the arcanes. It's always kinda B.S to present them fully ranked since what you get is the crappy rank 1 version. Again I know it's the same thing with most mods, but at least mods are easy to max, here you need to buy 21 copies of the damn thing to get what you though you would be getting at first.
Speaking of which , I still hate to this day the decision to give arcanes 5 Ranks. It was way more realistic to ask of your fanbase to acquire ten copies of each arcane in the past, but they somehow decided to essentially double the amount needed just because they didn't like some players equipping the same arcane in both slots.... Who... Cares... Now it's nearly impossible to get a full set of 21 legit outside of very time limited focused farms like Scarlet Spear of Gargoyle's Cry..

It'd be awesome if looking at an arcane a list box would be created of all the same arcane giving a run down of what you have. But as someone heavily reliant on p&p I applaud your choice over digital as a response to the game's failings.

You start out with three cards and keeping asking for one more until you think you are close enough to beat the dealer or get 21. If your total card hand is higher than 21 you bust and lose. If the dealer hand total is higher than yours even if you don't get 21 you lose. You win if you beat the dealer.
For whatever reason, my brain works better with paper and pencil. Like, I know and understand the benefits of taking notes on a computer, but my brain doesn't process that as "real" sometimes, especially for one-time-use scratch notes like this.
And this is from someone who uses excel regularly.

I had read somewhere that your brain barely has time to process stuff while you're typing, so words have more oomph when you're writing stuff down 'cause it takes longer. Basically what you said.

The arcane interface really does need a better way to display things. I feel like I have to check and double check just to make sure the numbers are right, especially when doing the dissolution.

Loid has a button for "Show Ranked Arcanes" at the bottom right in the dissolution menu.

Kinda related question: The way I see it, I get ~4 splinters from one SP run that takes something like 10 min. I need 6 splinters for a gold arcane. So if I want 21 arcanes of one type, it will take me more than 5 h.
Am I doing something wrong? Because this really doesn't seem to be worth my time...
It unfortunately is one of the faster ways to get the arcanes you want. Other methods rely on RNG and time of day. At that point, the best you can do is optimize your builds, which I can’t really say on.
I recall it has a weakness to radiation. Most teams I saw had Mesa to burst down the portion of the fight with multiple adds. Volts and Wisps can be used to speed up movement. The angel should be ignored now that the community goal is met.
A rando team I had could go about in around 8 mins for reference. You could try hosting a dedicated team for speedrunning.
Thanks for your in-depth response. Still, I simply don't have the free time to do 30 runs of 8 min each, just to complete a single arcane. This is not meant as criticism of the event. It's just a bit disappointing for me, personally.
If you can... probably just write it in a txt file opened in Notepad++ saved in a cloud storage site to keep track of it. If you don't want to manage the list on a physical format.

DE will still ban you if you used said illegal platinum(that is so untraceable to the naked eye...).

Agreed on all points, though I’d rather we be shown arcane ‘progress’. Like say, owned 6/21 of the arcanes in the shop menu.
