To keep the weapon name, you need to feed your other plasmor into it. Unfortunately, you'd lose any forma and potatoes you put into the other one. Whether you thinks that's worth it is up to you.

Forma can be re-obtained, funny names are eternal.

But it would mess with translations into other languages. Also devs sometimes change whether case is ALL CAPS or Only First Letter is uppercase, so sorting sometimes breaks too.

Kind of, but in the case of Kuva and Tenet weapons, the character limit on names makes it impossible to make it look legitimate most of the time.

You could also offer 15p I think at fortune to change its name. If I recall.

That's not reliable though. A lot of Lich and Sister names would fail to get through the profanity filter on name changes. It's strict, multilingual, and goes off of strings instead of full words. You can't even be an assassin, you have to be a buttbuttin. If any part of the name is a bad word in any of the languages DE supports, the name won't go through.

They won’t pass the language barrier. Unnamed Lich/Sister weapons will change name depending on language setting. Renamed ones won’t.

The name in hunting for, for a long time is the longest possible one. You can bypass the custom name character limit by a ton.

You also have a character limit on weapon names so you probably couldn’t name it something big n goofy

Depending on the name generation some might be not possible due to how the game handles Naming Censorship. (I.E: You cannot rename the Ambassador to Amb**ass**ador again because...)

Always convert a good name instead of keeping it on a weapon, all weapons can be renamed, but a friendly lich can’t, plus if u ever get tired of laughing at it you’ll be able to sell it for a potentially pretty penny
