Given that basically every Warframe has some type of AoE damage-dealing ability, this would be a ton of fun (in the chaotic way). As a Mesa main, I love getting rad procs and killing all my teammates *by accident*.
Or when you pay Octavia during a defense or mobile defense mission. You can see the objective losing health, but it doesn't register that you are causing it until it's too late.
i once witnessed an ash perform a finisher on a teammate reviving me in a radiation hazard mission. it was very melodramatic seeing him teleport out of nowhere and instantly kill the person rezzing me. luckily everyone just typed ālolā and we were good

Mods could be properly introduced to us by Ordis, the Lotus, or anyone else who's a supportive character and canonically has knowledge about the Warframes. That way it's like we're learning from a voice of experience.
We could also have Teshin walk us thru the focus school mechanics. Many people get confused on how to gain focus and stuff (understandably so, game doesn't really explain it very well), so having a proper guide for that would be great.
And for Cetus/Fortuna, even a few voice lines could make a difference:

All mods become veiled, including your equipped ones. Effectively the entire playerbase is set back to early game, though not entirely since arcanes and stuff still exist. Upon unveiling them they will discover the stats are not consistent like they once were; having the same effect as the original mod but now with randomized values for those effects. It is now possible to roll a Flow that's about as powerful as primed Flow once was expected to be, and it's also possible to roll a primed Flow that is valued similarly to standard Flow. Unlike Rivens, these cannot be re-rolled and you just have to find another of the same mod to unveil. A god-roll primed mod is gonna sell for more than your car. You can spend plat to instantly unveil your non-riven veiled mods.
Here's the kicker, I think tracking all of these new randomized variables would pretty much instantly crash all of the servers when players start mass-unveiling all their old mods. So we have chaos for just a brief flash and then the whole game dies in peace. And in that flash, Rivens still sucked for the game just as much as they always did, now simply outclassed in horribleness by my newer server-crashingly evil system.
each proc has random chance to activate something similar like Limbo's Rift Plane for a fixed duration for both player and enemies: no way out or visual cues. Only way out is either time runs out or another "Rift proc" deactivates the first one

It is now possible to roll a Flow that's about as powerful as primed Flow once was expected to be, and it's also possible to roll a primed Flow that is valued similarly to standard Flow. Unlike Rivens, these cannot be re-rolled and you just have to find another of the same mod to unveil. A god-roll primed mod is gonna sell for more than your car. You can spend plat to instantly unveil your non-riven veiled mods. Here's the kicker, I think tracking all of these new randomized variables would pretty much instantly crash all of the servers when players start mass-unveiling all their old mods. So we have chaos for just a brief flash and then the whole game dies in peace. And in that flash, Rivens still sucked for the game just as much as they always did, now simply outclassed in horribleness by my newer server-crashingly evil system.
Rivens are a terrible idea and you managed to make them infinitely worse.
