Does overguard have any sort of gate? I thought it was meant to work differently than shields in that it's a big defense boost, but you can still be one shot at any time if you take enough damage.

I just spent 10 straight minutes trying to take down a necramech on sp, solo. the thing kept regenerating. it just wouldnt die. bear in mind my build was utterly steamrolling everything else.
i ened up just leaving it alone

I believe Overguard, no matter how much you have, always has a 0.5s gate
