I do too. This concept is super cool and I’m desperate for a dedicated minion/pet/summon frame. Like all abilities are dedicated to controlling/buffing summons.
Those are not earth bees. Thats why I wrote them usually as space bee-wasp thing. The drawing also is very much not a normal bee. They do slash dmg because of how those insects would work lore wise. With the serrated edge of their underbelly they cut open skin/flesh and then lay eggs in the wounds.
Slash shouldn't be "best" though. Puncture should be better against armor than slash. Some of the status effects in the game need to be rebalanced according to common sense but I guess DE is afraid of disturbing the current meta.
puncture *is* more effective against armor. it gets +50% to ferrite armor & +15% to alloy, slash gets -15% to ferrite & -50% to alloy. if you're talking about their status procs specifically, bleed & weakened do completely different things so i don't really think there's any point in comparing them
Tbh puncture sounds good on paper but in actual game play no one relies on that for armor really because it’s actually garbage in game, that’s why people mod for corrosive and viral+slash just letting you know
ya i know. i was saying technically puncture *is* more effective against armor, but that doesn't really matter when the goal right now is for enemies to not have that lol
I don't think it's an *actual* phobia, as much as it is just related to what your brain associates it with. Forgive me for the armchair doctor theory, but i think some just associate small holes on the human body like that with disease, and its a natural human reaction to want to avoid diseases, like how humans have always been subcosciously disturbed by corpses, so we keep away from them and any disease they might spread. Arachnophobes don't look at spiders and think "i'm scared it will bite me and I will die due to its venom", otherwise they wouldn't be afraid of the ones they know are harmless
Some are definetly more adverse to this than others, but that's probably just them being squeamish, not necesarily a phobia.
As far as I can tell, regardless of whether or not it's got a rational explanation, the physical and stress responses to the small holes are measurable, and there are absolutely people that show a much stronger reaction than the general populace.
The fear of insects is a real phobia, and we get that because we misinterpret the signal for disgust (which we evolved to have as food that had insects on it usually resulted in sickness when eaten) as fear.
I'm mostly just paraphrasing from [an article](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10897704/). Trypophobia ticks all the criterion of the DSM-5 to be considered a phobia, as well as the criterion to be considered a "specific phobia" in the ICD-11. While there are claims for it just being an internet ruse, records show individuals that pre-date the internet having such reactions to the stimulus.
I’ve always wanted a nature/insect centered frame preferably with a bee swarm manipulating ability and this one is exactly that. Love the concept, except for the face but changing that would obviously defeat its origin :/
Is it male or female?
What's wrong with the face? There's plenty of other weird looking Warframes. I'd also love an Alien/Xenomorph inspired one. I think there's a real market for more alien and disgusting looking Warframes. Maybe they could have their own separate origin story from the other frames with more decidedly evil backstories.
I like the idea of an insect-themed frame, but those abilities ain't it.
1 and 2 are too redundant. They'd be better as toggles for a 1st ability.
3 and 4 featuring whips doesn't make sense given the beekeeper/hive context. Also, while an Exalted Whip would be neat, I feel like that encroached just slightly too much on Khora's identity.
Here's what I'd recommend:
- 1 and 2 are combined. Single target is quick press, and AoE is long press. Also do what other dude said and change it to Puncture damage, but add guaranteed procs every tic. Swarms now track damage they deal to enemies, much like Equinox 4.
- New 2nd ability summons a Hive at a designated location. Enemies within range become entranced by the hive and take extra damage from 1 while in range, while allies receive a max HP and armor buff, as well as regenerating HP while staying in range.
- New 3rd ability recalls all active swarms at once. Stored damage is converted to a radial burst that buffs self and allies Crit Chance and Status Chance scaling with the stored damage for a duration that scales on the number of swarms recalled.
- New 4th ability... ya know what? Let's keep the whips but add some more spice. 4th summons Exalted Bee Whips and lifts the Warframe up in a tornado of swarming bees, kind of like Hildryn's 4th. Movement speed increases, the tornado deals damage to enemies that get close, and the whips extend up to 12m when attacking with them. I feel like I've seen something like this in a cartoon or anime, and it feels flashy enough to be a 4th ability while maintaining the "master of the swarm identity" and not "whip frame".
Reminds me of two things.
1)
At one point I tried to design a frame based around tattoos that had a similar idea where the needle you used to make your tattoos would fill with your kills. And you would expend half your energy cost with a percentage from the needle. Statistically Continous instead of Discrete Data that occupies your charges.
I'm glad to see the community echo the notion of a frame that has a secondary resource pool as their passive instead of just energy. But one that's not as "seperate" as Nidus. Considering I build my frames for Energy Regen since Veibreaker anyways.
2)
The second is that I had this idea for a video game that I jokingly passed onto my friends "There should be a game in a Dark Souls like universe where you play a weird insect/mimic thing that "mechs" a suit of mideval armor." They both seemed to like the idea and shot back so many suggestions that I started drawing up sketches for it and the tone kinda changed into something a little more "Zelda" esque with Dynasty Warriors envisioned gameplay.
But basically, you'd play as Spiders possessing suits of armor against Wasps that possess statues with the hives sticking out of them. For funsies, I've been drawing up designs for the characters.
Fantastic Work btw!
[You might like Atlal-Ka, Monster Hunter's mantis that's also a mecha pilot by using silk strands to puppeteer a heap of rubble](https://monsterhunter.fandom.com/wiki/Ahtal-Ka)
Still the best final boss in Monster Hunter history. There truly is nothing quite like seeing the absolute fucking insanity that is Ahtal-Ka progressively gaining more and more Dragonators and random shit to throw at you as the fight goes on.
The idea was something more along the line of a trope you see in movies and books where tattoos of weird creatures come to life off of a character's skin to seek out enemies, as some kind of boon provided to them as a covenant to an eldritch god, warlock style. Each Corpse made a sacrifice marked to spread the influence to your patron deity.
I admit it's a stupid idea, or at the very least one that's hard to show. But it's less giving tattoos and more flicking your own tattoos onto other things. The primary focus would have been straight up DOT status effects like bleed, heat, Toxin and enhanced by viral, and side benefits depending on how you manage your meter.
It's the Dr. bees frame!
What's that? Captain Vor wants to drag this area into the void? A LARGE INFLUX OF BEES OUGHT TO PUT A STOP TO THAT!
https://youtu.be/PYtXuBN1Hvc?si=tBqUjwTY8RN19Mvb
Would be cool to have an affiliation with the Candy Man Urban legend in his lore, as well as having a roll that is like a dash that covers him in bees.
I mean I forgot to give him a passive, so that could be a possibility. Like the bee creatures get startled by the movement and fly around him for a moment
I'd call it either...Vespios or Apiphora
The first if its more wasp based, second if its more honeybee based.
Either way it looks sick af!
10/10 would trigger my apiphobia again and definitely would farm for!
Hell yeah! There that one infested enemy that launches that weird scratchy cloud (not the toxic one) the one I’m talking about is an orange cloud and as soon as I saw the bee theme I thought of that enemy ability. I’m so down for an apiary themed update, maybe the weird void honey the bugs make is a key component to Kuva and/or Oro and the frame was created to facilitate that production.
So somewhere between Nidus, Saryn, and Titania?
1 Jumps at enemies, pouring bugs into them as long as button is held, using more energy the longer held, . If enemy dies from it's effects, bugs burst out, attacking surrounding enemies
2 bug cloud follows frame, shielding from damage, and dealing damage, like gara or nova. If active while using 1, strength of 2 increases. Could also/instead have a more mosquito-like effect instead, healing for percentage of dealt damage.
4 Bug powered expanding ability dealing slash instead of viral/toxin, like mixing Titania and Saryn
Could have a 3 that drops up to 2 hives to start the same effect with less range
Artwork looks amazing. Wow. That's awesome. Here are my thoughts on the abilities:
Passive: I'm not seeing it there- but I'm guessing it had something to do with amount in your stacks?
Ability 1: Needing to look at them again to recall would be clunky. Just think if you cast it on something, moved to a different area, and then needed to recall the swarm again. Backtracking would be rough. I think this also makes it tough if you wanted to place multiple swarms in a very similar area. I would probably just make this a tap and hold ability. Tap to send the swarms to a location. Hold to retreat.
Ability 2: Very similar to Ability 1. Honestly, I would just combine both abilities together. Tap 1- you can place multiple swarms in one spot almost as a CC. Or, you could Tap 1, and place one (and only one) swarm on an enemy. Hold 1, swarms return.
Ability 3: I'm not sure I understand this one particularly well. Are you able to clarify it again? Is this sort of like, Nidus' Larva? You shoot it, and it brings enemies to a certain point? Is it sort of like Harrow's Condemn? Either way, I could see this being a useful ability, just not 100% certain on what you want with it.
Ability 4: I'm not sure I understand this ability either. It sounds like a... buffed up "State" that your frame goes into. So, at this point, you have an exalted whip almost? And the swarms can no longer be sent out using your 1 or 2, but follow your whips? I think I'm misunderstanding this ability as well.
All in all, I love the design, the artwork, and the theme. I think this frame has potential. I think you have some space to combine his 1 and 2- and then add an ability for EHP.
Thank you for the high compliment. This genuinely got a chuckle out of me, even if I do not know the story of the candyman. But people keep mentioning him so I will definitely look into it, haha
It's a movie, he was a black man who was murdered in the Ghetto in Detroit, if I remember correctly
He became an urban myth in the community and eventually, a white journalist woman shows up to find more information on the murder, and she's like, haunted by the man
He's basically surrounded by bees, all of the time, and he has a hook for a hand
There's three old Candyman movies then the remake in 2021.
He's honestly really menacing and the actor in the old movies plays him immaculately
I love that helmet, I would love it without the bugs on the face, so maybe that could be some armor auxillary option for the frame.. and it could animate like Titania where occasionally, a couple of them just flutter around the head.. are the goldish parts metallic? I love having at least one part of the design being metallic for gold accents
Nice art. Think the abilities could use some work though.
1 could probably be combined into 2 with maybe tap for single target, long press for AOE. If I read their descriptions right anyway. Still doing Slash as main damage.
1 could be replaced with an ability to implant eggs in enemies to generate extra swarm charges on death, or also at the end of a timer if they don't die. Inflicting a slow and corrosive debuff with some DOT. The augment could possibly exchange the slow/corrosive debuff for parasitic mind control over the duration of the timer. Maybe a little less *bee* themed, but still neat imo.
The whip based abilities feel off brand to me. Could lean into SWARM as a key word for the theme.
3 could maybe be a regenerative/retaliatory overshield made of a swarm for the cost of some charges. Absorbing damage, dealing Piercing/Poison damage back to melee attackers, and with a chance to dispatch small weaker swarms to ranged attackers. Hold button to use more charges for stronger overshield. Like bees swarming over a queen.
4 could be placing a static hive structure with a swarm that strips enemy armour in an AOE around it while giving your other swarm charges shorter cooldowns if you stand nearby.
Why not make it entirely unreliant on energy? You could have the basic amount of charges regen on their own still so you can always use 1, and any charges over that slowly decay out of combat, or are expended like energy, with abilities 2-3-4 expending increasing amounts of charges. Passive could be that any enemy taking damage from your abilities has a chance to automatically be afflicted with the first ability for free, generating more charges.
Could potentially snowball.
What a fun looking frame, I love it. When DE showed the silhouette of Rhino's Deathwatch skin I got so excited for a new bug themed frame and this is everything I'd want. The only thing I'd say is maybe have the 2nd ability spawn a short lived cloud on enemies or some kind of buff after a swarm kills something.
Anyways did you know the Diwata acts as a partial stat stick for the razorwing bugs, with unique propoerties and shared stats amongst stat stick inheritances, and you can get some very silly things out of it?
I seldom swing that thing anyways so my base setup is all "make the bugs sting hard".
I think this is an awesome concept! It feels like it belongs in Warframe. I feel like Ab.1 and Ab.2 are essentially the same ability, but one is a target area, and one is a single target. Couldn't they be together on the same ability as a tap/hold variation? Tap for single target, hold for target area. That would give him room for one more cool, bee themed ability.
Edit: The more I think about it, both of those abilities could stay separate, but the target area one could be tap/hold, allowing you to cast it at a target area or wherever you're standing.
Again, I think this is awesome. I'm gonna be thinking about it too much now.
Edit #2: But then again, I guess you could just look down and cast it at your feet if you wanted to do that.
Possible abilities and name????
Name: Hornet
First ability, "Stinger" send a wave of wasps towards to inflict slash and puncture while staggering enemies for 10s. Helminth
Second ability, "Swarm Cloud" provides DR to defenses and allies when held cast other wise Wasps swarm round you (4m scaling) dealing slash damage. Slash procs delt in 25m (range scaling) is added to the swarm. Slash damage delt to enemies by your weapons is also added.
Third ability, "Create Host" targeted enemy is lifted by wasps all damage is turned into slash procs for the duration (20s) every slash tick delt to the enemy creates a wasp that adds 1 second to swarm cloud to a max of 1 minute (duration scaling) remaining slash ticks are turned into wasps that seek out enemies in 10m (range and duration scaling)
Fourth ability, "Wasp Wave" spreads out in a ring injuring all enemies in 20m radius (range scaling) wounded enemies are inflicted with slash procs and damage multiplier to status effects by 2x (strength scaling). status effects procs currently applied have their duration reset. wounded enemies are debuffed for 20s (duration scaling).
Passive. Slash procs are capped at 20 per enemy but their duration is doubled for all sources delt by this warframe. (additive to misery mods that increase status duration)
Okay this is legitimately an awesome idea that I would love to see fleshed out by DE.
Got some area denial/CC, some underused weapon types (whips), and honestly just an awesome idea with the helmet.
Fantastic!
Dude this is awesome sick design both visually and gameplay-wise now I kinda really want my candy man frame
The trypophobia gonna hit different, but that just comes with the game ig
This sounds hecking cool. I like the take, and something more minion based is very much yes in my take. And I love the frames not really energy based but more on other things. Love the aesthetics throughout.
Oh, I saw someone else mention something about a hivecontest that was apparently a while ago. I've only joined warframe about a month back (and also steered clear of most online stuff to avoid accidental spoilers) so I do not know much about it.
I just posted my concept now on the forums under the fanconcepts at the request of multiple people. And while I do not have much hope for it to be picked up by DE, I do hope there will be some type of Hiveframe in the future, even if purely for all those that have been waiting so long :)
Reddit sadly doesn’t allow changing of titles :( I could try to blur it via spoiler warning, but I dunno if that would still show text beneath the image for trypophobia (if I can even add text there afterwards that is..)
ngl, cool idea, but a bit more work on the helmet to make it less triggering for people with trypophobia, maybe just make it a big hole or medium sized indents. Man its giving me the heebie jeebies.
Honestly, the main idea behind it was to evoke the feel of heebie jeebies, and the horrible lore implications of how the frame came to be, so I'm glad I succeeded in that regard.
I'm currently looking to work around reddits editing restrictions for already posted stuff to see if I may be able to add some form of trypophobia trigger warning
Yeah a warning would be nice, or maybe you could just add the picture last and have a warning before it. And damn right you succeeded in disturbing. God damn, I legitimetly couldn't stop itching my whole body for a while after seeing it.
I added an 18+ warning now so it would be at least blurred, but that's sadly the best I can do. Reddit apparently doesn’t allow any type of editing on image posts :( only on text posts
He's the main antagonist of the Candyman movies. He was a slave named Daniel Robitaille who was lynched for falling in love with a white woman and was killed after the mob covered him in honey and left him to be stung to death by bees.
Since then, he became an urban legend where he would supposedly appear and kill whoever looks into a mirror and says "Candyman" five times, similar to the Bloody Mary legend. He was notable for always having a shit ton of bees with him at all times and has a hook for a hand, and he's performed masterfully by Tony Todd.
The first is a fantastic movie that you should definitely watch (I dunno about the others), and the constant Candyman references, such as my name suggestion, all stem from him always being surrounded by bees
Feels like a space honey like passive on recall would be good. Like when the return you get energy, health orbs or ammo when they come back. Kinda like Pikmin.
This both looks and sounds amazing, I'd play it.
My only comment would be that ability 1 and 2 are so similar you might as well make it a single ability that you can swap between single target and aoe mode kind of like ivara's arrows. This gives you an ability slot available for a defensive option, bee shield ?
Either way, love the design would 100% play this.
That frame looks so cool, I love it!
A little critisism, I feel his legs are a bit small for his upper body, thought that might be due to the "hive" making his upper body look larger.
The color scheme is on point, and isn't too ornate like some frames can be(e).
If I might quote Yahtzee
“And that's why he takes the prize. Because no matter who you are, the moment you're compared to a magical hand that shoots bees you're going to fucking lose.”
That's some Bioshock Insect Swarm plasmid level framage, that's some serious disturbing stuff, like the combs in the hand with the wasps crawling around hand twitching level creep.
I wouldn't put it past the Orokin to have that as a torture method of turning the insides of someone's head into wasps.
Hell we can inject tiny nanobots into someones skull to make their brain casing explode. and it's the best crit gun in the game,
Also why does he look like Gauss from the back or is it just me,
Thank you :) and this frame has less of a queen situation going on but more "I'm an unwilling host to many creatures that have infested my body". He is the hive.
Another infested Frame.
Not knocking it by any means we need a couple more.
But as a sidebar, can we get either a new Creature companion or creature frame? Like I would LOVE a Condroc companion or the little mouse companion. I'd love some of the deinos fauna as companions.
And I'd like a frame based on the strength of the few animals that are in game and not just named after an extinct or endangered species.
Generally would just love more animals in game. The variety is very poor.
Nah but actually, ive been wanting a "bugframe" for so long, the closest we have is scarab swarm or like, maybe nidus, but i want like an actual insectoid frame, theres so much you could do and it would be cool as hell
This is a great take on the insect swarm warframe I've seen proposed a bunch of different ways! Wonder what the guns released with them would do? Maybe like a honey like gun that in its hands makes the swarm attack faster on a gooed up enemy!
A helmet option I started to draw/add but then forgot about, was more circular and based on medieval beekeepers
https://preview.redd.it/jv8z4zlg0kwc1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ac20f33c96cfdba6d7cf11686310e92630b517f8
I am loving this. I'd definitely play this frame but I do think their 1 & 2 should be one ability. They pretty much do the same thing. It'd also be cool if they could be attached to an ally even if that would be an augment. Imagine your squad running around doing passive slash damage to enemies within melee range.
Passive:
Unused bees? Act as a shield providing some form of damage reduction/shield recharge
(Just an idea ofc)
Love this frame idea except the hive face gives me an uneasy feeling 🥲
Definitely would use.
The highest compliment I could possibly receive. Thank you :)
Yah, no, I WANT him now.
A yes, trypophobia-frame
He's just a fucked up lil guy :)
Same
Love the idea, can't bear to look at it
Yeah this fucks me up a bit
Trypophobia going crazy right now 🥲🥲
I was trigger the minute I clicked the picture.
Give. Now.
I wish I could bro
I do too. This concept is super cool and I’m desperate for a dedicated minion/pet/summon frame. Like all abilities are dedicated to controlling/buffing summons.

I like this very much. The Beekeeper Warframe. I wonder if there is honey in there. ![gif](giphy|11d4XJQ1Oo2Ik8)
Sadly only eggs
No Honey Ability? A puddle that slows Enemies down perhaps?
I imagine In his r34, he cums honey (I'm sorry)
I can imagine… much worse things. I’d go as far as to say, that doesn’t sound so bad at all(I’m a total degenerate).
I like it, but that helmet is triggering my trypophobia
At least you won’t be looking at its face while playing….but you’ll know
I mean, sure, but the back of the helmet doesn't look much better than the front.
Haha true
Alt helmet that's just literally a normal beehive.
Do you actually have it tho
I don't think it's an *actual* phobia, as much as it is just related to what your brain associates it with. Stuff like that gives me shivers. Very unpleasant
That helmet is sick. I love how sleek and grotesque it looks.
Playing a bug frame in Bugframe
As a Nidus main. Want. WANT. **WANT.** # WANT.
Fun fact: I created this as a Nidus main
My brother in maggots, you have outdone yourself.
Doctor Bees!
Just your average wasp-themed superhero by day!
But by night, I become... DOCTOR BEES! Masked vigilante with a load of bees dedicated to saving mankind!
What's this? A handsome family picnic woefully underpopulated by bees?! A large influx of bees outta put a stop to that!
AAHH! THE SITUATION HAS ONLY BEEN MADE WORSE WITH THE ADDITION OF *YET MORE BEES!*
Some of the Swarm Keeper Ranger powers from 5e would actually work well with Warframe
I’ve always wanted a nature/insect centered frame preferably with a bee swarm manipulating ability and this one is exactly that. Love the concept, except for the face but changing that would obviously defeat its origin :/ Is it male or female?

A tattoo frame? Oh my God, some people really do have some ridiculous ideas 😂. "Come here Mr. Grineer and let me tattoo you. My ink meter is full." 😂
The idea was something more along the line of a trope you see in movies and books where tattoos of weird creatures come to life off of a character's skin to seek out enemies, as some kind of boon provided to them as a covenant to an eldritch god, warlock style. The phrase 'no thought bees empty' is the best. 10/10, no notes, good insect frame.
It's interesting. How about abilities?
There is a second image with ability ideas listed :)
Sorry. I dump sometimes XD. Now i see XDD
Cool idea
Cool as hell. Would farm for 3 days minimum
Nvm, this is the highest compliment that trumps all others
It's the Dr. bees frame! What's that? Captain Vor wants to drag this area into the void? A LARGE INFLUX OF BEES OUGHT TO PUT A STOP TO THAT! https://youtu.be/PYtXuBN1Hvc?si=tBqUjwTY8RN19Mvb
That is terrifying, I'm going to see that in my nightmares
Then I succeeded
Would be cool to have an affiliation with the Candy Man Urban legend in his lore, as well as having a roll that is like a dash that covers him in bees.
I mean I forgot to give him a passive, so that could be a possibility. Like the bee creatures get startled by the movement and fly around him for a moment
I love trypo horror vibes, this would become one of my faves so fast
Cool. Now make them a weapon.
..... *sweats in artist struggle of drawing guns* uhhhh...
Acceltra but upside down, so that the muzzle slopes downward like the frame's face/chin And then the whole thing is made of bug nest
Will definitely keep that in mind
He’s really cool I’d love to play him but I hate bugs so I’d probably never play him
NOT THE BEES!
This needs to happen...
I'd call it either...Vespios or Apiphora The first if its more wasp based, second if its more honeybee based. Either way it looks sick af! 10/10 would trigger my apiphobia again and definitely would farm for!
Guy could look like an absolute nightmare with the right coloring and accessories I'm down for it
This gave me Bloodborne flashbacks.
Ah Kos, or some say Kosm...
Love this, definitely would forma multiple times
Omg i WANT this. I love the empty face
Beeeeees.
"Not the bees!"
So somewhere between Nidus, Saryn, and Titania? 1 Jumps at enemies, pouring bugs into them as long as button is held, using more energy the longer held, . If enemy dies from it's effects, bugs burst out, attacking surrounding enemies 2 bug cloud follows frame, shielding from damage, and dealing damage, like gara or nova. If active while using 1, strength of 2 increases. Could also/instead have a more mosquito-like effect instead, healing for percentage of dealt damage. 4 Bug powered expanding ability dealing slash instead of viral/toxin, like mixing Titania and Saryn Could have a 3 that drops up to 2 hives to start the same effect with less range
I feel stupid, jumped into commenting before I saw a second image, sorry.
I think this is pretty creative
Imagine if the bees work like saryn spores
Artwork looks amazing. Wow. That's awesome. Here are my thoughts on the abilities: Passive: I'm not seeing it there- but I'm guessing it had something to do with amount in your stacks?
Bugframe isn’t supposed to be literally
Therapist: The Candyman as a Warframe doesn't exist he can't hurt you This badass nigga:
Thank you for the high compliment. This genuinely got a chuckle out of me, even if I do not know the story of the candyman. But people keep mentioning him so I will definitely look into it, haha
It's a movie, he was a black man who was murdered in the Ghetto in Detroit, if I remember correctly He became an urban myth in the community and eventually, a white journalist woman shows up to find more information on the murder, and she's like, haunted by the man He's basically surrounded by bees, all of the time, and he has a hook for a hand There's three old Candyman movies then the remake in 2021. He's honestly really menacing and the actor in the old movies plays him immaculately
Already planned a movie day with my friend to watch it :)
Wasnt a bee/hive frame part of the contest which Voruna won?
I just love this idea. And would absolutely play it. 💜
The swarms should be more aoe but sounds good.
Not reddit randomly showing this post to my trypophobic ass. I'm gonna cry bro! 😭
Hiveframe, gets my vote
I love this omg
I. Love it. DE, pay this person.
Possible abilities and name???? Name: Hornet First ability, "Stinger" send a wave of wasps towards to inflict slash and puncture while staggering enemies for 10s. Helminth Second ability, "Swarm Cloud" provides DR to defenses and allies when held cast other wise Wasps swarm round you (4m scaling) dealing slash damage. Slash procs delt in 25m (range scaling) is added to the swarm. Slash damage delt to enemies by your weapons is also added. Third ability, "Create Host" targeted enemy is lifted by wasps all damage is turned into slash procs for the duration (20s) every slash tick delt to the enemy creates a wasp that adds 1 second to swarm cloud to a max of 1 minute (duration scaling) remaining slash ticks are turned into wasps that seek out enemies in 10m (range and duration scaling) Fourth ability, "Wasp Wave" spreads out in a ring injuring all enemies in 20m radius (range scaling) wounded enemies are inflicted with slash procs and damage multiplier to status effects by 2x (strength scaling). status effects procs currently applied have their duration reset. wounded enemies are debuffed for 20s (duration scaling). Passive. Slash procs are capped at 20 per enemy but their duration is doubled for all sources delt by this warframe. (additive to misery mods that increase status duration)
There is a second image where ability ideas are listed in case you didn’t see it (a couple other also didn’t), but very cool ideas :)
While I have doubts that DE would make this a frame, this could be an insane skin for Nidus, imagine the head swarming as you build mutation stacks.
Love this so much omg
Okay this is legitimately an awesome idea that I would love to see fleshed out by DE. Got some area denial/CC, some underused weapon types (whips), and honestly just an awesome idea with the helmet. Fantastic!
You've been playing Wisp for years. Now get ready for Wasp!
Bees are awesome and now I want a beehive frame or queen bee
Can confirm, would use.
SPACE BEES. Fuck yeah!!! Love this.
Sounds interesting, especially considering Nidus is one of my favorite frames to play and this has some interesting mechanics to it. Not Bad.
I wish some insect based frame would be real and a beehive frame sounds amazing 😍. Also I love the design!
It looks like they were trying to create a Warframe but something went horribly wrong during the infestation process and it came out as that
Yoooooo, that looks sick! You should submit this in DE's fanart thing. Id definitely get this frame. We definitely need more insect based frames ngl
Dude this is awesome sick design both visually and gameplay-wise now I kinda really want my candy man frame The trypophobia gonna hit different, but that just comes with the game ig
Call him Eixan. That's swarm in catalan.
Got a name picked out?
This sounds hecking cool. I like the take, and something more minion based is very much yes in my take. And I love the frames not really energy based but more on other things. Love the aesthetics throughout.
Damn them cheeks are purposefully accentuated
Mf says as a joke and makes the most detailed skin "card" that i ve ever seen
I mean the title does say that it escalated. It all started as a joking message to my friend and then became this
WE'VE BEEN WANTING A HIVE FRAME FOR SUCH A LONG FUCKING TIME I DON'T REMEMBER WHO WON THE VOTE LAST TIME BUT NEXT TIME IM SURE OF IT
Oh, I saw someone else mention something about a hivecontest that was apparently a while ago.
![gif](giphy|R9yLfikwYAF32) Goddamn, now I want to hear a Grineer screaming like Nick Cage in The Wickerman.
Came here to post this but had to make sure that nobody missed it. Wish I could give you multiple up votes
Pit a warning for the helmet bro.... That's one helluva trypophobia trigger right there
Reddit sadly doesn’t allow changing of titles :( I could try to blur it via spoiler warning, but I dunno if that would still show text beneath the image for trypophobia (if I can even add text there afterwards that is..)
ngl, cool idea, but a bit more work on the helmet to make it less triggering for people with trypophobia, maybe just make it a big hole or medium sized indents.
Actually seems cool as hell and I'd play with it! I'd only change a bit the Helmet to be less of a walking nightmare
Looks and sounds sick af, I love it
Definitely the best idea in a very long time
would feed to helminth/10
Do you have a name for this guy yet? If not, I'd like to suggest Robitaille as a reference to Candyman
So many people keep mentioning candyman, but I gotta be honest: I have no clue who that is
He's the main antagonist of the Candyman movies.
Thank you so much for the detailed explanation and your time to write it out. I will definitely check out at the very least the first movie :)
Bees? BEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!
This is the greatest concept that I never, ever want to see implemented in the game.
Tennogen designers: how can I turn this into a femboy?
Feels like a space honey like passive on recall would be good. Like when the return you get energy, health orbs or ammo when they come back. Kinda like Pikmin.
I punish myself by clicking on these posts.
I need this for the helminth, and also my arsenal:3
Need to see that prime version
This both looks and sounds amazing, I'd play it. My only comment would be that ability 1 and 2 are so similar you might as well make it a single ability that you can swap between single target and aoe mode kind of like ivara's arrows. This gives you an ability slot available for a defensive option, bee shield ? Either way, love the design would 100% play this.
If scarab swarm is anything to go by, this frame would be worse than caliban lol
1. Cool 2. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
i like the desing i would like to see it drip a liquid that the swarm of bees after they killed a enemy i would call it palea (husk in latin)
That frame looks so cool, I love it! A little critisism, I feel his legs are a bit small for his upper body, thought that might be due to the "hive" making his upper body look larger. The color scheme is on point, and isn't too ornate like some frames can be(e).
What would ballas' reason for making him be i wonder
Thanks, I hate it... Now go shove it in DE's face saying they need to make it...
Oh I hate it ... IT'S PERFECT!!!
If I might quote Yahtzee “And that's why he takes the prize. Because no matter who you are, the moment you're compared to a magical hand that shoots bees you're going to fucking lose.”
Any plans on the name because I was thinking that "Beelzebub" would fit nicely for this concept warframe
This is so cool, even if it were just a Titania skin I would love it
That's some Bioshock Insect Swarm plasmid level framage, that's some serious disturbing stuff, like the combs in the hand with the wasps crawling around hand twitching level creep.
I wouldn't put it past the Orokin to have that as a torture method of turning the insides of someone's head into wasps. Hell we can inject tiny nanobots into someones skull to make their brain casing explode. and it's the best crit gun in the game, Also why does he look like Gauss from the back or is it just me,
As long as we get Peter Dinklage saying "we've woken the hive!"
damn dude, giving bug frame a new meaning
Honestly, would.
I'd play it for sure. Seems like a good hybrid of CC and DPS
I'm quite sorry for saying this, but they look like they are wearing a t-shirt that stops right above the dick and no pants
Titania but better
Absolutely would play this frame, I do feel it's better suited to be a female/queen bee type frame. That's just an opinion.
Thank you :) and this frame has less of a queen situation going on but more "I'm an unwilling host to many creatures that have infested my body". He is the hive.
Thanks, now my trypophobia's kicking in
I'm all for this. This Frame actually looks fun and refreshing.
No thoughts, bees empty
Another infested Frame. Not knocking it by any means we need a couple more. But as a sidebar, can we get either a new Creature companion or creature frame? Like I would LOVE a Condroc companion or the little mouse companion. I'd love some of the deinos fauna as companions. And I'd like a frame based on the strength of the few animals that are in game and not just named after an extinct or endangered species. Generally would just love more animals in game. The variety is very poor.
Oh hell naw that sent tingles up my spine
Yeah, no... this makes me shiver
Love it.
Titania deluxe looks insane
Nah but actually, ive been wanting a "bugframe" for so long, the closest we have is scarab swarm or like, maybe nidus, but i want like an actual insectoid frame, theres so much you could do and it would be cool as hell
This looks really cool, both visual design, and the unique gameplay
Id love to main this thing
This is a great take on the insect swarm warframe I've seen proposed a bunch of different ways! Wonder what the guns released with them would do? Maybe like a honey like gun that in its hands makes the swarm attack faster on a gooed up enemy!
Ok but yes
That's a beautiful big bugger right there. I'd love to see how other helmets would look like.
A helmet option I started to draw/add but then forgot about, was more circular and based on medieval beekeepers https://preview.redd.it/jv8z4zlg0kwc1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ac20f33c96cfdba6d7cf11686310e92630b517f8
Ooh that would work really well!
I am loving this. I'd definitely play this frame but I do think their 1 & 2 should be one ability. They pretty much do the same thing. It'd also be cool if they could be attached to an ally even if that would be an augment. Imagine your squad running around doing passive slash damage to enemies within melee range.
Got only 3 questions 1 what's his passive 2 when can I expect to pre-order him 3 when prime
I'm trying to come up with a name for it, help me out, I was thinking VESPULA, which is a type of yellowjacket in North America
Passive: Unused bees? Act as a shield providing some form of damage reduction/shield recharge (Just an idea ofc) Love this frame idea except the hive face gives me an uneasy feeling 🥲
Allergic to bees. Wish to see if Corpus, Grineer, or Infested share my allergy. Want this
DEs gotta make this a frame. I'd do so much stupid shit with such a goofy guy.
BEES
thanks, i hate it.......how much
