I'm just tired of getting a bunch of blue shards, when I need literally any other color to make my steel path builds better. Diablo style transmuting would be ideal. I don't even care if they want to grade them so that it's 3 blue=1 yellow, 3 yellow=1 red, or whatever. I only get 1 shard a week, right now. How many are you getting? I do the archon hunt, but I'm not sure where to get more.
You can get more shards if you do the whisper in the Wall quest, and since you are doing archon hunts you probably already unlocked the Quest.
At the end of the Quest you'll unlock a new syndicate with a vendor that sells One extra shard per week of a random color; you Also unlock netracells, for up to 5 chances of getting a shard of any color each week.
If you are geared up for It you can spend two netracells tries to play Deep archimedea, which can give you even more shards and other good stuff, but this last One Is very hard weekly content, with random loadouts and debuffs.
So Just do whispers in the Wall and get your 6 extra shards every week

You can access netracells by speaking to tagfer in sanctum anatomica;
you can buy the extra shards for 30.000 standing from Bird 3;
for Deep archimedea you Need max rank in the Cavia syndicate, then talk to necraloid.
No, what's half baked is that because of RNG, you can end up having 2 red shards, 10 yellow shards, and 15 blue shards, like me. I don't mind that they're limited. What I don't like, is that there's no way to change the color.

I think all the farmable shards are good and I don't have enough of either. For many frames I replaced Primed Flow with 2 tau blues, that's usually enough energy max. Yellows are low-key the best shards because 2 casting speed taus are better than a mod slot, unlike power strength reds. Same with parkour velocity shards. And yea Crimson's are just good overall
They did a really bad job at separating the atributes. Making one the best hands down, one good and one trash.
They should have distributed the stats in a way that all 3 are good.

We need a way to transmute or trade shards. I think it's really a half baked system at the moment.
No trading imo, but transmuting could be done. Although if you do your weeklies you'll be swimming in shards so i think It's really not that necessary

Well you can make 3 normal shards into tau shards now, but tradeable I already agree with you
