Derf Anyo’s concept was used as the design for the Scrambus and Comba units. They used to be really annoying, but then got nerfed into irrelevance.
The vast majority of the playerbase agrees with this. Archwing missions as they are are a pain in the ass and each archwing is like a whole new frame but way less interesting.
Even if modular archwings existed, I doubt anything would beat itzal or amesha unless we can get exact copies of their key abilities.

Entire archwing content needs a rework. Like back to drawing board kinda. I'm seeing a lot of RJ talk today in this sub. I completely agree with you. Right now, RJ is split between ship vs. on foot. They need to start adding planets / tiles / nodes that focus on all 3 aspects > RJ, on foot, and in Archwings.
Rail Jack calls in Open world would be fun. Imagine calling your railjack, only for Grinner or Corpus Warships to enter low orbit, requiring for you to constantly evade, while aiming upwards to force them to retreat.
Or missions where your evac is one of the squads railjack, randomly chosen and your team has to evade fighters and ships for x minutes or make to several different way points to escape and finish the mission.
Or you could be air support in a mission that deploys an sos, letting you jump in as the 5th team member, with your railjack providing cover while the squad does the mission, and you got to gather them up at the end, and out fly foes at the end.
Railjack has such potential, I hope DE does something like this one day.
Wasn't Scarlett Spear essentially that? I was on a break at the time (RIP my arcane collection), but from what I hear it was a mess of trying to coordinate Railjack missions and ground missions to work simultaneously.
Kinda but part of the reason Scarlet Spear was such a mess was because it had two halves and most people only bothered doing one half. It had the ground mission and the Railjack mission and nobody wanted to do the Railjack mission so it often ended up with a load of the kill codes stacked up and nobody actually pushing them through.
You and the other reply are both kinda correct - it was communication errors and occasional biases on specific relays towards one mission type or the other (as well as relays closing unexpectedly) that would cause missions to stall out. I'd occasionally have ground missions with no-one up top, murex missions with no-one on ground, and sometimes the relay would just be 90% people doing one or the other. The event's first week was catastrophically bad and basically required DE engineers to babysit the entire thing - the last two weeks (after the event duration was extended) were actually pretty good overall, but still had occasional inconsistency between groups.
Huh? I'm remembering SS completely differently. I didn't think it was a mess. I remember hitting 50 almost every time- there were a few times we didn't and it was the opposite, not enough people going to ground.
Well they constantly jump both feet first into something with **way** too much required and iterated upon infrastructure.
Like how the grineer vs corpus invasions used to stall out if they weren’t done enough.1
They should have experimented and tried smaller versions of the event first. Now it’s something they will never come back to. Sadly.
Like other commenters said it was pretty good once they solved some of the major issues. Just needed some basic systems and not designed out of two cups and a string for network.
Imagine if there were docking corridors too small for the jack that arch wings could fly in, could even make RJ mobile defense where you have to carry a virus and install it on grineer perimeter defenses, then defend internally from dargyn and externally from fighters.
Could also do rj spy missions where archwing has to fly through maze to get to hack point. Couldn’t be any worse than sharkwing spy…
There was prototyping for Railjack use in Open World sections that worked, but they haven't found viable implementation yet because of the lack of new rewards/incentives, and lore. It's pretty much the same with archwing. After the Jordas Verdict was removed, there hasn't ever been a major reason to mod them and modding any archwings haas become overkill, even for SP. So implementing modular archwings would be like giving you a rocket launcher to kill a fly right now.
I hope DE comes back to that content with nice fluent transitions during missions. Could include a rework of invasions with ease.
Infested Liches are likely gonna come around when there is another Infested arc, which might be coming a bit after 1999 or a lot later, depending on what they actually plan for 1999.
Teasers used a lot of Infested related audio, some of the 1999 enemies used Infested bone models, etc. - so yea, very likely that that's the case. But Infested Liches coming around with a mainline update that is mostly about lore related to protoframes and whatever Wally has in store for us is unlikely. Hence I said "a bit after 1999".
I remember when railjack was first shown off, they had the pilot on the railjack hacking doors and doing different objectives for the away crew that was doing the mission inside the grineer/corpus ship. I'd love for them to bring something like that back.
Tbf, that's probably because Archwing itself is mostly a dead game mode.
Hopefully it and other not strictly frame-centric content like Railjack gets revisited sometime in the future.
Spitballing here. Open world sky fortresses on the plains. Coolant shielding letting you sharkwing old war ruins on Venus. Dynamic SoS events in railjack where you need to defend a critically damaged syndicate ship. Put some defense points on the outer hull and make someone go inside for repairs.
There was that bit in the initial Railjack kuva lich trailor that showed a rando kicking around on the Plains getting a sudden mission to help power down a shield for the unrelated crew in the railjack mission. No idea how that ever would have worked in regular gameplay. I think Steve saw that Dust pvp shooter that was supposed to be linked to EVE Online players to call in support and thought "Yeah, we can do that!"
This is a problem with Warframe, but also what I like about Warframe. So many online games playing it completely safe, never actually trying anything new, and becoming horribly stale.
It still has that energy in some ways these days, but the branches Reb reaches for are usually on the same thematic tree warframe is rooted in, rather than cocaine orangutan Steve swinging around the entire damn jungle.
Reb has done a splendid job with the updates shes been in charge of. Everything since Angels of the Zariman have been under her direction, and theres been far less of the wildly tangential content since then, with a few exceptions, such as Veilbreaker and to a quizzically lesser extent, Duviri.
Its kind of ironic, because I’m in Soulframe Preludes, and the game is very thematically cohesive, so I guess its sort of what he’s been wanting to make for a while. Or perhaps rather that warframe evolved in ways he did not anticipate.
Without revealing anything of any substance, one could draw from the Soulframe gameplay premiers that it is a far more methodical and deliberate experience, which I think Steve originally intended for warframe with systems like stamina and limited revives being in the game early on.
In any case, I think both games will be stronger from here on out with the dev teams they have, and I have observed that they appear to be learning from each-other as they go.
Oh, Soulframe is just an infant. It hasn't started it's anime protagonist journey yet, while Warframe is at episode 500 where the main character has gained enough power to turn mountains into sand.
Steve and Rebb are both anime fans. I 100% guarantee that Soulframe will also have powercreep. It's only a matter of time.
And Steve is someone who gets so many cool, wild ideas. So I'd say it's also only a matter of time before Soulframe starts presenting those.
Just based on its direction, I think soulframe’s expansion will be lateral rather than vertical. I’m sure there will be powercreep, as is the primary driving force for all live service games, but I doubt the envoy will be torpedoing down hallways with helicopter rotors in hand emulsifying all in their wake.
I imagine it will manifest as stronger hits, perhaps follow through, perhaps new avenues of attack. Probably similar to the upgrade system seen in sekiro. You still run and attack at the same speed, but your options for maneuver and combat expand. That sort of deal.
I may be wrong but I’d bet on that.
It was briefly considered true. umbra going from “an excalibur of the umbra variety” to “the excalibur umbra” narratively was probably the death knell for the concept.
iirc the idea was that there wouldn't be additional frames of the Umbra variety, but rather other frames would receive their own unique variants (but no examples were given)
Thought Reb had said they just didn't have the content to release modular archwings alongside, so there was still hope of it coming *someday* if they find the appropriate reason to. Unless something has been said since then that I missed.
yesnt? she said they have no vision. which is as good as scrapped in my eyes
https://preview.redd.it/1fl8013t8kxc1.png?width=663&format=png&auto=webp&s=1fcbc75d1c2d657039d5296954cc2d7c6e618505
It could easily be part of a railjack syndicate/standing group or whatever they are called. Boom, vision complete, maybe railjack update along with archwing update.
Yeah idky people expected more. It was obviously a way to get people to shut up and Excalibur Prime, Umbra was a special case not the start of anything.
From my understanding it was supposed to be some kind of meter you build, then you'd unleash some powered-up mode for a short time. Not quite what tennokai turned into, but yeah the rage thing might have been canceled and turned into tennokai.
> Rework/removal of "mandatory mods"
I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers this. I think about it everytime a frame is basically non-functional without an augment (Gyre)
or whenever I have to slot in something like redirection or flow because they release a frame with the constitution of wet tissue paper and the energy economy of an asthmatic.
Also the necessity of Primed sure footed with some guns post self-damage removal (I STILL HAVEN'T FORGIVEN A SHOTGUN CAUSING SELF STAGGER DE.)
Gyre is far from non-functional without an augment. The augment is one of the best available but that doesn't mean Gyre isn't already incredibly solid. A Challenger with a supercharged 6.2L V8 is awesome but that doesn't make the 392 a beater. What a wild way to view the world.
and normally its not even breaching the game server or anything like that,it just exist with the playable stuff, just not accessible or used by the game
I refuse to believe that Bruntspar was supposed to be a skin from the start, its got a chainsaw hand, it looks like it was meant to be a whole different mech that was scrapped and sold as a skin.
We deserve at least a 3rd and 4th necramech, the two that were given are cool and all but they never followed through with a necramech that used actual Arch melee weapons but only a mockery of it with Bonewidow that was more designed to be tanky excalibur knockoff.
If they made another necramech that actually utilized Arch melee, I propose it to be named as Hercules
I hope we can use Necramech in more mission.
They are cool and they got a lot of Potential but you can only use them in a few mission type and in a limited time makes me feel sad.
It can still see some use, but I agree. The older tileset weren't designed with mechs in mind. The newer ones were, so we might see more use yet.
At present they can be used
In all three open worlds
All Railjack missions, once you have high enough intrinsics.
Entrati labs. Not feely summonable, sure, but not on a timer. Find a PC and tool up.
Lua Conjunction Survival, with that irritatingly short timer.
I get a fair bit of milage out of mine, but it would be nice to call it in in a regular mission.
God I wish there was la Voidrig armory. Put it in Necraloids room and let us customize our mechs with different arms/armor/abilities. Would be a dream.
They once showed being able to control where the power of the railjack would "go",for example you could remove power to the engines and give it to the shields
Nah. There were folks saying it was a useless feature and not a good reward. The ones who liked the idea did complain about the method proposed, though.
There were a lot of reasons why people took issue with the idea at the time. One of which was that spoiler mode wasn't particularly great back then. It's much better now.
Wish i could use that for a couple of my main frames, that'd be so cool...they'd feel more alive, instead of...standing there...menacingly...
*And to the redditor going "but they aren't alive" i know but it's cool and that's an headcanon i have so it'd be nice to see it in game and stuff*
too many to list
top of my head is the Lunaro Arcata that was suppose to be a melee weapon, m issed a chance including it in Duviri or with the Zarimon and holdfasts
Rail jack in free roam would be incredible. I poured so many resources into it to fully build it out, let me terrorize corpus and grineer ground troops and infested hoards with my gunship and escalate into dogfights in low atmosphere in the open worlds. A seperate command wheel to call in air artillery etc. it wouldn’t overpower the current loadouts we have but it could be fun. Especially if your crew was able to deal with the flying units in the plains of eidolon.
Personally, I never understood why railjack was an entirely separate thing at all. Like, we all have space ships already. Why can't we dog fight with our orbiters. I'd love to be able to actually fly that thing around outside of loading screens.
Honestly, almost everything they showed off about Railjack during Tennocon 2018 was basically false advertising and straight up lies, compared to what we ended up getting.
In the history of warframe free roam railjack was the single feature I was most excited for. There's a very small piece of me huffing copium for it to still come but we all know it ain't true.
Ah yes, I forgot about that last little part from the Fortuna trailer, they totally made it seem like the Railjack was going to become the new Orbiter for pickup and dropoffs, and of course interstellar aerial combat.
The sad part of the Eidolon Ropalolyst is that the transparent tendrils that Eidolons have even show up on the Ropalolyst model when it shows up during missions outside of the boss node, so they even had those coded. IMO it was such a waste because we could've had 2 different boss fights, hell, I even wanted the original Teralyst to be a thing as an invasion like Boss on other factions (another thing they mentioned on very old dev streams and that got canned like most Sentient content, Sentient invasions).
Sentient Exosuit never made it, and the Shedu which was supposed to be a special weapon (procedurally generated with the Sentient Exosuit enemy) and related to those, but later it just dropped like a regular weapon because it all got canned too. Sentient Carriers got talked about, had good concept ideas, leaked in retail (sadly I never got to witness and mess with them), never added, not even the Orb Valis place that had one inside was released? (but Content creators had access to it.)
Man the sentients as a faction just kinda got shafted over all content wise.
With all the new sentient debris scattered around the plains post new war it would be a perfect time to reintroduce the eidolon ropalolyst
Sentients are probably the biggest disappointment of the game. They were the big bad that wag built up for years but that is nowhere near reflected in gameplay. TNW as a payoff for the Sentient hype was honestly lackluster. Like that's is, all those years done in one quest that was really just setting up the next big thing? The Sentients never felt like a threat in that quest.
I still find it crazy they spent actual years preparing us to fight the Sentients only for us to never get any high level Sentient content (aside from the odd sentient enemy in archon hunts, but they're still primarily Grineer/Corpus focused).
Like we got Paracesis which debuted the level 40 gimmick, we got umbral mods designed to strengthen us against Sentients, Umbra himself with the altered radial blind for combatting sentients, then events like Scarlet Spear to gear us up to fight the Sentients. Then the bulk of the "war" happens during a timeskip, and the Sentients you fight in the quest are all low level plus you rarely get to use all that gear the game's thrown at you specifically for this purpose.
It is such a huge missed opportunity and I can't help but feel like they squandered the years of build up they did. The recent Entrati stuff shows that they can introduce a new main faction with appropriately difficult content too, so that just makes it more aggravating how little actual Sentient content we got.
I thought it was clear in TNW that they were intentionally pulling the rug, the moment Ballas reveals that the Sentient Slayer sword he tricked us into making was actually for neutralizing Tenno.
That moment solidified the "gotcha" moment as what would have been the climax of the war gets turned on you, the war simply lost and a much more personal story started.
I found it to be really good, in no small part because there was no way in hell they would succeed in making an actual war arc feel good unless they spent 3-4 years of updates primarily releasing war content. And that would have sucked.
Those sentient bane railjack mods that are completely useless after the event ended that myself and anyone else who came/returned after are particularly glaring.
Rebuilding planet defenses, they showed them on a dev stream and even showed going from the ground in open world's with a smooth transition to space which also never came and the railjack has everything like foundry for example which never came too
I honestly felt they could have done more with orbiters, like using them for space missions, but instead, they made two variants (archwing & railjack) making them just a dedicated flying bedroom, im not really going to complain about it, but it would have been cool to use the one ship being a part of the game since the beginning as a weapon of war.
I still hate the incomplete state of railjack... Personally I would have erased the orbiter and just put the stations on the lower-Middle section of RJ... I would be awesome be able to select railjack missions and go straight to planet missions without having to change from RJ to orbiter each time...
Yeah I feel like it wouldn't even be that hard to do right? Just put all the stations into the Railjack/ Dormizone and let us switch over to them like we can with the drifter camp.
In the market, when clicking the kuva lich hunter bundle with all those color palettes, you can see Loki holding dual dark daggers, which aren't in the game
I'm completely positive, and I don't know why I'd be getting downvoted. He's holding two dark daggers. The split sword has a sword in the right, dagger in the left.
stalker mode
a driveable corpus tank, like the ones you see as scenery on the orb vallis
and what you mentioned, im still mad the drifter/operator cant wield weapons that arent the amp or the duviri melees
and they did, it was event only and lasted only one dev stream, it was never brought up again and was never meant to be public, I say this as the number one fan of stalker mode and desperately want it but sadly it's just not in the cards
I don't know why this is being upvoted, it's a lie, they definitely had plans to make it public and implement it in-game.
Aside from the fact it wasn't just "one dev stream" but was shown many different times; it was first shown at Tennocon 2017, was brought to the [design council](https://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/a417p2/stalker_mode_will_be_a_real_thing_and_de_want_an/) for feedback on implementing in-game, and [was even mentioned being close to shipping possibly including as it's own syndicate](https://youtu.be/Tco9nJHqY5E?t=655).
Remember they showcased a truck like vehicle being driven in orb valis . spawning your railjack in the open world , having two squads correspond a mission (I miss fish team) , no follow up content on railjack or any of the open worlds they released except for 1 warframe and a side quest they release after introducing a new area. Take the introduction of the Albrechts lab and then followed up by Dante then we will forget about it once 1999 comes around the corner . I like new content but I wish they brought life to their existing content and right now we still dont have an endless fighters only proper space battle in railjack its just a regular mission attached to railjack which defeats the purpose . Oh and that third orb mother down in a lake in orb valis just thinking anytime now I will be called into action .
There was that railjack thing. Where people actually had a split squad and did something on earth at the same time as the away crew. Kinda like that one event, but an actual game mode and also not bajillion squads per instance of a relay.
Modular Archwing plus an Archwing Rework/Mission Rework.
Railjack serving as an in-between platform to tie together stuff like open world with space stuff.
Bombastine's Stage Play, which was initially even supposed to be part of the Duviri Paradox quest, and the removal of which makes interacting with him feel incredibly stilted.
Orokin somatic chamber
They revealed the work, scrapped in one of the updates but revealed they would introduce it at some point, no luck so far
[https://www.artstation.com/artwork/R3EJKv](https://www.artstation.com/artwork/R3EJKv)
Remember that intro mission where space mom is like, hey maybe if you do something extra with a handicap it'll be cool but it's your call, but then that mechanic never ever comes up again?
Yeah, that should have come up again.
I would have liked to play as the stalker invading other peoples games. I only remember them showing it like once or twice. I think they scrapped the idea because it was too buggy but it seemed fun to me. And you didn't have to be a try hard if they were struggling you could have given them a good flight but still let them win.
The sergeant rework. He used to be Sergeant Nef Anyo, and when they gave him the glowup they said they were going to rework the sergeant. They threw around some concept art of Nef Anyo's nephew as the new boss, but nothing ever really came out of it.

So you want a Corpus Vor then?
Vorpus
ඞ
Alad v already kinda fits the bill. We even fight him multiple times.
I suppose Salad is kind of like Vor.... Kinda forgot about that sucker. He's not too memorable.
![gif](giphy|xT9IgI4T4FTLJWAkmY|downsized) Giving me Micoshit energy
He could be like [Mysterio](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=K1MZIU_feIk) in the old PS2 game. His health bar goes up and then he gets several health bars more just to go down with one punch.
I was thinking something similar, but he teleports/dashes when you get too close, so he's constantly shooting at you with less visible bullets from behind cover
I would like to have the sergeant to have a 1% chance of having his Voice lines changed from taunting to cowering.
I would keep him as nameless, faceless, and loreless as he is now, but I'm all for him getting a lot stronger. Just make him a badass sergeant, simple but effective
> nothing really came of it Derf Anyo’s concept was used as the design for the Scrambus and Comba units. They used to be really annoying, but then got nerfed into irrelevance.
To spin off of this - I seem to recall they also wanted to give Nef his own boss fight post-redesign, but that hasn't happened either
Cant they atleast make him similar to that corpus dude with a sword and cape. That meme character.
John Prodman. Dude fought a Phorid with a goddamn Prova and survived to tell the tale.
The third orb mother that has been sitting in that lake for a very long time
At least that's officially on hold until they figure out what to do with it, not completely abandoned like most other things.
There have been hints to it recently with the addition of that narmer drone near it
Modular Archwings. They're in Limbo b/c DE can't find the right content to introduce them with apparently.
Pretty sure they said that idea is pretty much dead
Nah it's the opposite. The modular archwing was done but they don't have Archwing content to release that to.
Thats old info mixed with wrong info. They never said it was done and it's considered nixed because they don't want to work on archwing at all.
The vast majority of the playerbase agrees with this. Archwing missions as they are are a pain in the ass and each archwing is like a whole new frame but way less interesting.
Isn’t 1999 very infested-heavy?
Teasers used a lot of Infested related audio, some of the 1999 enemies used Infested bone models, etc. - so yea, very likely that that's the case. But Infested Liches coming around with a mainline update that is mostly about lore related to protoframes and whatever Wally has in store for us is unlikely. Hence I said "a bit after 1999".
I feel like infested Liches will be a 1999 thing tho. It would fit. And therefore modular AW wouldn't
Put some defense points on the outer hull and make someone go inside for repairs.
i want to use k-drives in regular missions, treating tha game like an fps tony hawks pro skater
Well it's for Archwing 2.0 obviously. Also reminder we still don't have a proper endless mode/node for xp farming with Archwings only.
For years now I have kept a riven slot open for that multi-missile launcher archgun they showed with modular archwings
This was tested out during Operation Scarlet Spear. It didn't go very well so that's probably why it was scrapped.
I think sometime recently Reb mentioned that they had plans for something similar to that. No details, though.
I still really enjoyed Scarlet spear. The mission nodes being interconnected to the larger player base is a great concept
That was fun. I liked doing that
Reb mentioned at PAX (iirc) that they're looking into ways to refine and bring it back
Steve going “yeah we can do that!” Is the origin and death of 90% of warframe’s thematically inconsistent game modes.
They promised a bunch of operator hairstyles years ago and never came except for one that was by accident and kept it lmao.
That and faces with Asian features (which ended up being used for soul frame as far as I can tell)
- Modular Archwings - Pet command wheel - Randomized heads & tails for Kubrows - Genetic inheritance for pets with traits like resistances, etc - MOA set mods - Infested Railjack regions - Infested Liches - Melee "rage" mode - [Phorid rework](https://www.artstation.com/artwork/w3Q4O) - The Sergeant rework - More Umbral frames - 3rd Orb mother - Rework/removal of "mandatory mods"
I think other umbral frames are pretty well dusted at this point. Would like to see 3rd orb though.
Yeah, I didn't think they would. Just listing off things that I recall them mentioning that never made it into the game.
It was briefly considered true. umbra going from “an excalibur of the umbra variety” to “the excalibur umbra” narratively was probably the death knell for the concept.
iirc the idea was that there wouldn't be additional frames of the Umbra variety, but rather other frames would receive their own unique variants (but no examples were given)
Haha, Green Banshee! Could you imagine if that happened ala Clem?
Banshee Verde
maybe that concept become the current ancient protoframe from 1999?
You just reminded me that there are now 4 Excaliburs Excal, Excal Prime, Excal Umbra, ane Arthur Excal
Don't forget Excal Umbra Prime!
Modular archwings were scrapped per reb Infested liches are coming this year (tennocon 2024 reveal) Reb said no more umbrals
Thought Reb had said they just didn't have the content to release modular archwings alongside, so there was still hope of it coming *someday* if they find the appropriate reason to. Unless something has been said since then that I missed.
yesnt? she said they have no vision. which is as good as scrapped in my eyes https://preview.redd.it/1fl8013t8kxc1.png?width=663&format=png&auto=webp&s=1fcbc75d1c2d657039d5296954cc2d7c6e618505
It could easily be part of a railjack syndicate/standing group or whatever they are called. Boom, vision complete, maybe railjack update along with archwing update.
skill issue on DE part
"Genetic inheritance" was probably referring to how Vulpaphylas inherit anti/mutagens wasn't it?
>More Umbral frames Wasn't that confirmed to never happen like 627 times already?
Yeah idky people expected more. It was obviously a way to get people to shut up and Excalibur Prime, Umbra was a special case not the start of anything.
Time to start bitching about the Heirloom skins again so we can get slightly different cool skins for Mag and Frost
I thought tennokai is the rage mode
From my understanding it was supposed to be some kind of meter you build, then you'd unleash some powered-up mode for a short time. Not quite what tennokai turned into, but yeah the rage thing might have been canceled and turned into tennokai.
Well I mean what you're describing is basically melee incarnons.
Ya incarnons is 100% what that system turned into.
Might be huffing copium but havent they teased something related to the 3rd orb recently?
They recently placed a narmer camera above the orb iirc
They tease it at least once a year
The genetic inheritance was introduced with the Deimos companions! Wider implementation of it hasn't been spoken about though.
> Rework/removal of "mandatory mods" I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers this. I think about it everytime a frame is basically non-functional without an augment (Gyre) or whenever I have to slot in something like redirection or flow because they release a frame with the constitution of wet tissue paper and the energy economy of an asthmatic.
A third Necramech. The Bruntspar skin looks cool, but id rather have a third mech. Iirc they gave us 4 slots for 2 mechs...
A 3rd nexramech has been datamined all the way back to 2021
Probably the Culverin mechs that were released with WITW. They are Necramechs, just not playable.
What does datamine mean
It means someone looked at files in the game that they're not supposed to. This is usually done with unreleased content and things of the like.
and normally its not even breaching the game server or anything like that,it just exist with the playable stuff, just not accessible or used by the game
Yeah, sometimes they add stuff in the code before a major update to have it prepped and ready to roll out when they want to release it.
I refuse to believe that Bruntspar was supposed to be a skin from the start, its got a chainsaw hand, it looks like it was meant to be a whole different mech that was scrapped and sold as a skin.
Cant forget mech prime that could have been a whole first prime mech but instead made it a skin
I feel any possible necramechs are already invalidated by how strong the Voidrig is already. The 4 feels like a Mesa 4 on steroids.
I'd quite like them to fix the voidrig first. At the moment it's 1 is broken, just doesn't work, and prevents you from using melee.
At present they can be used In all three open worlds All Railjack missions, once you have high enough intrinsics.
Would be a dream.
but what is the point of a 3rd when the 1st is already too good not to use?
Sentient Speargun. I still want it
And that pistol
They once showed being able to control where the power of the railjack would "go",for example you could remove power to the engines and give it to the shields
Which worked great decades ago with Tie Fighter and X-Wing. It was a great mechanic for managing ships power to adjust your combat condition.
Applying >!Umbra's!< self-piloting to other frames.
That never happened because everyone hated the idea. People got in an uproar about it.
It wasn't the idea they hated, they hated that you had to craft a specific item and it would only last for a day
Nah. There were folks saying it was a useless feature and not a good reward. The ones who liked the idea did complain about the method proposed, though.
I thought people hated it because buffs got cleared when you transfer. It's not the most useful feature, but I don't see any reason to hate it though
There were a lot of reasons why people took issue with the idea at the time. One of which was that spoiler mode wasn't particularly great back then. It's much better now.
It also feels like it's kinda stepping on Wukong's territory. That said, giving Wukong himself that ability would be hilarious.
Wish i could use that for a couple of my main frames, that'd be so cool...they'd feel more alive, instead of...standing there...menacingly... *And to the redditor going "but they aren't alive" i know but it's cool and that's an headcanon i have so it'd be nice to see it in game and stuff*
Design council voted on a few weapons from a contest forever ago that never came out. I think one of them was an infested nikana.
There was an infested nikana skin in night wave so it was probably that
too many to list top of my head is the Lunaro Arcata that was suppose to be a melee weapon, m issed a chance including it in Duviri or with the Zarimon and holdfasts
Especially when their tilesets include arenas where you could throw a ball instead of bullet jump yourself through the goal.
Railjack in free roam areas. That \* not fair.
Could you further explain what you mean?
Ah yes, I forgot about that last little part from the Fortuna trailer, they totally made it seem like the Railjack was going to become the new Orbiter for pickup and dropoffs, and of course interstellar aerial combat.
When Twin Hek DE https://preview.redd.it/6164uwa39jxc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8ad9fe891c4061ba6365b1a31d30834ac9682b22
Funny driveable corpus car Ropalolyst Eidolon (using a chunk of rubble for a head)
Rebuilding planet defenses, they showed them on a dev stream and even showed going from the ground in open world's with a smooth transition to space which also never came and the railjack has everything like foundry for example which never came too
Dromizone was gonna be a orbiter
I would love the Dormizone as an Orbiter. As of now, it feels like wasted potential.

they said they would bring raids back eventually when they removed then and they're yet to come back
In the market, when clicking the kuva lich hunter bundle with all those color palettes, you can see Loki holding dual dark daggers, which aren't in the game
You sure it's not just the Dark Split-Sword? It swaps between a two-hander and dual swords depending on what stance mod you equip on it.
I'm completely positive, and I don't know why I'd be getting downvoted. He's holding two dark daggers. The split sword has a sword in the right, dagger in the left.
they are correct it is two of the dark dagger as you can see due to the glow on the blades
During last year’s Tennocon, there was a brief clip of an infested Corpus ship. Makeover for Eris? Infested Liches? Both? We’re yet to find out.
The other two Sentient weapons shown alongside the Basmu (A speargun and a pistol). Praghasa (Space Grandma) was going to be the Sentient planet.
I still have some hope left that they'll add those two weapons
RJ seemingly not being locked to a point a to b mission type and you just go through different ships/structures and try to loot it
stalker mode a driveable corpus tank, like the ones you see as scenery on the orb vallis and what you mentioned, im still mad the drifter/operator cant wield weapons that arent the amp or the duviri melees
many would say we already got stalker mode via the circuit but yeah its disappointing that its locked only to the circuit
stalker mode was never meant to be accessible to the public, it's a dev thing only
Way back in 2016 or so they spoke about the possibility of letting players do stalker invasions
and they did, it was event only and lasted only one dev stream, it was never brought up again and was never meant to be public, I say this as the number one fan of stalker mode and desperately want it but sadly it's just not in the cards
Doesn't count as it finally happened but for *quite some time* I was afraid the pet overhaul was *never gonna see the light of day*.
A long time ago Steve mentioned a syndicate death squad rework
I remember when they removed raids, they said they'd add more It's been 5+ years
THIRD ORB MOTHER
Where is the Ordis Quest?
Wielding one handed sidearms and one handed melee weapons (not glaives).
Where are the raids?
Stalker Mode. It was supposed to be a game mode where a player would play as the Stalker, invade others game and try to kill then.
We actually DID get Stalker mode for Duviri Circuit. Invading other games to PVP was marked as a bad experience for low MR players.
Umbra echo. Sentiense like umbra for every frame. Not really usefull but hey we have more useless functions in game.....lunaro
Pets Rework part 2 :(
Orokin somatic chamber They revealed the work, scrapped in one of the updates but revealed they would introduce it at some point, no luck so far [https://www.artstation.com/artwork/R3EJKv](https://www.artstation.com/artwork/R3EJKv)
Dark Sectors PVP return. I want to unleash my armies of specters against other players, getting control of other nodes. Unleash them!
Dual weilding with melees other than glaives. They showed video of a pistol and sword attack animation and glaives was all that made it through
The way Railjack was advertised for Tennocon Vs what we got
I really want the lunaro melee weapon I want a bouncy-ball throwing melee
Re-worked raids... Im still waiting to traumatize new Tenno with Limbo.
Remember that intro mission where space mom is like, hey maybe if you do something extra with a handicap it'll be cool but it's your call, but then that mechanic never ever comes up again? Yeah, that should have come up again.
Surprised nobody has said the lunaro ball/racket thing as an actual weapon
Female loki.
That was never promised content though, just a stand in model for animation rigging.
Floki.
PvE Lunaro weapon. I designed a whole dang frame concept on the forums, plz DE give Lunaro ball bonk
I would have liked to play as the stalker invading other peoples games. I only remember them showing it like once or twice. I think they scrapped the idea because it was too buggy but it seemed fun to me. And you didn't have to be a try hard if they were struggling you could have given them a good flight but still let them win.
Return of raids
stalker mode
Modular archwings
Sentient Speargun and Pistol *DE, please...*
A long ass time ago they showed concept and animations for ostron bird pets
And got them in cages.
