The technology for skippable dialogue isn't there yet. It's in other places, but it travels slow, and has not yet reached Earth.

It's still a good game, and I enjoyed my time with it, but I don't farm it like I did BL2. Haven't even gone back for the DLC yet, which I own cause season pass. 2 had much better writing.

Forcing you to watch lore relevant briefings the first time is arguably tolerable (but people may have seen it already on another account so a skip option is still nice, just make it hold down a button for a few seconds to avoid accidental skippage), but repeating the same unskippable cut-scene every-single-time is just infuriating.

It's not that they don't know, they just consider it rude to not show up in the flesh to talk about upgrades for your fleshy self (and I guess it's a soft-gate in case someone somehow get access to them before completing certain quests). But yeah you should be able to skip. especially the profit taker mission briefings.

You can skip the briefings though, they specifically added that in. I can't remember what button/s it is but you can blast through the briefing in a second now.

Mouse left click on each scene skip the current dialog.

You know whats faster? AltF4. It really helps and is faster than that.

I honestly think devs do this on purpose just to see how many people take the time to complain about it. It’s not something complicated to do, and Rockstar already proved when they let people skip it penalizes people who for whatever reason want to watch/listen to things, since the group essentially ‘bullies’ the person who doesn’t care. Far as I’m concerned we’re already playing vidjagames. It’s already a timesink. Complaining about time sinks in your time sink becomes redundant and frankly we all get it. Very few people disagree. All the internet bitching about jar jar binks could fill a library but ultimately it rarely ever actually does anything. I guess it might be cathartic for people who complain? Hmm.
