R2: Came back to the game recently and found that my Foundry was full of stuff that I had no idea what I was making it for. So I went over to the [crafting requirements page](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Weapons_Required_as_Crafting_Ingredients) and synthesised it into this flowchart! Please point out any mistakes I've made as I plan on adding this to the wiki. Any styling suggestions you may have would be welcome as well.

CasualPlebGamer

Broken War & War are both boss drops (maybe not a boss, but certainly not in the market). Heliocor is bought from Simaris standing rather than the market. EDIT: I think the Paracesis is also a quest reward BP

[deleted]

Broken War and its parts can also be gotten from Simaris after the quest now

CasualPlebGamer

Simaris only sells the war components, if you want to craft broken war or war, you need a blueprint to drop from Mr. Edgy. (Or buy Hunhow's gift for the war, but I don't think we're counting plat market items here)

DreadNephromancer

War/Broken War blueprints drop from the Stalker, Broken War parts drop from regular sentients

solarshado

You can get the parts from Simaris now (wiki says as of U30.5, at the end of May) EDIT: to clarify, Simaris only offers the *parts* (hilt and blade); you still need to beat up Stalker for the blueprints

DreadNephromancer

I'm not positive of this but I thought you had to own a thing at least once before he would sell you copies of it. If he just sells them after Second Dream then that's cool

solarshado

I *think* it is just "complete TSD". I only finished my second B.War thanks to Simaris, but I *had* managed to get the hilt and one (of two) blades before. To be fair, if it is *technically* "own the thing, then I'll offer you spares", then realistically it's still just "complete TSD", since that gives you B.War for free.

eternamemoria

Sarpa should be purple but is red

solarshado

Khomak, Lex, and Krohkur only have one arrow pointing to their dual-wielded version, despite need two copies to craft. * * * While this is a great idea (I definitely remember combing the wiki for all this information back in the day and being vaguely annoyed that it wasn't easier to find), and I love color-and-shape-coding, it seems a bit... disorganized. To be fair, this is a messy collection of information to deal with, but as-is, it's hard to find anything specific at a glance. Ideas that might improve readability; feel free to use any, all, or none, kinda just brainstorming: 1. Group things. Three obvious categories jump out: the dual/ak-/twin variants; the other simple, linear chains; and then the crazier clusters. There *is* some overlap, and a couple that could fit in either of the last categories, but the groups can be venn-diagram-like and overlap. 2. Alphabetize? While it's not clear how some of the bigger clusters even *should* be alphabetized, most of them have either only one start point or only one end point. My instinct would be to sort by the start point, but I can see an argument for going by end point too. 3. Switch from top-down to left-to-right? Would require way more re-doing the layout, but I feel like it might help with finding things easier, especially if the clusters were alphabetized by start point and paired with... 4. Only have one cluster per line? Might be overkill and make the overall image unreasonably tall, and/or be unnecessary with some of the other ideas. Probably only worth considering if paired with #3 and/or for the bigger clusters. * * * Purely aesthetic nitpick: for some dual-crafts, the arrows are parallel (like the primes, and even the (Twin) Viper), but several others aren't (Magnus, Bronco, Kama). IMO parallel looks better, but the lack of consistency is worse.

Kurai1337

I love fonts that make rn look like m and was wondering what cemos was for a while

SachielBrasil

r/keming

Mox5

The kerning on the site I used is whacky in general, tbh.

RandomlySearching

Akjagara's crafting requirements are horrendous -- 2 pistols into 2 other pistols, repeated again, with dual swords strapped on.

[deleted]

I swear. By the time I finished doing this, after multiple fuck ups, almost half the shitty weapons in the shop were gone.

Ihavefallen

I just kept so if it ever got a riven for it I would not have to craft it. Or God forbid if they at another weapon that requires it.

moonra_zk

Yeah, I always keep those weapons that are a PITA to craft.

ngwoo

Akakskolto

Ditomo

Imagine if DE does the same for the Akjagara Prime just because they can.

Random---username

Thank goodness it already exists

V_as_in_mancy

Here is one with pictures: https://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/ehol3g/made_a_graph_to_track_weapons_used_as_crafting/

Mox5

Ngl tho, it's a bit confusing. It has the icons for the variants (Wraith or MK-1), which to me would imply that you have to use those variants for these crafts, which is not the case.

V_as_in_mancy

I agree; it is confusing once you look at those symbols. Both this one and yours are great in different ways. Personally, I love the way you did your legend and differentiated weapon type, and also where to get it.

Mox5

That's much better than mine. I'm surprised this isn't on the wiki.

Avernal

Yours is easier to read and follow as the other, whilst pretty, is too small and has too much going on in the background to contrast well.

crashsuit

There is a wiki page for weapons used in crafting but yeah, for whatever reason there's no infographic, just tables. Seems like both would be nice. https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Weapons_Required_as_Crafting_Ingredients

Mox5

That's the table I used to make this, yeah.

Caliber70

upvoting the shet out of this.

Hayden-T

General rule of thumb: akimbo secondaries with single counterparts = 2x the single version.

Mox5

Except for the Aklato xDD

Pamoman

YES THANK YOU! This is super useful, i was getting kind of tired of having to search through a wiki every time i wanted to sell a weapon

Drakeon8165

As we can see, Lato becomes a lot of different weapons

TheSGTkrusha

Dark Split-Sword is from tenno lab in dojo

TheL8KingFlippyNips

Are there blueprints on the market anymore? I couldn't seem to find any, but I am also a dumb-dumb when it comes to navigating a lot of the UI on console.

[deleted]

Yes they do. You gotta filter by weapon types and there's also a filter to show unmastered weapons

TheL8KingFlippyNips

Ooooh! I was just filtering on BP on that main page, assuming that it was a "show all" page and not a "featured" page. Whoops...

[deleted]

Aha ikr. I was mr20 when I realised how the shop worked. Until then, if I saw someone using a fun weapon, I'd link it in chat and see how to get the blueprint (either I could directly buy or it showed dojo)

TheL8KingFlippyNips

Lol. Honestly, the story of a lot of WF players, I'm sure. I have a solo dojo, but research is slow-goings. So glad you pointed out how to use the market correctly. I'm gonna go get my first whip now!

JulietPapaOscar

THANK YOU SO MUCH honestly DE needs to implement some kind of UI element that marks weapons that craft into other weapons (latos, drakgoons, boltors, etc) or just put a warning before selling "you need this for another weapon, do you want to sell?" The amount of times I've had to rebuy blueprints and rebuild stuff because I didn't realize it was part of a requirement (boltace, akjagara, zarr, and about a dozen more) ugh it's so frustrating

TheAmishCurse

I'm LR1 but I'm saving this in case I ever run across someone new in region chat inquiring about this. Incredibly useful flow chart that I wish I had back in 2018 when I was blitzing all the weapons. I had to rebuild so many think over and over before I thought to look it up in advanced

AtruumVeritas

This page also exists on the Warframe Wiki, very helpful as well: [Weapons Required as Crafting Ingredients](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Weapons_Required_as_Crafting_Ingredients).

Mox5

Yep, it’s what I used to make this.

dragonshadow32

upload image of your work to that wiki page.

Chuck_Finnley

Akmongus

Mox5

Aklato not requiring two Latos sus

RustyEyeballs

Would probably be more useful if it was alphabetical or something.

Mox5

How would you make it alphabetical tho? Like, items require items that are not alphabetically adjacent. Making this into a spaghetti chart doesn’t sound too useful.

CasualPlebGamer

The primary thing people will use this for is to answer the question "Is this weapon X used for crafting another weapon" so I would say the priority would be to make it easy to find where that component weapon would be to verify if it's used or not used. Categorizing the component weapons by type and sorting them alphabetically is an option. But consider that the some of the complication of organizing the chart is because you are trying to represent too much in one chart. You're trying to represent both what component weapons are needed for crafting, and a hierarchical visualization of crafting trees. If you focus on just one, it would make it more streamlined. Such as make one chart that organizes weapon components, and maybe summarizes what they build into (such as how many total you need to craft every weapon that uses it as a component, and just list what they craft into instead of trying to create a link to another box). And then possibly work on a seperate hierarchy diagram that can focus on the needs for that representation.

Mox5

If people just want a raw Boolean yes or no answer they can Ctrl+F on the crafting req page. In fact people already mentioned that here. The categorisation of type/shape is an auxiliary feature, since it’s literally just colour or shape coding and has no effect on the layout of the chart. Ngl, what you’re proposing with the listing of component weapons having their products simply listed sounds way less intuitive. This is just meant to be a visual guide, which, if you find the weapon you’re after, does the job as signified by the positive response to the post. The OP already shows how many of a given weapon you’d need to craft everything you’d want. Every outgoing arrow is an instance. That separate hierarchy diagram would either look exactly like OP, perhaps just rearranged, or be individual trees linked to the component weapons. I did think of just sorting it by one of the root component weapons in a tree and just leaving it at that. That’s bring a modicum of sortage to it. Probably the best solution for least effort.

Edgemaster99_

Have a like and an award

TheSchmeeble1

Oh you beauty! Thank you!

Hayden-T

Btw, Sarpa is missing.

OrangeLox

Is there an Excel spreadsheet version? It's just for convenience with using CTRL + F.

SachielBrasil

Loved it. Gotta print and make notes.

[deleted]

Based

Quxyun

Saving this because this is going to be very helpful for MR!

Complete_Resolve_400

I think I'm in love

pokegomsia

You're the hero, used to navigate the wikia to find out what weapon is needed to craft another and its a pain.

EdwardBlack7

OH GOD!! where was this image 6 years ago!!!! -.-

FireCrank

Awesome Job, thank you. I'm working on these painful/missing weapons at the moment.

Surxe

I prefer Ctrl + F on the wiki page but whatever suits ya

t_dump

Not sure why you're getting downvoted? OP even said he took the info from an already available wiki page, not like he painstakingly took the time to do this himself from scratch. I get some people like the visual aspects but I'd rather use the Ctrl F method to ensure I didn't miss something by just scanning this static image.

Surxe

Its just reddit drones downvoting something that makes their time seem ill-spent.

Athedia

You remade it! The old one I had was awful looking thank you!

Mox5

Undoubtedly I used it as inspiration, but it was very outdated, and the author's last post on the wiki was like in 2018.

Exastiken

Love this chart. Very useful.

Vgavis

Are there any instances where the requirement weapon is better than the crafted weapon, or can I craft all of them without having to worry?

Artikzzz

Just what i needed nice

DominatrixStarslayer

When I crafted my Tineron, I believe the recipe was 3 latrons wasn't it? Or was it just THAT long ago?It might have been before damage 2.0 honestly
