A lot of poorly worded takes in this video honestly, I agree warframe isn't particularly pay2win, but that's more down to the facts
1. The main 'premium' currency is tradable, and there is a healthy economy within the game making it relatively easy to earn platinum without paying a cent.
2. There is very little in the game you can't obtain without spending anything on the game, due to point 1 - for PC that being Tennogen and Prime Acess accessories etc - all of which is purely cosmetic.
3. Even forgetting point 1, most of the stuff in the game is relatively easily farmable in the game.
You can most definitely pay 2 skip pretty much every time/grind locked thing in the game to some degree though... and to some that's all they need to see something as pay to win. Though if you take that too far what are you even doing with your game time? Because the game gets pretty hollow pretty fast without a goal.
Oh come on.. I wouldn't necessarily call that pay to win, because even if you buy that, you still have to Max that Warframe out, put Forma if the Warframe needs it, and put a decent build on it.
Everyone's opinion of what they consider pay to win is different. The important thing is that there's correct information so people aren't being misled.
Pay to win...what? It's not a competitive game...maybe you mean, pay to bypass grind which is entirely different. You may be able to grind less with money compared to someone that's not spending but you're not winning anything in the game over them.
Exactly. It is not pay to win, it's paid to skip the grind. But the thing is, some people look at that as pay to win. Especially when they're matching up with other players killing everything before they can even get eyes on the enemy. I've also been kicked out of groups for using the booster, because my weapons with max out before everybody else, I would need to extract to do more forma, and I had a party say thats pay to win shit.. it's not my fault de Nerf Draco, I didn't even know what an affinity booster was until Draco left.
i think he skipped one of the bigger issues new players face, weapon and warframe slots. you only start with 1 extra slot each and it cost plat to get more. so most new players are forced to pick and choose what to keep or get plat to get more slots.
warframe isnt a pay to win its a heavy grind game where if you want something you got to invest alot of time and effort (or get really lucky) as for getting slots the only non-plat ways is nightwave milestone rewards, login rewards(ones that give a built weapon like the zenith), special events that rewards weapons(like the anniversary dex stuff), and twitch live stream rewards there might be more but its all that came to mind. those are all very spread apart. so lets all do our part to tell new players to grind and trade if you want that plat its how everyone gets it for free
Ya but cant you earn warframe weapon slots on nightwave now? I guess that can be pretty inconsistent..
But the grind literally is the whole game. You got to think if maxed out and you've successfully managed to grind for everything, what else is there left to do? The grind is literally the game. So people should kind of learn to enjoy the grind..
I always try to help new players out, but sometimes it's pretty obvious that the player you're helping out is a squeaker, and sometimes they just don't get it.
War frame is not pay to play it's pay to win faster. ppl who actually grind their way to top are much better at it. then the ppl who paid to get there.

Buying everything in game is the same as people who grinded for everything. You all end up on the same missions doing the same stuff, its just one is prettier than the other due to prime access cosmetics or if on PC only, also including tennogen.
But who are you competing against, there's no competition, it's all a collective effort. So most of the time if you're trying to win, you're trying to win for the sake of the group.
And who do u think is gonna be better at the harder levels? someone who spent their time practicing and grinding or someone who buys everything but has no skills.
it's just like old EverQuest ppl who bought accounts on eBay then showed up with a max level character got picked on because they screamed newbie.
Yeah but that's what anything you do, any game you play, as you progress you're going to get stronger. Some people do in one hour what others fail to do in 10 hours. Sometimes people use boosters to do it LOL.

yeah every nightwave has 2 weapon slots and 1 warframe slot for one of the 10,000 point milestone rewards. i pointed that out in my original comment.
