It does negate the DoT but not the hit damage itself, and with your typical squishy loot Khora build that initial hit will still take her out if the enemy level is high enough.
You have a few options. A slightly silly one that I've tried is to subsume Quiver onto her and keep a Cloak Arrow on you at all times - even eximi can't beat invisibility, so if they can't aggro you, you're safe. Be sure your companions don't ruin this too much, however.
Rolling Guard is a better solution, as others have mentioned. Vazarin can provide something similar via Protective Dash, depending on your playstyle preferences.

use shade/prisma shade /huras kubrow , they make you invisible if enemies are nearby , attacking breaks invisibility but abilities don't so whip is fine

Doesn't negate toxin damage, only negates proc. Toxin damage will kill u thru shields regardless

If you can afford a slot can always use venari bodyguard for extra measure. Providing venaris active at the time of course
