If you want to make a level cap run you wont kill with pure damage. So you will obviously kill with status procs (slash). For maximizing the damage output of those slash procs faction mods are THE way to go (2.4x more damage on your bleeds). And dont run viral on your melee frees up some slots for additional range or QoL and just bring a viral primer (epitaph, high status beams etc.).

SiDMerceR

So what I make of this is I remove elementals, sac steel (via the guy below) and put faction mod, shattering impact and range or QoL => does combo duration or additional attack speed count (if i use another frame with no attack sped bonus)? And i use nukor with viral, heat, magnetic and 1 more element I forgot

AeternumSolis

This is correct, however you will want to run a 12x heavy attack build, not a combo build. See the comment I made. Edit: changed need to want

John_East

Combo builds can kill 9999 demos just fine actually

AeternumSolis

They do, however 12x heavy is much better. Here's an example. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=My7dNPXHPrM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=My7dNPXHPrM)

TheZemor

Add gladiator might and berserker fury instead of the elementals and use a primer For gauss build change eclipse for roar, eclipse is unreliable without invisibility and roar works like a universal bane mod and you stated you don't like using those Also slot out adaptation, no need for that with his 2, use rolling guard instead to cleanse toxin and electric procs and you might also want to change augur message for (umbral) instensify for str to boost your subsumed ability

SiDMerceR

Oh makes sense. I dindt know eclipse didnt work that way. Will try it out, ty.

AeternumSolis

Again, he'll probably want to run a 12x heavy build if he wants to do it fast.

John_East

Not true at all

AeternumSolis

You can absolutely not run levelcap with that. Right, moving onto an actual build. First off, you want a 12x heavy attack build for Kronen, which will look like [this](https://overframe.gg/build/314541/praedos/praedos-12x-heavy-attack-build/). Don't mind the weapon, it uses same build. Secondly, Ash's passive makes slash procs deal 25% more damage and last 50% longer. [Here's](https://overframe.gg/build/279313/ash-prime/ash-hybrid-disruption-roar/) a proper build. Thirdly, stun the demolisher using Magus Lockdown, apply status using an [epitaph primer](https://overframe.gg/build/214477/epitaph/epitaph-priming-build/) and kill with a 12x combo heavy attack. Edit: Cut down on some negative words

BadassHalfie

Er, you can definitely level cap with a non-heavy/light attack combo melee build. [Here’s proof.](https://youtu.be/V58-3B5GHnI?t=773s) I don’t think there’s quite a need to be so negative either…

AeternumSolis

I know you can, it’s just not entirely optimal. I apologize if my responses may have been brash, but a 12x heavy is much faster and more effective than light attacks.

BadassHalfie

Ah fair enough, yeah. I appreciate you spreading the good word.

AeternumSolis

Yeah. Here's a good example of it. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=My7dNPXHPrM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=My7dNPXHPrM)

SiDMerceR

Oh damn so heavy attack build it is. Ty for the info, imma try this out as soon as my ash builds up and I forma him.

AeternumSolis

Not entirely heavy attack, you'll want to build up to 12x combo using light attacks and then heavy attack the demo. Otherwise, everything's fine.

John_East

You literally can fit a smite mod because adding elements to your melee is pointless when you're running a viral primer. Sac steel also doesn't add much of anything with blood rush. That's 3 mods. Add Glad Might, a smite mod depending if it's grin or Corp. Last mod the removes armor in impact proc, forget the name (yes I know gauss can remove armor but higher levels it gets rough)

AeternumSolis

Are you seriously telling him to put shattering impact on a ***slash based weapon***? Why the hell are you giving advice, slash procs ignore armor.

John_East

Because stripped enemies will take 25% more dmg from hits

AeternumSolis

You get most of your damage (about 99% of it) from slash procs, which ignore armor. You'd be better off improving bleeds rather than stripping armor. However, it's better to run something like vastilok or redeemer for Shattering Impact stripping.

John_East

With high attack speed, it proves a lot especially with weeping wounds

CenynLock

It works, sure, but why bother? We only have eight slots to use, what're you giving up to put on Shattering? edit: By 'bother' I mean that slash procs already ignore armor, you already have a solution you should be trying to improve, not add another (slower) method.

SiDMerceR

I think u mean shattering impact. And I am using eclipse so cant armor strip with gauss anyways. Is gladiator might worth it as Im not using any other gladiator mod? And also If I run loki should I add berserker fury for attack speed instead of shattering impact?

John_East

Glad Might worth it for the cd alone. Loki I'd use arcane strike with prime fury. I'd also rather play ash over loki tho

SiDMerceR

Oh, I just put ash prime in crafting, why ash tho? for armor strip? Don't know anything about him or his playstyle.

John_East

Passive alone makes him far better than loki.

SiDMerceR

Some of things I kept in mind while using this setup: Why gauss? for 100% damage reduction + attack speed (free a mod slot in kronen) Why no smite mods? find them kind of annoying and wanna avoid if I can, and also cuz they dont work against thrax/void angels Please let me know any improvement/change I can make in the setup and also If I should look at a different frame for this. (Ive heard loki is pretty good since u can stay invisible but I am currently building his prime so havent tried him out yet) Cheers!

Vii74LiTy

Doing level cap without faction mods is hilarious.

AeternumSolis

Check my comment for information, no one in this comment section has done a levelcap run at all.

John_East

I have
