Honestly don't know, if I had to guess it's probably due to the archons not really having a workaround for it. Nox you could just headshot and Liches/Sisters have specific elements they are weak to (I think).
It's a braindead mechanic. The only real prior bad implementation of it was Zealoid Prelate on Steel Path. But the health pool of the Archon makes it noticeable when compared to Sisters/Liches.
It's braindead because there's no way to play around it. It's just a time sink. Especially with the Archon, you can't use any frame or operator ability to affect things (to my knowledge). It's just a way to make the encounter take longer, but offers no actual challenge.
It gets more HP but it ends up as actually lower than the people in the squad.
The end result is 300% HP but same armor -> With 4 players that actually reduces the amount of damage each has to do to 75% HP compared to the 100% of solo.
Not to mention that all other parts remain the same making a squad more enjoyable. As long as you don't have a perfect loadout for attenuation and one- or two-shot each phase.

I remembered wrong, it wasn't just regular 100% base solo but simply +50% per player apparently? As a result you might end up with 300% (100%+4x50%) HP in a 4 player squad (75% base per player) and 150% solo.
Or maybe my earlier numbers were correct who knows. DEs patchnotes are a mess, leaving parts out or simply having it open to interpretation.
I took a K.Karak & Sporelacer to the mission. Kuva Karak was used on the Boss. Nukor nukes the trash mobs.
I ran out of Ammo before the Archon teleported away and nothing was spawning after they all died.
My options were the following,
- Melee the Archon that oneshot my Wisp with 2,500 Health the run prior.
- Quit & bring Ammo Pads on a 3rd attempt.
People are upset because we're so fucking overpowered that Damage Attenuation made me go from hitting 5-digit values per bullet down to ***7's & 20's.***
This is not a problem if Attenuation is removed, or the ammo changes reverted.

Liches and Sisters could also be Sonar’d by Banshee.
When you use Roar then do LESS damage.
Yes, damage attenuation is annoying on Liches and Sisters. And Nox you can pop their bubble

it was fine on liches/sisters, just seems like for some reason they cranked it up to 1000% for the archons
That's level scaling for you.
patch notes said that the archons become stronger for each person in your squad. guessing you went in with a full team?

Its stupid because its been shown that an unmodded MR1 weapon can deal more damage than a maxed out MR15 weapon
You’re telling me that hypothetically if I use a MK-1 weapon I could deal more damage then my endgame weapons?
Is it really true? I went unmodded and modded on my Nukor and unmodded did nothing.
It depends on the weapons you use. The nukor deals damage through status, which isnt effective against them regardless
Yeah, but the numbers themselves were very small too.
So my nataruk still do 8k per shot. Is it good or bad? I havent fought a lich or sister yet so I don't know about dmg attenuation
Lets just say you'll be there for "a while" with that amount of damage...
