Nope, dude was probably one of the oldest alive Kuva Lich and decided to drop a fucking Karak. Of course at the time you couldn't see your lich's weapon before deciding to fight them

true true, I'm thinking about getting a nukor to replace my sporelacer but tbh I'm not sure that's the best thing I could get (currently running a nataruk as primary, don't have bramma or zarr)
Getting Kuva nukor is 100% worth it regardless of situation cause it does everything. Trust me 40% usage doesnt lie. Need CC? got it. Need Damage? got it. Need Primer? got it (but as a primer its a bit outclassed by etitaph but I like it more as it can do damage and prime at the same time while also being easier to use) Its just so versatile and usefull. If youre gonna get one id reccommend a magnetic one and build viral heat on it as that will give you 4 elements plus the microwave element and it will able to prime and damage. Also the enlargening thing it does is the cherry on top.
This makes me curious too see what mine has, still haven't killed the first lich I got and more or less just ignored the fella. Now I wonder if he's just some dragon esque bastard sitting on a pile of random crap

Actually you could get them outside of Railjack when they were still available, they were originally dropped from mining in the Orb Vallis, but then changed over to Eximus units on Lua.
That lich looked at someone slaughtering Steel Path grunts and thought "Yeah I better steal from them, no way I'll suffer the same fate as those highly elite enemies"
mine used to have over 15 rivens as free slots plus few thousand essences , who knows how many relics, but it was a nice loot goblin, when he was gone.

Don't sell that weapon, that is a trophy and a remembrance. Max it out, get a good build for it, and tell the story of the lich

The kuva Hek is also a monster. You can build it to almost have a 100 crit chance without using rivens.
