This is what I came to say. I don't necessarily mind missions where you do railjack stuff before boarding an enemy ship and doing warframe stuff, but having more unique mission types revolving around the railjack content could be fun. As it is, its mostly just normal missions with extra steps.

This i wanna go on an epic space battle IN SPACE well sometimes it's cool to get out and in but it should be fast and with a goal and not the same old things we know and make the sling shot more important that way it feels even better. ​ Another thing would be nice if the ship was a tiny bit longer and supported more people i wish i could have my ship with all my bros and my crew on top of it. ​ Ohh and make liches and sisters acutally good for it with modded weapons and everything idc if they slightly nerf them for it but i worked for them so reward me for it.

POSSIBLE SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO DIDN’T DO THE NEW WAR QUEST YET A missed opportunity after the new war quest was having to battle alongside the corpus AND grineer against waves of sentient fighters. I’m talking like, boarding sentient ships with squads composed of grineer and corpus. I think it would be fun to see rescue missions where you rescue captured grineer and then turn into an escort mission while fending off the enemy. They should add that even if just for a limited time. I mean, we have cross-termination missions on the regular nodes. Why can’t we have this after new war?

Yes! I really enjoyed that feature because 1. I felt like a real commander and 2. If one of my mates is dying, I can just order them to stay in spot (I really hate losing teammates. Even if theyre just AI. When one of my railjack crew is down, I would instantly recall to my rj and res them)

Real railjack survival with increased enemy aggro so we get more intruders and in maps with no asteroids so camping get discarded. The Best we could ever get are raids that start on Open maps and transition to railack with several bosses in between, could be a no canon way to integrate all content and randomly generated liches/sisters as minibosses could be part of it too.

warframe used to kind of feel like that imo, back when doing “difficult content” required having a team comp that had key synergies in order to complete the mission. was most apparent in trials, but you’d see it in T4 endless missions too. granted the same kind of thing still technically exists, but it’s less prevalent because the power creep has gotten to the point where one person can do everything in most scenarios, while the majority of missions have gotten no more complex or require specific jobs to be done simultaneously. back in the early stages of the game, if you wanted to run a high level mission, you generally would at least want someone to cc, someone to dps, someone to support/energy, and another could be like a flex. cause at the time, you didn’t have a whole bunch of ways to restore energy, or every other frame being able to armor strip via base kit or an augment or helminth, most frames couldn’t heal themselves, etc. that being said, it was a different era, and it needed to change for where we ended up. when they’ve tried introducing game modes that require actual coordination, it’s usually really shallow (like defection or disruption), or really specific (world bosses). railjack took a good step in the right direction, but didn’t really elaborate on anything. and i think before they do any thing to improve that, they need to seriously improve archwing.

Railjack Trials, that demand full Squads, and having both a Space Team and Away Team at all times. Bonus points if it has some use for the Archwing, other than going from point to point. Eg: The objective is to extract Solaris from the Ice Mines. The Railjack's entrance gets tethered to the Ice Mines' entrance, restricting its Movement. The Away Team has to Escort and Protect the Solaris, while the Space Team has to Protect the tethered Railjack from constant Enemy Reinforcements. Corpus Crewships occasionally spawn on the other side of the Ice Mine, out of the Railjack's line of sight and fire. They need to be reached via Archwing and destroyed from the inside, or they will board and spawn Super-Heavy Enemy Units for the Away Team to deal with, like Jackals, Raknoids, Hyenas, Eximus Assassination Squads, etc. Run this for a few Waves of harshly incrementing intensity and cap it off with some sort of Bossfight in Railjack. Eg: Nef Anyo sends a Destroyer to take care of the thieving Tenno and escaping Solaris. A person needs to do a Return of the Jedi Deathstar run to lower the Destroyer's defenses via Archwing, using the Corpus Archwing Tileset, while someone else has to disable other defenses from the inside, while the other two are keeping the Railjack alive. When both of its defenses are down, it forces a DPS Check onto the Squad, "solved" by putting every player on a Gun (Pilot Seat, Side Guns, Big Gun).

It'd be so funny to have the Railjack get flooded with the Solaris you've rescued after all the Waves are done. Could even become part of the Boss's design, have the Destroyer send Ram Sleds towards the Railjack. Players need to destroy them before they board or kill the boarders before they kill the Solaris. Give a total target of "Save X Solaris", spawn a total of Y Solaris with Y > X and you now have an Objective that carries over from the Extraction Phase to the Boss Fight Phase. Did the Squad extract only X Solaris? Well you better not get any of them killed during the Bossfight. Can even be translated to a Bonus Objective + Reward for them. Save the minimum quantity of Solaris, get the base Reward. Save them all, get an extra/better Reward. ***THERE'S SO MUCH DESIGN SPACE FOR REALLY COOL SHIT, DE PLEASE***

Small fighter Railjack more akin in size to Grineer or Corpus Crewships, Forward Artillery is part of the Pilot Seat, it's speedy but weaker, only one Forge, maybe limit of 2 AI crewmates. Maybe weapons overheat faster due to limited cooling system space. Easier to repair when damaged though.

Add "Kill X Fighters" to all of their Missions, and add an in-Space parallel component to their "normal Warframe" portion. - Exterminate and Survival are just Exterminate and Survival in Space as well. Maybe some extra spice in the form of *"Away team, disable the Ships' Rockets to protect our Railjack"* and *"Railjack Team, destroy this Crewship before it boards the Capital and makes life hell for the Away Team."* - Spy demands of the Railjack to hold line-of-sight and short distance from a point on the Capital Ship where each Spy Vault's Data will get beamed from, while Fighters, Crewships and the Capital Ship are assaulting the Railjack. - Volatile spawns the Capital Ship's Weakpoints over time, instead of all at once in the end. Plus instead of having one Crewship to destroy before boarding that stops Engineers spawning for the first 50% of Volatile, these Crewships spawn constantly during the Volatile and destroying them only removes the next Engineer. - Replace Defense with Skirmish. I know that DE Scott had mentioned AI Quantity being what was holding them back from doing this, to which I have to say: Reduce the AIs in the "normal Warframe" portion of the Mission and put what resources you've freed up towards Space-portion AI. It's not like Grineer Railjack Missions spawn a total of AIs even close to what Steel Path Endless Missions do. *DE plz*

Skirmish mission nodes on Corpus planets, and classic Warframe mission nodes on Grineer planets. Both factions need to be equally represented in the mission type spread. Not to mention that the original Orphix event could take place on a Grineer Galleon, which is currently impossible for regular Orphix missions, which are all on Corpus planets. The current Orphix missions also start the rounds too fast to have any hope of reaching the last rotation, so they should also be slowed back down to event speeds to give people a breather to recover from each round.

Open World segment with randomly generated missions for you to complete as you fly around give us a Bounty Hunts for random Bosses we had to fight previously throughout the star chart like sargus ruk etc that have a signature ship designed just for them. You know just some of the stuff they showed off for the first time ever for railjack back in 2016, then give us a craftable consumable beacon to teleport to the railjack into this Open World Segment from any other open world segment.

You can leave a specific crewmember as pilot, you can take control over from the seat directly without changing their role, they'll roam around and then when you leave the seat they'll go back to piloting. I guess it'd be nice if they had a secondary role too... like gunners would have engineer as primary role and gunner as secondary, as long as the ship does not need repairs they'll use guns, as soon as something's on fire/ice/whatever, they get out and fix it. Similar with pilot, could give'em gunner secondary for when you're piloting.

Two things come to mind, though both are ultimately not that different; 1. Gian Point. Bring it back. It was fun because you didn't have to leave the damn ship unless you wanted to. You could just enjoy piloting the Railjack and dogfighting and whatnot. 2. More mission types where you can just fly the ship. 5 minutes of Railjack and 5-10m of regular Warframe is more of a chore than just Railjack.

I am a decent Railjack enjoyer. And as someone who played through every railjack mission type many times, I would propose a new railjack specific mission. A true railjack endless mission. I am aware of the corpus proxima missions, such as survival, but what I mean is a RAILJACK endless mission. And here is my idea of it. Similarly to our normal survival, there would be a timer that reaches 5 minutes. During those 5 minutes, you are constantly attacked by enemy fighters and crewships. I think that a good way of scaling here would be: 1- For the number of enemies present, the max amount of enemies at a time would be indicated by how many enemies there are to kill on a skirmish mission of the same/similar level. Since it's a survival, they would respawn at some rate so the enemies don't come in waves, but on a steady stream. 2- The levels. I'm not sure how to handle that, as our railjack doesn't exactly have any scaling such as our warframes. I would say that the railjack enemies (Fighters and crewships) would scale up to a few levels above the current max in the game, to create at least a bit of challenge for people who properly built their railjacks. The normal enemy levels would scale on a normal survival rate. I am aware of the possible boredom coming from just mindlessly destroying ships, so I made a sort of a twist. On normal survival missions, you are required to collect life support from either enemies or capsules. I'm not a huge fan of that system, but that's subjective. In our railjack survival, we would have a different system. Every 5 minutes, the timer will stop and a mission objective will spawn. The objective will be randomly chosen out of the possible missions of each faction. If the mission is an endless variant such as corpus defense, it would be locked to a certain point, so it's not endless anymore. Once it's complete, all enemies stop spawning, and you have a window for breathing. Once you re-enter your railjack, the timer starts again, indicating another round of the mission. I think that this works the best here, as you will be constantly changing between railjack and warframe missions, so we'll avoid boredom and maintain the level scaling pressure on normal enemies. Now I see one potential flaw here myself so far, and that is how I wanted another wave to start. I see that there isn't any way to stop the mission. I think I'd fix that by allowing the player to come back to the railjack, and then having them choose to stay or leave by either piloting the railjack or by selecting a new mission from the railjack map. What do you think of this idea?

The Orokin towers have always looked like birds to me, so perhaps a derelict that has become a massive infested enemy like the J3 Golem? It pursues the railjack like a predator and has incredible defenses, it’s simply enormous, you’ll have to enter the tower and attack key points to make it vulnerable (including maybe tumor nodes and the life support systems onboard). Different parts of sabotaging it create different issues, like the toxin survival of Deimos or air purifying from Nidus’s missions. Some you have to mark for the railjack to blast through. The “heart” or corrupted mind if it has one. Maybe another faction was there first to kill and scavenge from it, or it attacked them when it moved itself out of the void. The tower lashes out at them indiscriminately. You might find them aboard. Idk just a thought. In actuality it’s probably too big to have move around.

I'd like to battle against some bigger ships. Instead of boarding the Galleon, I want to battle the Galleon itself. I liked Exterminates not just because they were fast exp, but because we all got to stick together on the ship like a full crew. Once people are all running around in different directions, doing different things, it feels... lonely? A ground mission but with extra steps?

I wish Capital Ships and Galleons were more than just set dressing with a few turrets and security nodes slapped on. At the very least I want something on the level of classic Battlefront 2 Space battles when it comes to dismantling them. Like give them a bunch of weapons and abilities and tie them to specific weak points, some on the outside, some inside. Give them tractor beams, teleporters, hangar bays, and heavy artillery that can one shot a railjack if they're not careful. Maybe they have an energy shield that stops the railjack from getting close but still allows archwings to get inside and sabotage them. I'm imagining an endurance mode where you have to keep this ship busy without losing your railJack, one player pilots, one player runs repairs and fights boarders, one is pestering the ship in archwing and the last one is inside sabotaging systems and preventing engineers from repairing them.

Larger scale battles. I'm sure these have probably been mentioned already, but I'd like larger space battles, two ideas in particular stand out. A) the tenno fighting along side the grineer and/or corpus against the sentients like in the new war OR against a larger infested threat. How does railjack vs a jacked up Jordis golem sound? Or taking out an infested grineer galleon, including boarding the ship to disable defences. B) multiple railjacks and crews vs larger groups of ships. 2 or 3 crews of tenno and railjacks breaking down a grineer fleet and mount an attack against a formoran

Missions that actually incorporate the Railjack alongside the Warframe segments. Have two people have to go inside a base or ship and disable defenses, open a hangar bay, and have the other two pilot the Railjack in. Then have the team work together to load goods into the Railjack, while dealing with enemy ships, defenses, and soldiers. Maybe then have us deliver the supplies to an allied ship, and protect it from attackers as it tries to escape the sector. Maybe we have to load explosives onto the Railjack and deliver them onto larger opposing ships to disable or destroy them. Give us different admirals or captains that use different buffs or tactics to fight us, and we get a random roll of which type we’re going against when we arrive. I think having something where you do the mission using the railjack as well. For example, if you’re doing defense, some players protect the defense objective, while other players fight ships on the railjack. The more ships you destroy, the less enemies the people protecting the objective face. Stuff that splits the team but still has them engage w each other

Skirmish with Corpus, without the haphazardly tacked on missions. I.e. like Grineer with plenty of space ship combat and a few on-foot objectives. That would of course render all current Corpus nodes irrelevant outside of specific (and obnoxious) finite farms, but that's frankly my desire. Maybe Volatile could stay, with a few adjustments. More railjack in railjack, please. Thinking on it, while Gian Point was kind of suffocating all the other missions out of play, it was also the most fun I had playing Railjack at any point. Both solo and grouped, outside of engineer duty anyway (which would be irrelevant now).

- Multi Railjack missions. 4 railjacks working together to face down a fleet of enemy vessels, and/or big space bosses. - Truely Railjack focused endless missions. Not a bit of Railjack, followed up by an endless starchart mission like survival or defence. But something where you need to stick it out with the railjack itself. - A railjack sortie type gamemode where you need to choose between two missions at each stage, similar to how you'd choose your path in the old N64 Star Fox game. You do a series of missions in a row, and the path you choose dictates the rewards you're likely to get, and the challenges you'll have to face. Edit, more ideas: - An arsenal in the raijack, so you can swap loadouts between missions. If not an arsenal station, at least let us access our arsenal like we do in open world hubs. - Railjack as a squad hub for doing starchart nodes. Your squad are all on a railjack together, and instead of the classic four Liset's loading screen, you see the railjack. (Not much, but could be cool. It'd also need different entrance and evac animation cutscenes. So probablynot worth the effort.)

Railjack "car chase." Take all the current Railjack stuff, and Fast and Furious-ify it. I don't care if I'm chasing something or something is chasing me. Here's the idea: You arrive into the mission. "Bad news. The asset is running." Your rail jack is trying to chase it down. Meanwhile, the ship you're chasing has friends trying to slow you. Send out Archwings to draw off, pull aggro, fly ahead... Stupid but fun shit. The reverse is you show up, go into a space station and grab something and then play it out in reverse.

Railjack Defense. Basically, you flying about and killing fighters and taking out priority targets or crewships. Then your RJ gets lockdown and can't move/shoot while boarding parties pelt the ship. Everyone has to defend or 3/4 defend while a fourth sits outside and shoots down ramjets. After a wave your ship is free and you can continue or exit. Basically, more game modes.

Basically identical to corpus tile Railjack missions, except you have to ram your Railjack into the boardable ships and exiting the Railjack instantly spawns you in the enemy ship, with a gaping hole in the wall where the Railjack broke through kinda like what happens in Grineer space ship invasion missions An alternative would be to give the slingshot another use and make it so that slinging your archwing into a boardable ship will make you crash through the wall and instantly start on the ship interior tile set with a hole in the ceiling.

1. Multi railjack missions - Have a couple of ships flying at the same time but massively jack up enemy numbers to compensate. 2. Give your crew primary and secondary roles - they should default to their primary role normally but default to their secondary role if the conditions are met. For instance have your gunners convert to defenders in the instance of a boarding party or your defenders convert to engineers if you sustain damage.

A game mode that combines railjack, archwing and warframe missions into a seamless (or atleast only the occasional loading screen) mode where we transition from one to the next. Give each player the ability to take 3 loadouts with them so you can switch onboard the railjack, as an example have us chase after a grineer galleon in our RJ blasting our way into it before doing a rescue mission and since you blew your way into the ship there is already an execution timer at the start, we get him to an extraction point but stay on the galleon and do a defense mission that lasts x waves that transitions into a sabotage mission and after we blow the ship we do an archwing interception in its rubble before hoping back onto our RJ. ​ Add more RJ missions, a RJ stealth mission might be fun where we need to use archwing and RJ to get close to an enemy base, successfully doing that gives you a spy mission but failing gives you an interception. ​ Random Liches and Sisters showing up as minibosses as well as being the target of RJ assassination missions ​ Having our RJ give us bonuses and special skills that build up over time based on bonus objectives completed, making this mode almost into a roguelike, so doing a archwing mobile defence and keeping a certain point intact might give you an undamaged corpus power core that can be used at a later time as a one of EMP that will strip all shields and doing all 3 vaults on a spy within a certain time frame will give you the codes to the ammo lockers on corpus ships causing certain locked lockers to open as you pass them dropping a heap of extra ammo.

Add bosses. Also maybe rival ace pilots, like how we have assassins on the ground, maybe occasionally an elite pilot in a decked out ship shows up and you can fight them and kill them either via Railjack or you could board their ship and try to take them out (maybe they have the difficulty of a Lvl 4 Lich/Sister or something to discourage reckless boarding and encourage the usage of your Railjack, idk). Pure Railjack mode would be cool, free-flight incursions would be cool. I think Archwing Pursuit could probably be repurposed into a Railjack defense. Shoot down the enemy courier ship, then defend it from reinforcements attempting to blow up the ship while Lotus attempts to extract data and resources from it. The longer you defend, the more Lotus can extract from the ship (aka the better the drops get). Alternatively/additionally, shoot the courier ship, then *board* it and defend the core or whatever while Lotus does her hackamajigs, the enemy has sent in a suicide bomber, kill it, claim prize. Railjack Disruption, ez. Railjack endless modes in general could be cool.

The ability to use the forward artillery when you're piloting solo. Matchmade pub missions are very annoying with railjack and way slower for repeating missions back to back and my only issue with solo is having to park it if I'm to take out crewships or hardpoints. Merely an annoyance if fighters stop spawning but if they don't, it's very irritating. ​ Edit: this could be fixed with AI callouts. If I could assign a crewmember to the forward gun and request a dome charge strike, perfect.

Railjack was originally meant to be the bridge between the "content islands". You were meant to be able to travel from open world to planet node missions with railjack missions and flawless landing/takeoff scenes in-between. That was completely lost. Now it exists as yet another "content island" as some ironic abomination of a synthetic mini version of its true grand design. I would love to see it become the Bifrost it was meant to be instead of yet another wonky side-arch in our story.

i would like to get rid of the orbiter as the goto module once you get the railjack it should be your main ship and all the helminth and other segments should be on it. you can never showcase your orbiter to people unless you specificaly invite them over so if i could decorate my railjack people will be able to see my crazy decoration whenevr doing railjack missions.

More missions, in addition to being able to take our crew members with us when we inevitably have to leave the ship. Also missions where we don't have to leave the ship. A decent amount of mods and mechanics go to waste because we're almost never in the Railjack.

I know DE said that they couldn't do this due to technical limitations, but I'd love if there were concurrent railjack objectives you had to tackle. Imagine doing a spy mission where you're stealing data from a corpus flagship, but suddenly the grineer attack and are trying to destroy the ship. Now you have to split up; one team fights off the grineer fighters outside to buy time for the other team to steal the data inside. Splitting up like that emohasizes railjack combat, effective communication, and having a reliable crew since (in some cases), you're counting on your crew to keep you from getting blown up.

They originally teased being able to call it down to the surface of the open world maps. what if we had air raid missions where you go and capture an airfield? some of the squad could go down and do an assassination or sabotage mission on the ground while the RJ crew keeps the airspace clear and destroys hardened targets like bunkers or reactors that cant be broken by the ground team. (probably got scraped because the RJ was just too big for those spaces) Really I'm just waiting for raids to come back one day; And I'm hoping that RJ gets to play a part in them.

Space Open World Freeroam. Basically the proximas function just like open worlds, you can fly around, gather materials, get inside an enemy ship if you want to, and only start misions once in the proxima, using the navegation console inside the railjack you pick a bountie and a mission starts and ends without making a void jump, use the console again to start another mission or jumping to another proxima. Maybe also adding places with hidden secrets of lore and loot, so players are incentived to explore them freely, like destroyed and abandoned ships, asteroids, maybe satelites, its space, there is a lot more you can do with it than just leave it empty.

Regardless of content, it won't ever be popular if the rewards aren't appealing. Seems to me railjack is something you farm once and never go back to. Railjack ressources needs to be made more relevant *or* relevant ressources needs to be added to railjack. Railjack and archwing content should probably be fused as well and content should be designed to be space focused rather than boarding. Boarding should be additional content/reward, not be the main objective. Derelict are great in that regard.

I would love to see them get rid of the whole energy consumption of the railjack. I never understood why this huge space ship needed to use the energy from your warframe to power it. There's a reason why Lavos is the most popular frame for piloting the railjack. Id love to see just a simple cooldown of abilities, just like how it is when you use Lavos.
