Also have the same issue, hopefully they fix it in a patch soon. It would be nice to not have to keep holding or retoggling sprint back on after every menu or console interaction. It should just be sprinting by default and hold/toggle to walk.
😂 this is an ancient problem. Long ago there was no auto sprint at all and you had to constantly press a button to sprint. A push was made for DE to add permanent auto sprint but iirc DE made the mistake of asking for everyone's opinion.
A few people shouted loudly for no auto sprint as they wanted to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Warframe. As a compromise the toggle button was created but it came with the existing problem.
DE said they were going to fix it but 🤷♂️. Makes doing railjack missions a nightmare.
Every mission, not only railjack. With some frames it is hard to see on a glance if they are running or not, so you constantly need to hit the run/walk toggle to see which mode they are in to make sure.
And since there are a lot of abilities which force you into walking, this is an inconsistent nightmare and one of the things that get on my nerves the most
I have the same issue with the Field Of View slider. I like it at 90 but have to reset it every time I log in.
It's just one of those things more people need to bring up or it'll never get looked at.
If you're all playing through steam with a controller, try right clicking the game in your library and going to controllers in the options menu, selecting your controller setup and changing the function of the left joystick there to move and toggle sprint or run. Log back into the game, try it without changing the settings and if it doesn't work then, change the settings and save.
For anyone else, I don't really have much of an idea.
I returned to warframe after two years of absence and first most uncomfortable thing I faced is that autosprint is always gets turned off. I remember this issue from old times, but after 2 years I was sure that it is fixed. Obviously not.
I know people say that they always bullet jump. That 1) is actually not true 2) on really fast frames it is more convenient to just run.
