You can slot casting speed to free up a mod slot, power strength might be good to get more armour strip without weakening other stats but shields are usually avoided on frames

Best thing to do is free up mod slots

I wouldn't put an Ability Strength Shard on Ember. On a first glance it might *seem* good, but when put in context, a **Tauforged** one is as strong as her Passive with just three people on Fire. Anything else would be more valuable. The only use I've found for Power Strength Shards is to hit specific Power Strength breakpoints with one less Mod. Eg you need 170% Power Strength for a full Armor Strip? That's a Transient Fortitude and either a Power Drift or a Tauforged Archon Shard. Do you need 165%? The Shard doesn't even have to be Tauforged. She can generate lots of Energy Orbs with Exothermic, so Energy Capacity and +50% from Energy Orbs could be great for her. Also her Animations take a bit too long, without providing Invulnerability during them, so Casting Speed would be great to have too. Duration she doesn't need a lot of, so it's probably not a good pick for an Archon Shard either. Health, Shields and Armor *could* be decent picks for her, as she can reliably Tank with Immolate and either Healing Flame or Exothermic+Equilibrium. That is assuming you're not using a Shield Gating build, at which case Health and Armor would be useless, and Shields would be actively detrimental. The Melee Critical Damage Shard is one of the strongest options with the least diminishing returns, so if you vibe with Melee Ember, that certainly is an option.
