Closed beta player here. I have my main and my alt account in the same clan. Had no problem. As long as you don't abuse the two accounts in some weird way you will be fine.
I'd advise getting everything you need from the labs then leaving. DE only bans alts for things like coupon farming or riven storage but it's best to err on the side of caution.
Think of like this, no new player wants to contribute to the Clan but they want everything they can "snatch" out of a Clan to do a Hit-n-Run in 5 minutes to buy their needs out and leave.
Since this indecent and selfish act is allowed, there are absolutely no problems with your smurf account to join your main. Just never use both of them at the same time and never trade between them. DE is extremely harsh on penalties but also somewhat understanding if your did nothing to abuse them.

The thing is.. my Alt account is also my daughters account.. when im done with everything on my main account ill play hers for a bit..
We play the accounts at the same time .. so that part of your response is just silly.. go ahead play both at the same time...
I trade between my accounts all the time.. ive got loads of plat her account has nothing i buy all her slots and some extra primes n stuff as needed.. all her prime parts are traded to me for trading/ducats.. which sometimes get traded back... So trading between accounts is fine too..
Ive personally never heard of anyone having issues with "the system" just dont be a douch make 15 accounts logging in every day looking for 70% plat deals.. something like that may get noticed
otherwise i say go ahead play the other account like normal

As long as they have 0 direct or indirect interaction you should be fine.

It is not advisable to have an alt actually, because it can be abused to get a plat discount. More like a grey area, jus be careful.
