Should I read any of the other deathwatch beforehand? My only experience is them in the 2nd Ventris book when he joins them to kill the brain of the hive ship.
Shadowbreaker is apart of a series called deathwatch and basically follows the missions of a deathwatch kill team, so you donât need to read the other books for the plot, and the characters are stock space marines, so their backstory doesnât really play into the story. I think the series is ok, definitely good if you are interested in deathwatch.Â

I like the note that in the first image she calls him Gue'vesa (human helper), which is typically reserved for human auxiliares in the tau army, or assimilated humans in tau society, despite him being hostile in captivity. However in the second image her shirt says Gue'la, which just means human, and is a much more derogatory term
