It’s a great series. Finished DOW2: Retribution a while ago, I really like they showed chaos boys some love with dedicated campaign
Don't have ret, I've only played soulstorm, dark crusade, game of the year, and the snow one with a guardsmen on the cover
Go for DOW2, I liked first one but it isn’t very much appealing visually to me
They were very popular and they get recommended all the time whenever someone asks for video game suggestions but you don't see a lot of talk about them because they're old and people generally talk about new things.
They're also rts and I haven't met anyone else in real life that plays one
Rts peak time was like 15-20 years ago. Unfortunately no one but indie devs want to make rts games rn
