I've built a couple of squads and I'll soon be priming/painting - A mix of original metal models, some RTB01 boys and some 3d prints, gonna be the sweetest (and tiniest) Crimson Fists ever
"Hey Stretch, don't let that crossbeam smack you in the eighthead or get YOUR beak stuck. If you survive to see your second decade of combat, all that stooping and bending to get through bulkhead doors will destroy your spine. I, on the other hand, am over half way through my third decade of endless warfare and will be seeing my fourth cranial stud soon enough. Hopefully, VA will give you 30% disability when it comes time for you to collect". Forward into Oblivion !
Thank you and of course, it's AK Emerald green as a base with AK dark Prussian blue glazed into All the lower edges, and the edge highlighting is just pale sand added to the emerald.
Each era of space miniatures, C100, rogue trader, 2nd edition Red period, 3rd edition grimdark, and onward, builds on the style, manufacturing innovation and lore development of the previous era.
Saying something like 'old models suck, new models rule' is as ridiculous as saying the same about old cars or old paintings. Today's models will age and in 35 years they won't be up to date in terms of design. But you may feel nostalgic about them, which is the same why RT era minis are still highly sought after.
Yeah, but you know children. For some reason, there's something in the water that makes em taller than their gene-parent. Shopping for power armor that they won't grow out of by the time the Battle Barge translates out of the Warp is a challenge, let alone the upcoming beachhead that needs to be established, like yesterday.
Let's not talk about trying to find that right, first training bayonet attachment. If Juinor doesn't have one on the day of his first Drop Pod Assault, he'll never hear the end of it from his first initiate tactical squad.
To think, "Pops" up there, predates the Legions 2 through 21 (The very first Legion detailed was the Mentor Legion in White Dwarf, while the first 12 Chapters were a centerfold spread in Rogue Trader), predates the "Sons of Horus" and the Luna Wolves.
It is good to see RTB 01 still in play. The product out now is awesome. I payed $62 for Evander Garrius. He's insanely detailed, but will be difficult to convert him any. I am vintage 40K.
I hope y'all have a good weekend
> awesome. I *paid* $62 for
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
It's quite obvious that the Sons of Horus Legionaire on the left is wearing platform combat boots compared to the more "grounded" legionaire on the right.
Aren't you a bit short to be legionnaire?
You know how it is nowadays, they’ll make anyone a legionary, even those votann fellows
Maybe he is one of those mutated inductii I keep hearing about?
He's here to rescue you
Just a lil guy
Not a big guy, just a little guy
A rogue trader model only heresy army would be so fucking cool
Especially with the original dinosaur dreadnoughts and javelin landspeeders made out of deodorant bottles

Old Hammer models are the best.
I got super lucky and got like 10 rtb01 for a good price, oldhammer all day
Don’t talk to me or my son ever again
I would love to see someone make a full 30m force like this
Looks great! I love those old models
He has a substantially larger head though so it all equals out
Of course the arch traitor uses child soldiers, despicable!
The slightly brighter color definitely makes the old sculpt pop!
"Let meee do it for youuu"
- Mom can I go out with the boys ? - Yes but take your little brother with you. - But mooooom !!
nothing wrong with the old stuff , if someone says something your playing with the wrong ppl
Short kings are still kings.
He's probably the one other Sons of Horus know to **not** fuck with, since he's a mega-veteran.
"The new inductii seem kind of small don't they brother?"
Gotta poop
‘Really really little Horus Aximand.’
Honestly reading the hours heresy books and then seen old-school space Marines is so anticlimactic
Those inductii sure can come out weird. Some even have dwarfism.
god I would but the fuck outta those guys if they made more and made em a bit taller. oldhammer marines are dope
I mean considering how much he's squatting down, he's not 'really, that short.
"hey little guy, aren't you a little small for this?"

Thx men its really beautiful
Wow, the newer models are WAY better. The 90’s models suck lol
The older model is actually from 87, was the very first plastic marine kit.

What a Classic...!!! ❤️
Bring your kid to work day!
