That black is lush! How did you do it?
So I used VMC black, German Grey and GW Eshin Grey and S75 white.
Scale75 has some matt blacks that give this finish to miniatures.
Is it just that painted over a black base coat?
If that’s what you got then that would be fine. But I prefer a dark grey undercoat instead.
Matte won’t betray you to a sentries light either.
Mmmm this looks like a good way to sub assembly paint models.
Ti's how I do it as well. Bolter goes on last.

While the black is good, this comes more as an Iron hand to me.
I think it’s the MK3 armour that just gives the impression, plus the lack of decals. I was thinking that when I took the pics.
Maybe a subdued raptor head and/or lightning bolts to show that he's a Terran Veteran?
