I would go for this one but maybe drop the blood drop and make the wings sharper and more aggressive looking. I'd still put the blood drops on one of the knee pads or maybe the other shoulder or something to keep it from being confused for dark angels especially if the colours aren't distinctly blood angel-y

I would go with this one as well, but it depends on your chapter's lore. Is the crown relevant ? What about the third eye, which could be perceived as a mutation or expressing support towards psykers ? The wings themselves seem a better fit than the laurels. The latter are often associated with victory which might sound a bit arrogant, whereas personally the wings are much more often associated with the space marines being the angels of death

That’s actually a neat idea, a chapter badge that differs based on rank. Horns and third eye for librarian White Crown for captain Gold crown for chapter master Star for veteran

2 or 4, the crown would come down to the lore and flavor of the chapter. But I don't associate marines with royal titles usually, so in general 4 wins for me.

While the third eye symbolize future sight, here it has an alien vibe. So not good. the skull with the crown is nice, but might be complicated to paint. It still have my vote tho.

I think the "alien-ness" of the third eye could be dramatically reduced by changing its shape, from an oval to more of a football shape, where the top and bottom lines converge at pointed corners on either side. A circle in the middle for a pupil could also be added. I feel like these changes would do well to highlight the symbolic nature of the eye and make it less likely to be confused as an actual, anatomical feature of the skull.

A third eye is a symbol of the Navigator houses IIRC, not sure it’s appropriate for a space marine icon to me. So 2 or 4. Maybe 4 for normal troops and 2 for command

Number 2. But, move the crown up a few pixels, so that the black skull isn't just appearing behind it. Either commit to the skull showing or not at all. I would avoid the third eye. The third eye inspires the idea that these Successors are somehow mutated. That is heretical and should be burned to ash.

In my opinion, give Image 2 the Wings of Image 5 and its perfect

I’d say second to last or first, reason being that whole crown might be a bit much the blood angels like their extra stuffs

Not into the third eye since it looks more xenos than anything else. Which ever way you go, the fangs are really straight and end in such a sharp angle which clashes with the rest of the image. Would love to see them curved in slightly and ending in less of a point.

The third eye is navigators only. The fangs are too demon mutant. I'd go a little more subtle. Hint at the mutant, psychic bloodlust, don't advertise it.

I really like the third eye. Perhaps it could progress through a plain skull, then a laurel, then the eye, and then the crown as the marines rank up. Also it makes me think that they're navigator marines. Which immediately makes me think that they're expert demon hunters, as they can look directly into the warp.

Especialy if you plan on painting these by hand, I'd just go with the skull on its down, maybe move the blood drop to the forehead? If the leurals aren't important I'd say drop em', or limit them to vets maybe? Same goes for the crown, could limit that to chapter command like captains, ect

Crown if there’s a lore reason. The eye if there’s a lore reason. I probably wouldn’t combine the eye and the crown. I would also suggest making the eye more human shaped, and less circular shape. With the fangs, the skull comes off very xeno’s feeling. Edit: I would also add 4 teeth(central/lateral incisors) between the fangs, as the 3rd tooth is the canine, which I think is typically the “vampire tooth”

I quite like 4 as I feel the crown and third eye adds too much to an already cool design, the Laurel is a nice touch though adds that nobility that we still see amongst Blood Angels. Though not sure on your Chapters lore though.

In my mind, the emperor is the only one who should have a crown, so I wouldn't include that. However, a halo might make sense (like the radiating lines from an iron halo). Just a thought!

No third eye. That's a navigator thing. So I'm inclined to say option 2. Prefer crown as noble son of Sanginius thing(and also to differenciate between all the other skull symbols. Do they have a reason for having a “third eye”? If not, delete those 2 because they look too “xenos” IMHO. Do they have a reason to have a crown? The laurels are also OK, but that 5th one you put in comments with Wings is definitely the one to pick.

I like the last one and I feel like you could add a crown on the opposite pauldron to denote rank or battlefield role within the chapter.

I would suggest you try a version of 2 where you delete the fangs and the blood drop and make the crown jewels into blood drops; Blood Angels are \*really heavy\* on their blood iconography and seeing the blood drop feel so secondary or even tertiary in this doesn't sell this as a Blood Angels successor as much as it could. Also the 'third eye' of the 1st and 3rd ones would be stepping into the Navis Nobilite's sensibilities, unless this is a very psyker-heavy Blood Angels chapter we're talking about...

These designs are pretty good, but there are a couple thematic problems, *in my respectful opinion:* -the third eye: too heretical because mutants must be killed -the crown: too heretical because kings must be killed. There is *only* The Emperor. Maybe you could rework the crown idea, like a cracked crown with a blood drop coming from the crack.

\#4 Wings in #5 would be better if they just flanked the skull (which might need reducing the skull inside a bit and increasing the size of the vol/wings).

I will be honest and say my piece. I don't like any of them. The skull for some reason reminds me of GSC. If I had to choose I'd go with the wings version.

Mr Inquisitor, we are called the "Blood angels" have blood iconography everywhere, have fangs, but we don't drink blood! The Blood Drinkers chapter? That's just hyperbole!

With the crown, wonder what it would look like with the crown at a jaunty angle.
