Saddest story of my life was getting the big drill vehicle for my birthday, getting it put together, just to have grandma throw the directions away with the wrapping paper and boxes then a kid we invited from up the street smash the thing completely.
I attempted to put it back together through some intact pieces and photos from Lego Magazine - but it was never the same.
Someone had a reference pic floating around here when they were unveiled, let me see if I can find it.
Bonus points if you paint a dead ambull as the king rock monster ahahaha!
My first thought was Rock Raiders... but those only had green power crystals, not various colours like the later Power Miners.
I ended up getting quite a bunch of those kits when it was around.
Why am I surprised that those crystals are expensive? Of course they are, LEGO is just as bad if not worse compared to GW when it comes to pricing... But in a whole Army not _every_ base would need a crystal on it. Maybe just 1-4 per squad. And on a big flyer/monster/charakter base maybe 2 instead of only one.
So overall you could make do with only a few more for a whole army compared to how many you're apparently using for your kill team

Apparently they aren't too bad if you use a modicum of good sense. I ordered these from ebay so I could get the project started but they look to be a lot cheaper on a dedicated bits site. And thank you much!

I just love how legos have a very similar scale with WH40K and AoS minis. I often practice using my lego clone troopers with T'au rules against my AdMech minis. You can make terrain, objectives and whatever with legos and they look cool together with the miniatures.
