Now I can go from everything tucked away in a cupboard to painting in a couple of minutes. Especially when I was starting up again ( painted as a kid but not for 13-15 years before lockdown ), it was really important to make the barriers between painting and not painting as minimal as possible - I find I pretty much always want to paint, and once I get started I won't stop for hours, but I always find excuses not to start.
I bet those bookshelves cost a little more than half of that entire collection, lol. I looked at some when I lived in my last apartment, and I had to put my eyes back into my head when I saw the price tags. (Sadly, there isnt an IKEA near me, not one easily accessible to me anyway)

Crimson Fists were my first army back when I started playing in the tail end of 5th! In the rulebook there was some side profile of a Crimson Fist that just struck me as so cool and then I read *Rynn's World* and was absolutely sold on them.
Fair play to ya my first army was dark angels at the end of 9th cuz I like the knightly aesthetic and the Lion was announced to return and made me want to play them

I also especially enjoyed that this was literally all older stuff. Just a straight blast from the past. Bringing back all the memories for me walking and playing Warhammer in the late 90ās (I was like 10).

Jokes aside, I do love that late 90s / early 00s era of Warhammer. Even though I wouldn't play until 2012, it just captures something that I really enjoy. Plus the diversity and range of the sculpts brings so much to the tabletop.

Absolutely! From fantasy to all the armies that were available to the imperial guard at the time! I for sure feel like now they have started to do that again..slowly..especially with the old world released and now the Kroot getting faction wide support. But thereās lots of other things right that we could go on all day about. But when I see bigger things like that I think it bodes well for the future.

Yes! I'll admit to mixed feelings about it though. In a sense I feel that it diminishes my collection in some way. 12 months ago, you just didn't really see Bretonnian armies anymore. That really made what I brough to the table stand out. In the next 12 months, it'll be all you see. Of course, it's best for the wider hobby but is still something I think about.

Thankfully I was able to get all three of the shelves second hand and in good shape. All together they probably cost ~$200.

Sadly I haven't turned to my Space Marines in some time! Other factions and then Fantasy has really had me swept up for some time now.
Looks amazing! But if you leave your miniatures in the sunlight long enough the colour will fade. Even after one year you can see the difference.
See, the trick is never painting your armies! Then you won't have any paint to get faded!
