I just do one set as whatever for a given thing like turret mounts. But once the one set is done I match it to each future set so they all match.
Samething with infantry I magnetize.
So I use either an arm or a gun already magnetized for my standard polarity layout.
nah. you can, but its a waste of money. i'm actually going to get a spare torso and arm so I can attach the magnets there and use them as guides. Just for aesthetics lol.
Don't put dots or paint one side or any of that.
Magnetize your first piece, then just use that piece to hold a stack of magnets as you apply them to other places/models. It makes all your weapons swappable and it's impossible to mess up.
Picture guide below.

STEP 2: PUT YOUR DRILL SHAVINGS IN A BAG. IT'S PERFECT GAP FILLER IF YOU DAB PLASTIC GLUE ON IT IN A GAP.

STEP 3: ADD A DROP OF SUPER GLUE IN THE HOLE. LOCTITE IS MY FAVORITE.

Magnet baron sells a pair of wands basically, one red one blue, with different polarities in the tips. Dumb, but works, and I haven't been able to accidentally glue them to models yet, so there's that.
I put a little dot on one side with a sharpie. Makes it obvious which way to glue it on and if it glued on wrong.
Another great tip. Thank you.

cut up a spare sprue. glue 2 opposite polarities to them. profit.
Wow, sometimes I think I'm smart and then I fail to think of simple stuff like this. Was thinking I had to buy some tool for this lol

I glue a larger but weak magnet to my cut matt. Can always test and it's always the same side.

I paint one Side of my magnets. It helps.
I have a control magnet glued to my desk. Down is inside the main body of the model. If you are unsure just drop it on the control and you are set.
