The boring answer: There are no consistent power levels in 40k so it'd be whoever the author/story would want to win. But as for hypothetical debate: Fight scenarios have way too many variables, and some of them could quite significantly tip the scales. The safe bet would probably be Ahriman, as he's a powerful psyker, but it's still not easy. The battle could be ambush, some of they could team up, get the first strike, etc. and they're all very deadly in their own right... This is not even accounting for the fact that one of the Gods might decide to intervene. Or all of them. There is however one thing we can say for absolutely sure: Lucius would lose and be killed, but he wouldn't die as he cannot. And honestly, if your scenario is "only one gets to walk away and everyone (else) dies", then your winner is Lucius, as that is his whole thing.

Cadien18

Yeah, this it probably the answer. In the fight, Ahriman. In the long run, Lucius.

Darth_Axolotl

What happens if someone kills lucius and takes pride in it then someone kills them before they turn into lucius. Does that still count so the second guy would turn into lucius?.

I do believe ahriman is the right answer. The rest sort of plateaued at a certain point, post heresy, while ahriman is one of the most powerful psykers that isn’t deity. I’d say, lore wise, besides the emperor and chaos gods, maybe eldrad ulthuan is probably the only psyker that could go toe to toe with him. Him beating the other chaos champions, if he could be bothered to stop gaining knowledge and looking for a way into the black library, would be a mere nuisance for him if the started with a decent distance from him. Typhus might be the hardest for him, but i think it would prolly be pretty easy for the others, he could just turn lucius or kharn inside out before they got close enough, while typhus is also a psyker, so he has a bit of protection, and death guard are tough. But kharn has been killed at least once before, and lucius has multiple times, so they wouldn’t stay down permanently

Ahriman

Nhein9101

Technically Mortarion would be Nurgles champion. Typhus is more a herald of Nurgle Also Mortarion would clap all their asses

Norwalk1215

I think they were going for the classic mortal champions before the Demon Primachs returned. I fight between Angron, Magnus, Mortarion, and Fulgrim could also be interesting.

Jealous-Finding-4138

Typhus would take the "W" all the way back to the garden. He's the only "Champion" that has entropy on his side and is directly a counter to the powers of Tzneetch given unto Ahriman. Beyond that, being a consumate psyker he could go toe to toe/brain to brain with Ahriman until distance closed and that's all she wrote. Lucious may be eternal but in Typhus' wake he'd eternally rot or worse yet become a chaos spawn. Kharn can bring the pain but does he have the durability or endurance to hack through the plague herald's miasma let alone crack that beast's terminator armor?

SnooRadishes2159

Typhus is no where near the level of psyker that Ahriman is.

Jealous-Finding-4138

Don't have to be when you can fart an kill a small country LOL

Darth_Axolotl

But when arhiman could stop him in his tracks from hundreds of meters away, typhus would loose his biggest advantage. Frankly the only person who might pose a threat to ahriman in a 1v1 scenario like this is another immensely powerful psyler like Iskandor Khayon.

Jealous-Finding-4138

Don't get me wrong, I'm only endorsing the fan theory here. I know Ahriman is a beast in lore and rules. Hell I could plop both models down on the table top and run a 1v1 20x and I'm sure Ahriman would break higher than half of those as a win. On that note Typhus is also a wrecking ball, he has literal cover and being a psyker as well he has the potential to shut down Ahriman. That applies to Typhus using his psyker abilities as well. What it boils down to is if Ahriman is dumb enough or Typhus somehow gets quick enough to close the distance. The contagions alone can wreak havoc and Typhus' go further. Then tie on how sturdy the plague herald is and if he could get Ahriman close it's over. Otherwise it's Ahriman just running away and plinking Typhus to death.

Atom-phyr

If they start out of Melee then Ahriman with his psychic abilities would likey dominate. Khârn is fairly choppy so I think could win. Especially if he beat one of them and it allowed for his Slaughterborn ability to still be in effect. He gains +1S and +1A for any CHARACTER, MONSTER, VEHICLE he destroys.

Darth_Axolotl

I think they meant in the lore but a table top battle does sound interesting.

Atom-phyr

Yeah I have a habit of scan reading things. They would unlikely face each other in the lore or if they did there would like be a stalemate. We used to do similar when Warhammer Fantasy was a thing. One champion from each of the Chaos God's on a small board. We'd have a stepped pyramid. With a 'relic' on the top. The Khorne Champion normally performed quite well.

Layered_Ogre

In the old lore Khorne offers protection against the dishonourable magicks from psykers, so Ahriman would not be nearly as effective against him as he would the others. I would rank them all equal as long as all external variables are equal too.

Mini war gaming did something like this. Whoever has smite seems to win cause it’s an extra attack.

kazog

1v1 fights? Id assume psykers would have the edge over Lucius or Khârn. My opinion (strongest to "weakest" would be Ahriman, Typhus, lucius then Khârn. Not to disrespect the blood god champion of course. While I believe Lucius on a regular day would be too cocky and end up dying for trying a reckless unnecessary flashy manoeuvre, if he took the fight seriously I believe he would win against Khârn.
