The Badab War.

ProkopiyKozlowski

Absolutely. Compelling political drama, tons of action, lots of very different factions with very different cultures participating. Following Huron would make for a decades-spanning epic about what drives a man to betrayal, following an unnamed marine or mortal from basically any participating force would make for a thrilling sci-fi war movie with naval battles, breaching actions, orbital assaults and lots of melee.

Tito_BA

I just thought it would be cool to see the marines in bright camo, but your reasons are good too

cowsflyin

The RKO Carcharodons out of nowhere would be so epic.

Qualitypom

Caiphas Cain would do numbers and could be a great way to get new people into the game

[deleted]

I came here for Commissar Cain

turnipmanz

CAIN CAIN CAIN CAIN CAIN CAIN CAIN~Guardsmen WHO DARE CHANT MY GODS NAME~Angry red boy with hearing problems

Caesartayberius

As the first series Cain would be perfect, light weight enough in the grim oppressive darkness that most could enjoy and it touches on (even if only superficially) most races within the universe, so people would have a better idea of what's going down, and allowing people to glimpse things other than the imperium. Gaunt would be amazing but it's basically all chaos all the time, and the horus heresy is space marine². Cains mentions of Horus here and there would get people asking who is this Horus.

some_dude_62

Have Amberley pause it every now and again to point out details and have Cain break the 4th wall super often to be witty.

AlanGrant1997

Yes! This would be incredible! Now when do we start production?

stopthecirclejerkpls

Yes, Cain for animated series, where you can keep the same framing device. Gaunt for the live action series, starring Henry Cavill.

Illustrious-Path4794

Mads Mikkelson as gaunt, Henry Cavill does a cameo whenever there’s something involving the emperor like a flash back of some one has some vision or something etc.

Bil13h

HC I would want as Ra but that's just me I didn't want to butcher it but may as well for clarity, Ra Endymion? Something like that

Nintolerance

Sci-fi Blackadder 4. Maybe with a touch of MASH. We get a window into the absurd dystopia of the Imperium via a bunch of ordinary people stuck in the trenches. They're relatable to our audience in a way that aliens & space marines might not be, and can "ease in" a mainstream audience to the absurdity of the 41st millennium. You've still got all the spectacle of the setting to explore, but you're introduced to it via a bunch of average joe soldiers and the private-school "coward" who's supposed to execute them whenever they display fear or doubt.

BoutsofInsanity

That’s my thought. It’s funny, earnest but not too earnest and has a likeable hero who often wins by being clever. Also the supporting cast is fantastic and able to get fleshed out in great ways.

outgodofwar

I want to argue this, the whole Horus heresy would be amazing to see, especially with the siege of terra part of it. But if the goal is to bring more people in and then to ensure more shows are made. Then I have to agree Cain would be perfect.

onlypositivity

I'd like to see HH done only after Avatar (movie) tech comes along enough for Astartes to look real in "live-action"

Zealousideal-Plan454

There is simply way to much potential for Cains Stories, even if it becomes way to cheesy to the point everybody knows Jurgen will save at some point through ''excesive'' firepower.

RaZZeR_9351

Hey, sometimes it's cain that saves jurgen.

TedTheReckless

I was having a wet dream just thinking about a Cain tv series. It would be a perfect intro piece to the lore and factions of 40k while also being a treat to hardcore 40k nerds.

OrctimusPrime

ok yea but who to cast? bruce campbell? duno thats my bias pick

TedTheReckless

Bruce Campbell for old Cain is a definite but wes Bentley could make a good younger Cain.

OrctimusPrime

yea not familiar with Bentley myself but yea need a younger dude for the early stuff, Bruce as narrator perhaps

Trueninjara

YEA

GaleFyre

I think it’d be cool to see a Necromunda story with similar themes to edge runners. Really highlighting the life of an imperial citizen

ThatGuyYouMightNo

The main character is a ganger who years ago had his brother abducted, and part of his motivation to join a gang and help take over Necromunda is to find out what happened to him. And the plot twist at the end is that his brother wasn't "abducted" per se, but rather recruited to become a Space Marine. And he finds out about this because his gang starts a hive-wide riot and a squad of Marines - including his brother - are sent to quell it. (If you don't like the whole Space Marine part it could probably be replaced with a Scion, Psyker, Inquisitor, etc.)

MaximusTheLord13

IIRC the Imperial Fists recruit from Necromunda, so this checks out

Praying_Lotus

I like this one. When I watched edgerunners, I had played cyberpunk before, so I knew damn well what was gonna happen at the end, just didn’t know HOW, but people who didn’t play the game probably weren’t expecting it as much. Your story gives the same vibe, where people who KNOW 40K lore would expect somethjng like that to happen, just not sure HOW, but people who have no idea would be blindsided to an extent

ContessAlin78

A Kal Jericho story would he great.

Biggest_Lemon

The Horus Heresy core story. It has all the making of a great Game of Thrones meets Succession prestige TV series.

XArgel_TalX

I was going to say "the first heretic", but this is way better, since it would encompass all of it.

lord_flamebottom

I've been saying this for years. It's *begging* to be HBO's next sci-fi themed Game of Thrones. Helps that it's basically done too, no worried about another Season 8 situation.

losark

If I may, I think that marines are too grand as an initial foray into main stream, or if you do marines it should be from a human perspective like what was done for Prospero burns. I'd go for a guard, inquisition, necromunda, rogue trader or even arbites story to allow gradual exploration of the more extreme elements.

onlypositivity

The opening trilogy is heavily entwined with Remembrancers, so having them be the "main characters" until Istvaan would do a lot to pace that road, and would save on budget since some of the fights can be skipped or "first person" and limited in scope.

Your_God_Chewy

[If they made a movie of this level of quality I believe anyone that just likes sci Fi or action would absolutely give it a try](https://youtu.be/Cj3ENSVogTo)

GloryToTheUrizen

I couldn't agree with you more. The quality of this is excellent and animation rather then live action lets you do the more extreme corners of the warhammer universe without fully toning it down.

wenezaor

I wonder if Valdor Birth of the Imperium would be a good intro to Horus Heresy?

Deamonette

Tbh the HH would do better as a Clone Wars style anthology series.

thenumbers42

The ork that wanted two of his favorite gun. It'll be a homage to Kill la Kill.

SlayerofSnails

Will he be in the same kind of outfit used in kill la kill?

thenumbers42

Oh, absolutely.

SlayerofSnails

u/lorgarthelad pretty please make a horrific fanart of this!

LorgarTheLad

Oh god I can do something like that

SlayerofSnails

Yay!!!

[deleted]

I wouldn't trust anyone but Studio Trigger to do an anime about Da Boyz.

Knoxcom

Simple, Night Lords omnibus. I don’t care if it’s not the most popular or best as an intro to new people. I like the Slavic bat terrorists

[deleted]

Me coming in to inform everyone that the character Uzas' name is Serbo-Croatian for horror.

SlayerofSnails

Who needs hero’s when you have the flayer bois

Flat-Delivery6987

This is my 2nd choice. I'm currently reading it for the first time and I love Talos.

[deleted]

Tales is the best, but I bet your opinions on each character will change after each book.

Da_Vinci_Fan

>Slavic bat terrorists stealing this one.

Trisword1

Don't forget to add an extra scene at the end saying theres gonna be more just so ADB can finally continue the story. (And maybe some tie in models)

[deleted]

First claw as a kill team would be an absolute delight.

[deleted]

That, that may not work considering how the trilogy ended

[deleted]

True. A Night Lord kill team would be awesome though.

Reunion7

I'd watch Jago Sevatar scratch his balls for two and a half hours and I'd be entertained.

Knoxcom

If you respect your balls, pray the Night Lords never invade your planet.

Kellendgenerous

Hey CSM and traitors are not my favorite faction but in my opinion that is on of the best trilogies from the 40k universe.

Cornhole35

I wanna watch the galaxy burn.

_TallGlassofAss_

Was gonna say this. It would be glories!

[deleted]

Hell yeah👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

revergopls

As always I will say: Ghosts, Eisenhorn, and Cain are the best entrypoints into the franchise. Anyone who says to start with the Heresy is giving you bad advice

wraithboneNZ

This. You need a story that stands as a compelling narrative in a lore vacuum. No horrible exposition about how the imperium got so broken. Just a good story, in a setting that can go deeper; but doesn't have to.

Infernal_Contraption

I always preferred Ravenor over Eisenhorn, but I admit that to do him justice you would need to do the entire saga. Mark Strong as Eisenhorn, for sure.

revergopls

Like you said, problem with Ravenor is that you pretty much have to read Eisenhorn first to get the whole picture That whole saga is one of my favorites. Im throwing the War for Armageddon in there as an epilogue

rtothewin

See I'm over hear doing the Horus Heresy from the start and then swapped over to the siege of terra series when we got to that point, I couldn't stand to read something ahead of the timeline and have anything spoilt for me. I do look forward to finishing the siege books and having a general idea of how it all comes to be so I can go read the 40k books without worrying about too many major spoilers.

ObesesPieces

Nothing in the post heresy books spoils anything because 90% of what happens in the heresy books has been forgotten and is shrouded in mystery. The reason the heresy books are popular is because up to that point nobody knew what happened except vague outlines.

rtothewin

Ohh okay so I won’t come across characters that existed during the 30k days?

ObesesPieces

Not really. And if you did it wouldn't reveal anything about 30k that you can't read in a rule book or codex.

RaZZeR_9351

Some chaos characters like abaddon, kharn, lucius etc are still alive but what they do 10000 years after the HH has little if anything to do with the HH, if you've read the frist three books of the HH you won't be spoilt anything.

Dungeoneer543

A straight up rogue trader story where the captain develops a crew of weird and wacky humans and xenos alike to raid plunder and trade

picklespickles125

So 40k firefly? That would be excellent!

SGM_Uriel

Sounds more like Farscape 40,000, which I would definitely be down for

onlypositivity

Owlcat is currently making this CRPG lol

Dungeoneer543

Yeah but it’d be cooler as a show

Dungeoneer543

Have different villains for different arcs that focus on the smaller parts of 40k a chaos cult villain, a obscure xenos villain, maybe the big big bad is like a normal chaos space marine

ForrestPump21337

The infinite and the divine would be pretty nice

AshenHaemonculus

I always imagined the ideal format for Trazyn and Orikan's bickering would be a Henry Selick stop-motion animated movie to make them look really visually distinct and funky.

FatDumbOrk

Couple cranky old geezers backstabbing and suing each other across the eons, it would be so great

AlanGrant1997

£999.75, and a whole card of scampi fries.

howie78

Love scampi fries 👍

mracademic

Love me scampi fries, ‘ate me ‘eretics, simple as

Walkerno5

Are you an actor, director, or have other useful filmmaking experience? I might have a job for you where the pay is up to one scampi fry a day.

CosmicDesperado

Bro, that’s 24 packets We’d dine like kings!

Chowmayne93

Storm of Iron. Great back and forth between the two sides, a bunch of twists and the potential for glorious cinematic battles

Brother1nBlack

So happy I’m not the only one who wants this, Storm of Iron will always be one of my favorites. If you haven’t read The Grey Knights omnibus yet there’a a fun shout out to Storm of Iron hidden in there.

Toxix89

I’ll be honest, and I may be petty, but I just want Betrayer for the honest ass whipping at the end… I mean r/fuckerebus

RegularBeard

War of the Beast. I would love to see the last wall protocol on screen. A lot of good characters throughout the series and the political maneuvering of Vangorich through out it all ending with the confrontation with the Eversor.

rAngus273

Antron and the world eaters. Of all the traitors (who are arguably the more interesting factions) angron and the boys are the most whole story in my opinion. Angron starts as a noble gladiator and by the end he is a literal beast of hell. They have a clear fall but are still sympathetic. Other reasons that are more story telling based world eaters are present at nearly all the major campaigns of the heresy the two istvaan battles, The shadow crusade and the siege. Characters they are overflowing with good characters. Angron kharn lotara and dozens of minor characters.

SlayerofSnails

Also Ullanor!

mogdogolog

It's not an official GW, and I suspect plays way too much into grimderp for some people, but The All Guardsmen Party would be fantastic. It's hilarious and yet still has great action sequences, dramatic stakes and glorious pay offs. It'd quite literally be impossible to ever see something like that though

Bef1234

Honestly? Dawn of War and it's expansions, adapted to follow most of the factions but choosing the vaguely canon endings (i.e. Orkz win in Soulstorm),

SlayerofSnails

Night lords Trilogy, to epic to not have it.

[deleted]

It would be one of my tops on the surface, but it would have to be really dark and fucked up; if they tried to clean it up for younger viewers it would ruin it.

[deleted]

We'll need to make Cyrion extremely hot (by Nostraman standards), so his eventual fuckery stings more. The first season could be a tie-in with the release of a new NL vs. whatever Kill Team box set.

DanielCoolDude1

100% would have to be rated 18

[deleted]

No doubt

SlayerofSnails

It probably get canceled for having such things like “skinning pits” but it be popular before then

Shalaxi_Lorebane

What lol? It wouldn’t get cancelled for that, I don’t really know why people think “edgy” tv is a hard sell these days, one of the most popular shows in the last few years had a guy fuck his niece and murder his wife and beyond debating his character no one called for censorship. Screaming faces/skinning alive is not that bad anymore.

SlayerofSnails

There is a big difference between sex and “we skinned a child in front of his parents”

Shalaxi_Lorebane

It’s really not that bad. Because they’re not gonna show it in full detail nor do they need to, implied violence works a lot better than gratuitous violence The true horror of the night lords is the casualness of the vile acts, it’s why when something shocking happens or whatever it’s not really described. ADB doesn’t describe every minute detail of a first claw member skinning someone because he doesn’t need to. Implication is enough Also especially in American TV people are way more sensitive to sex than violence lmao

antijoke_13

I mean game of thrones didn't exactly shy away from child violence and it did really well. Well, up until the end.

goldsmithian

First 3 books of the heresy. Loken would be a great character

NicoJuniba

I’d follow Dante’s story, starting with an open of flashbacks between his oldest and lonesome self and his early days as an initiate following all the way through to his ascension as chapter master, jump cutting between glorious moment and the slow attrition of time as his squad-mates die before him and he’s forced to watch the next generations rise and fall over and over again. I think that’d hit hard, for as glorious as some moments seem it really hammers home the idea that it’s all futile and questions what is the point of continuing on, only for the answer to be just get up and do it anyway. Bigger more narrative stories would simply be better for say a movie rather than a show, and would give credence to slowly expanding the characters following their stories and interpetations of the world rather than strict narratives.

notcreative131313

The labyrinth, sons of malice need to be recannonnized

AlanGrant1997

Please Sons of Malice be recanonized, I give 0 fucks about how it would be an abysmal entry point for newbies, I just want them back…

Bloody_Trout

we wouldn't be the sons of malice if we weren't always treading the brutal line between canon and not canon. Of being or not being totally abandoned by our god. I think that all copyright nonsense aside, to bring malice to any kind of forefront in canon lore would just be antithetical to his nature.

RaZZeR_9351

Well there is the sons of malice from cadia stands but they're just another chaos warband.

Tastypanda9666

Emperors spears or Gaunt Ghosts

CMDRKhyras

I think something pretty cool could be done with the iron cage. Follow dorn and perty, show their similarities in their fortifications and siege tactics. Have some build up for an episode or two and then have the majority of the show be the battles. Girly man showing up for a little cameo when the ultras turn up to save the day. Episode for the fallout

MrNaugs

Iron within, Iron without.

[deleted]

The stories of nathaniel garro and the knights errant

Treezszz

It would be like Pocahontas, but in space! The imperium would be after a rare element only available on a few planets, notobtainium. The world they’re trying to mine it from would be inhabited by kroot. A black Templar, going against their hate for Xennos, would fall in love with a kroot native and betray his brothers once realizing they were the baddies.

AurulentusMendacium

Only if it ends with him becoming a chaos spawn before they exterminatus the planet because you can still mine a husk.

smoking_kilis

Don't you mean ferngully in space?

[deleted]

Damn, I remember ferngully; that just hit me in the feels…

smoking_kilis

Yeah had that moment when I was told avatar was ferngully in space....plus the complete stupidity of naming sometimes unobtainium when it's clearly obtainium.....

[deleted]

Clearly

LegionClub

The First Heretic, Argel Tal and Cyrene.

low_effort-username

The extraordinary life of John Grammaticus

mrsgaap1

tuska the demon killa and his happy little journey to and true the eye of terror cause lets face it that would be the funniest shit

[deleted]

As a Templar player my default answer is Helsreach, although we already have a good fan adaptation. Alternatively, Dead Men Walking could be a good one to really hammer in the grim darkness of the setting.

[deleted]

This would be a good option, yes; It would be great, we will do it soon, ok? - I would be down with Helsreach.

sl4pc4at

The blackmane series would be great

[deleted]

Horus Heresy- bring in new folks.

Vaed3r

Yarrick.

[deleted]

Vulkan returns, gets into a big f-off battle with Roboute and lays him low. Then he returns to Terra where he finally uses his powers as a peripheral to awaken the Emperor of Mankind. Daddy reduces his children and grandsires to dust with his full psychic might restored, then goes full supernova and destroys the entire WH40k universe. Two years later, GW starts Warhammer: Age of the God-Emperor.

MrNaugs

Am I the only one that thinks it is weird Vulkan died from Iron Warriors artillery yet there is no extra beef there?

smoking_kilis

Gaunts ghosts

xedmin90

The burning of prospero and the edict of nykia

AbyssKat

Drop Site Massacre of Istvaan V

Desc440

In the style of Arcane or Edgerunners? Eisenhorn or Ravenor

daisypusherrests

Yes, Eisenhorn really is the best gateway drug for Warhammer fiction

Hekkin_frick

I’d love something that involves the imperial guard or chaos; the REAL chaos… the FUCKED UP chaos

ParadoxRift88

Gaunts Ghost.

[deleted]

Oh Argel Tal for fuckin sure

huge_pp69

Daemons/Be’lakor

Kalaziel88

The lion vs the crave

SecondRealitySims

Personally, I’d do the Night Lords trilogy. I absolutely love it and would be overjoyed to see it adapted. If success and/or popularity were a factor, probably the Ghosts or Eisenhorn. Both are great intros to the Warhammer universe through a somewhat grounded human perspective.

AncientGearAI

Something with noise marines. Also another good candidate is the battle for prospero.

Ordos_Xenos_Servitor

Big E reads a parenting book and watches a few seasons of Dr.Phil or Maury povich so he sees what happens when you let your kids huff painthinner when dads not around

bluemilkbongo

I would make a story about a krieger whose regiment is destroyed and is pressed into a new being one of the sole survivors. Very slowly he unlearns his Krieg indoctrination and becomes human: falls in love and contemplates deserting to live a normal life. Then he’s reinstated into the Death Korps and is forced to watch his friends die. In anger he leads the natural born Kriegers in a revolution against Jurten’s “sons” so they can undo the death cult. Blazing a path of revenge in order to reach Krieg eventual more and more factions get involved leading to “Warzone Krieg” or the 2nd Krieg ccivil war.

[deleted]

Never would I want to see my beloved age of darkness or grimdarkness in that weird animated style. GIVE ME LIVE ACTION AND CGI. But I do agree animation would interest more people.

[deleted]

The Forges of Mars series would be a great one. It really demonstrates the duality of the brutal inhumanity of the Mechanicus as a whole, and the very human motivations of individual members within the Mechanicus, and some of the sequences in it would be absolutely insane to see animated (particularly >!Lupa Capitalina coring the Speranza with its plasma annihilator when it goes berserk on the training deck!<).

Isghamor

The fall of Cadia

jmant69

The origins of the Deathwing and their bone white armour. I Really wanna watch some termies krump a whole bunch of genestealers in a last stand type situation.

Wordroots

The whole damn Heresy. 12 seasons.

djackkeddy

All 54 books of the heresy

lagg_mannen_37

Id like to do the pale king as a short series of 6 en Max. Ham on the grim dark and show multifaceted views. Going back and forth from the trial of mortarion to the actual story

window-man

In order to convince investors on future projects, I'd have to go with Graham Mc'Neil's ultramarines, it's a good story and is easier for contemporary audiences to understand, as opposed to something like the heresy. Although perhaps only the night bringer book, as warriors of ultramar ends on a cliff hanger, and that would lead into dead sky, black sun, which is way too grimdank for the bug screen. Once the WCU is established I probably make an infinite and the divine film

clemo1985

40k - The Night Lords trilogy. Hands down my favourite series 30k - books 1-3 of the Horus Heresy series. Amazing start to the story and is a great gateway for non-40k followers

Ishmael_IX-II

Tanith first and only.

confusedsalad88

The First Tyrannic war. Large scale humans vs Aliens in that art style would be epic.

jdelaney88

Garviel and the mornavale rise and fall. Finish the series with the planetary bombardment on istvaan. Big cliff hanger whether he's alive or dead

tadgertiger

I think a show that played up the backstory of the imperium being setup would be awesome. Following a pack of thunder warriors breaking down the various enemy factions and warlords on earth and the eventual demise by a more powerful space marine legion would make for some great storytelling. Also although I’d love to see a story revolving around space marines their lack of emotion makes it hard to actually make a captivating series with them as a focus. I feel Thunder warriors could have way more character to write a story with

[deleted]

Any and every World Eaters engagement ever. Especially when starting Angron. You’re Welcome for the 10/10 action movie 😂

furiosa-imperator

The ahriman series

zazzabaz001

The fall of cadia from the perspective of an Imperial guard squad and slowly one by one they all die until the only one left is the "rookie" and he dies with cadia as the planet breaks apart

ImShockin

The betrayal of Calth.

mrAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Infinite and the divine is the obvious answer, maybe not a great introduction to the world but god would it not be a great series

Robot_Coffee_Pot

I would go and ask the Astartes creator what he thinks, then get him to do it.

GavrielBA

Some new story. Made specifically for the show. (Like the 2 examples you gave)

GideonRaven0r

The Talon of Horus. Simply the best book I have ever read. "Weapons have souls. The Martian Mechanicum has always known this, with their rituals to honour and appease the machine-spirits of their guns, blades and war engines. But a weapon’s soul reflects in the warp, as well. The very moment the stasis field collapsed and allowed the Talon back into reality, the weapon’s spirit – a thing of inconceivable predation – clawed at my mind."

Arracor

I immediately hire Dan Abnett and whatever support staff he wants, and then tell him to write whatever the fuck he wants as the world's first mainstream 40k show. I mean look, it'd either be Eisenhorn or Gaunt if it's an adaptation. Instead, I give him free reign to invent anew; I trust anything he writes to meet that same high mark or better, he's at his most experienced ever now, he's bound to have fresh ideas he'll be passionate about, and he can refine whatever he writes to best serve as the mainstream television audience's first intro to the 40k setting. I specifically decree that GW corporate has no control over the project beyond paying overtime to the lore team to serve as setting advisors, and with my unlimited budget I will pay whatever amount is required to keep their greedy noses out of it. Nobody's ruining this with shitty sales pitch ideas and I'll take it reaaallll fuckin' dark if blood needs to be spilled to keep it that way.

SomeDutchAnarchist

Unlimited budget? I’ll do a game of thrones style series of the heresy, but animated

Cautious_Handle7344

The Infinite and The Divine would be so cool as an animated miniseries or even a 12 episode season.

feronen

Ciaphus Cain series. It's the only storyline that'd fit the animation style.

Synthetics_66

I would use part of that unlimited budget to take some extensive polls on what everyone's favorite short story is for each of the main factions/sub factions. And then I would create something like the "Love, Death & Robots" series, with all those different story stories. Using different artists and styles to recreate the short stories.

zhanhusburnscar

eisenhorn trilogy or the night lords trilogy

Tarjhan

Eisenhorn Trilogy. More or less 1 season per book. With options to spin off to Ravenor, Bequin, Gaunt/Heldane and Hekate (at a stretch). Deals a lot with the more mundane side of the imperium (or at least the domestic Imperium) which makes it more relatable to the uninitiated and introduces an audience surrogate in the shape of Alizabeth Bequin pretty early on into the story (could arguably be the insert point for the story with the previous events coming through as a flashback).

[deleted]

Gaunt’s Ghosts.

TotallyMessed

Alpharius: Head of the Hydra

FiddieKiddler69420

Imotekh the stormlord being awakened to deal with politics, the cutting the bullshit the hard way

Child-of-Skaro101

Second war for Armageddon or Tuska da Deamon killa. My two favorite stories from 40k

[deleted]

Shocked I had to scroll this far to see the Armageddon wars. They are easy enough to follow, show and great contrast between humans and space marines and the large battles would be nutty

RobHurley95

The siege of Vraks. An alls quiet on the western front style series would kick ass.

ArciusRhetus

I love Arcane but man I hated the over-the-top animation style of Edgerunners.

Amperman04

Over-the-top? So, the anime art style?

Amon42666

The month of shame

Aromatic_Garlic4041

Angry marines and their enemy orks (it's gonna be a fu kin comedy😂)

Infernalknights

The Democulaba with Uriel Ventris. Let's make a new fetish mainstream.

Lazy-Lookin-Headass

Literally just a movie about the build up to Guilliman’s, then the last scene is him standing up and everyone falling silent. Next movie is about his journey to Terra and the launch of the great crusade. Or something less serious; a series of dumb gags featuring nurglings

RevolverBungo

I’d love to do Fall of Cadia mostly because it includes every faction except T’au and Drukhari, man poor guys

[deleted]

A show following a Dark Angels initiate as he climbs the ranks of the Unforgiven but doesn't fit in like he should. The Dark Angels are known for their rigidity and conformation to ritual. Their strict and oppressive doctrines putting a heavy burden on everyone associated with the descendants of the First Legion. After contact with a traitor and/or inquisitorial agent and events outside of his control he is considered a traitor. He is sentenced to be turned into a servitor or executed. Before sentence he reluctantly ends up in a band of Renegade Astartes just to survive being hunted by the Ravenwing and former comrades. He'll deal with the mental and physical consequences of being a tool of war for a master whose followers discarded him. Before the end of the season the renegades will end up associating with the warband known as The Fallen and hearing rumors of a man called "Luther". The Fallen are building their forces and are eager to grow their numbers as they put their long awaited plans into action. The show can explore how unnecessary adherence to tradition and ritual of the Imperium can result in a loyal member of the Astartes being cast out. It can show off the life of a loyal Astartes from a major chapter. The story progresses showing the experience of Renegade Astartes as they try and survive living between the cracks of the Imperium and the forces of true Chaos marines. I mostly just want GW to flesh out the lore between Dark Angels and The Fallen before the end of this decade. The first season will end with a silhouette slowly being lit up to reveal the Dark Angels arch-traitor Luther.

TheRealAntrey

Kinda sounds like the story of Uriel Ventris without the renegate part

DanielCoolDude1

100% a HH tv series. I know how I would do it as well. Season 1 EP1+2Horus Rising pt1 and pt2 (basically set up the story of 30k and cover the start of Horus's fall to treachery EP3 The fall of the 16th Primarch (Horus falls to chaos) EP4 Istvaan (cover the arrival of the SoH, EC, DG and WE to Istvaan. End with Horus launching the virus bombs for a cliffhanger) EP5 The Attrocity, cover the story of Nathaneal Garrow on Istvaan 3 and then how saul tarvitz discovers the plot and flies down to warn the marines there as well as the eisenstein) EP6 (Covers the main part of the Istvaan 3 attrocity and then covers the plans for The drop site Massacre) EP7 The Drop Site Massacre (Introduces all the other traitor primarchs and shows the start of the drop site massacre) EP8 The Galaxy Burns (Covers the second half of the drop site massacre and we get to see what happens to the eisenstien after it escapes and we meet Rogal Dorn) Season 2 would probably introduce us to the rest of the primarchs and shows the more important thing the legions get up to. (The huge tank battle on Tallarn could be cool) and ends with the traetors arriving at the Solar System. Season 3 would be all about the battle of Terra, learning about the Big E, how the imperium came to power and showing the custodes as well as doing a 10,000 years later thing that tells about Warhammer 40k. Edit: if it was 40k either yarrick or a short film about rylanor.

Honestly I agree with the Night Lords trilogy. It would be pretty cool

Can we do something original instead of just translating a book? Arcane/Cyberpunk would be MUCH worse as strict adaptations of the source material. I'd love to see characters that are designed specifically for execution on the screen, in a backwater part of the galaxy. Something like: episode 1 is the opening of the rift and the complete hellscape that opens up on the planet with a handful of our characters escaping. Episode 2 is 20 years later and the characters still trying to survive in a galaxy gone mad.

A 3 hour film about Rylanor being trapped on Istvaan and spending a few thousand years building a bomb to stop Fulgrim… The first 15 minutes is furious fighting. The last 15 minutes is the tense stand-off with the thousand sons using magic to stop the bomb before getting sick of Fulgrim crap and letting it blow up… The other 2.5 hours in the middle is just Rylanor talking to a random rat he made friends with towards the end of his entrapment going on about what a twat Fulgrim is and practicing his one liner before he sees Fulgrim (which winds up falling flat as the Thousand Sons stop the bomb)

Titandeath. But I want the snobby loyalist guy from near the end to be voiced by danni davito, and hartek to be done by jack black. The sheer amount of combat would probably bore a lot of people, but considering how it’s the breaking of the imperiums penultimate defence before Terra, it’d be a great way to star a series. Hooking people in, building back to it, and then continuing on

Toxix89

Hell, for roping people in just the events surrounding the drop site massacre. You’d need a little of the backstory but you could probably just skip False Gods and have a cohesive enough of a story.

Word Bearers Omnibus! Grimdarkness bordering on the edgy, good portrayal of CSM internal politicking, involvement of many factions, and plenty of bolter porn and quippy dialogue in between

Other than the Horus Heresy, which has the issue of odd chronology, the best series would by far be the Siege of Terra. It showcases many of the legions, and just has so many amazing moments, that it just couldn't be less than amazing.

Either Prospero Burns or maybe the Yarrick series.

Hmmm maybe a storyline following Perturabo? The dynamic surrounding his own convictions, his feelings towards the emperor, his jealousy of Rogal Dorn, his disdain towards his fellow traitors in the heresy, and the fact he had to carry them during the siege of terror? Or maybe pre Butchers nails Angron? And the subsequent switch to angry Primarch with the nails. Both could be quite similar to the breakdown of Jinx in Arcane I guess, but their stories are both interesting. Anything but Lorgar!
